This is a practice I have never seen on delta and haven't seen in aviation in almost 20 years in the US"

The headphones provided were similar to models from the 90s (and worked just as well), there was no individual screen for entertainment, and the seats were exceedingly cramped. At least the Wi-Fi was free."

Only once on this flight did I see a cabin crew member smile. Don't know why, but they were a most unhappy crew that day and this was conveyed to the passengers. I find this hard to believe, and perhaps both my husband and I fell asleep for the few minutes this would have taken, but neither one of us saw a crew member check for seatbelts and seat position before landing in TO. Boarding gate wasn't announced until an hour before boarding, which on an international flight from a large airport was a little stressful, but I am assuming there was a good reason for this."

Cons: "The worst boarding process I ever seen! The airport people and crew didn’t tell people what’s going on, there was a uhh delay. Big lines of people just standing and waiting. The flight took off 45 min late!!"

Cons: "They left us inside the plane for more than 30 minutes waiting to depart. Then when we were close to FRA they tell us they cannot areive because of the weather and got more delayed. When we finally get to FRA, there’s no machinery to get us out of the plane because it was broken. We had to wait for them to find some stairs and then take a shuttle while raining to the airport inside."

Pros: "Muffin distribution and the cushion"
Cons: "There was the used cups and dirts left in the pocket of the seat I was assigned. It was dirty and disgusting."

Cons: "When we asked for the late food service, they told us they did not have any more left. We ask them to look for anything left and after hour the food still not arrived."

Cons: "Check-in was a zoo. The agents were more interested in gossiping and were constantly on the phone or running in and out of their stations. It took nearly an hour to get through the 10 people ahead of us. And then we were told that my 1 bag would cost $53 to check-in and that I would have to go to another counter in a far away part of the airport to pay...and we had 20 minutes before boarding. Afger running to the cashier, we were told that she had no time and that we should go back to the agent to pay! We ran back and paid, then went to look for our gate. It was finally listed as Gate 12. We got though security ok and got into the line for Gate 12. It was more like a scrum tan a line. Nobod seemed to be doing anything when all at once we saw people boarding. We went to the gate but were told that our flight was boarding at Gate 10!!! WTF??? Gate 12 listed our flight number and Gate 10 listed another flight, but we did as were told and boarded via Gate 10. None of other passengers knew what the hell was going on but we all made it to Rome along with our baggage. We will NEVER fly Alitalia again."

Cons: "Delay, change of gate, crew on ground helpful but crew on board was not polite at all."

Cons: "Had my call button on for an hour to get some water to take an aspirin and no one ever came."

Cons: "The flight was only supposed to take two hours but instead they sat around for another hour and a half or so and then there was so little leg room that my knees even if I was all the way against the back wall showed into the seat in front of me so bad that I had to stick them out in the aisle and said crooked and then my seat would not latch"

Cons: "poor communication always, always late departure, seat space so small it baffles the mind on a long flight that they cram people into the plane in such a way"

Cons: "In Italy Alitalia was difficult to contact and failed to provide timely and complete information about changes to check in procedures, e-ticket number, and flight identification number changes. Web site clunky at best and telephone tree info all in Italian only. When I tried to check in on line only message was of a "problem" with the ticket. No way to get info even at airport until shortly before flight. Flight departed one hour late. My wife's foot room impeded by electronic control box under seat in front of her. In short, back office and online services poor but flight and plane ok. None the less, will not use Alitalia again due to back office problems."

Pros: "The flight departed on time and arrived 35 minutes early. The flight crew was very helpful onboard."
Cons: "Tried to upgrade my elderly parents to more comfortable seats when checking in, but was told the flight was full and there were none available. It didn't appear that way after being boarded and seated."

Cons: "HORRIBLE seats. So unbelievably uncomfortable"

Cons: "We had booked a weekend getaway, first the returned flight was cancelled and changed for a later one that didn't work for us (we couldn't get to work on time), we managed to change that for another flight the day before, shortening our vacation, then, when we got to the airport, an hour before boarding, we find out there, without warning, that the outgoing flight had been cancelled! This time it wasn't automatically changed, and there was no warning, the only solution they were giving us was an afternoon flight the other day, shortening our weekend getaway even more. After half an hour of discussion, they found and earlier flight, with connection, double the time, but that would get us there at around 2pm, so still we were missing almost half a day, but that was the best they could do. The flight was OK, boarding was late, but hey, that seems to always be the experience with this type of flights. I would just say they are not very reliable, having both your outbound and inbound flights cancelled, seems to much, specially if you're just going for a short getaway, you may end up having a one-day getaway!"

Pros: "Initially I was a little worried because Alitalia had given us some disappointments in the past, but it was the most convenient flight this time for our final destination.We had to take 3 flights to arrive to our final destination, 2 with Alitalia.The crew was polite, helpful. We were very happy that for the first time Alitalia didn't loose our luggage(!) and we got it in Athens. Thank you!!!"

Pros: "fast boarding"
Cons: "crews are extremely rude; whenever they had to move the cart in the isles they always ended up slamming every passengers arm without a single apology. and they have no control of the environment due to some young passengers were making loud noises during the whole flight."

Cons: "They forgot my luggage but knew exactly where it was was and got it to me the next evening."

Pros: "My checked bag did not show up in Prague"

Cons: "I tried to talk with the service desk to change my flight before the flight and the service team could not help me out because only the service desk outside security could look up other fights. I find this hard to believe and a little ridiculous that AirItalia would make their customers run around inside and outside security to switch flights. We live in a day of technology and have computers for a reason. There shouldn't be an issue why other flights can be looked up from only one computer. In addition, we boarded the plane and then we waited on the tarmac for 2 hours waiting to leave. The air was turned off and it was hot and stuffy inside the plane."

Cons: "The crew disappeared, they would not come when they were called. They were too busy fighting with each other."

Cons: "My flight was cancelled and didnt get information from the hungarian ground staff about the reason. They just changed it for Austrian Airlines but I don't like Austrian Airlines and i had also an Insurance for this ticket. After a long conversation I could fly by Lufthansa with stopover in Frankfurt."

Cons: "My luggage was not loaded on the aircraft! I have NO clothes for a special event! Unacceptable!"

Cons: "staff was nice, lost my luggage, and it was 8 hours late, i paid 2x to leave earlier, and got in later than the cheapest flight"

Cons: "Old airplane. No entertainment at all. The lugage remain in the airport and didn't arrive at destination."
