Cons: "I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

Cons: "The seats were incredible jam-packed together. We had a 9 1/2 hour flight from Tokyo and could not even sit without our knees touching the seat in front of us. My tray table couldn't even properly extend -- the seats are so tight my tray just folded up on top of me. The food was BAD. 1/3 edible out of each course, consistently. I saw other passengers also dumping untouched trays of mystery meat that came as a side. They handed out egg-tomato-cucumber sandwiches which were inedible. The tomato had gone bad and the egg had a sour taste -- I gagged when I took the first bite. I'm especially disappointed with the seat spacing, though. I had a really difficult time getting in/out of the seating aisle to use the restroom. Even with our bags stored under the seat, I couldn't get in without tripping on/getting my foot caught in the strap of our purses/backpack. I couldn't even turn on one side without my arms or legs touching the passenger next to me -- sore neck, sore back, and still couldn't even get a wink of sleep. I will not be flying internationally with American Airlines again. They are the epitome of an airline trying to cash in on as many seats as possible. Save yourself the trouble and fly Japan Airlines directly -- their food was great and their seats were very comfortable."

Cons: "American Airlines seemed to be out of sorts on both days of the trip. My connecting flight seat was not assigned until I got to my connecting airport. On the way back, we sat in the plane for over half an hour with no explanation. We then had to de-plane due to engine issues. The attendants at the counter were not that efficient with rescheduling itineraries, as they were often taking breaks, engaging in chit-chat with other workers, and answering personal phone calls during the process. On the connecting flight back, the ground crew "was not ready" for the plane and advised us to "hang out". This made for very little time in finding my connecting flight home (especially because the assigned gate was not even listed in the airport terminal). Not overly dramatic. Just a lot of small things that culminated in a very frustrating travel day. I will likely be avoiding American Airlines in the future."

Cons: "No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Delays became incrementally longer, announcements were not as quick as they should have been -- e.g. I learned of the gate change from another passenger rather than the crew at the gate. Then, the flight we did catch was delayed in the air due to congestion at LaGuardia. AC was too cold for me. Admittedly some of these problems were well outside Air Canada's control, but the communication weaknesses were their fault."

Cons: "The flight was a codeshare with Air Canada. It was delayed by 2.5 hours which I later found out is typical for this flight and that it rately leaves Glasgow on time. So I missed my early afternoon connecting flight to Detroit. Air Canada could not get me out until the next evening and was quite rude. They did not put me up in a hotel or give me food vouchers until I complained. When I complained, they were able to get me on a flight the next morning rather than the next evening. The food was mediocre at best."
Pros: "The plane was very new. Had a great entertainment system. Power plug ins. USB plug ins. Seats were a bit small, but when are they not?"
Cons: "They forgot to bring me dinner then when I finally got someone's attention they told me they had given away ALL the dinners. How is that even possible? In the end they gave me a first class meal so not bad."
Pros: "India ( flight attendant) provided very poor customer service during flight. I have been a nurse for 24 years and i simply asked for a cool cloth for a gentleman sitting next to me that was feeling ill and very pale. India returned with 5 emesis bags and no cloth and never once came back to check on the gentleman!!! I really wish it was not a full flight because i would have advised him to puke all over everything. How hard was it to provide a cool cloth?? Really? I know first class has wash cloths and that was an easy request. And the fact that she never came back to see if we needed anything or to tell us she did not have a cloth for him. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will think twice about flying Air Canada again. Thank god for good citizeans willing to help strangers in a time of need."

Cons: "We were late arriving in Toronto and our connecting flight was scheduled to depart 20-25 mins from landing and we still needed to get off the plane. Even though the flight staff did request that those individuals who did not have a tight connection to allow those with a tight connection to pass through more quickly - most passengers didn't cooperate. A better process needs to be put in place to ensure those whom have connections are able to meet them."

Will never fly Air Canada again if I have any other option!"

Boarding in Istanbul was a circus with our passports being checked 5 times and a supposedly "random" search of carry-on baggage, but almost all passengers were subjected to it. User interface of entertainment screens was slow and not helpful ( I have to click on each movie to even see the title? Terribly time consuming. ). Flight was in the middle of the day, but windows were darkened to make it look like night time almost the whole way. Why can't we control our own Windows?"
