There were MULTIPLE sick people on board the flight and I had two seats but the second person didn’t show. When boarding, someone was in my seat so I moved a row back (no biggie)- but his friend was disgustingly sick (which made sense why he moved to my seat instead of sitting next to him.) I decided to move to the row on the immediate other side away from his germs and the attendant was being a little funny about me moving seats saying on her chart no one was supposed to be there- which caused a Karen attendant to come over and make an even bigger deal- asking me where I’m supposed to be sitting. There were at least 8 open seats in the back and being I paid for TWO- I can move close to the seat I originally paid for being there was a detrimentally SICK gentleman in front of me coughing and sneezing and sniffling. So I had to wear 3 masks and I put my blanket over my head. Very comfortable compared to a moved seat.
The plane was data and 1st class was no different than coach on my first leg! The food was ok.

As i was trying to get to my sister's wedding, and repeatedly told the agents this, their behavior was particularly abominable. DELTA, YOU'VE LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER."

There was no entertainment available on this trip ever through there was a screen for each seat."

I free ticket or at minimum an upgrad on any star alliance partner would have been appreciated."

Told us that there was a sick passenger on the plane and asked if my friend and I would volunteer to take a flight out the next day, that star alliance would put us up in a hotel over night, pay for our evening meal and fly us business class in the morning, that all we had to do was wait at our departure gate And someone would call our name before boarding. We accepted, waited patiently, then we were scolded for having our checked bags with us and told multiple different conflicting stories about how we were to board our flight, that volunteers were no longer needed. I checked multiple times with check-in crew to confirm that the scenario was a go. They confirmed each time, so I canceled my accommodations for the evening in Lima. The change up at the gate left for a big mess to clean up. The gate crew kept arguing hat they never told us to cancel our Lima plans. But that was besides the point. The point was, they told us one thing, there was a major breakdown in communication among check in and gate crew as well as between all crew and me and no crew member took ownership or apologized for the flub up. And I'd like to point out, this was not a language barrier issue, all flight crew spoke English fluently. One crew member said all volunteers were obtained and they no longer needed us, another said that the sick person flying (the initial issue) was no longer flying, so no volunteers were needed. crew never owned that. they suggested that it was our issue that we canceled our plans. We were able to fix, but incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience."

On the way back, we sat in the plane for over half an hour with no explanation. We then had to de-plane due to engine issues. The attendants at the counter were not that efficient with rescheduling itineraries, as they were often taking breaks, engaging in chit-chat with other workers, and answering personal phone calls during the process. On the connecting flight back, the ground crew "was not ready" for the plane and advised us to "hang out". This made for very little time in finding my connecting flight home (especially because the assigned gate was not even listed in the airport terminal). Not overly dramatic. Just a lot of small things that culminated in a very frustrating travel day. I will likely be avoiding American Airlines in the future."

Cons: "My experience with Spirit airlines was one for the books (in a very bad way). First off, my flight to the airport where my flight with Spirit was, arrived an hour and twenty minutes before my next flight left. When I got in line to check in, I realized that I was supposed to check in at the kiosk first, before getting in line. Once I got to the kiosk, however, it wouldn't let me check in because it was 12 minutes after the "45 minutes prior to flight" deadline. After this, I went to the front desk where the woman told me I would not be able to board the flight because I was too late for check-in (which is rediculous; I was 12 minutes late for being 45 minutes early, and I was only late because I didn't know I was supposed to check in at the kiosk first. poor communication!). At this point, she sent me over to another counter to get it sorted out. At this counter, the gentlemen told me the next flight to Lima would leave the next day at the same time. He booked me a flight, but then let me know that I would have to purchase another flight out of Peru to show that I wasn't staying. This is preposterous. I've never had to do that before with any other airline. On top of this, he also let me know that my wife and I would only be able to take one bag each instead of the three we had. This was just the cherry on top of an already awful situation. So we would either have to leave a bag there (out of the question) or buy another $600 ticket just to set our bag in a chair next to us (yeah right!). I was very disappointed. You'd think that that's something the airline would tell us ahead of time since it's only on flights to Lima that they do this. Terrible communication. In the end, we were forced to book another flight with a different airline. Luckily, they did refund us for the $500 we spent on that flight. However, we spent another $500 each to book new flights. That's $500 we had to spend because of Spirit being a lousy airline that communicates very poorly and causes it's guests to suffer for it. My wife and I just got married a couple weeks ago. Spending an unnecessary $500 wasn't exactly in our budget as newlyweds. Not only did we have to spend this extra chunk of cash, but we also had to spend an extra night sleeping on the floor at the airport. Overall, it was a downright nasty experience. Aside from just being an awful experience, this is just a horrible way to treat people. We suffered as a direct result of Spirit's poor communication with it's customers. This didn't need to happen. It shouldn't have happened. It could have easily been avoided. We suffered a lot at the hands of Spirit airlines. I have every right to sue them for the damage they caused us (both financially and emotionally). Spirit caused us a great deal of harm and stress, and we deserve to be compensated for it. If we don't see some kind of gesture of goodwill from this Airline, they will not only lose one customer for life, but my friends."
Cons: "The smell was terrible, actually disgusting. me and my wife were on seats 19 A and 19 B. I understand that Spirit is an on-budget airline, but PLEASE don't try to save some money on the plane's hygiene. Anyways we will also reach the company, it is unacceptable that kind of bio-hazard exposure"
Pros: "I liked the ease during boarding. During the flight the captain gave many weather and arrival time updates, which I appreciated."
Cons: "I didnt know my carry on luggage wasn't included in my ticket price. I didn't find out about the $50 luggage charge each way untill I checked in online. Seat selection is also another $7 to $18 each way when I wanted to choose where I sat. No complimentary drink was included. No headrest tv or movies. To be honest I would have gladly paid the extra $150 towards my ticket to go through less hassle during check in, not pay for seat selection, have a meal and a tv during the 5 hr flight. I will not fly with this airline again. I wish I would've been notified of the fees before I purchased my ticket."

Pros: "Spirit is a low cost airline. You save money flying with them as long as you only bring one personal item and print your boarding pass from home."

Cons: "Spirit is literally the worst airline. "You pay for what you get" is so untrue because after you've paid for your carry on and your seat it's the same price as a ticket on another airline hat let's you heck 1-2 free bags, 1 free carry on, and free snacks! Also, Spirit needs to update their planes because it is so uncomfortable and for a tall person my legs constantly hit the chair in front of me and the top "cushion" for ones head dogs into my shoulder blade. So awful."

Pros: "Flight was delayed by 2 hours more than 24 hours before the flight. Over the course of the day the delay grew from two hours to eventually 4 hours. If I ended up taking the flight it was scheduled to arrive at 3am when originally scheduled for 11 pm the previous day. Since spirit is a small airline with fewer planes there is nothing they can do to ameliorate these types of delays. I ended up having to book another flight early in the am the next day to avoid staying up all night waiting for this flight."

Cons: "Our plane Our flight was 3 hours late because they changed the plane due to "tech problems" when we really know it was because the plane it's self was too large for only 51 people so they swapped them out making us all wait. Spirit flight attendants would give you a glass of water even if you were chocking. That's gotta change, at least offer your guests water and a blanket because your plans are freezing cold!"
Cons: "Again, same as first flight. I haven't flown with Spirit in a long time. I forgot the reason I don't is because ticket prices may be low but you pay for literally everything which makes the prices pretty much equal to Delta or any other better airline. It was only comfortable because I paid so much extra for seats. If I buy a ticket, seat number should be included. Kinda common sense on that one. What food? I had to pay for it if I wanted a meal. A flight this long should have included a meal. I had the extra task of making sure I already had a meal with me upon boarding. Ummm......there was no entertainment either."

The least leg room out of any car or airplane I have ever been in. Never flying spirt ever again. Pay $100 more and fly southwest with fee checked and carry on bags."
