Cons: "Connection flight from LAX to Seattle was dropped off of booking completely. When Delta was able to fix the changes in Sydney Australia they put my husbands ticket as a standby instead of putting him in an assigned seat and reported that they couldn't fix it that we would have to wait and get to LAX before the changes could be made again. There was a one and a half hour flight delay from LAX to Seattle. From Sydney Australia to LAX entertainment system didn't work the whole entire flight, they were screaming children the entire flight, and Delta had double booked seats on several different people. There were no apologies and no compensation for any of the incidences."
Cons: "Not only were there delays but they wouldn't allow me to upgrade to first class even though there were seats available, they said "oh with the package you purchased it's not available" Then why was I able to upgrade to first class for the other portion of my flight? The customer service was awful too, transferred 5 times on the phone for 20 mins to not get any help and for them to uncheck me in, I had to check in for my flight again."

Cons: "I received a frozen beer and no napkin. Beer began to overflow, and I sat there for about 10 minutes before another flight attendant walked by. Her attitude was less than desirable upon seeing the situation. Also my luggage never arrived in Singapore. Shanghai didn't have any notification, so I assume it was lost on the Delta end. Overall I am very disappointed and will be seeking a non-delta affiliate for my next trip."

Cons: "My one piece of hard shell luggage has a special, difficult way of latching. As long as nobody opens it, it stays fine for shipping. The problem is your greedy Chinese luggage handling thieves who work for your airlines in Chinese airports. Whenever they can steal from luggage, they always try to steal from passengers, particularly American. I have had multiple experiences with theft from Chinese airports. I have been to China and back to the USA five times. Many times, items have disappeared from my suitcases in Chinese airports. That is why I decided not to move to China to live but instead move to Indonesia. However, if I fly any plane that transfers my luggage in China, I can usually expect to have my luggage robbed. Although this time, nothing was missing from my luggage, that fact that your people had to wrap my suitcase in plastic (because they did not know the secret for relatching it) and resend it a day later, that is proof that one of your airport personnel opened it to see what he could steal and then got caught because he could not close it again. I am really really really tired of you Chinese thieves. I blame all of you because you are all a product of Mao Tse Tung’s godless atheistic evil society. The Chinese have proven to me again and again that they cannot be trusted. A Kong Chinese official even stole my Ohio driver’s license when I transferred through that airport on a previous trip to Jakarta. I understand your problem. If you fire all dishonest luggage department workers, you will not have any workers remaining. That is why you will always rank as a third world backward primitive society even though you buy expensive airplanes that you don’t build and dress your people up like professionals which they aren’t. AS LONG AS Chinese airport luggage people are dishonest and cannot be trusted, your entire airline is a failure. That is not prejudice against Chinese people. I know some honest good ones. They are all Christians, the kind of good people the corrupt Chinese government hates. An atheistic country is an evil country. Do not expect to be respected by honest people. You people clearly do not deserve it. You are still in the stone age when it comes to professionalism which requires total honesty, a quality which your luggage handlers consider to be dispensable. West jet couldn’t give us anywhere near the car seat we have and not one that fits in my car."

While it may sound dramatic, I am certainly not accustomed to a stranger putting their hands on me and it was hugely inappropriate and ruined my flight. This was my first WestJet flight after flying countless times with Air Canada. The whole experience was soured and I will never look at WestJet the same again."

It wasn’t until we got to the airport were we notified. Not that it makes a difference because obviously if we checked bags original departure we would obviously need to bring them back. The whole thing seems sleazy. Otherwise the service was pretty good."

But evidently the crew followed the required procedure and we arrived safely in Calgary. Better to be a bit late than to have an unsafe flight."
Cons: "Didn't fly on the day I was supposed to fly due to delays. I had to figure out for myself that I wasn't going to make my connection and thus I went back home. We agreed to itinerary for the next day that had a 2+ hour wait at la Guardia and yet I still almost missed the N.Y. to Tampa flight due to delays out of toronto. Had to sprint from one terminal to the other. In Toronto we sat on the tarmac for 90 mins, and this was after dealing with security and other issues with checkin before i even got on the plane. For example, it was difficult to explain that i had already paid for my checked bag the day before. As a result I never got a chance to eat the entire day. And then my bag didn't get to Tampa until later that night anyways. Although the individual staff members were all very nice, there were institutional flaws that made two days very frustrating. I have some sort of debilitating delay on more than half my flights over the last few years, and rarely is there ever an explanation or compensation."

If you need to wait for the bathroom the stewardess tells you to wait in the aisle behind row 3... really? So I can't just stand here in the galley and wait... no sir, behind row 3. Best advice - fly Air Canada - these guys do not deserve your money!"

It is THEIR responsibility to make sure the process is safe, since half of the people seem to not care about distancing (or mask wearing). I'm incredibly disappointed and I will be flying Southwest for the time being: I hear they're better at enforcing distancing."

Avianca should be embarrassed to be associated with star alliances."

Switched to a flight to D.C. with a connection to get to LGA. As soon as we sat down on that flight an announcement was made that we wouldn't make our connecting flight. Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc."

Cons: "American Airlines cancelled a flight because of ‘weather’ from Msy to dfw, all other flights from Msy to Dallas operated on time but were sold out. We were re booked flying through San Francisco, missing out on flying on qantas, which is what I had paid for since they are a premium airline. We were booked on virgin America and then United for the international flight. United charged us each for 2 bags totalling $150 each, despite we booked a ticket with qantas which allows 2 bags each. Virgin America honoured our 2 bags, but united refused to. United also has service and aircraft which do not match the levels of qantas which I has specifically sought out. I could not eat some of the food because of the poor quality, and this is something I’ve never done before on an international flight. Additionally their were a lack of amenities on both flights, and no food vouchers despite our travel delay of over 5 hours. This whole ordeal has cost me money, worktime, and created a lot of stress to where I have had to cancel meeting on my arrival in Sydney."

Pros: "We were seated in economy but we had a pretty good flight. The only rough part was the fact that it was 10 hours of sitting, and that was due to the destination not AA's service. As someone who is used to United and Delta for flying, I felt that the service offered kinda rocked."
Cons: "The staff, specifically Stephen, need to focus when serving who he served and where he left off! 5 passengers were not served at all until they came around for trash which we did not have! Then were told there were not any full meals left! If you booked that many tickets the amount of meals should match!"

Cons: "If I had not contacted the airlines myslelf to ensure that the second leg was still intact and i was still supposed to board, they would have canceled this leg of the trip as well. Because i drove to JFK, nyslelf on that day to make it for this leg. Luckily a friend had told me to contact the airline directly about this, otherwise BA would have canceled it since i did not come vie first leg of the trip. No one from Kayak told me to do this."

There was a bad sewage smell on the plane. No in-flight entertainment, not even music. Very unfriendly gate agents; won't even acknowledge your alive as they take your boarding pass. I hate flying American Airlines. Flying is lousy these days. American takes it to a new level."
Cons: "Arrived in Charlotte and tried to get on an earlier flight to Richmond. Was willing to pay a change fee. Even though there were empty seats, I was told that change fee was unavailable for my reservation. I talked to 3 different people on the phone and was given 3 different reasons as to why. 3 different gate people also said there was nothing they could do and there were no supervisors to help. Another person at the counter (who I believe was a supervisor) was able to override and get me on the 2nd (of 3 flights with empty seats)."

Cons: "My flight from Lima to Cusco was overbooked, so they bumped me to the next flight, which was 5 hours later. As a token of apology, they offered me a free lunch from one of the cafes in the Lima airport. I got to the cafe, and I was able to pick between one of two boring sandwiches. I was more in the mood for a different one that was one nuevo sol more, but apparently that was not allowed with my coupon. So essentially, I got to spend eight hours in the airport for a measly sandwich that wasn't very good. And then my return flight from Cusco to Lima was delayed by over an hour, which was also not ideal (although nowhere near as bad as the original situation)."

Pros: "Everything was perfect - the pretzel packs looked like they were from 2007 and stale but I don't care about that. The pilots landing there and back were like we landed on clouds - not a single bump or jolt. The flights left on time and arrived early. The staff at gate and plane were so helpful and happy and knew how to do their jobs and not opposed to doing it with a smile. I have flown over the world and these two flights on united were the best."

Cons: "I was flying home the day after having broken my L5 Vertebrae. I was held up in security because of the patch the doctor put on my back and although the TSA employees were very nice and friendly I almost missed my flight. While boarding, the staff took the opportunity to berate me for being late. While I understood why, it was really unprofessional to speak to a passenger like that without the full context. It didn't help that I was really cranky. Never had a bad experience with united before so I was very disappointed."

When the seat in front of me leans back, I can't even lay my head down on the tray table because the space is too small for me to bend forward. So I'm forced to sit up right on two long flights, the first didn't even have in-flight entertainment. I can't imagine someone bigger than me (5'4" 150 lbs) being able to even reach the floor if something was dropped."

We were in the air for 4.5 hours but spent two whole days traveling. No thank you united and American!"
