Cons: "Flight crew was rude to passengers, and during the overnight flight had a three hour long very loud conversation about their personal lives. Any passenger that approached them was treated poorly. The airplane floor and seats were dirty upon arrival. As with any low budget airline, the seats were uncomfortable and there were no entertainment options. Check in was a nightmare with insane lines and passengers barely getting their bags and check-in figured out before rushing to the gate. Recommend arriving three hours early if you don't want to wonder if you're about to miss your flight through the checkin and bag drop process."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 2 hours for "weather" even though we were going from Las Vegas to Dallas TX and there was no weather problems preventing other airlines from departure... I had a connecting flight which my layover was originally set for Detroit but it was switched to Dallas last minute... the seats were dirty and filled with food and debris from previous passengers, I had to wipe off my seat before I sat down... I think of all the flight attendants on my first flight only one was pleasant and professional as a flight attendant is expected to be... the 2nd flight was a little smoother in the since that the flight attendants were warm and welcoming however After a long day of traveling and flight delays I wanted to rest and I immediately noticed the seats did not recline not even a little, and the tray tables were the size of an iPad mini... it was very hard to get even a little comfortable for the almost 5 hour flight.. it was very uncomfortable.... then there's the baggage fee. $57 for a carry on I would rather pay the extra $57 to fly with a better airline... and to get to the airport and be told that they only accept cards for baggage fee no cash... who doesn't accept cash?? Especially in a place like Vegas. It was unbelievable.. but they conveniently had atm like machines that can turn your cash to card for a $5 fee.... it seems like they advertise the airline to be less expensive than others but in reality they're not!! They nickel and dime you with all of these fees to the point that you eventually end up paying the same price it would cost for a better airline only difference is you pay the same price and still get crappy service... I would never Spirit again. That was my first and last time, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone else."

Cons: "Having to pay for a seat and baggage after buying a ticket. I got an earlier standby Delta flight on Friday so I skipped the first Spirit flight (which ended up being delayed anyway). On my flight back to Denver today, I found out in the terminal that my entire trip was cancelled because I missed my original outgoing flight. I was never notified of this cancellation through email or phone call. I was then asked to pay another $200 for a one way ticket back to Denver. Luckily I was able to fly standby on Delta again instead. Never flying Spirit again. Terrible customer service as well."
Pros: "No entertainment on the flight and we didn't have any food. Flight was a direct flight. Everything went smoothly. Actually arrived a little earlier than scheduled. Didn't have to wait too long for our luggage."
Cons: "Spirit canceled my first flight due to "weather", although every other airline was still flying (including a Southwest flight to the same destination). They sent us to stand in a LONG line with a single woman yelling our options to us. I opted to get rebooked on the same flight tomorrow, stayed in a hotel (paid for out of pocket). The next day, I arrive at the airport and it's canceled again! This time they don't pretend; it was due to lack of crew members. Furious, I booked with Southwest and got home. At the gate, I spent around 35 minutes on hold and then another 25 on the phone to get a partial refund. This was by far the worst experience I have had with any airline ever."

Cons: "There was a passenger that was extremely sick on the flight. She started throwing up on herself, the two passengers that were next to her and all over the floor. The crew had her and the two passengers that were with her, move directly behind us where she continued to vomit the entire 4.5 hours. the amount of vomit and the smell was so bad the crew had to throw fresh coffee grounds all up and down the length of the aisle of the aircraft. I understand these situations happen, but to move this person from her seat to be directly behind us was terrible. Seats were extremely cramped, mini tray table and no seat back pocket."

Cons: "I'm glad my plane tickets were gifted to me because it was not worth the price. I'd found flights around the same price range that include carry-on luggage and sometimes even a checked bag, reclining seats, and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. Spirit bombards you with ads about how every inconvenience supposedly saves us money. It doesn't. It's hidden costs. 99% of people are going to need more than a backpack when they fly across the country. And it doesn't go towards service either. Check-in kiosks didn't open until an hour before the early morning flights, despite the instructions we receive. Deboarding is chaotic. Flight attendants zoom by before I can throw away my trash or ask a question, and they don't help customers with overhead storage."

Cons: "Dear Spirit Airlines, First, $45 for a carry on bag is absurd. It was not made clear when purchasing the ticket that I'd pay almost $100 extra for my round-trip. Second, this is the 2nd time Spirit Airlines has cancelled a flight due to weather when other airlines did not cancel similar flights. I have only flown Spirit twice, so 0 for 2. I will not fly Spirit again. The earliest I could be rebooked for my cancelled Saturday flight was Tuesday which was unacceptable since I had to work Sunday morning. This whole situation meant I had to rent a car with a stranger and drive all night from Detroit to NYC. Spirit refunded half my trip, which is appreciated, but I still incurred an additional $100 in rental car expenses, gas, tolls, etc, even with splitting the cost with the stranger. Not to mention losing an entire night's sleep. I am not a wealthy person. My rent was just increased and I am a teacher and actually really struggling financially this summer. I feel ripped off by Spirit with the bags and with the flight cancellation and only partial refund. This vacation, which was already a stretch financially, turned into a financial burde. Spirit advertises as being a bargain, but you have all these ways of trying to squeeze money out of people. Being cancelled twice almost makes me wonder if somehow it's to Spirit's advantage to do so. You try to offer credits to people instead of refunds so maybe you get away with that and that works out in your favor. Regardless, I won't fly Spirit again and will certainly advise friends and family to avoid the trouble that seems inherent in traveling with you. Third, your website window "loading something awesome" is silly and annoying. If someone actually reads this, thank you for your time. I will be leaving similar reviews on other websites. Cons: "Flight left an hour late, I am 6'5" tall and there was no option to upgrade to a seat with more leg room both of my knees are bruised from the constant rubbing of the seat in front of me on my knee caps. You have to pay for any food water snacks that you'd like. The flight was way oversold as well"
Cons: "Charging $90 for round trip carry-on case that I am putting myself into/out overhead compartment is preposterous. First being one hour late to takeoff then flying like maniacs and arriving only to sit in the field for another half-hr, waiting to be allowed into the port - is not professional. The only function the crew performed, in both directions, was to push their outrageously priced merchandise and credit card. No other service was offered. Chairs are instrument of torture - the knees of the passenger behind me were kicking my back through the fabric, way in and out. Don't fly Spirit Airlines!"

Before I even opened my mouth the desk person, Betty, said "I can see you're in a rush and I don't rush for anyone." I missed my flight. They couldn't reschedule me until the next morning. I went to the Delta desk, they got me on a 5:36 flight. I will never, ever book a flight on spirit again. And I will tell everyone who will listen not to fly them. You are THE WORST AIRLINE and your employees are JERKS. Thanks for nothing."
Cons: "There was no flight from Detroit to NYC, it was cancelled and in the end 7 of us got together and rented a van to drive there. The cabin staff and ground staff were terribly unhelpful and generally seemed to not have the training to deal with a situation like this. Not a single person felt compensated or helped out in any way. Worst flying experience of my life and will never fly Spirit again....neither will anyone else I know."
Pros: "Purchasing my ticket from Kayak was easy and quick! But actually flying Spirit was a horrible experience. There was a delay without explanation regarding my return flight. The planes were old and during take offs and landings seemed to be on the verge of falling apart. The staff was rude and seemed like they were not confident in the planes abilities either. Overall, as a first time Spirit flyer I have no plans of flying with them again. Similarly, now I know why people always fly Delta!"
