Cons: "This was a multi city, round trip starting out of CLT. My connection was way too close, and we missed the connection due to a mechanical problem. The lines to get vouchers were super long, and the hotel was not the best. It was way after midnight when I got to the hotel, and I did not feel safe staying at a Quality Inn. I had to walk to my room outside, and had leave in the morning in the dark as well. I was traveling alone. Please put your passengers in a better hotel, closer to the airport. I did not expect that from American Airlines."

Cons: "Plane was very delayed, Crew seemed very inexperienced, and the plane had a maintenance issue after boarding as well. Overall, this was a very poor experience."

Cons: "By the time the snack service was completed, the plane was already descending and the crew had to pick up the service items before people had a chance to finish."

Pros: "I've been flying Spirit lately to save money, so know that this is my comparison. American Airlines staff were friendly and helpful, the website was easy to use for things such as changing seats and adding bags, and I really appreciate the updates from AA via email and text. I appreciate the snack."

Pros: "Easy check in, helpful staff. Great seats and lovely in-flight amenities. Most of the food was really good and quite a bit was offered during the flight. Arrived early and staff was really helpful in getting through customs."

Cons: "I hated that there were sudden updates of delays just moments before we were supposed to board, then delayed for a day, then cancelled. I was fortunate to be re-routed to San Francisco (I am on the way) now, through United airlines. All in all, it was a stressful inconvenience."

Cons: "It’s a commuter. It’s tiny. In flight left trash with us till plane was about to land. Pilots seemed inexperienced. Landing was hard, braking was hard approach was awkward and it was a beautiful day with no wind. Pilot shortage isn’t helping the regionals."

Pros: "The Boeing 787 is a much nicer plane than the Airbus we flew on from Chicago to Helsinki. The seating on that plane was horrible. You have to recline your seat or you are on the back of the seat in front of you!"

Cons: "Of the two bathrooms in my area, one was out of order. The other ran out of toilet paper. The plane seemed old and tired, and the movies didn't work. I was surprised that there were no personal entertainment screens. The BA flight legs on my trip were quite superior in all ways."

Cons: "The seats were terrible. I don't know what it was about them, but I've never had a more uncomfortable flight. My husband had leg cramps for much of the flight and couldn't get comfortable. The rest of the flight was fine, but the uncomfortable seats were a huge minus. We'll probably try to avoid 787s from now on. The window-darkening system was annoying. They darkened the windows when it was dark outside and they darkened the cabin, so we couldn't look out the window. It was dark outside--why the need to darken the windows?? My husband requests window seats so he can look out the window."

Cons: "the boarding process is more chaotic than necessary. groups 5-9 board at the same location and people in higher groups stand near the front so you can't tell if you should wait behind them or step around. there was only a single power plug (in economy plus) for 2 seats and it was a cigarette lighter style."

Pros: "Boarded online. Upgraded to a Comfort seat in and exit row. So wasn't cramped but the entertainment/movie icon happened to be missing from my monitor only. So 5 and a 1/2 flight with nothing to watch. The food tray was also pretty filthy. Otherwise a solid trip. Nice, accomadating crew and with a female pilot! Loved that!"

FAA should investigate with the decreased aisle width and distance between the seats, can the evacuation be completed within required time, in an actual emergency. American Airlines is endangering the lives of passengers. And the cramped conditions are contributing to the hostile actions of some passengers. What does it take to do what is right?"
