Boarding was a fiasco: disorderly lines just to pile into a bus and shuttle to plane. Comfort!? Ha. I'm 5'8" short and my knees were digging into the seats in front of me. The new seats are hard as a rock and don't recline. Cramped is an understatement. The tray table is literally the same size as the tray itself. Did TAP build a mock up of this before production?!? You get to hold your drink and put your silverware in your lap while you eat. Food was too hot to open foil, and once opened was mediocre at best. Entertainment?!? Literally nonexistent. Well actually in the fancy seats beyond economy there is a little slot to attach a phone or tablet on the back of the seat. So your entertainment is whatever you brought. I guess the touchscreen/on demand entertainment I remember from the early 2000's is too high tech for TAP."

Pros: "I had a flight from Madrid --> Lisbon airport with a final connection from Lisbon --> NYC JFK and we were delayed in Madrid therefore arriving at boarding time of our other flight in Lisbon. The crew was so professional and prepared that when we landed in Lisbon there was a bus that brought about 25 of us who were connecting with final destination to JFK to the closest door to go through passport control and board onto our flight to JFK that they held for a good 30-45 minutes until all of us made our connection. Very professional and organized. Much appreciated that I didn't miss my final connection! Love flying TAP and will continue to do so!"

Cons: "I found it very frustrating that we were told at the ticket counter the boarding would begin at 11:15am for a 12:45pm flight time. I arrived at the airport over two hrs in advance and then had to run a significant distance through the airport and sweat and be unnecessarily anxious waiting on the customs line only to arrive at the gate at 11:20am, to have my bags checked for a second time and then be unable to get any food or coffee before a flight that did not begin boarding for another 40 minutes. I did and still do not see the need for that additional luggage/security check and then being held at the gate for almost an extra hour for seemingly no reason at all."

Cons: "At the check in, despite that I have a swiss passport, 5)3 hostess looked solely at my face and assumed I need avisa and asked me three times for my visa. On the flight, blankets are removed 20-30 minutes before landing during which I was freezing. Upon arrival, my new bag i hadnt used as yet was broken and TAP pays nothing and does no kind of exchange for broken bags. Basically- they dont care! During my return flight, despite being checked in adn being at the airport wel ahead of time, the airport clerks gyided me to the wrong desk and I had to wait longer than needed. The check in for baggages had closed by 1 min. They were allowing me to take the flight only if I threw out all my liquids or else were off loading me. They proposed no other solution and wanted to make me pay 450 dollara to put me on the flight the next day. I had an interview the following day and needed to return. I ended buying a new full fare ticket with British airways and got excellent service. I am yet to complain to TAP."

Finally the 3rd customer service women tried to get me home sooner but was unable to!! Have flown for years on air Canada without issues but this last trip was such an inconvenience I will not being flying with them agin!! They also did not cover my hotel or the taxi costs associated with me having my flight canceled, not even a discount!!!!!"

When it came to our experience it's easy to see that it's systemic and come from the top down in that company. The lack of customer service training is apparent. It was rampant and the overall feeling was just plain rudeness exuding from every team member. I'll never fly Air Canada again."

The customer service agent told me it would be $1000 to change and another agent told me it was free same day flight change with business class tickets. I was told the flight was wide open for seats and when I arrived at the airport it was over sold by 8 people. I had to waste $3000 in business class tickets and book on West Jet to return home. Airline is a joke and I would never fly with them again."

Unprofessional, lack of training, lack of planning (why wasn't another plane sent). One agent was going through the line giving out a phone number to call? Why weren't they trained? I called and thankful I was up at the desk so I could tell the agent what to do from the lady on the phone! Lost a day on our already short Christmas visit with family. Would love a refund!"

Cons: "My first flight was late then cancelled, then replaced by another. That one was late too and made me miss my connecting flight. I had to spend the night stuck in the Toronto airport with nowhere to safely sleep and my late arrival meant the entire first day of my long planned vacation was ruined. I was supposed to get to my destination around 10 in the morning, instead I arrived around one in the morning the next day. All I got from Air Canada for this trouble was a $10 meal voucher for airport restaurants that cost $25 and were closed during my stay."

A better process needs to be put in place to ensure those whom have connections are able to meet them."

His response, "most people on here have connecting flights." We were unable to board the next flight despite running to get there with time to board, as "our suitcases would not make it." I feel the staff made no effort. At least 12 others also missed this connection and the very small plane could easily have been delayed to load the suitcases."

Everything she said in French was unintelligible- very offensive (and disturbing) for Francophone passengers such as myself. And for a Canadian carrier- This shows no respect for our pluralism. When we book online and try to pick priority seating, then find out that the plane is so small that the 9th row means 9 out of 12 or something, this feels like a con. Especially when we pay extra. Stop making people pay for seats that don't get them any priority boarding (Zone 3!) and offer no real advantage."

Thank goodness those from United were able to provide me with a phone number to call. The phone attendant was not a native English speaker and made it incredibly difficult to file a claim. I'm still waiting for my bag."

This wasn't an infant had to be 4-5 years old and there was no parenting at all. The kid was old enough to be talked to. If you're kids can't handle flying, you don't get to fly."

If I could change anything about my flight, I would change the age of children who need to purchase seats to four and up as most children under 4 want to sit with their mothers, so why should I pay for a seat they will not be using?"

I ended up flying to Washington DC on a different airline. They did nothing to try to help. I want a refund for this flight. There is no reason the airline could have helped out in some way. I have emergency room bills and death notices. Thanks for your help."

That was a lie bc when we checked in at the gate to get our seats the lady said no one was sitting next to each other! That lady was rude and short tempered! Awful experience will never fly again!!"

Cons: "It is uncomfortable, you can´t select a decent seat and there´s no entertainment, you hae to pay for it. There's suppose to be an option with mobile devices but when you make the ticket purchase it only says that entertainment is included in longflights and it is not. I paid for the entertrainment system but you have only some options and the movies start according to their own schedule so you can't really pick what you want to watch. And the directv remotes are not set in a good place, the are in the arm rest, so everytime the person next to you moves the wrong way they change your channel or turn the volume down or something else. Nothing offered for the inconvenience. Everyone including the pilot was just as irritated as the passengers. I usually prefer United when flying coast to coast but...worst experience yet."

This was two days after my previous flight with United which had us sitting on the tarmac for 2 hours waiting for updates about whether or not we could take off."
