Cons: "From Japan to other places they're always organised, but boarding in London was a little chaotic which is a common problem for ANA flights in other countries *to* Japan - they hadn't set up signs properly or made clear announcements for families with children, First Class, Business class boarding etc. The First Class/Diamond status queue (not for me!) was actually set up in front of a supporting pillar, basic organisational things like that. On balance though, still a top-class airline."

Cons: "Extreme delays on my return flight which made me miss my connection and get rebooked on another flight for the next day. We were delayed on departure, then on the tarmac, then in the air, and finally when getting off the plane. I am glad that I was rebooked and was given a hotel to stay at, but I did not like the way I was treated by Air Canada staff at customs. I passed through customs only to be sent back into Canada after having crossed through security because the staff decided to close. We were told by other staff members that it was up to them to decide when they were done and to talk them. I ran through the whole airport with about 7 other people to make it. Why make us cross through security only to send us back? There was no one there to guide us on what to do. I had to go through the whole thing again the following day only to have my face cream taken away (it is technically cream, not a liquid) and then be detained. None of this happened AT ALL the day before. I'd give more details but it was a complete mess."

I called and thankful I was up at the desk so I could tell the agent what to do from the lady on the phone! Lost a day on our already short Christmas visit with family. Would love a refund!"

Cons: "I literally walked for 40 minutes across YYJ to make this connection. Security was a breeze, the airport was empty late at night, it was all smooth sailing. This is not a whine about hardship - I was just continuously astonished that I'm still walking! It was amazing! The slightest delay on your incoming flight and you're sunk with that much travel time in between... In this day and age...basically making a US to CA domestic connection is better done through another airport. -Cheers!"

They had the fasten seat belts light on the entire trip because they said the turbulence was bad. I have been on alot of flights and let me tell you that the turbulence was not bad at all. After three hours prople decided enough was enough and started going to the restroom. The crew would get all bent out of shape and get on the PA yo please stay in your seats and not use the restrooms at this time. Really!! Well that didnt happen. The only thing they give you is one free drink. No penuts, cookies or pretzels. If you want food you have to pay for it. I sat by the window and my window was all greasy. I couldent really see out of it. I did use the rest room and it was pretty clean."

We ordered and paid extra for food snacks, but some of the items were not available even they were displayed in the food menu/catalog. We asked for a blanket for my daughter who was sleeping but Air Canada didn't have any blanket !! After we boarded, we realized that we didn't have space to put any hand baggages ! We are a family of 5 and we didn't have space to put even one hand baggage! Unacceptable!"

Cons: "My first flight was late then cancelled, then replaced by another. That one was late too and made me miss my connecting flight. I had to spend the night stuck in the Toronto airport with nowhere to safely sleep and my late arrival meant the entire first day of my long planned vacation was ruined. I was supposed to get to my destination around 10 in the morning, instead I arrived around one in the morning the next day. All I got from Air Canada for this trouble was a $10 meal voucher for airport restaurants that cost $25 and were closed during my stay."

Cons: "The fact that 10 minutes before we were suppose to originally board the staff at DTW was trying to get people to give up seats because they oversold the flight which should have taken care of before that. It also doesn't help that the flight was late arriving and unboarding so that it could be reboard by new customers and updates were unhelpful and useless when attached to the plea for someone to give up their seats. 0 out of 5 stars...would NOT recommend."

Cons: "I got bumped. Even though, I made my flight on time AND had chosen my seat over a month ago, air Canada decided to bump me from my international flight. I was able to get a seat but not the seat I would have chosen (I'm six foot, I can't sit by the window). Since it was so crowded, I couldn't stretch my legs or use the loo. Finally I PAID for the seat I was bumped from; no one can tell me when I'll get reimbursed."

For economy tickets, the level of comfort was adequate, but the seats didn't return to upright easily and the entertainment screen took a whole load of taps before it responded sometimes. A reasonable level of service for the price, and the plane was on time."

Cons: "I was delighted to spend the extra money to have the Lufthansa experience, riding on an airline considered in the top ten airlines out of 100, as opposed to United's ranking of 68, down from 60 the year before. I was extremely surprised to find that I, indeed, was scheduled for United. The double trip code was VERY inconvenient, found myself constantly having to call the other airline to book the seat, find the gate, find out about luggage limitations, etc. Not intuitive in any manner. Please don't confuse customers with your 7 point tiny type saying we're just kidding, you'll really be on an airline of our choice when the day comes!!! but you'll pay the bigger bucks!!! UGH."

Cons: "It wasn't a Lufthansa flight. Both our connecting and international flights were United. We specifically bought the ticket because we have had excellent exeriences on Lufthansa. We were dissapointed to find out we were actually flying United. Entertainment system was down so there were no movies the entire way and we were seated in an exit row where the seats did not recline. Extra leg space was nice but I would have declined the seat if I had know the chair wouln't recline."

Cons: "The flight left 15 late due to the bags needing to be moved from below up to the cabin. With only a 45 minutes connecting time, this made us nervous. We did ultimately end up making the connection because they arrived/departed out of the same terminal. I'm not sure we would have made it otherwise. The crew was a bit loud and kept bumping people on the aisle as he made his way down with the cart. The seats were hard as a rock."
