Great direct flight to Seattle. Pack snacks or plan to buy food for the six-hour flight. They do offer drinks and cookies. Very easy and no delays with the flight.
They cancelled the flight due to mechanical
Crew people are so nice. I can say Pilots are very well trained-smooth landing!
Overbooked my flight. Wouldn’t give my three year old son and I a seat even though we paid and I checked in immediately with the email.

Passengers not wearing masks and flight attendants didn’t enforce their rule. Also both legs of my flight were delayed and I ended up landing at my destination an hour late at almost 1am.

Cons: "A woman thought she had my seat. She said "I am 29A" and so I quickly got the steward so we could resolve the complication. It turned out she read 29A on her itinerary only it was for an earlier leg of the trip. Instead of understanding her accidental oversight, the steward said to us both, "you have 29C and you 29A whats the problem?" I understand he was busy, only 2 passengers booked for the same seat would cause a problem on a full flight. He should have understood her accidental self-seat assignment change because she read the seat from the earlier flight. She and I weren't trying to have issues, we just wanted to sort out what we thought was an overlap in seat assignments."
Pros: "The flight attendant kept running cart into me and then was very rude. I am 8 months pregnant but was told I was only allowed one cup of water to drink. Very unfriendly"

Pros: "I'd give any flight a good rating if everything went smoothly, ran promptly, and the staff was nice. This flight satisfied those requirements. The plane seemed slightly roomier than other smaller planes I've been on and that was nice. There wasn't any food or entertainment on this flight, and no N/A option (or maybe there was food and I slept through it? Totally possible)."
Cons: "The flight attendant said my bag was too large for the overhead bin, and would need to be checked. Her demeanor was rude, and unprofessional. She said "well, if you can close this bin, then go right ahead". I closed it very easily. Her behavior made me much less likely to fly Alaska Airlines again."

Cons: "The plane was small and the guest in the seat next to me occupied his seat and made himself comfortable enough to extend himself into my space as well. I paid for my seat and didn't expect to have to share it with anyone else. It made the three hour flight a bit uncomfortable."

Cons: "What I didn't like was how they boarded the plain. I understand the logic of boarding back to front but not enough organization at that gate. Too many people bunched up because the rows were not called appropriately. May I suggest that after the first class, children and assisted folks get in the plain that they call passengers by sections, for example: the last 10 rows first, then the next 10 and so on. so everyone is not just blocking the front part of the gate. So it will be more orderly and quickly to board. Not enough was said over the loud speaker about how people should be boarding, as most other airlines board front to back first and that's my 2 cents. thank you."

Pros: "The flight itself was about as average as any other flight. At least all our luggage made it from the incoming flight from Key West to join us in Charlotte. That was our final destination but most of the passengers were making additional connections."
Cons: "The boarding went like the plane was ready to leave on time, except it didn't. There was a delay because the flight crew came from another arriving flight, so they had to go through the full pre-flight checklist. Then there was a "minor maintenance issue" that couldn't be fixed right away because it was "shift change" for the maintenance crews. Eventually they arrived and fixed whatever, while everyone was getting texts and alerts that kept delaying the departure by 15-minute intervals. Over an hour (while sitting in a warm plane) after the original scheduled departure, we left the gate, sat on the taxiway a while, then took off. Cabin crew only had cookies and drinks, no other snacks or food. All anyone got was an apology for the extended delay."

Cons: "Old planes! Very old planes! No charging ports on board. No entertainment! Seats broken. for the largest carrier in the world as they say. Horrible! Three and a half hour delay missed my connection. Traveled for 16 hours on a flight that should have been 7 hours. HORRIBLE American Airlines."

Cons: "AA is now trying to save money (presumably) by doing like Delta: forcing half of us to connect in Charlotte. Unfortunately, the Charlotte airport is not ready to accommodate so many people. The airport looks like it is being renovated, which is fine, but there is no tape/cones to mark off the renovated areas from the walkways. You literally walk through dirt and construction sites. I didn't even think that was legal in the US?! Anyway, maybe it will be worth it once the renovations are complete, especially if AA is going to use it as a hub."
Cons: "We sat in Charlotte on the runway and had to run to our connection. The airport seems too small for the amount of traffic. We usually try to avoid Charlotte, but it was the only way to use frequent flyer miles"

Cons: "After flying 24 hours one of four bags got put on a later flight. The line at baggage service was so long that by the time I waited for the bag it arrived on another flight 2 hours of wait! Unbelievable! Disappointing. And by the way if a passenger is assigned to a seat that doesn’t recline it should be heavily discounted. Heavily as in half price of a normal seat. It really is sad that airline industry is not more service focused and more efficient."

Cons: "Luggage did not make the transfer on time (Chicago-Charlotte after Tokyo), although they had about 45 minutes to load it. Do not buy an international ticket with less than 1.5 hours transfer time. (It took 45 minutes to get through customs/immigration and retrieve luggage for transfer."

Each time I departed I had to pay to come back to Florence South Carolina."

Cons: "American Airlines and the entire Terminal 5 in Rome did a horrible job of communicating with all outgoing flights on Monday the 18th when their computer systems went down. They kept us outside the terminal for two hours without restrooms or any explanation, finally began sending groups inside only to wait more hours past our flight time. Finally made it to delayed boarding several hours later, only to have them inform us at the bottom of the tube to go to plane that the flight was cancelled!!! Just said pick up your bags on Carousel 10 and that was it. Got our bags and booked a hotel to go to for the night, and they came out and said they were going to bus us to a hotel for the night. The hotel I booked was un-refundable and when I called American about our flight the next day that got messed up too and ended up with an extra five hour layover between flights. When we went to board from Charlotte to Nashville, the boarding agent announced we didn't have any pilots!!! So with a full flight, had to wait for them to find us some pilots. Will not fly American Airlines again if I can help it! Also the tv/entertainment units on the flight didn't work properly."

Cons: "We had about seven wheelchair passengers booked on this flight and no one had a clue how to manage it. two ended up being carted off to other gates and the rest boarded slowly, resulting in a 40 minute delay departing. When we got to Charlotte there were planes backed up, another 20 minutes to get to a gate. My 90 minute leisurely stroll to my next flight morphed into a race across three concourses. Charlotte is a nightmare under the best conditions, this just sucked."

Cons: "First off, I got bumped from my flight in New Bern, the only restaurant took cash only, the airline rep put me in a taxi to Greenville, NC, probably 40 minutes or so, because he could not find me a guaranteed flight out of Charlotte if I took a later flight from New Bern. I had over a 3 hour wait in Greenville. In New Bern, they did an additional security check on my shoes, these were flip flops, really? In Greenville, they did an additional check on my carryon bag and threw my toothpaste away, it was over 3 ounces, it had passed other points, no restaurants in Greenville, NC airport, only vending machines and 2 were broken. .Seating was pretty tight too! 3 hr for next flight"

Cons: "I had a man sit next to me who was in the wrong seat but didn't move. He told the girl to keep his seat and he would stay next to me. He was so big he was in my space and had didn't make any effort to try not to spill over in my area. I had to put a magazine next to my thigh because his body was so hot it was damp! I hated the entire trip. I was cramped up and extremely uncomfortable. This is simply unacceptable to have this happen because huge people can't fit in one seat. I want these obese people to be required to purchase 2 seats because they take mine."

Disgusted is the only word I can use to describe my experience. Save the hassle, use southwest even if it costs more."
