Egypt's airports are open to travel including for tourism. Some airlines are imposing special requirements, such as the wearing of face masks.
All travelers (including those who hold Egyptian nationality) arriving from overseas, to any part of Egypt must present a negative PCR test certificate issued within the preceding 72 hours prior to flight departure to Egypt. However, travelers arriving from Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, France (Paris only), Germany (Frankfurt only), Guyana, Italy(Rome only) Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, South Korea, Suriname, Thailand, US, UK(London Heathrow only), Uruguay or Venezuela will be allowed to provide the test certificate issued within 96 hours prior to flight departure. Children under the age of 6, of all nationalities, are exempt from providing negative PCR test certificates. No other exemptions have been confirmed.
All travelers arriving to Egypt will have their temperature checked, must completed a public health card with personal details, and will need to provide confirmation of valid health insurance policy to airport authorities.
Tourists flying directly into the airports in the coastal governorates of the Red Sea (Hurghada and Marsa Allam), South Sinai (Sharm El-Sheikh) and Marsa Matrouh that are unable to present acceptable evidence of a negative PCR test will need to undergo testing on arrival for a fee of USD 30 and required to self-isolate in a hotel while awaiting the test result. If the result is positive, travelers are subject to a 14-day quarantine in a separate room allocated for quarantine within the hotel. If symptoms persist, they will be transferred to a public hospital or private hospital of choice, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health.

Cons: "Well if my future father in law was on the flight it would have been wonderful, but he passed away July 7th, and I did get refunded, and we are mourning his loss and keep getting notifications about the flight and emails which makes it very difficult mentally. So it would be nice if Delta would get their process of refunds especially when it's a death to maybe not get notified. I was the one that purchased the tickets for him in April."

Didn't say a word Else to me until it was time to land and my daughter had just fell asleep. She told me. I had to take her out of the baby carrier. My daughter needed a diaper change and there were no places to change her. I tried to change her by the door really fast. The stuardis said no go change in a bathroom I asked which one had a changing station they said none and to just change in my lap. Plus my car seat was broke when I got it back."

My carry-on bag was taken in London, as there was not enough room on the fight to Munich, but then when I finally got to Cairo, one day after I was supposed to arrive, both bags were lost and I stayed one week without anything. I missed an entire day of my vacation because of the cancellation and confusion in Rome. I am a Gold Star Alliance member and this was the WORST flight in I have ever taken in my LIFE!"

Then as we pulled away from the gate, there was a medical emergency aboard and we had to taxi back to the gate for the ill passenger. After this was over, the plane needed deicing again, so that was yet another wait. Overall, we were sitting on the plane for an hour without being allowed to use the restroom because the pilot kept the seatbelt light on and we weren't allowed to get up."

Eventually the pilot who flew us to Denver stepped in and got me to my connecting flight gate, bless his heart. At OHare no wheelchairs for anyone who had requested one. Complete chaos. I finally had to walk to my connecting flight from terminal C to terminal B. Very exhausting for someone with cancer who is exhausted most of the time. Your wheelchair service is completely ineffective, disappointing and a cruel joke."
