Cons: "Did not know that we did not fly with British Airlines (as I had printed out before my first flight to Germany) was replaced with American Airlines. I lost valuable time at the airport and almost missed the flight. Chaotic and unexpected baggage problems before boarding to Dallas: the board luggage, same as we had on the way over, was not accepted and had to be checked in. Problem since we had to move laptop, etc. before the actual boarding. Attendants not as professional as they should be. Also seats were changed -- I was not able to sit with my daughter who regularly gets travel sickness. Overall not a good experience. But the worst: changing airlines and not being informed!!!!"

Cons: "no entertainment at every seat - was traveling with my little kids and this was the first time they could not play games or watch movies at the screen on the seat before them - there were couple screens for the whole plane but they showed La La Land two times and other shows my kids were not interested in; also, when we boarded, my kids were not assigned to sit right next to me (4 and 7 years old) so I had to ask 2 people to switch seats so that my kids could be next to me"

Pros: "I am handicapped so I was concerned about my walker and ability to use stairs etc. The crew on the plant and boarding area couldn’t have been more helpful. I was impressed by the comfortable seats and friendly stewardesses. After the plane landed the first officer went to get my walker so I didn’t have to wait."

Cons: "A passenger caused a delay in security, and as I'm rushing for the gate, the agent closed the door and told me I couldn't board. She then marked me as a no-show, while she was standing right next front of her. I had to spend the next 4 hrs on the phone, trying to get my tickets sorted out. Then, upon arriving at Heathrow,... No luggage. They told me it was still in Chicago. Upon finally receiving my bags, I find them full of sawdust and sand, and several items damaged. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again, and I will highly recommend to my friends and family to avoid them like them plague. Horrible service! Nothing but a run-around and not once did the agents apologise, even after admitting that my problems on this journey were due to a mistake made by one of their agents."

Two flight attendants were obese, the rest were just overweight, all but one unkempt, sloppy, washed out. Worst looking crew I've ever seen. I think they belong in another field. No inflight film after many attempts to re-boot system. What has happened to American Airlines standards, they used to be so high?"

Cons: "i ask the crew for help to locate my luggage because we didnt pick it up after we landed in chicago for custom check! we were told in thailand that our bag will be going to wichita and we did not need to pick it up in chicago, when i try to do the self check in their machine didnt work! so i had to wait in line, and then wheni ask the crew member for help to locate my luggage she said she is too busy!!!!!"

Furthermore, I had purchased the ticket with the intent of flying with British Airways and found myself in a charter from American Airlines. I wish to be compensated for this mistake. Thank you"

Cons: "I don't usually do reviews, but this experience has prompted me too. I usually pick American over other airlines even if the price is slightly higher but after this last fiasco I doubt I will fly with them again. From the start of the trip there was a delay. I was told that I would have to stay in a hotel in Charlotte because I would miss my connecting flight. I agreed and waited for my flight that was nearly 2 hours late. I arrived in Charlotte and retrieved my bag as instructed and went to the counter. The lady then stated that it was probably best if I tried to get on the last remaining flight even though it showed sold out because "there have been delays all day and plenty of people have been missing their connecting flights". So I rechecked my bag and headed to the game. This flight was delayed, as it was the last for the night, so that all the connecting flights could be made. Okay, that is fair enough....even though I didn't get to board and now I no longer had my bag as this is now on the plane. 30 minutes after the plane left I finally get my voucher for motel along with a $12 voucher for food that can only be used in the terminal restaurants......which are now closed for the night. After 30 minutes of trying to contact the hotel for shuttle information I was advised that they were no longer taking airline vouchers. I , again, approached the ticket counter and I was advised that I "would just have to wait because there are no rooms in the system at this time." And none of this instruction seemed professional or accommodating. After another hour I was approached that now there are no other options in their system for accommodations and I would have to pursue options on my own. So......the higher priced one way ticket just became $100 more at no fault of my own."

Cons: "Boarded us onto a plane with a broken engine, deboarded the plane and delayed the flight 4 hours. Then we sat on the tarmac for an hour after landing because they didn't inform the airport that we were in a new, larger plane."

Cons: "Extra rules about headphones are annoying and no beverage options. Horrible terminal that does not let you get a drink before boarding and gate agent did not update boarding when it was late, so no one could venture off and get a drink of water before flight."

Pros: "Took a red eye, so slept most of the way. Crew was super chill and let me sleep the whole way. Minor turbulence, but the captain made announcements and made sure everyone felt at ease. Quick to unload passengers once we arrived at the gate. Didn't use the in-flight entertainment but there was a cool and updated map feature that was much better and more high-tech than previous AC flights I have taken. Also enjoyed how the cabin door separated economy from business class, so we didn't have to wait for the entire front of the plane to unload from the same door."

Pros: "I hadn’t been on a plane in almost 10 years. People were very helpful at the airports. The plane ride was comfortable. The crew was nice both ways. I would. The price was excellent!"

Pros: "I usually have a smooth experience with Air Canada. Haven't had any problems on board. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with my baggage."
Cons: "The check-in person said my baggage (oversized, and a keyboard) would make it through to my final destination even though I had another flight on a separate reservation. I specifically asked because I wanted to know if I needed to pick it up when I landed after the first leg in Toronto. He said I'd only have to go through customs and my bag will make it all the way home to Vancouver. Well, I felt weird about it and when I got off in Toronto I noticed that my baggage receipt said Toronto on it (not Vancouver). I decided to forego the connections gate because I was unsure. Lucky that I did because lo and behold, my keyboard bag was waiting for me at baggage claim. Had I trusted the check-in guy, I would've possibly lost over $1000 worth of equipment. That's not something that can easily be forgiven."

Pros: "I watched incendies and lion and both were great films so I commend your film options. The crew were all pleasant and the flight itself was good."
Cons: "The chairs have no low back support. I rolled up my sweater and put it behind my low back because the chair is so poorly designed. It seems to encourage a slouched position. maybe you have it that was to encourage people to upgrade their tickets. I hope that's not the case as that would be cruel."

Pros: "They provided a meal, a snack, and plenty of beverages. The crew was pleasant, attentive, and helpful."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed three hours. My flight and one other were the last to leave that night. There were no TVs on this flight. The only way to watch movies was on a smart phone or electronic device through their app. My poor old fashioned dad, didn't bring his phone so he would have just sat there for seven and a half hours if I didn't let him borrow mine. AirCanada's alternative is to rent an iPad from them, just another way for airline companies to get money out of us. The movie choices on their app were bad and older. International flights usually have new movies to so it is less likely passengers have seen them already."

Pros: "The ciabatta buns served with the regular meals, looked lovely, as did the regular meat meals. Unfortunately, I ordered the Hindu Vegetarian meal."
Cons: "Usually the Hindu Vegetarian meals are quite nice, but these ones were not. I have eaten a lot of Indian and Middle Eastern food, and I could not identify what this was supposed to be. The basmati rice had the consistency of oatmeal. The first meal was tasteless and the second meal had too much hot spice, but still no flavour. The bread they gave with the meal was tiny and tasteless compared to the lovely ciabatta rolls served with the regular meals."

Cons: "We left Rome over an hour late due to a computer problem that had to be reset. The pods in business class were the old style and not very comfortable for sleeping."

Cons: "The plane was sitting at the gate for about an hour before we boarded (for a flight delayed by over an hour). Yet Air Canada didn't bother to go through the cabin and pick up garbage left in seat back pockets. The water in the washroom didn't work."

Pros: "I didn't go. They wouldn't allow me to make a change in my ticket so I flew a different airline. I will never fly with them again."

Cons: "Entertainment options very poor considering it is a 5 hr flight. Hadn't realized that they actually made planes without a seat back screen these days! Too many people allowed to bring too much hand luggage on board. Significantly delayed the process of getting people seated. Also, anxiety levels of passengers increases when they start to realize they will have nowhere to put their luggage. Not the perfect start to any flight."

Cons: "Frankly my butt was killing me 40 minutes into the flight due to the seat ... if the flight had been much longer I would have lost it"

Cons: "Delayed over an hour, making it almost impossible to catch our connecting flight in Montreal. Thankfully, the flight out of Montreal was delayed and we were able to make the flight by the very last minute."

Pros: "Great Pilots The pilots were great! The weather was not optimal, but they did a great job of making us as comfortable as possible."
Cons: "Better Quality Food Needed The salted plate served was sub-standard. Also, it was full of salt and poses health risk for many people. In the past, better food was served including a pot pie. Also, the staff should be more aware of the wines to be served. And there is not enough attention paid to service in the executive cabin as the attendant runs back and forth between both cabins."

Pros: "The smoothness with which the pilot flew the plane was remarkable. I felt very safe."
Cons: "1) For a four hour flight it's sad that we were not even offered a snack we didn't have to purchase. After being delayed for more than 2 hours many of the passengers were hungry by the time we boarded. 2) The flight attendant passed my row without offering me a drink and when I asked I was given room temperature apple juice and not given any ice."

The seats on the seemingly very old 767 were painfully uncomfortable. The 320 had better seating. And what entertainment?????"

Cons: "The fact that because I was late for my flight, my reservation was cancelled. I was not given the opportunity to change my flight at all, I just lost out on the return portion of my travel. I would have been willing to pay a fee to change my return, but not given the opportunity. Had I booked directly with the airline, they would have had no problem making a change. Buyer beware!!! If you don't book directly with an airline, you may suffer the same fate as me! This was an almost $1,300 dollar learning experience. Do not use third party online booking agents! You do not have the same protections as dealing with the airlines directly."

Pros: "The fact that I was rebooked immediately to my new flight AC-DC 705 at 8:50 am by two wonderful ladies at La guardia airport who comforted then boarded me unto a flight due to the fact that I missed my original flight. This occured due to the Airport being Unorganized! As I had checked in well before 3 hours and was on time for my original flight at 8:30 am."
Cons: "I was rebooked so my new flight AC 705 was directed straight to Toronto. Only thing I disliked was that gentleman who was left at the gate for my original flight at 8:30am. He was rude!!!!"

Pros: "The flight crew was amazing. I have been flying internationally since I was 2 and this was one of the best crews I have had since TWA closed up. They were policy, considerate and very friendly. After 2 weeks abroad I was dreading spending 8 hours on a flight home but as soon as we boarded I knew we had a great crew which we all know can make or break a flight. Once beverage service started they gave us both a huge glass of ice and can of soda which we were very grateful for after a long night and early morning. The flight attendants stop by frequently to see if we needed anything, I would definitely fly Air Canada again."
Cons: "Cabin space was small and uncomfortable. The individuals in front and behind us were very inconsiderate which of course Air Canada can't control. Food was hot but not necessarily tasty."
