Pros: "We boarded on time and we departed on time. We got into Chicago 30 minutes early. We recently acquired a AA credit card and we got 2 checked bags free and priority boarding (Group 5). In today's world your need priority boarding of some sort on AA or you risk not being able to store you bags in the overhead and may have to get it checked free to your final destination. Also, one of our checked bags had a painting in it that we purchased and the bag and painting arrived unharmed. Good job by AA baggage handlers."

Cons: "Staff at the check-in counter made fun of my surname. Bad start but not noteworthy unless combined with the rest of the experience. The flight was delayed causing me to miss another AA connection by minutes. Waited in line to be told I wouldn't get on a flight til the following day, they couldn't help with accommodation and I wouldn't receive my luggage until the following day. In short, AA left me stranded in a strange city at midnight with no accommodation and no luggage. It was 18 degrees and I was in t-shirt and shorts. What a memory."

Cons: "I found out at the airport the day we were leaving for Spain that my daughter's passport had to be valid for 3 Months after we returned home from our trip. When booking a flight out of the country it would be nice if Air .com could of mention that to me. We were trying to get to a cruise we had already paid for that was going out of Spain. They would not work with me at all and cx my whole booking. When I tried to talk to them on the phone the man could not speak very good English and was not making any since at all. I let him talk to the British Airlines counter manager and the manager tried to explain that he would have to rebook us that he could not. Air.com was horrible and never helped us out at all. They should not be in business . I paid them of course months ago and I was just out the 1400.00 dollars. British Airlines was amazed that they did nothing to help us out."

Cons: "I purchased the earliest flight of the day from Vegas to Los Angeles so I could be in LA by 11am so I could attend the 1pm Dodger game at dodger stadium... ( I specifically flew into lax for the game that I spent $100 on tickets for) well I arrived to LAS at 5am by 515am I received my first notification that my flight wouldn't be leaving until 1030am.... I was a little annoyed but hey I'm still going to make it to my game, ( I just needed to let my ride know who's lives 3 hours away from LA that my flight was going to be 3 hours late not to rush) well about an hour later I got another notification that my flight was now being pushed back to 230pm.... at this point I have no choice but to look for another flight.... I found another flight on Southwest leaving Las at 1210pm arriving in lax at 120pm... perfect I can still make my game... That flight was boarding on time... ran into some hiccups on the runway... arrive to lax at 130pm... not a problem can still make my game... sat on the runway at lax until 335.... needless to say I missed the game... while in the air I received another text that my American airline flights was now pushed back to 530pm... mind you my day started at 5am on Las Vegas to catch a flight out at 720am.... Now had I not found that other flight I would have been sitting around Vegas airport for over 12 hours.... I was not a happy flier today, specially because the actual flight is normally no more than 45 minutes start to finish... I could have rented a car and drove... would have been cheaper and I would have made it to my game ...."

Pros: "The Ticket agent was very helpful and friendly. The air crew and Flight Attendants were very nice and helpful. The wheel chair attendant who initially took me to my gate in Las Vegas was very friendly, and helpful, and she did everything she could possibly have done, short of leaving another passenger to come take care of me, which wouldn't have been right. I was there when she called her supervisor and advised him/her of my location and of my needs and she received confirmation. Was not her fault."
Cons: "I checked in with American and a wheel chair attendant assisted me to my gate. My wheel chair needed charged and I was two hours early, so the attendant sat me at the charging station because there were no outlets in the gate area. She contacted her supervisor to advise of my location and that I would need assistance. Nobody came for me. I gathered my things the best I could and struggled to get to the gate to get attitude from the gate agent, telling me the wheel chair attendant was there looking for me. What ever happen to using a paging system when you know the passenger who is disabled checked in two hours earlier? Had someone paged, maybe I could have flagged their attention, or maybe they could have called the company in charge of handling their wheel chair attendance and would have known where I could be located. Either way, the attitude is uncalled for, especially when I apologized and stated that the wheel chair attendant was expected to help me."

I' m frustrated wit the airline's reservations for seats -- none unless you pay extra. Flying (especially with American Airlines) used to be a pleasant experience. Now it is very hectic -- no reserved seats, cramped seats, little/ no food. I'll drive from now on."

It is 2016, please stop the madness of having coast to coast flights with no entertainment available."

Cons: "We were not advised that we had to change planes. Our original iteniary was an one hour layover in Chii, and continuing on the same plane. If my wife did not ask a flight attendant a question I might have missed my connecting second flight. I never heard of the same flight number being used on a another plain."

Cons: "Because I arrived 40min before my flight was scheduled to leave the kiosk wouldn't print my boarding pass. I was forced to stand in a line that took 18min for a customer service representative. I was then told I couldn't board my flight. I was then put on standby for a flight that would leave two hours later. I went through security it only took 10min because it was 8am on a Saturday morning in LAS VEGAS. I was through security and my original flight still hadn't left. If the kiosk had just printed my ticket I would have made my flight with plenty of time."

Friend of ours seat was switched also and instead of him sitting next to his wife he sat next to a person who did not have an assigned seat he was extremely large and he was hanging off The seat into the aisle I noticed an empty seat and had to ask the stewardess if he could switch seats instead of the stewardess offering on her own. The flight out was delayed approximately one hour various mechanics coming on and off plane until finally we were able to leave."

And I have to work the next day. This is unacceptable! I just received another update that now we're leaving at 1:45 am . Please do not, again do not use Allegheny EVER again!!"

She showed up, then they made a announcement that the Oakland flight will be delayed till 8:10 takeoff. I was able to get on a flight to Stockton Airport without problem. They wouldnt tell me what was wrong, and i didnt want to chance that it was the last dlight to Oakland and went with Stockton. The flight was good, you have to pay for your water."

Cons: "The seats are really packed in, and people kept slamming into my elbow as they walked down the aisle. De-planing was a bit chaotic, I don't think many of these people fly regularly, and were having some serious heebie-jeebies at their bags being in an overhead compartment not immediately above their head. So before anyone was mobile or doors were open, there were large pieces of luggage being passed around through really crowded spaces. Chill, people. The baggage carousel at the new terminal was poorly designed, shutting down when people went to pick up their bags. It took awhile to get our bags, and we were scolded by the staff for tripping some sensor. I don't know what universe y'all live in, but in this one, you have to move close to the carousel to lift your bag. So the sensor tripped like three times and people were unhappy."

Additional costs are for seat selection, unless you want to take a chance of getting stuck in a middle seat, carry on and checked bags and paying for bottled water and soda. Also the seats don't recline so carry ibuprofen if you fly on Alegient."

Cons: "don't mind paying for snacks, that's totally fine. In fact, the prices weren't extravagant, so that was totally acceptable. I don't REALLY even mind paying the baggage fee for a carry on as long as the rules are enforced, but there were people who were BLATANTLY over the size limit who hadn't paid, which seems unfair when I paid $36. The reason I know they didn't pay??? They were MY traveling companions. I can only imagine if they did it, then many other people did it as well. So the money is no big deal when the flight is so inexpensive, but the baggage policy needs to be kept fair. I could barely fit the bag I paid for to be in the overhead storage, b/c backpacks, jackets, and purses were crowding the bin."

Cons: "Delay notification message did suggest calling the airlines to make change nor stating that I'll miss my connection in Frankfurt. I assumed I'll be missing it so I called Lufthansa to make changes. Their attempts to help took too much time, they did not look tat the trip from origination to provide best alternatives until I arrived to airport in Las Vegas to find out that again they had to change the booking and issue a new ticket. This took more than two hours. Had I not was preemptive I would have been stuck in Frankfort for an extra day."

Cons: "I did not like that you had to pay to watch TV. I did pay to watch TV during my flight, and there were times that the connect was spotting and the picture or sound would go out. Also, in the middle of the flight, the TV did a reboot. If I am paying for this service, I expect it to work. I also did not like the boarding process. I don't know when there became so many preferred groups, but it became a little ridiculous. I felt like half the plan was in one of these numerous preferred or special seating groups. The crew was mediocre. They weren't overtly rude or anything, but they certainly weren't going out of their way to be friendly either."

Cons: "I didn't notice that I'd have to pay $45 for a carry on. I ultimately paid $85 for baggage which didn't make up for the difference of ticket price from other airlines. I didn't realize food and beverages were not included in the flight. No charging station for my phone. Bare bones. Tried to sell us a credit card signup on the flight."

Cons: "I checked in at a kiosk and had a carry on. Did not realized they charged for a carry on piece of luggage. On the first leg no issues, however on the second leg trying to board in Denver they stopped me while trying to board and said I needed to pay for my carry on. I said I didn't have to on first keg. They didn't care and wanted to charge me double $60. That is totally unacceptable to double the charge because I was paying at the gate. They held up the flight to collect this double fee. I will never take Frontier again."

Because of a 6 hour delay in vegas we missed our flight out of denver and was told we would be placed on a flight at 110 pm but when we got to denver we had to wait till 1145 pm to leave. We both missed work. We received a room voucher in denver and when we got to the room had to give them a credit card then were told we had to check out at 11 am that same day and it was 6am when we checked in. Still had to spend over 12 hours in airport. Very unsatisfied and disappointed with the whole experience!!!"

First time you lost our luggage on our honeymoon and then this time the flight was delayed and there was no attempt to make it right. We had to cancel our trip to Vegas and drive to a different destination. Ruined our vacation again but never again!"

Check in was a night mare also, I could not get it done on my phone, and at the airport it was not much better."

Whatever "price" youre quoted please try to factor in an additional 40-70 in fees depending on things like do you want a seat, do you have a bag, etc. In the end, this is a budget airline so if you do not know that simple fact you will be upset. That is your fault for not understanding the word budget and presumably not flying in 20+ years because thats how flights work. It's fine for what it is: a plane that flies."

Cons: "The spirit luggage check in delayed me (the 120 minutes early I was there) before the flight - standing in line - by the time I got to the ONE gate agent she said I was too late to catch the flight and admitted it wasn't my fault but I would have to pay an additional $170 to book the next flight which was the following morning. Down hill from there. It took me an hour waiting on hold to speak to someone on the phone. The representative & then her supervisor could care less, by that time the rebooking charge had gone up to $215. It cost me $300+ to last minute book a low price room for the night, taxi back and forth from the airport (I had already returned my rental car). That doesn't include the return flight I paid for on a different airline or the refund I should have recieved for the RT trip I already paid for. Shameful (non)service spirit!!!"

They were able to get it started and we were able to fly."

Cons: "Their web-site is horrible! Tried multiple times to get my bags pre-checked and seat selected. Never worked. Refused two different credit cards that worked fine at the airport. But at that point I was charged extra due to the delay and needing to have things handled by a counter person. Also had trouble getting my boarding pass printed. The web site kept circling back to the same "Print your boarding pass" page. Tried calling customer service. Was routed through a maze of choices that never offered talking to an actual person. Finally found a way to trick the system and couldn't understand the accent. Will never fly Spirit again if there is any other choice. Hassles are not worth the potential cost savings."

But they don't tell you that you then must pay for carry-on luggage at $50.00 per piece at the airport. On our return flight I went online to pre-purchase the luggage at $40 per piece but the system would not accept my PMT. I called customer svc to pay over the phone. He said "that will be $55.00 EACH. This is for CARRY ON luggage that is free on every other airline. I paid the $50 at the airport which made them MUCH more costly than any other airline."
