I was traveling from US to Kathmandu (KTM) but had to stop by Delhi for few weeks due to business. Delhi to KTM isn't considered international flight for whatsoever reason so they only allow 20 kilos of luggage. I had 23 KG x 2 as allowed when I boarded my flight from US. So had to pay $5/Kg for anything over 20 KG. Then I was marched to the customs by the airline rep for further inspection/clearance. The very unfriendly airline reps were not interested in hearing my situation as I tried to explain... they kept on repeating, "no, you have to pay." so i gave up in a minute and went along with the process. There is a loophole in their process and taking customer feedback into account is how they can improve it but no...that's not the Jet Airways way.
Before take-off alarm went off on the back of the plane and smokes were visible. Pretty scary stuff. 10 crew/engineers boarded the plane to fix the problem. I felt I should deplane and find another flight as my confidence level went low. After much of running back/forth the plane anxiously by them and crew members the captain declared victory and announced take off in next 25 min. Flight landed an hour late.
Crew member were not accommodating either, I asked for a drink while serving food to which he seemed surprised and said he will check (added a note in a piece of napkin). I waited... and waited... Then after a while (20 min later) I asked and he said we are about to land in a very friendly tone that felt like "oh you shut the **** up"
Not going to travel with this airline ever and will let my friend/family/social media know about this bad experience so they can decide if they would like that experience or even worst.
