Pros: "The crew were superb and the bathrooms were regularly cleant"
Pros: "The crew was lovely as were the littlebthibgs like slippers."
Cons: "The lack of ac control and heat of the cabin wzsnt fun.. the kosher meal was aweful...biggesst and worst thing was mo wifi"
Pros: "Crew took a while before can attend to our needs. Foods are the same choices very limited to beef and fish. Breakfast items are only cereal and porridge. We are seated behind two small kids who constantly kicking my seats."
Pros: "As always Korean Air’s attention to detail is outstanding and impressive."
Cons: "Though I appreciate the consideration given to tall passengers (trying to find us an aisle seat with an empty seat beside, after boarding, for instance), I think there is more that could be done during the check-in process to seat tall passengers into emergency exits or other seats with more legroom"
Pros: "Would appreciate if they can provide a list of possible menus to choose for the meals. Consistencies on bagage claim info, and changes in boarding gates."
Cons: "Inconsistencies, on my way back to montreal from the philippines, i was informed that baggage would be claimed directly to final port of destination but didnt, when i arrived at toronto i had to take my bagage and drop it off again, although my next flight would be with west jet airlines, korean air was not able to communicate well with their airline partners as to bagage claim and changes in boarding gates."
Cons: "flight from bos to new york was canceled. i did not receive any updates via email or phone. i got an email at 12am saying this flight has been canceled. i was not notified on what my flight has been updated to. i had to call and go to the airport 4 hours earlier."
Pros: "How often i was fed"
Cons: "I wanted to upgrade and they said no even rhough it wasnt full"
Cons: "During 14 hour flight, meals were served at the beginning and at the end which comes to 10 hours in between. Between the two meals, they offered a snack of banana or brownie. My wife and I were starving. Terrible!"
Cons: "Entertainment options are out of date which is painful for long flights"
Pros: "Crew attended to my needs seriously and in a timely fashion."
Food from Philippines to Japan was excellent but served a little late. Food from Japan to USA WAS LOUSY and they only served hot food one time for breakfast which means 2 hours away from arrival. Hot food meal should have been served 2 hours after boarding in an airport where everything ia closed after 9 pm. Some of the connecting passengers did not have a hot meal for at least 12 hours or maybe more.
Pros: "Great customer experience is what look for in any service, ANA delivers this in abundance."
Pros: "Premium economy is the way to go! Comfy seats with plenty of room; preflight lounge access."
Cons: "Unfortunately, premium economy is the only way to go, because economy class seats are very cramped and "locked" in the upright position (for a 10+ hour flight), and it's a bit pricey."
Pros: "The cabin crew was always found to be welcoming and co-operative attitude. Rest Rooms (Toilets) were found to be clean whenever visited."
Pros: "The staff are so friendly and helpful. The seats in premium economy are perfect for long flights and the food was great."
Cons: "Nothing bad"
Pros: "Staff were very helpful and the food was good."
Cons: "The place where we at, the aircon/ fan is not working, my husband and I tried but still not working, uncomfortable feeling for a long trip , prior to this we had a long walk to find our gate number because it's in the new building. Our plane delayed so we arrived late at Tokyo causing to missed our plane connection then the crew helped us( very accommodating) for our transfer from Narita international airport to Haneda International airport with Limo bus, 1 & 1/2 hour ride with our luggages and waited for 8 hrs to be on board in a different airline."
Pros: "The flight attendants on my ANA flight from Beijing to Tokyo were the most pleasant group of people I’ve seen for a long time."
Pros: "Everything about ANA flight was excellent. From service to food and entertainment was spot o. Will now fly ANA flights to Asia if possible."
Cons: "None."
Pros: "Friendly & helpful stewardesses, watched new release movies, good meals, overall a smooth ride."
Cons: "Quite a few passengers with young children crying throughout the trip but I can sympathize trying to keep them occupied on such a long flight."
Pros: "Service, staff, and food were all above-average as compared to other companies with whom I've flown"
Cons: "Spacing was a little bit cramped, and side-to-side leg-room was so cramped that my neighbor fell asleep, spread his legs and suddenly had no where to escape. Made sleeping difficult/impossible."
Pros: "I had a cheap ticket and expected much less, but food was great, crew was creat, boarding was easy."
Cons: "The boarding was on small plane parked far away from the terminal and we had such a long bus ride I started to think "what is going on"..."
Pros: "The 1-hour complimentary wifi."
Cons: "Hope they had the immigration/arrival card on the airplane."
Cons: "Delayed flight meant missed connection and had to stay overnight. Very little communication from the airline about what arrangements were being made. Was also unable to check in online on either leg."
Pros: "Great crew"
Cons: "The food didn’t necessarily agree with me but it tasted good and there was plenty of it."
Cons: "DOHA to NY. I board the plane to find out that Qatar SWITCHED SEATS ON ME that I selected months ago without any notice at all! Got stuck in middle seat on the wing! I emailed Qatar you know what they said? "Seat assignments can never guarantee." No voucher or anything offered! Fly something else!!"
Pros: "The staff was very helpful went above and beyond to help. Everything was smooth from boarding to landing plus everything in between."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The food was not served well. There were no snacks on the flight. The service was not even prompt. If I request for juice/water it was served to me after 30-40 minutes . I was travelling with a baby and the staff was not even considerate about it and attending fast. I requested for a mineral water bottle as I ran out of baby water for making milk for the baby and the staff was so reluctant and told "they are done" and just left.I am really dissapointed with this. I doubt if I would travel with qatar again"
Pros: "My mom traveled alone for the first time. She doesn't speak English very well. I'm so impressed with the crew that they took good care of my mother. They understood her super broken English and served her real good vegetarian food. Thanks again."
Cons: "not so much."
Pros: "Fabulous crew, good choice of food and drinks and served whenever you want it. Good array of entertainment on offer but our flight was a 'sleeper' so after a fumble with the controls and the limited new releases, I opted to read instead. Seats are comfy and spacious, much wider than Emirates in the same class (who offer only an extra 1/2 inch width over economy). Amenity kit a quality piece that is both practical and useful."
Cons: "Crew seemed to have stopped referring to the passengers by name and offer a less-personalised service in Business than we have become accustomed to. The food choices while good, have been paired back as have the selection of wines."
Cons: "Food options- they start serving from front when they reach behind of plane food options exhausted. Pls ask ground catering to provide more non veg food The cabin temperature was close to freezing on the GOi-DOH international flight. No blankets provided when asked for blankets was told by the Indian air hostess on board the Qatar Airways flight that there is a shortage of blankets and they had to give children first Flight was at 3:50 am at this early tme pls provide blankets for all specially if it is freezing"
Pros: "Boarding was handled very well. I find the crew incredible; they were very attentive and very helpful. They certainly looked after the passengers."
Cons: "They went out their way; I can't see how things could have been better."
Cons: "We had reservations for 3 persons. When we arrived, we were required to upgrade (90,000 yen total) in order to be seated together. We made the reservation 2 months earlier. Seems like it would have been possible to put us together."
Pros: "The crew were so polite and helpful."
Cons: "Archaic entertainment system. Cabin was dull and seats not up to standard of other airlines business class."
Pros: "Asiana crew was very cooperative and helping. The were fast and always bringing water and juice to passengers in 9.5 hrs flight. they were thorough in takeoff and landing preparedness."
Pros: "The price. Significantly cheaper than our normal ride on EVA through Taipei. Having said that...won't do it again."
Cons: "We travel between the US and Asia a couple of times a year and normally fly on EVA, who has wonderful service and great food. We took Asiana this time because the ticket price was significantly less than EVA. Below are the reasons we won't do it again. 1. The food was awful. My wife had the Asian dishes and I had the Western dishes. Both were well below the quality of food we're used to on EVA. 2. Transit in Seoul. On the way to Bangkok from LA we had 50 minutes to transit Seoul to our next flight. The transit security line was quite long and it was obvious that we, along with a few dozen other passengers, weren't going to be able to make the connection. After much complaining from us and our fellow passengers they ran us through another security line. Rushed to the airplane and made it. On returning to LA from Bangkok it was exactly the opposite. The only option was nearly 8 hours connection in Seoul. But we had plenty of time to negotiate the transit security line. These connect times did not occur because of a last-minute ticket purchase. I purchased these tickets in July for a December/January flight to Bangkok and return. 3. Inflight service was not at the level of EVA. Like any other Asian carrier, the flight attendants were light years ahead of ANY US airline crew, but below the standard of EVA. Waking you up to eat a meal (I typically don't eat dinner at 1AM), etc. I was sleeping with my seat reclined and the flight attendant took it upon herself to upright my seat at meal time and woke me up, presumably so the person in the seat behind me was more comfortable with space to eat their meal, but hey...I purchased the seat to sleep just like the other passenger purchased the seat to eat, so I think I had just as much right to "my space and comfort" as the other passenger did. Just little stuff that doesn't happen on EVA. 4. Inflight entertainment is lacking as compared to EVA. Few movie and TV choices, few game choices. 5. We sat in economy. The seats were not very comfortable. Seems the cushions were thin and it became like sitting on plywood after a while. Legroom on the 747 flight wasn't so great, but there was plenty of legroom on the A380. The A380 seating was still kinda hard, but the legroom sure helped. 6. Boarding process. Poorly organized. Nobody pays a bit of attention to "boarding by row number". Consequently it's a bit of chaos during boarding. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true. For a flight of that length I won't choose to save the $200 or so per ticket and will ride on EVA. We've proven to ourselves that EVA is just pretty hard to beat."
Pros: "The flight got attendants were polite."
Cons: "The food was not so good as expected, to my surprise and disappointment. The seats were even narrower than my next connecting 2hr-flight from Incheon to Osaka... Also the flight attendants spoke only in Korean when walking down the aisles offering coffee, tea, etc. When I fly on other Asian airlines (Singaporean, Japan Airlines, All Nippon) everything is bilingual so it is easy to understand what is being offered or asked."
Pros: "Excellent ethnic Korean food. Attendants were extremely polite and and professional."
Cons: "This was better just that seat width was really narrow.too uncomfortable."
Pros: "I love how they give importance to parents traveling with little kids."
Cons: "They ran out of food choices. I have been flying with Asiana for the longest time and this has happened thrice."
Pros: "Loved the service and comfort, food was exceptional for an airline."
Cons: "Suggest a better selection of movies and tv shows."
Pros: "Baggage policy and amenities on board as well as the Istanbul airport as a connector."
Pros: "good people /service, good food and comfortable seating nice experience all in all"
Pros: "Turkish Airlines offers an experience much better than your average two-hour plane hop in the U.S. There was a full meal served, staff were kind and didn’t try to sell a bunch of extra stuff to you, and there were many choices for in-flight entertainment."
Cons: "Unfortunately, the children on the plane were really poorly behaved and loud. In addition, the flight was delayed by 1 full hour and when we arrived in Vienna our luggage (and the luggage of many other passengers) had not been sent with us. We waited in line for luggage for 30 minutes, then another line for at least 30 more minutes to report the missing bag, and we were then told that it wouldn’t arrive for another day and would be delivered to us within a 3 hour window in the middle of the day. This was essentially an entire night and day lost to a mishap that the airline didn’t even notify us of when we landed. Pretty frustrating."
Pros: "Great entertainment, good seat comfort (even in economy seat), good food and friendly service."
Pros: "The crew are very friendly and in general and the flight was very nice"
Cons: "Need to have a bigger seats"
Pros: "The flight was slightly comfortable, there were more food and snacks options than in other aircraft companies."
Cons: "Some of the crew were very rude, making a point to show you that they were hassled by serving you. I thought that was poor service. The seats weren't all working so while the passenger in front of me reclined, my seat wouldn't making for a very uncomfortable flight. I thought the entire aircraft needed either renovation or retirement altogether. Old TVs and non-functioning seats, all made me kind scared of where I was tbh."
Pros: "The hot stewardess. She not only was gorgeous she smelled fantastic. What a treat to look at! Hire more beautiful women. Fire the fat ones."
Cons: "No where to stash my legs. Why bother to have feet, knees and legs while flying. While flying economy class, airlines should require amputation of legs at the hip. You should just do it because at the end of a long flight your legs will fall off anyhow. They will be rotten and full of ganggreene from no blood flow."
Pros: "Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. They fed us and gave us blankets and pillows and slippers. They were lots of movie and tv choices. It was a very pleasant experience."
Pros: "Turkish Airlins is so wonderful, and I really appreciate being treated like a human being at IST (unlike Schipol, De Gaulle, other airports to connect at around Europe)."
Pros: "I bought a ticket for three persons: my wife, my daughtet and me. I am Nigerian, my daughter American, and my wife's Turkish. However, because of the diplomatic row between Turkey and the U.S., my daughter was refused entry into Turkey. Turkish airlines' policy was to refund the ticket of any American caught in this row. They said they will refund my one month old daughter's ticket. However, my wife and i will not receive a refund. We bought the three tickets together. Our ticket numbers ended in 235...51, 235...52, and 235...53. However, they will not refund our whole money by cancelling the ticket but only that of my daughter. So this is the question: Does Turkish airline want me to leave my one-month old baby in the U.S. and tavel with my wife to Turkey? What kind of parents will we be if we were to abandon our daughter to take a trip to Turkey. Even, the people in Turkish airlines will judge us evil parents, yet that was exactly the only option they gave us. Lose your daughter or lose your ticket money. They will not even just change our iternary or give us another destination we suggested without penalties which are almost 3/4 of our initial ticket price. They just made away with our money. You cannot say, 'We are cancelling tickets for American citizens' but make no exception for parents of infant citizens. This is the height of criminality. So, me and my family couldn't take the flight and lost $1500. We had to buy another ticket by airfloat to get to Georgia. But Turkish airlines refused to even contact us on the refund for my daughter. A truly criminal enterprise."
Cons: "They had a vague refund policy for Americans, forgetting that American infants can also have none-American parents who are as much victims in this as the American infant. For them to be myopic and keep repeating talking points of their refund policy is unfortunate to say the least."
