Short flight with minimal services. I have no complaints. The staff were very, very good.

Service is good and food is very nice.

The crew at the check-in counter was super-helpful and exceptionally kind.

Pros: "The flight never occurred. The first leg of my flight from Ho Chi Minh was cancelled and I was not informed. I discovered this when I went to check in. I called Kayak to resolve this since I had confirmation of the booking and was placed on hold. After 2 HOURS I hung up. At roughly 4:00 am I spoke with someone at Kayak who confirmed the flight was cancelled and that I was not contacted. An offer was made to put me on another flight a day later but that was impossible because of needing another Covid test. I was able to arrange another flight that was more expensive."

I tried a month later but the problem was not solved. They foward any problems and inquiries to reservation center but calling the number won't find anyone to talk. Always they put me on hold for hours and never reached anyone. I have food allergy and tried to request for special meals but the option was not there under my eticket number as described in their website. They say the option may not be available because I purchased my ticket from 3rd party, not from JAL or it was code share flight. Very inconvenient. I had to skip 2 meals out of 3in leaving for Japan. I got very hungry at the end of the flight...."

Cons: "I'm an entertainer, very well respected in Hawaii, Japan and the world. and has always traveled JAL. I travel with my guitar and has never had a problem carrying it on board. The staff will usually come a get it and put it in the closet if it didn't fit in the overhead. But I guess recently rules change, and was told I would have to check it in because the closet space is used only for staff and business people. Was told that the 737 was to small for my guitar won't fit overhead. I have taken 737's all my life with Aloha Airlines and told them that my guitar would fit. That gentleman was a JERK! and was'nt very helpful, and told me I couldn't take it on board and I would have to take it to the package store and have them box it up. That spoiled my whole vacation."

The food and beverage options were comparable to most airlines like Delta, United, etc, but presentation was better so they get style points. Their wifi connectivity was far better than Gogo's services, which is the provider for most domestic airlines. The real improvement compared to most my travel was the level of service. The staff was incredibly attentive."

Thete was not sufficient time to arrive more than an hour early due to the fact Gimpo airport opens at 6am and the flight was at 7:45. When I arrived I was not allowed to check in or board and no one wanted to help me find out what to do. They suggested I call my ticketing agent. Thankfully they were helpful but they mentioned the ANA SHOULD have helped me find the next available flight but the representative kept repeating it was not her job. Finally she looked and said there were no available flights and tried to push me to buy another ticket through another company. My ticketing agent helped after she heard what happened and rebooked my flight for the next day. Hopefully everything goes smoothly but ANA staff at Gimpo were a bit of a nightmare to deal with"

Pros: "The large windows on the 787 are really a big plus for someone like me who likes to look out the window. To have the added ability to dim the window progressively is just too cool. Even if the sun is bright, you can still look out and enjoy the view. I love this feature of the 787 and am always a little disappointed when I'm back in any other aircraft."

Since we're told to get there two hours early, it would be nice to have more than a tiny little snack bar with overpriced pre-made sandwiches and salads that have been sitting out for who knows how long. Crappy lukewarm coffee. Starbucks is right outside security, but of course we can't bring liquids through."

I reserved the tickets to Shanghai but there were no place reminding me that I need Canadian VISA to connect flights between two Canadian cities. I am a Chinese citizen who is working at USA and not allowed to change flights in Canada based on the newest government rules. However, in both booking systems, there is no reminders. In my opinion, either Kayak or Air Canada can add a simple checkbox to let the potential guest choose his or her nationality status, then this kind of trouble can be mitigated. We talked and called Air Canada people but no buying. They kept saying this is our responsibility. We bought United Airline tickets at the last minutes and cost us about $2,400 because we cannot wait to get back China to prepare our wedding ceremony and US Visa interview. We are very very disappointed with Air Canada and will keep complaining about this issue. As a service supplier, how cannot you think on behalf of a customer? The air company definitely knows more about government rules than a customer. We did have mistakes of not researching government rules. However, the biggest mistake was we trusted Air Canada and Kayak who we thought had taken care of those kind of issues for us. Thanks."

Moreover when i protested the customer service agent mocked me for not realizing it was a 'weather related incident'. I spent the night on the floor on YYC. Needless to say, Ill never fly Air Canada again."

Cons: "The flight had two legs: from Boston to Toronto and from Toronto to New Delhi. The layover was 1 hr 6 min, which was tight. After checking in our bags, we found out that the first leg of our flight is 2 hours late, so obviously we couldn't take the second flight. Looking at the TV monitors, I noticed that pretty much ALL Air Canada flights are seriously delayed. Luckily, there was an earlier flight to Toronto (which was scheduled to have already left, but it did not leave because that was delayed, too). The staff put us on that flight and double promised to make sure that our checked in baggage gets transferred to this alternate flight. The checked bags did not get transferred. When we arrived at Delhi, after an exasperating 1.5 hour delay after a 20 hour flight, the airline told us, and many others in the same situation, that our baggage did not arrive, and we have to come the next day to pick them up. The issue was, we were not staying in Delhi, just transiting through it. No luck, the airline said, because the customs have to be cleared at the port of entry. We are still waiting for our baggage. Oh, and if that was not enough, the airline allocated well separated seats for all the members of our family. I'd think it would be a common sense that people who have been booked on the same ticket must be assigned consecutive seats. But apparently Air Canada does not have much common sense. NOT flying with them ever again!"

Because of this, PreCheck passages need to hold onto there bording pass as they go through security. The first security person who checks ID and boarding pass only told my wife not to take off her shoes. He did not tell her to hold on to her boarding pass, so she put it into the bin for x-ray stuff. So later security personnel then told her to take off her shoes and gave her a body scan because her boarding pass was already in the x-ray machine. I always hold on to my boarding pass thru security but had to take my computer out of my carry-on."

This could have been solved by leaving one lane free for people sitting upstairs, or 'preferred' fliers. Instead everyone was pushed back and had to wait. I've never seen an aeroplane boarded so badly and we ended up being some of the last people on the plane. Badly organised and just plain awful."

Everyone was AMAZING. From helping to rearrange seats, other passengers, and even upgrade to maximize comfort and minimize more damage to my arm to helping open any food packages so that I could eat with medication and checking in on me frequently, I couldn't have asked for better attention given the situation. I hadn't heard of this airline before but now highly recommend - they were amazing through two flight legs, two different airline crews, and 3 airports. Cannot thank the crew enough for their attention and care during a very difficult time. I am a frequent traveler and this is the best customer experience I've ever had."

However, they did not transfer all the bags at Guangzhou from Sydney to Incheon. The baggage clerk quickly found the bag and said it would be delivered to Daejeon the next day. We will continue to fly China Southern as much as possible because of the good fares and great service."

Frills are nice, but not necessary, and do NOT make up for not consistently delivering these priorities. Not allowing the use of cell phones in airplane mode on-board was mildly inconvenient also. Having more than one bathroom on the planes would also be appreciated."

Seems to be a pattern with Malaysian Airways and I will avoid them in the future, Also, I left my Ipad plugged in at the Premier Lounge in Denpasar and realized it as I was boarding the plane. The Malaysian Air boarding staff got on radios and appeared to try to help by telling them to put aside for pick up upon my return. Yesterday, The Premiere lounge said they did not have it despite my name, email and phone number being written on the Ipad. Between Malaysian Air and the Lounge and their lack of concern and professionalism it was not a good trip. As One World Emerald member, I steer a lot of business towards these One World Airlines. I expect better treatment."
