Pros: Crew was amazing before and after the flight! Delta really showed if the world isn’t doing well, that their staff will keep those problems outside the plane and keep everyone calm and safe. Thank you Delta!
Cons: Absolutely nothing. I’m going to join the miles points with Delta.
Pros: Crew was friendly and efficient. The flight got in slightly early. Baggage was swiftly delivered after our arrival.
Cons: Very little legroom. I would have appreciated a small lunch item, beyond a tiny bag of almonds or two small cookies. But this is where we are these days with air travel.
Pros: I have no kind words for United Airlines. They abandoned my entirely family (including 3 small children) and hundreds of other people in the Dominican Republic when COVID19 travel restrictions went into effect. While other airlines have been sending empty planes back to repatriate their customers, United canceled all return flights and left us to fend for ourselves. We're still stuck here and never had any help even rebooking with another airline. We've had to spend thousands of dollars to try to get out of here and back to the United States. We finally were able to secure seats on a Delta flight that leaves tomorrow. It's unbelievable that they did this to us and I can't begin to explain the stress this put on or family. All they needed to do was honor their agreement to return us home and decided to throw our lives into turmoil instead.
Cons: They could have done what they were supposed to and not abandon my family in the Dominican Republic to fend for ourselves and destroy us financially.
Pros: The only positive with this experience was the gate agent(s) superior customer service. That being said they were stuck with dealing with a complete failure of United to provide guidance as to how the airline was going to deal with a technical issue with the plane. The flight was scheduled for a 7:00 AM departure, from what I could tell the flight finally left Portland around 4:00 PM. Because of extenuating circumstances myself and my traveling companion cancelled our entire trip. Given such a poor start we were unwilling to trust that any proposed alternative would be any better. In other words United seriously dropped the ball. They not only owe an apology to their customers, but also owe one to their hard working" contract" employees.
Cons: Communication. As I explained to United customer service, I find it incredible that the airline industry has built a business plan based on the misguided supposition that everything they do will go according to a best a case scenario, yet they appear to not have much of a plan when things don't work that way. Second, the idea that they have no proactive system to deal with technical issues a smaller destination. There are no mechanics/technicians stationed at places like Portland. I don't know what it cost them to have a revenue producing aircraft sit on the ground for 18-20 hours, not to mention the labor costs incurred trying to redirect 100 or so passengers. It seems to me that those numbers would probably go a long way towards paying to have a mechanic(s) on duty. As an aside, I paid retail for two first class round trip tickets. Given the circumstance I would like to see United refund those ticket prices in full, then and only then, will I consider using their services again.
Pros: Your willingness to proceed with flying into a pandemic zone with total travel lockdown.
Cons: allowing travelers that have been advised not to travel to Europe to either change or refund their flights. Your system for this is a bureaucratic nightmare, and the responsible thing to do in a time of crisis is allow people to make the right decision to stay in place. I am done using your service.
We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.
