Whole reason, I booked a earlier flight so I can get to spend time in Lima but Avianca airlines changed the connecting flight from Bogata from 125pm flight to 330pm flight. I paid additional $250/ticket to get these tickets so I can get to Lima earlier than 7pmso that my wife and I can enjoy our honeymoon. I am very disappointed that airlines decided to switch flights without our approval. We did reach to Bogota at 1155am and we even tried to catch the 125pm flight from Bogota to Lima. but the staff was not helpful at all. All they kept on saying, “sorry nothing can be done, go file a complain”. Are you kidding me by saying that to your client, “go file a complaint”, instead of assisting. I guess Avianca airlines crew needs to learn about hospitality and customer service. NO AIRLINE MAKES Involuntary CHANGES with out notifying customers. Even on United Airlines, they don’t change flights with out informing customers."

Why did we pay $25 a bag if you don't enforce this? Food choices are funny, especially the "tapas". Whoever thinks THOSE are tapas should Google the word tapas. Delta reportedly earned 746 million in the first quarter and you charge for everything and still can't come up with decent food for us to BUY?"

Boarding crew (not on flight but in the terminal) was NOT nice-- I had a garment bag that in past experience does not count as an additional carry on since it can be placed on top of carry-on in overhead bin. Boarding crew member insisted I was over the limit (when though at check-in, the staffer saw how many pieces I had and made no comment) and she insisted I had to check one item AND pay the baggage fee. But this was a problem only because it was a full flight, and I was being punished just because my seat was in a tow closer to the front and boarded later, therefore there was less room left in the overhead bins. Also seemed ridiculous to charge for the first checked bag, with most other reputable airlines, there is no fee for the first checked bag for international flights."

A fellow passenger was given a boarding pass JFK to Guadalajara. In Monterrey they wouldn’t let him go through security. We went to the gate to find an agent to help. Of course there wasn’t one. I asked security to,page an agent. One arrived several minutes later, seemed to understand, and escorted him through security. On our return, the email I received to check in for the flight said we were flying JFK to Guadalajara. In fact we were flying the opposite. Clumsy and confusing. The food was dreadful (at least there was some?). The service onboard was courteous but not friendly. All four flights departed and arrived late. The jet bridge wouldn’t work on our arrival back at JFK and we were stuck on the plane another 30 minutes."

Pros: "The only thing that i liked was that the flight was real quick"
Cons: "That the flight and boarding was on time and if there was a delay that they communicate with the passengers not just have us up thinking not knowing what the delay is for. Also our luggages took over an hour to get the whole experience here was ridiculous. Not happy at all"

Cons: "The crew to check in at the airport were not helpful at all. They charge me and my family to print our tickets for us. That’s ridiculous, and an extra $50 per bag. I will never fly with volaris again."

Cons: "Horrible service, rude , dirty , too crowded, over priced ! I was charged for my luggage when I was told it was already included. And apparently they were over widget but the website said I was okay. I even called and tripped check since this was our first time flying with them. They told us to get there at least 3 hour before our flight and they didn’t start checking us in until 3:50 ! I felt rushed after because we didn’t have time to grab a coffee or eat. The workers are rude and disrespectful not helpful at all !"

Cons: "They tried to charge me for carry on luggage even though I was under weight and under size. They aggressively tried to take my carryon and told me I had to pay 41$ per bag or I could not get on plane. Only when I asked for a manager and found someone to interpret for me and show with a measuring tape and we did they allow me on... total scam - the gate attendant conned at least 15 people before us that had smaller bags that they had to pay (very aggressively in Spanish and many passengers did not speak Spanish so gave in and payed just to get on flight). Once on the flight- you can adjust your seat which for me wasn’t a big deal at 5’1” but any taller would be an issue. You pay for even water on this flight."
