Cons: "American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me."

It then took another forty minutes for the baggage claim office person to go through security, to the arrival gate and back to baggage claim."

Cons: "At every point, this airline tries to nickle and dime you. Costs for luggage and carry ons drive the price up to that of other tickets. The seats are very cramped and do not recline."

Cons: "Flight schedule kept changing at last minute. Seats were uncomfortable. They charge $25 for every bash to checkin including first bag. Also they charge anywhere from $9 to $16 each flight for picking seats if you want to to seat together with your family. I will not travel ever in frontier airlines ever nor recommend it to anyone."

Cons: "Bought my tickets for my parents. My moms brother found out he had terminal cancer and wasn't going to last but 2 weeks or so a day before they were scheduled to depart. When my parents were scheduled to leave my dad tried asking for Frontier airlines to give my mom a voucher for another flight so she could stay a few days longer until he passed. Frontier airlines refused and then tried charging my dad a cancellation fee of $96. The whole reason I paid for my parents trip is because they had no money and then Frontier airlines tried charging double price for cancellation fee. My mom then had to buy her ticket home for $190. We have always used Southwest Airlines in the past due to their no fees for luggage and very accommodating to cancellations. Upsetting that during extremely hard times in our life we have the stress of picking to stay with you sibling until the end or not missing your flight."
Pros: "Co-pilot who had to explain to passengers why so many flaws occurred in this flight, she tried to be humorous."
Cons: "Flight 1884 out of SFO was doomed from the beginning starting with a notice (thanks Kayak) via email that the flight would be 1 hour late. Then, the Departure board at the airport totally dropped the flight, Then (again thru Kayak) I read that the flight would NOT board in terminal 1, Gate 21, Domestic terminal, but ar gate A3 in the International terminal. We all had to exit domestic and go to international and again through TSA. Then the flight departed another 30 minutes late finally over 2 hours LATE! Upon arrival at Phoenix the plane taxied too far away from the exit ramp-another 40 minutes before we could depart. It was an awful flight experience. Did they offer a free soda or anything for inconvenience we experienced-NOT A THING!"

Cons: "I had to change my destination no fault of Frontier. My problem is trying to get a refund for extra sitting and baggage I paid for in advance. I don't expect to get a refund on the flight it was cheap enough and this was a return flight. I tried to cancel flight but the hassle wasn't worth it. If I get a refund and can update this I will."

Cons: "I didn't like how I was lured by low prices only to find out I have to pay for a carry on. $60!! How dare you have this hidden charges, I fly all the time and have NEVER paid for a carry on. I will never fly frontier again."

Cons: "So here's the deal. I knew a decent amount about Frontier going into this flight, but seeing it with your own eyes is shocking. They basically exist to charge passengers extra money at the last minute. Combine all the unpleasantness of other airlines in one, and that's what you get. As an engineer, I appreciate innovating to bring down prices, but that is not what's happening here. It's a case study in forcing people to accept the lowest common denominator in the broken system that is air travel. I would strongly encourage you to spend the extra $$$ to do a united or similar flight, you'll feel it initially, but when you're not stuck in some derelict corner of LaGaurdia asking yourself why you cheaped out you'll be thankful."

Pros: "I got to my destination an hour late, but they did keep us informed of what was happening."
Cons: "while the cost of the flight was the least expensive, You need to pay close attention to the baggage policy. when I went to check in online, it was $40 for a carry on bag (laptop and purse that can sit below your seat are free). $35 for a checked bag, so to check one bag and carry on one it was an additional $75. For a weekend where you don't need any suitcase, it might be a good option, for a week or two stay you will end up spending a lot on baggage and there won't be any savings."

Cons: "Very uncomfortable seats, the check in process online is very misleading prompting you to buy an actual seat. Clever and mischievous marketing. If everyone realized you could check in without buying a seat what would Frontier do. They would probably stick it to you somewhere else in the process. The flight crew however was fantastic."

Cons: "Paying for a carry on seems excessive, but if the tickets are so cheap I guess they get the money back somewhere. And since when do you have to pay for a drink on a plane? Maybe I just haven't flown in a while, but that seemed really stupid. Not to mention that frontier "new" seats are extremely uncomfortable, sint have a screen or anything in them. It's all very minimal. You get what you pay for I suppose. Had I known, I would've spent a little more with someone else."
