Cons: "For some reason, we were asked several times for Passports. This didn’t make any sense since we are US citizens with drivers license. They even had TSA talk to us. This has to be fixed. Otherwise, Delta experience was great."

I fly with American (because many booking agencies use them) I achieved status after years of their cruel methods of forcing us to check our instruments, thinking “FINALLY, I can board without being hassled about my instrument coming onboard with me.” Nope!! They fight me every time, as if I’m some guy going on vacation and bringing my beater guitar to play on the beach. They holler every time, “SIR YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO CHECK THAT” $6,000 worth of equipment to make space for someone’s socks. (?!?!) Today, I boarded TWO delta flights and was told, “see if it fits... if not, we can gate check it for you...” YES!!! That’s all I ask!!! Just let me TRY first! If it doesn’t fit, THEN I can’t complain! Anyway, sorry for the saga! I just want to say THANK YOU! I had peace of mind ALL day! Keep up the great work! Your staff is outstanding!!"

Cons: "AA needs to standardize their WiFi. Sometimes it is boingo, GoGo, or Panasonic or something other. Each has a different way of logging in. It is way too complicated. Sometimes you can watch on the iPad in a browser, other times you need a flash player or the AA app. Have a common way of at least accessing the internet, otherwise it can take 10 minutes to log in if switching from a GoGo yo Panasonic service. It is just too difficult and buggy. I am glad I don’t actually pay for the internet."

Cons: "Due to a computer malfunction we were stuck on the tarmac for some time, when it was decided to find a new gate to return to. /The tech crew eventually gave the all clear and upon returning to the tarmac, the same computer malfunction occurred, and again we had to return to the gate. This was all totaled 2.5 hours on the Tarmac. Finally, some 5 hours late we departed Miami in a different plane. Upon arrival in Phoenix, the captain wearily announced that there was no ground crew awaiting us, so we had to wait some time on the tarmac there to disembark. Never before had I heard a airline captain encourage the passengers to write a letter of complaint to his employer."

Also, they messed up with food order, but after some time they managed to bring suitable food from business class. Some of the staff was unfriendly and whining. And our party of three was scattered around the plane, other families sitting nearby too. A little bit greedy company selling seat selection option when they could arrangeit nicely, but just don’t do it in order to get few people to pay for otherwise normal thing."

WiFi did not work well, and there were no individual screens on the backs of the seats. The First Class on this plane was really bad and needs some rethinking by American."

Result was a dead sprint to Charleston gate where no attempt to hold the plane for those passengers. Also, a black, middle-aged woman with short hair working the ticket counter had the personality of a piece of cardboard with zero responsiveness. AA should reconsider who it places to interact with the general public."

Cons: "My seat belt and my neighbor's seat belt didn't stay tightened. Luckily there was no need for a seat belt, but we were very concerned. We were wondering if all the seat belts on the plane were the same. They could never hold you in with even slight turbulence."

Cons: "The Washington airport is horrible. The gate we left from was not a gate but a series of doors that buses came to. This wouldn't be so bad if they were able to handle it in an orderly way, but the airport showed complete incompetence in organizing anything and there were people everywhere trying to find the right door which kept changing on them, and the times kept changing...it was a mess. Then, when we finally got on the plane and were about to take off, the air traffic control tower called and said that their flight path was incorrect and to not take off...but didn't give them a new flight path for nearly two hours as we sat on the runway. Nationalize the airports in DC, fire the whole lot and start fresh, I'd say."

They have 3 different economy packages and the economy basic doesn't get refunds and you can't change the flights if needed. It feels like they are banking on increasing there ROI with this basic economy ticket which is 40 -60 dollars cheaper than the next economy package. Intuitively they know people will pick that, but if something comes up the customer is screwed."

He was so big he was in my space and had didn't make any effort to try not to spill over in my area. I had to put a magazine next to my thigh because his body was so hot it was damp! I hated the entire trip. I was cramped up and extremely uncomfortable. This is simply unacceptable to have this happen because huge people can't fit in one seat. I want these obese people to be required to purchase 2 seats because they take mine."

It has been an unsuccessful flight. Almost cancelled and wMechanical delay in fargo caused me to miss my connecting flight to Eugene by 5 minutes. Got to Denver airport asked the gate guy to call my connecting flight to see if they could hold the door for me, he said you got 10 mins go. I run 30 gates and the door just closed. Cons: "Flight was at 0700. Delayed until 0831 then 0900. Then we were taxi-ing for an hour. Didn't depart until a little after 1000."

Cons: "No one could get their story straight and actually lied! I was sent a text (I was already at the airport) that the flight would be delayed due to "aircraft maintenance". Not true in the least bit. Then when we finally landed in Denver (nearly every person on that flight missed their connecting flights) we were told the system said the delay was "due to weather". Another lie. Then they announced there would be gate agents to meet us when we got off the plane to assist with connecting flights. First gate agent said "I have no information you have to go to gate 56". The person at gate 56 said "I don't open for another 15 minutes so you have to go to gate 39"! The real story? They made us change gates 5 times in Fargo! The gate attendant was using the "F-bomb"! It wasn't aircraft maintenance or the weather. They couldn't get the walkway to work! In the end, we still left from the original gate and had to walk outside on the tarmac to board the plane. Why didn't they just opt for that to begin with and avoid all the missed flights? My measly voucher isn't nearly enough compensation and if United ever expects me to fly with them again I am expecting a full refund (as other passengers received- I witnessed the manager in Denver authorize a full refund for another passenger but only offered me $50)"

Cons: "I flew round trip to Bangkok from Chicago last year for $460. Why does one way from Fargo N.D. To Green Bay, WI cost $480?! My flight said it was late on the screen (6:40) but actually flew on time. I think a kid missed his flight because of it. My connecting flight in Chicago was way too tight because of a LONG delay waiting to unboard. Had to run, yes run through ORD to get to terminal 2 from 1 within minutes to catch my flight. It was too stressfu and expensive."

Disgusted is the only word I can use to describe my experience. Save the hassle, use southwest even if it costs more."

No notification was given until over 45 of waiting, the pilot said he did not know why we were delayed. They also made me check in a bag which was small enough for a carry on. Pros: "I thought the newer model 737 with the ambient lighting and redesigned overhead compartments gives the plane a less claustrophobic feel. The pilots did a great job navigating through potential turbulence and the flight crew was attentive and on point. A better experience than the crew on the flight from Seattle to Houston four days before. It is my understanding that Continental crews remained intact upon the merge and my assumption was this was a Continental crew versus the United crew that was not as good."
Cons: "The boarding process with the arbitrary assignment of boarding group 5 giving us no chance to bring our one bag on the plane. There is no real enforcement of the carton policies of these airlines which makes it frustrating for those who follow the rule only to be punished and forced to check the bag and go through baggage claim."
