I like the variety of food choices and some of the dishes were delicious (salmon and rice). The seats are pretty comfortable. They aren't great for sleeping in, but the flight was decently quiet and dark for some time. I would recommend bringing a pair of earplugs and a neck pillow."

Pros: "With Japan Airlines, there is never a doubt in my mind they are going to be the best airline of choice. I was running late to my flight into Haneda to fly out to Singapore. I literally arrived to the front desk 15 minutes before the plane departed. The ladies at the front desk were very aware of my urgency and walked me threw the crew line and got me to my gate without a missed flight. I cannot thank you enough for the kind and generous work you do."

Pros: "I had only 30 minutes transaction time at Busan airport, and was not sure that I could catch my plane. The crew at the airport were very helpful, and a lady brought me to the security gate, and run out and checking in for me. With their help, I was able to catch the planes and arrived my destination on schedule. Thank you so much."

Pros: "We had a 4 hour delay due to maintenance, so many of us missed connecting flights in Tokyo. But the airline put us up in a hotel and gave us meals, so I had a nice bonus day to see the city. The flight itself was very pleasant, with the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen on a long flight and plenty of food and drink."

Pros: "I liked that the seats were a 2-4-2 configuration. Most American carriers will have a 3-5-3 seating configuration. JAL has won some prestigious seat awards in 2015 for innovation and comfort."
Cons: "The JAL website specified most trans-atlantic flights with the newer and more spacious seating in Premium Economy. Departing from San Diego, this was only an option once a year I was told at the check in counter. I was counting on extra width and legroom as I am 270 lbs and 73" tall. I was disappointed that these up-gradable seats were not available. I also did not like that we sat on the Oksaka tarmac at a divert airport from Narita (Tokyo) and were not given an option to leave the plane and find alternate transportation of our choice to get us to our destination. I understand the high winds and bad weather was not allowing us to land on time, but we sat on the tarmac for 2 1/2 hours and then left to fly into Narita 5 hours late."

The food and beverage options were comparable to most airlines like Delta, United, etc, but presentation was better so they get style points. Their wifi connectivity was far better than Gogo's services, which is the provider for most domestic airlines. The real improvement compared to most my travel was the level of service. The staff was incredibly attentive."

Also, when will one of these airlines start providing balanced meal options that are actually palatable. JAL's food was okay, but heavy on starches and fats with low quality protein or vegetables to accompany them."

Cons: "My husband and I sat in row 30 (center & aisle). I sat in the center. As soon as the plane took off, we all heard a dog bark nonstop. The lady directly in front of me had brought a dog!! We felt terrible for the person to the lady's left and right. And then in the middle of the flight her dog pooped all over the floor! And the poor Stewardess' (they were SO wonderful) had to clean up the mess. Then the lady had to clean up more pee and poop and left all that mess right in front of my feet and handbag (which I put under the seat)! I had to hold onto my handbag and shoes the entire trip bc it was touching the pile of dirty paper towels! I couldn't eat the meal due to the gross situation, and I was very upset about this situation all bc of this one lady who had no regard for the ppl around her and behind her! I don't know what your policies are concerning bringing a dog on a plane, but it ruined my flight. I love Korean Air, and love the service and the stewardess' professionalism and attentiveness, but this has made me think twice about flying anywhere on Korean Air!"

They were stacked side by side and did not have a "personal pod" formation which in my honest opinion is quite a waste of thousands of dollars you paid to travel. Additionally, the entertainment was just okay. There were not too many great options of movies and for the old plane, the screens were really bad."

Cons: "pet boarding --- there was a puppy on board who cried & cried. I am a dog lover. Please be mindful that, this flight from JFK, NY, to Seoul, Korea, was 13+ hours. I am very aware about the stress created upon pets from air travels. Yet, it is upon each pet owners to decide which pet might travel on board. This particular pet owner chose to let his/her pet cry out pet's stress + discomfort throughout the flight and annoy all passengers. Pet owner took no action, for example, gave no sedative to the pet or hold the pet to provide comfort or safety. I personally find such behavior irresponsible."

The one cup of juice (that was mostly ice) was barely enough to wash it down. Also, my disabled wife was not allowed to have the bulkhead seat because it had previously been assigned to a completely healthy child and mother. there should be some kind of priority system for those seats."

They had no free entertainment at all not even a movie for everyone on the main monitors. They asked for volunteers to check their bags and I volunteered and when I made a connecting flight to Kauai (final stop Oahu which is a 35 min flight) I tried to switch my flight to an earlier one because I realized That I had a four hour layover before my 35 min flight -_- and they said that I would have been able to but since I checked my carry on I couldn't. And they said it was because my bag would get there much later than me - which I was upset about but understood. Fast forward 4 1/2 hours later and I land on Oahu. My bag is sitting at the terminal because it came over on a plane that got there before me. Totally unhappy - I fly to California and back almost every month and I've never had an experience like this"

After repeated erroneous emails from HAL, the flight was actually scrubbed until HAL could get a crew and plane from Honolulu. The emails actually gave us new departure times that had already passed!) Thanks to some terrific work by the HAL gate crew, we were able to get seats on an Alaska flight. Five hours later than our original schedule but much better than our HAL schedule which finally left 7+ hours after schedule."

There was no compensation."

Cons: "Was not informed of a flight delay, representative at the gate was very unfriendly, seat was changed and was told choosing a seat online was only a courtesy, could not rent entertainment on the aircraft but was never told it had to be done at the gate, airplane seat did not recline. The worst flight I have been on in a long time."

Cons: "No free movies. Purchased earbuds had poor sound quality."

Pros: "staff were great and friendly and helpful"
Cons: "not a big deal but 2 things: 1) plane was a bit dirty in between the seats. 2) we also were in the terminal but getting food when we heard our names on the overhead pager saying they were going to close the gate in 5 minutes and if we didn't get on we'd be left behind. That was 30 minutes before take off that they were going to close the gate. We rushed over and ended up boarding and then waiting on the plane forever. not sure whey they need to get everyone on so early. I guess i'm used to flying southwest airlines where they let people run up 5 minutes before they close the gates."

Cons: "The seats are very squished together in economy class. I was very disappointed. I always ride economy but this flight (airline, crew, as accommodations) felt like a “cattle car”. The crew was professional but not friendly, warm, or welcoming. The leg room was limited - quite disappointed."

Cons: "We actually did not go directly to Marseille, but due to a delay, we missed our initial connection and had to take a flight from London to Frankfurt and then from Frankfurt to Marseille. The total trip was 24 hours long and exhausting."

Cons: "Tough time. British airways wasn’t very helpful. Once our gate was changed no one told us or gave new boarding pass. We did have 7 hours to figure it out. But a clue where to go would have been nice. Missed my connection. Shuttle and hotel was a mess. Got a few hours of sleep outside the airport. Maybe I’ll get to Los Angeles soon."

Pros: "That I got to London..."
Cons: "We were stuck on the plane for two hours because of engine issues, and there is no air in coach in their planes. It was 90 degrees in there! For two hours! The other classes had air and we had none, it was a health violation for sure."

Pros: "Plane was new and very comfortable. Smooth flight"
Cons: "Flight attendants had to serve food/drinks, which they did the entire flight (literally, drink service took 2 hours). People got drunk and super loud. We were late leaving London which isn’t an issue except the people at the BA desk were the least helpful. We found out more from the pilots than anyone in the airport."

Cons: "Overly focused on pre-birding security while handling it in a very amateur way in Bud. Water and Food service offered for lunch and then not even a glass of water for 8 hours. Poor entertainment options."

Pros: "Cabin crew were friendly, attentive and even observe passengers not getting good sleep. Their smiles made the trip a more pleasant one."
Cons: "Headrest... to nitpick, but that is probably a standard one. If headrest may be further adjusted to suit passengers of different height."

Pros: "The only positive is that you don't have to worry about missing your flight due to the fact LHR isn't in the Schengen zone so there's no hangup at passport control during your connection."
Cons: "From check-in to flight attendants snotty attitude and a bunch of control freaks. Service and amenities inferior to other airlines."

Cons: "I travel on Jet Aircraft every week, I'm also a part time pilot and work on aircraft ACMs (the bit that controls pressurization, heating and cooling). When the APU was switched on, the cabin was contaminated with gases from the engine bleed air and/or the APU. IT STANK. On the ground at JFK it happened again, one expects the slight ingestion of exhaust gases, but not in the air and not to this extent. BA is a good airline, I believe this was a maintenance oversight."

Pros: "Mediocre experience on the ground; much better in the air -- competent, pleasant cabin crew."
Cons: "It seems amazing to me that BA will leave 50 First and Business Class passengers standing in line while they pre-board "families with young children". Some of the families had children who were 7 or 8 years old and certainly had no need for pre-boarding; its just an opportunistic way of jumping the queue. Similarly, some of the "elderly" passengers who claim to need pre-boarding on departure spring to their feet and dash down the aisle on arrival. Air Canada boards Business Class first on this same route; I'm going to migrate back to them, as virtually everything else on the two flights is comparable."

Cons: "Food was not the best, the leg room was ridiculously small and the entertainment system had some issues, but all in was a nice trip"

Cons: "When trying to check in online the day prior, the British Airways system was unable to load my reservation. Upon arrival to the airport, the rather unambitious fellow at the check-in desk refused to look up my reservation and instead insisted that my flight was in fact through American Airlines. After waiting in yet another queue, I was sent back to British Airways, where it was confirmed that Iwas booked on the flight, but that it would be to late to check my suitcase. I am still at my city of origin in London as I write this review."

Cons: "Corralling people into shopping area by not disclosing gate assignment. Then corralling people into a boarding area where there is no access to bathroom facilities. Then boarding without any order except for some privileged passengers (first class, club members). Finally,not serving any soft drink or little snacks unless you pay for some overpriced stuff. This is a sure way to drive passengers away from BA towards no-frills discount airlines."

Cons: "1 hour delay on return journey on a packed flight, but at least that delay was in the airport and not sitting on a plane"

Cons: "It was August 18. They lost my baggage. Next day on Saturday at 3 pm I had a wedding and I was a wittness.In the baggage a had a dress for me and part of dress for the wedding's couple . They found my baggage on the 3th plane on the last minut. Terrible. And I had go for it by myself because LOT didnt want to send to me the courier. The fly was also 1 hour late"

Cons: "We were loaded onto a shuttle bus and then stood there (some sat, I could only stand...) for 10+ minutes until the last passenger arrived. Not sure what the airline could do differently there unless it's run a "late person shuttle," and from other passengers' remarks, this was unusual for this transfer."

Cons: "Unfortunately I am allergic to all the food they offered .I wish the served a plain chicken or plain turkey.Everything was spicy or mixed with a pesto or curry. They need to something that is served completely plain ."

Pros: "Boarded us pretty quickly at Heathrow"
Cons: "Crew was not polite and helpful during the leaky hydraulic pipe incident. Did not try to reassure or let people know what was going on. It was very hot at the rear of the plane, could not breath. They served the food slowly and portions were smaller than normal. Small and boring selection of movies this month."

Pros: "I fly a lot between North America and Southeast Asia (usually on SQ). My BA flight was a perfectly acceptable long distance flight for a song, so that its best aspect was the low price. It was much better than any US airline's flight to SE Asia that I have been on from time to time, and was a solid B to B+ against the standard SQ A to A-. I flew from Singapore to Charlotte with no issues, then returned two days after their IT disaster in a half empty airplane. I expect they continue to discount while they try to rebuild their brand, so I suspect this kind of flight stays quite a good value for the next year or so."
Cons: "I ordered vegan meals. The dinner on the way back to SIN was fine, but the veggie breakfast was absolutely pathetic. Most of the vegetarian food was okay."
