Cons: "I had a carry-on sized bag which would have fit in the overhead compartment. I was told that it would not fit the Swiss Air compartment, thus was forced to check it at the gate. I expressed my concern that it would get lost (thus the reason I never opt to check bags) and was assured "They are very efficient in Zurich." When we arrived in Madrid, my bag was not at the carousel. I was told at Customer Service that it was on another flight, but that they could deliver it to my Airbnb between 4-7 pm. I had to wait there instead of enjoying my vacation to wait for my bag. The bag did not arrive until 10:30 pm. I did not have my clothes or belongings with me all day. Swiss Air in particular needs to update their overhead compartment regulations, as my bag definitely would have fit there, and could have avoided this entire situations."

Pros: "The plane we were on between Zurich and Copenhagen was comfortable and modern for such a short trip. This was a stark contrast to the old SAS airplane we flew in the opposite direction as a Swiss flight. The staff on the plane were friendly and helpful."

We tried to hold this flight (the return flight that we had paid for in our round trip ticket) but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that they had sold our seats. We had to pay $250 USD to fly standby (and "reissue" the tickets that we had already paid for) on a flight that was oversold by at least 6, and we heard other passengers also being told their tickets were sold. Their customer service for the ticket change and the phone calls made before hand where they promised to hold our tickets, were so disappointing, it was like dealing with any US based airline. We won't be flying with them again."

Pros: "I bought 2 tikets from Chicago to oscow and back for me and for my son. I live in USA, son lived in Russia but he received immigration visa and I had plan fly to USA with him. From Chicago I used my ticket and say SWISS staff what my son will have trip only from Moscow. I paid for 2 tickets around $1700. Today when we should have trip back to USA, SWISS company said what ticket for my son do not exsist. And I spent for new ticket 220000 rubles about $3600. Nobody in SWISS company do not said me what my tocket for son canceled. I am shoked !!!"

Cons: "There is little that can be done to make a long haul flight comfortable when a baby is screaming and crying for it's entire duration. Its behaviour cannot be helped. But it certainly didn't make the flight comfortable, nor did the young child kicking incessantly at the back of my and my daughter's seats. This could have occurred on any flight, but it didn't contribute to having a positive experience on this one. The flight attendant serving breakfast completely ignored that fact that I was awake and strolled past without asking if I would like anything as meals were being served. I informed another flight attendant that we hadn't been offered breakfast and she was able to provide us with meals. Besides this the cabin crew were courteous and pleasant. I've flown with Swiss on other occasions and have had better experiences. I'd like to think this was just a one off and not representative of the level of service that Swiss normally provides."

After 45 minutes the crew had reached its hours and couldn't complete the flight with no replacement crew in sight. Plane was debarked new flight was rescheduled 4 hours later. Had to go through security a second time after ticket was reissued. This flight was also delayed 45 minutes. Getting to Copenhagen spent an extra 1 and a half in the airport dealing with lost baggage because it seems the 8 hours extra I spent in Frankfurt wasn't enough for them to transfer my bags."

The third piece of luggage was three and a half days late. Which is was are Christmas presents were delivered late afternoon. There wasn’t any compensation for the inconvenience of having to change of plans of staying around the house waiting for luggage when we paid for hotel rooms and we didn’t get a refund on our trip we couldn’t take. When we knew flights from Frankfurt to München ran daily. Very disappointed. Byron becker we flew from Florida Orlando fo Munich Germany and paid a high price for traveling. Also we were bumped three times fro, Frankfurt to. Much each time on standby. Very disappointed. Sorry but this is the truth."

Pros: "I liked the ability to have some air circulation, which was not offered in the first flight, so that was nice. The ride was smooth, quick, and mostly comfortable, although I did wish I could have a little more elbow room. There was no entertainment, but that was also fine because the flight was fairly short. Overall, I don’t have any complaints."

The mother had to stand up for some time to have the child curl up and lie in a comfortable position - the attendant rudely commanded her to sit down and strap the child to the seat, instead of finding out how they could help. She could have achieved it with a better attitude and choice of words. The crew did not bother beyond the bare minimum - it was painful to observe."

The food was poor and the service was worse- i pressed my call button for a drink mid-flight and it kept getting cancelled without a steward coming. Finally, after pressing the call button about 10 times a steward came and begrudgingly brought me a drink. Choice of movies was poor."

The boarding was confusing and disorganized to the point the boarding agent was not sure which gate handled which group ( they use 2 for these big planes)and kept calling out the wrong information. Passengers could not believe it. Tight seats for an overseas flight."

The plane did not have private screens, only access to personal devices, but it was difficult to keep my device charged to watch a full movie. With an 11 hour flight, that was definitely disappointing."

If you are priority boarding, please stand her. After that, if you are business class, please stand here. Everyone else, please wait, but know that we will start to board from the back of the plane. Only coffee, tea and water are free. - Was thinking of upgrading because I had one extra baggage, but was told that I still wouldn't be eligible for one free extra baggage if I upgraded to SAS Plus NOR SAS Business - There was only one option for dinner, which was Meatballs. The meatballs were worse than IKEA ones. I'd rather eat the IKEA meatballs than those. I usually finish my main meal and I didn't eat it because it was that bad."

Cons: "Our flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues on the plane, and we were not rescheduled for another flight until 28 hours after our original flight on a different airline. Our final destination was not the same since the flight was rescheduled to depart Washington so much later, and SAS had terrible customer service in trying to change the second connecting flight to Berlin instead of Hamburg. We talked to 5 different representatives from the airline before someone would accept responsibility and take action instead of passing it off to someone else/ another company."

Cons: "Once I landed in Nice, my luggage didn't make it. Since I was in Monaco, I didn't get my luggage for 3 days with no extra clothes to wear. I called to complain and to see if I can get a voucher at least on future trips. I was given a number and when I called it they told me to email my complaint instead. I emailed and got a generic reply saying my email was received and no follow-up. Then I needed to change my return trip because of a last minute emergency. We called SAS and they told us we bought our tickets through a 3rd party and they couldn't tell us who it was. We figured out who they were and was told by this third party that they would have to charge us a minimum of $450 to change the ticket by them, and possibly more by SAS for the price difference. It didn't make any sense to me as to why an airline or a third party would rather waster a ticket since I wasn't able to leave on that day than to try to accommodate us fairly. I don't know who is going to read this email or if it is even going to to the right person. In the slight possibility it does, I would really like an answer to some of my complaints. The flight was good and so was the crew, it is the extra stuff I described above I have an issue with. I travel a lot for work and it would be sad if I had to no longer use your airline because of bad customer service."

The lack of information on passport policies from kayak have made me disappointed on this company and I will not be using it or recommending it in the future. I had to spent over 300$ in hotels and gas to get to Miami to obtain a new passport."

When I booked my flights to Spain the website should have alerted me that I needed a passport with an expiration date of over 3 months. Kayak should have information on travel policies to the countries they offered flights to."

We were put up in a hotel but upon landing in Rome, we opted to wait at the airport in lieu of the second hotel because of the timing as we had to catch a 6 a.m. train to get to Livorno to meet the Ship, it's first stop. Up for 36 hrs as we got little sleep, and were very tired."

Although we were forced to check our bag, there was plenty of room on the flight in the overhead bins. Some were actually empty."

Pros: "Food was ok and they were pretty generous with the alcohol which I needed since the guy in front of me had a seat which allowed him to lean almost all the way back. He ignored several of my comments and none of the staff had anything to say about this even though it was pretty obvious."
Cons: "Too cramped.The guy in front of me was laying in my lap the whole trip I have short legs and my legs were hitting the seat in front. Flight left late causing problem all along the way i.e. lost luggage for three days. Nobody was particularly helpful or knew what was going on. I had to make several calls just to have somebody find the luggage. We had to go all over the place just to find somebody to give us new connecting flights. The airport there is a disorganized mess which is beyond words. Nobody wanted to take responsibility for the loss between British air and Aer Lingus and my impression over the phone was that nobody cared one wit what happened."
