Pros: "Boarding was crazy and confusing. Ground crew poor communication and rude"

Cons: "Individual space was tight made worse by some inconsiderate people who put their seats as far back as possible. This should be regulated."

Pros: "Nothing in particular stands out about our flight. We've flown many airlines, Aeroflot, British Air, Delta, Iceland Air and KLM recently. Lufthansa was right in there with the middlet of the pack, with the exception of Iceland Air, which would be at the bottom, but they make no pretenses. The seats, even in the basic economy, which we had,reclined and were comfortable; good legroom. Food and drink offerings were standard. Amounts were small, but everything was the right temperature. Restrooms were clean and well equipped. Movie offerings, not many newer releases. Nothing like Sky news, so you couldn't check weather or current events. Crew was courteous and attentive,"
Cons: "Boarding at Frankfort left much to be desired. First off, the equipment was not ready; we waited 45 min. to board after we got to the gate (early) and due to turbulence over the Atlantic, the pilots could not make up the time. We are senior citizens. We, along with about 25 others in our category, responded to the call for us to get in line to board, stand for 30 min. The gate personnel did not provide any information that boarding was NOT imminent at that point, so you had to stand up to keep your place. Finally, once the boarding for people needing assistance began, we got to choose between using 2 flights of stairs (a faster way to get into the plane) or an elevator to board the plane. (Hello! We have trouble with things like stairs; don't you know that?) The elevator accommodated one wheelchair and 2 or 3 people at a time. More waiting in the jetway to get down to the plane! The whole boarding process took 90 min. from the time we stood up to the time they closed the doors. Bad grades for the the cleaning crew making us wait so long, for the gate personnel for keeping us in the dark and the disorganized process boarding. Nobody cared about our discomfort, not what we would have expected from LH. Consequently, we've revised our opinion of Luthansa. Maybe next time we'll take BA."

People in front of us were rude and kept their seats back the entire flight, even after we nicely asked them to not have the seats back so far. Would prefer that seats did not move at all. I would never recline my seat in consideration for the person behind me. On an 11 hour flight, this is a big deal."

They than reclined the seat back and my seat was broken do I asked them to put the seat forward and they ignored me. I informed the cabin crew that they weren't being considerate after all I gave up my seat to them. The cabin crew told me I could leave my 4 yest old and 3 year old alone and move to a new seat."

Lufthansa held our plane due to their error in some runway and docking issues and we, as well as 25 other were escorted to our connection by Lufthansa staff. Excellent customer service even though it was their fault. They just did the right thing and did it well."

Pros: "After so many domestic flights of being shuffled around and interacting with flight attendants that seem to not like their jobs much and passenger's are just an annoyance, flying abroad on Luftansa was quite a different experience! The flight attendants were polished, professional, and actually wanted to provide a service. Their interactions made me feel like I was cared about and that they wanted my unique needs to be met. This made a 10 hour flight an enjoyable experience which I certainly didn't anticipate."

Pros: "We were in an empty Plus cabin at front. Coming from Miami, the hot towel service would have been nice. I blinked and missed the service. They will quickly skip you if they can. Food weird. Salmon in a box with no bread or rice or anything and a strange savory muffin. Ate neither. No entertainment."

Crew was very affable and helpful."

The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

Lady at the boarding gate tried to help and finally managed to send me and my bag in the same flight. Even bigger disappointment was that I booked a business class seat and paid three times more money then a normal economy ticket, there wasn't any business class seat and all seats were occupied in the front rows. Staff was generally rude and not willing to help."

Cons: "The chairs, for whatever reason, after just not that comfortable. Too squishy and they make noise when you adjust your position. I fidget a lot on flights so I felt like I was making a lot of noise. Also the plane didn't have cold air, do you get toasty pretty quick."

We were 50 minutes late leaving. This resulted in many of us either missing or having extremely tight (stressful) connections at CDG Paris."

These are NORMAL seats and you charge an extra €30? - Normal (2 seats per row!): what a bargain. Same crappy seats, but two people instead of three! This is really worth my money. - Upgrade to business! Why are you so poor! AF food went from being the best in international flights to disgusting microwave food (especially vegetarian)."

Cons: "We had a 9 hour delay overnight in the Oslo Airport where there was no explanation as to why. Technical difficulties isn't a clear explanation and 9 hours of technical difficulties, which also happened to earlier Oslo flights and would happen to Copenhagen and Glasgow flights the next day, is more than a technical difficulty. It is a breakdown of a plane or several in an overbooked and maxed out fleet that is overburdened, so call it that and be clear. There was far too small compensation (a $10US meal voucher in Oslo buys you nothing and the further $20 for what amounts to a night on the floor is pretty poor) for this very significant delay as well. The airline did not apologise or offer anything for this significant inconvenience to its customers. I was actually in better shape than most because I had purposely planned a longer layover in Reykjavik, but did not get to use to see some sights, because of this. Just know that this is a risk with Icelandair before making plans."

I thought the airline should have given everyone a free dinner due to such lousy service at the gate. I would highly recommend that your executives take a plane ride in economy. It may open your eyes!"
Cons: "We had a two hour delay before leaving in Oslo. We walked into the most chaotic scene i've ever experienced at a terminal. Despite having a two hour window, nothing had been done to prepare for all the people arriving and needing to connect. There were no lines, no signs, no people to tell us where to go or how to board. It was a big fat mess! There was no time to go to the restroom, get something (less expensive) to eat or take with us. Very poorly handled. Once on board the plane, the very least that should have been done as to give everyone a free dinner. If we hadn't had such a nice flight attendant I would be requesting reimbursement for the meal we had to buy on the plane. I don't know if we will fly with you again. The seats are tiny, no snacks provided, and not a very good food menu."

This is especially unacceptable and inconsiderate considering that due to the airline's carelessness passengers who had a connecting flight (same airline) arrived to the layover later than scheduled with only 30 mins to spare we had no time to pick up food. Only to use the restroom. So my boyfriend and I were forced to spend ~$12 on a soggy ham and cheese "baguette" and pringles on the flight. Service and attentiveness was subpar. Landing was disastrous and would have been traumatizing if it was my first time flying. I along with surrounding passengers nearly jolted out of our seats and had to brace ourselves as the wheels bounced off the ground trying to graze the pavement."

This was 1 of the 2 worst flights that I have ever been on, only second to my other booked flight for this trip home. This flight was 7+ hours long and it was nothing short of horrible. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and barely went back at all. The male flight attendant was clearly annoyed and was short with every person who would ask for anything. He would roll his eyes at every request by customers. At one point I saw him literally toss a sandwich into a customers lap because they were turned the other way and didn't hear him when he asked if they wanted one. There was no way to watch anything unless you had your own device and had downloaded it yourself prior to the flight."

I was able to eat basic carbohydrates but no protein sources other than the almonds I always travel with. When paying $1000 for a flight I should be able to sit with my husband and eat some food. Also the TV screens are very difficult to use, not responsive to touch."
