Someone rebooked my Alaska flight to a much later Delta flight. Now I am sitting at the Seattle airport after a long international flight and have to wait another 4 hours even though I would have been able to catch my initial flight
I'm tall and the seats do not have a headrest so its hard to get comfortable. Staff and checking were all great.
Don’t cancel the flight, had to spend a whole day sitting in the airport.
The flight attendant was very rude when I boarded. He expressed how he couldn't understand how I was able to bring two "oversized" bags onto the plane and "just this once" he would allow me to try to get my soft-sided duffle bag in the overhead compartment. These two oversized bags consisted of a roller computer bag that is small enough to fit under the seat of a small regional jet and a soft-sided duffle bag with a removal wheels system. Prior to the pandemic, I traveled for work twice a week. I suffer from neck and upper back issues and because of that, I researched carry-on luggage, looking for the smallest carry-on that would fit my needs, a 17" "under the seat" roller bag. How on earth is a bag, small enough to fit under the seat considered OVERSIZED? Then when I asked for an explanation, as I like to be an educated traveler, he got very indigent and "passed me off" to someone else to talk to me. The explanation I was given was it had to do with the wheels and the size of the luggage is not taken into consideration, REALLY? No one, in the general public would automatically understand that the presence of wheels on a piece of luggage would throw it in the Oversized" category and for the Alaska staff to not have the ability to make a logical decision and think for themselves to offer a reasonable level of customer service speaks to the culture of the company and where Alaska places customer service in their priorities. Your c-suite should spend a day with the Nordstrom's and learn a thing or two about creating a culture of reasonable and responsible customer service.
Shari, flight attendant was impatient and rude. I am a seasoned traveler and I know how passengers should be treated. We were boarding with family and we were trying to figure out our seat assignment and instead of lending us a helping hand she yelled at us and embarrassed us. We were literally there for less than 30 seconds and she made quite the show about us getting out of the isle instead of asking if we need assistance. I could not believe how rude she was. My husband and children were with me and can attest to her rudeness. After she yell at us to "get out of the isle, she literally went the opposite direction of the people boarding, towards the front of the plane and held up the flow of boarding herself. I think she has an attitude problem which needs to be addressed. It takes a lot to make me mad, I am a very peaceful person and because of her rudeness, I was upset. That is not the way passengers should be treated,
I liked that I arrived safety to Seattle then Honolulu . However, flight was delayed twice in Pasco. I still had to pay for checked in bag. My bag was lost and shown "still on counter at Seattle." I didn't get my bag until 8/2/24 in the evening when I arrived on 8/1/24. Terrible experience .
Alaska crew was so friendly and made the trip great.
I was happy with my whole experience, and it was a smooth flight. Thank you
Checking in was very easy. Boarding and the flights went smoothly.
Kind of a long flight to not have TVs on the plane in my opinion
Our flight was delayed several Times due to mechanical issues. Although I understand this may happen at times, it was very inconvenient and we had to book a hotel for an overnight stay. We were traveling with my 3-yo grandson and waiting at the airport from noon until 6:30pm with no reassurance that our next rescheduled flight would depart, we had to decide what’s best for him. A day later, I found out that I may be able to demand compensation if my flight is delayed more than 4 hours. I will hav to read the fine print next time.
Very comfortable seating and the Flight staff were very attentive. The premium economy section that I was seated in was very clean, updated, and well appointed. I would highly recommend flying United Airlines as this experience was better than the Japan Airlines business class that I flew several months ago.
United needs to step up their game. Delayed flight leaving Seattle, San Francisco. Older aircraft, not very comfortable.
Had to cancel first flight because Airporter Bus took over 3 hrs to get to airport which resulted in an extra $378 dollar fare . Is there anyway I can be reimbursed for initial fare since it was not my fault? Sent from my iPhone EJ Ledet
Delayed by 2.5hrs any longer and they would’ve had to honour their own policy for breaking their own rules and regs. Not cool, especially when I have an infant child that needs to stay on a routine and they get schedules.
They had three choices for snacks - but you could only have one - and they ran out of the dark chocolate before they made it all the way down the aisle... Packed flight - limited service.
They opened my checked bag and even though my lock was tsa approved, they loose my lock and left my bag just like that. Incompetent people, very upset about it. I’ll try to avoid traveling with united
We fly to Ecuador frequently. Checking in is usually a hassle because most United agents take some time before they can verify that my passport doesn't require a visa to Ecuador. This time the process was even longer due to the cyber attack. But she was really nice to us. So glad we brought plenty of snacks to supplement the 3 flights from SEA to GYE.
We had selected seats in the app that were a 2x2 format in the middle of the plane. Our seats when we got on the plane had been moved to the back rows in a 3x1 format. What’s the point of paying up for tickets that allow seat selection if the airline will just change them?
By in large it was a good experience. The flight crew was great and that's the most important to me. Boarding was fine.
