Cons: "Even though we had booked this flight in September we were never able to choose a seat for this flight. We kept trying and the only way we could pick a seat months and weeks ahead was if we bought an upgrade. We had already spent over $1000 to fly to Paris each and did not want to buy an upgrade. We just wanted the assignment of a seat. When we got closer to the date we were told that we would get a seat assignment at check in. At check in we were told we would get a seat assignment at the airport. At the airport we were told we would get a seat assignment at the GATE! At the GATE the attendant had difficulty finding our seats and finally found them with the help of another attendant. This adding extreme stress to a trip that was planned in September and should have been a pleasureable experience. Our seats were not together and we then had to go on the plane and ask other travelers to change their seats in order to be near each other. This was not our job! We ended up near each other but not together. Then when we arrived in Paris we noticed that our suitcases had been tagged STAND BY!!!!!! We were glad that we did not see that at the Philadelphia airport because it would have added even more stress to a long anticipated pleasure trip to Paris. Next time we will make sure that the tickets we are purchasing (FINNAIR) have nothing to do with American Airlines."
Cons: "Don't understand why they do not open to get the seat until 36 hours ago. Our family of 4 got scattered all over; the agent was not at all helpful -- they seemed bitter about their working condition and the fact that they had to deal with dissatisfied customers. I talked to the supervisor and we were finally able to sit together just because a party of 4 did not show up. I am not at all happy with the AA for their stupid rule."
Pros: "Flight attendant , i dont her but she was sweet and attentive."
Cons: "The leg room was really tight even for short person"
Cons: "Seats given away that we selected six months ago even though we checked in days early. Four family members all over plane."
Pros: "It was a pleasant flight, easy boarding, crew friendly."
Pros: "Movies Food Comfortable seating"
Cons: "Going through security"
Pros: "comfortable seats, meal was better than expected, in flight entertainment was good"
Cons: "it's absurd to have to pay like $70 more for window seats"
Cons: "We paid extra for seat selection which was supposed to be a window seat and ended up in middle seat... not acceptable..."
Pros: "it was fine"
Pros: "The flight crew were professional and friendly."
Cons: "the seats are too small and cramped. I am quite small and I felt cramped. I feel on long flights there should be more leg room"
Cons: "Entertainment system is very old, but have a good selection."
Pros: "the flight was very comfortable"
Pros: "The crew was just fantastic. ...."
Cons: "I request special meal. ..unfortunately was not provided to me."
Pros: "Crew got into the Christmas spirit"
Cons: "Audio sockets had "scratchy" sound quality, no matter which headphones were employed Touch screens were very unresponsive and viewing listings was infuriatingly slow - I would prefer to use a simple list without pics"
Pros: "The entertainment and service was the only plus on this flight."
Cons: "When I booked my ticket a month in advance, British Airways was going to charge me extra for trying to book my seating in advance. They told me it would be free if I called 24hrs before the flight. I called 24hrs before and they told me they could not book my seats because the airport owned the seating. My first flight was with American Airlines, they gave me a boarding pass, however for my leg with British Airways, I had to go get ANOTHER boarding pass to board the flight. This airline was very inconvenient and I felt scammed booking with them. I would not recommend this airline to anyone!"
Cons: "Trying to get through airport security was an unorganized clown show with them herding groups of passengers back and forth between airport terminals resulting in many people almost missing their flights because the lines just weren't moving. Once on the airplane, the international flight had TVs in the ceiling in the row playing one in-flight movie (what is this 1995?). American is such a terrible airline. The old US airways, Lufthansa, and British Airways, are way better international flights every time I've flown with them. Personal entertainment at your seat for each flight (i thought this was standard on all international flights in the past like 10 years) and more food and drinks throughout the flight."
Pros: "Great crew. Lots of refreshments."
Pros: "Crew was nice and boarding was on time"
Cons: "entertainment on the A330 is so sluggish people think the screen is not working correctly pushing harder and harder on the screen making it uncomfortable for the people in front of them. Food is as usual: Not very healthy and always the same."
Pros: "The crew was friendly and very accommodating. Inflight entertainment had many choices, had a wonderful relaxing time. The food was not too good but then again it's airplane food. Overall, recommend the experience."
Pros: "I got me where i needed to go. The food was okay."
Cons: "Lost luggage, poor seats, poor entertainment."
Pros: "Accuracy Staff Serving"
Cons: "My name was wrongly written on the passanger list."
Pros: "B.787 flight operated by BA; free wine, great food and IFE."
Cons: "Seating now so cramped it's becoming dangerous."
Cons: "When I got to Phl I missed my connection to London. No one seemed to care that I needed to be in England by the 18th. They kept retorting me to arrive in England on the 19th. I told them multiple times Id be flexible and go to any city in the UK just for them to get me there on the 18th. The First person I talked to said it was impossible. So I called again and talked to another person and all of a sudden it was possible. The worst part was they sent me to Boston after that I didn't get to Boston until 1:50 am and they did not compensate with hotel or anything while my flight to London was not until 8:00 am the next morning. So I spent the night in the airport. Oh and then when I finally got to London, my bag is lost and they told me I'd have it by tomorrow and I still do not have my bag and have called and they said they can't tell me anything."
Pros: "Flight attendants were very helpful and joyful. Food wasn't too bad for airplane food! :-)"
Cons: "I find it appalling that there is a charge for seat selection. Please add 10 cents to the price of a ticket and do away with the seat charge. It would buy you loyality."
