Pros: "My first and last time flying Delta! Everything that could have went wrong, did in fact go wrong. We were re-booked on connecting flights different then the one we originally booked and weren't even notified. They have a Delta app, but it doesn't even work right. Unless you physically go to the gate to check to see if the flight is on time, that is the only was to find out if you are re-booked onto a different flight or not. I have never flown an airline that re-books you on a different flight when they feel like it. I wouldn't recommend Delta Airlines to my worse enemy!"

For the first flight, I was given a seat as they were getting ready to close the doors and was never called. I didn't buy tickets or check in late. They were asking for volunteers to give up their seats, but it sure looked like they were getting ready to "volunteer" me. When I buy tickets with a layover too, I'm assuming that I'll get from A to B and not gambling that I'll be stuck in the middle due to airline overselling."

The plane is cramped and the seats are extremely narrow and uncomfortable, and I'm not a big guy. Felt bad for some of the people around me who were much taller or wider. Delta scheduled a lot of short connections and many people left the plane at a sprint to make their next flight."

I don't know if it's because the hub is in Minnesota or because we were all coming back from a relaxing vacay in paradise, but it was the friendliest flight I have been on in a long time."

I wasn't a huge fan of having to pay for my actual seat after purchasing (and spending a decent chunk of change) on my actual ticket, and the fact that there were no free snacks, but after being able to get the seatbelt to fit, I was so happy that I didn't need snacks :)"

Cons: "No one at desk for check in, then when boarding there was a man standing in the aisle that would not allow me to pass, I had an infant in my arms but he refused to move even after multiple requests. I had to squeeze past him. When plane was fully boarded he started to vomit. He vomited multiple times before we started moving. Steward asked him if he was okay to fly and he did not answer, just nodded a bit. He continued to vomit, was unable to use the bag properly, he appeared highly intoxicated. He vomited into the aisle and all over our shoes and pant legs and carry on bags. We told the stewards who went and grabbed a package of paper towels and shoved them at us. They moved the passengers on the other side of him up to the front of the plane but said nothing to us. No one apologized. Twice we were told our baby was the baby of the year but that was the only remark."

With my dependent military ID, the Sun Country representative allowed my bag to be a couple of pounds overweight without charging me extra. I could have taken things out to hand carry, but this was so appreciated, as I know it's not the standard practice without the active duty sponsor accompanying me. I spoke with a couple of other fliers on our seats who were also flying Sun Country for the first time. We all agreed that all the representatives were polite. It made the experience good and we all agreed we would fly with them again."

Cons: "On the return flight (out of their hub airport!), their online system failed so it didn't capture that we had prepaid both our checked bags nor our seat selection. When we arrived at the ticketing counter they were essentially accusational about the issue. We showed the confirmation page on our cell phone and even logged into our mobile banking app to show them and still had to argue about paying again. On top of that, they acknowledged the system was having issues and would do absolutely nothing to help us get seats together (my husband and I), let alone anywhere near what we had selected during the online check-in process (we paid extra for an aisle and middle towards the front of the plane, and they gave us two middle seats in the back of the cabin). There were four empty seats in first class, and they wouldn't even bump up a frequent flyer to give us seats together in coach. Not once did anyone apologize, ask how they could help, or just try to be helpful. Both "managers" were clearly poorly trained in handling these situations and defensive and dismissive (walking away while we were speaking). They didn't even offer a free meal voucher. Nothing was done to help rectify the situation. It was honestly shocking how terrible of an experience it was - no indication that they felt we were a paying customer. There were so many little things they could have done even without changing our seats that would have made the situation better. I will never fly this airline again, out of principle, and will absolutely share my experience with everyone I know. If someone from Sun Country reads this, the managers' names are Oniekey Brown and Jolynn Carpenter. I would suggest your management chain have a conversation with both of them and highly suggest training."

Cons: "The flight got delayed by over 4 hours without explaination as to why. There was no one to ask at the counter. When I called the number they said the wait time was 30 mins to speak with a Rep. As I was waiting and automated system started talking, saying the reason you have a longer wait than expected time is because Sun Country is trying to incorporate new innovations. You're reaction might be it's crazy and you're right it is. After all this I waited quietly the rest of the evening. Came time for on boarding, the team was highly UNTRAINED. I watched them switched TWO mothers with infants from line tonline multiple times the lines got out of control people were literally jumping lines. No sense of leadership nor organization. Literally take this as a warning from someone who has had multiple bad experiences with the same airlines in the last year and half. I am done with Sun Country!"

Cons: "THe movie players were sold out both legs of my international flight, with kids. The second leg we were in the 9Th row and they were already out. SEems like a simple fix."

Cons: "The flight from SFO to MSP was delayed due to weather. The ticket agent told me that I would miss the connection to Miami, but that they would put me on another flight that day. When I arrived at MSP, I discovered that I was the only passenger to MIA who had not been re-routed and that the next flight on Sun Country to Miami was four days later. The gate agent at MSP sat me aside while all other passengers who missed connections to other destinations were re-ticketed. After that process, the gate agent made several calls and eventually, refunded my fare on Sun Country. At that point, the only other direct flight from MSP on any airline (and the only other flight that would arrive at MIA at a reasonable hour) was leaving in approximately one hour. I was able to purchase the last seat on that Delta flight for about double the amount of my Sun Country ticket. I then had to go find my bag that was checked to MIA, change terminals, purchase the ticket, negotiate my way through security and run to the gate to barely make the flight. This was my first flight on Sun Country and probably my last. The incompetence of the SFO ticket agent caused a significant disruption to my travel experience and resulted in a significant financial penalty for me because of the ticket price differential between my original Sun Country fare and the last minute Delta purchase. I have been flying for many years and this was, by far, my worst flight experience ever."

Pros: "The crew is always pleasant(my fav of any airline because they are so nice and genuine, don't seem overburdened or like they hate their jobs), I love that there's seats open so it doesn't feel crowded(I know you don't want to hear that, I'm not likely to pay much more to keep it that way but I appreciate nonetheless) and that "media" is an option instead of a requirement(by not being in the back of the seat in front of me, but instead as a device). I travel for work, and I REALLY appreciate the moment to unplug. I've been traveling with you exclusively for my last 5 trips and I will continue to do so. Thanks for being low-cost and awesome at the same time!"

I have a soy allergy(so I can't have things like mayo, most breads or most salad dressings-so simpler food is better), but I also appreciate healthier types of foods. Grilled chicken sandwiches with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions or turkey sandwich with the same(but dressings on the side). Most importantly, breads without soy products would be awesome :)"

When we were boarding, the attendant said there was a problem and told us to step over to the desk. They printed new boarding passes with seats 24A and B. No explanation. We were happier with the first seats. 2. The onflight safety information stunk. The non-visual recording was blasting our eardrums and went On and On and On and On... The instructions for what to do if you have an infant, in an emergency was simply ludicrous. You need to provide a video with very clear and concise instructions as other airlines do. That works very well."

I understand that things happen, but most of the problems today seem to have been preventable. First, our plane in Lihue was delayed for over 3 hours because they could not get a working fuel truck to fill the plane. Three hours? This caused us to miss our connection in LA, although just barely. We had to wait onboard so that we could use the same gate that our outgoing plane was departing from. If we had just been sent to a different gate we. Oils have made our original flight. So, they put us on a flight to Chicago because there were no more flights to Minneapolis. Then, once in Chicago the incoming plane was delayed and we sat on the tarmac for 40 minutes before deplaning. Then after an hour delay we were told the crew was on the ground and we were boarded. Sat in the plane for another hour, then we’re told we were still waiting for crew members that were delayed so we deplaned again. Another 90 minutes past and we got back on the plane and sat for another 45 minutes. We are finally pulling away from the gate. Hallelujah!"

Cons: "After having my flight delayed 4 hours causing me to miss my connection, I was placed stand by on a different flight through another city so I could try and make it home on time. I was the first person in line for stand by, but the flight was full so I knew it was a long shot. Waiting at the gate, I was excited because one person didn't show and they were giving him a two minute wait time before I could board. During this wait time a woman passenger came over and said she had just been given a ticket change at the gate counter. The agent at the gate was furious because the flight was sold out and said the woman should not have received a ticket, but should have been placed on stand by. She went over and scolded the other agent for this mistake. Okay, so she should've been placed on STAND BY behind me in line. After the unprofessional arguing between the two agents, they both admitted it was a mistake and she should be second in line for stand by, BUT they did not honor this and placed her on the plane bumping me. Needless to say, I missed my connecting flight because of this and extremely inconvenienced my family and in addition had to pay an extra 75 dollars out of my pocket to keep my dogs at their kennel an extra night because I arrived home 5 hours after expected. I understand that flights end up getting delayed and the agents are doing the best they can to accommodate travelers, but admitting a mistake and not fixing it to make it right is unacceptable. I notified American Airlines of my situation and only received a form letter with enough miles to get me 1/8 of a flight. I don't even care about the miles because I don't plan to ever fly with them again, I want the money for the dog kennel I had to pay extra. I was visiting my husband who serves in the US Army causing separation from our family for long periods of time and this extra headache and expense due to the mistake of American Airlines was disheartening."

Ours were off by a few inches too big. I didnt know until I was boarding that my bag was too big along with my wife and had to pay an extra $200 to have the bags checked. $200!!!!!!!!!! They said they made an announcement but between phone calls and bathroom i missed it. Who would have thought that our bags would not fit. On the return flight I went on-line to pay for the same baggage and it cost me $50 each or another $100$300 total which was more that the flight cost was. A complete rip-off. Cons: "Terrible customer service- there was no one at the desk to check in at Boston Logan. I was in a line of about 5 people, and after 20 minutes a group of employees finally shuffled out and one of them was still eating food out of a cup while "getting ready to open", as he told us. He was inconsiderate and rude when telling me he wouldn't check my bag early, and also informed me with a smirk that my flight was delayed 3 hours as well. No explanation. The rest of the customer service I experienced from the gate attendants and flight attendants was apathy at best- a far cry from the service I've received with many other airlines. My flight home was delayed an additional hour, and upon boarding we found out this was due to "our plane" being used for a different flight. I guess I didn't think that a smaller airline would have so many issues, but I was disappointed almost every step of the way. The website had multiple issues while I tried to navigate the process of adding a suitcase & choosing a seat, and I wasn't able to get my boarding pass printed at home and had to sign back in twice because there were website errors. We landed a half hour early on the way to Boston, but had to sit on the tarmac for exactly a half hour because there are only two Spirit gates. Once landed, we also waited a half hour for our bags at the carousel. Maybe one of these things would go wrong with another airline, but I've never had so many in one trip. I had heard some negative reviews about the airline, and thought I'd give it a shot, but never again. I'd rather pay more money up front and fly with Delta than be miserable the entire time I'm en route somewhere."

Cons: "The flight was supposed to be at 9:30am- we got a phone call at 4:30am telling us it was cancelled because of weather. I checked both the weather in Minneapolis and Chicago and both were clear and sunny. So of course I called them to ask what was up and was put on the phone with some poor outsourced person who had no idea which way was up and kept repeating everything on his screen despite it making no sense. He offered to put me on the next plane out but that wasn't until the next day. As I was flying up for a wedding this clearly wouldn't work. I then asked to speak to a manager but apparently no manager was available. He ended up refunding me for the flight and telling me a manager would call me back. When the manager called me back it really got interesting. She said the same thing he did "a weather advisory grounded the plane" when pressed on what the weather advisory was she eventually said Winter Storm Celine. IN JULY!! A winter storm advisory for a storm that occurred in late March was apparently grounding my flight in July! Absolutely incredible. After that I just walked away. Took my refund and ran as fast as I could away from that miserable excuse for a company."

Cons: "Spirit nonstop flight 616 from BOS to MSP on Tuesday July 26 was delayed for 4 hours due to mechanical problems with the plane, which was at BWI trying to depart for Minneapolis. Customers in Boston had to wait for it to be repaired in Baltimore and then flown to Minneapolis and THEN come back to Boston to pick up passengers. Scheduled departure was 7:42pm which got delayed four hours to 11:42pm resulting in a 2:20am arrival at MSP. Problem: At no time was this four hour delay announced over the loudspeakers to those waiting in the gate area, nor were there any options announced for those who could have returned home and flown the next day. Spirit did send email or text updates, but for those customers without cell phones or service, there was nothing. If I'd known, I could have gotten a good night's sleep at home and flown out the next day. Instead, it was four hours of tired adults and children waiting while restaurants and shops closed down with no updates announced. I don't mind the 'no frills' style, but Spirit"

That model may work for some.. but selling the fact that they are cheap and then being forced to pay for every little thing is enough for me to say never again. After it was all said and done.. the price was double what the tickets were.. when I got done with all the extras."

We were finally on board by 3:30 (departure time) but the pilot blamed it on getting the paperwork late, and said we now had to wait for fuel. During that time, a couple storms moved in, and we ended up sitting on the tarmac for over an hour. It's one thing to be late, but it was a pretty pathetic attempt to divert blame to the crew at the airport."

Cons: "A lot of extra cost with Spirit which you don't see when you book with sites like Kayak. Spirit charges for seats if you want to select one and charges for every bag, including carry ons."

SO, not only did everyone have to get off the plane after waiting 30 minutes AFTER we were supposed to take off, wait 60 minutes in the terminal, re-board the plane, wait another 20 minutes for the stragglers to make it back, then do some more waiting in line to take off. Overall, I was over 2 hours late to my destination. With minimal percentage of battery left on my phone, I was lucky to be able to arrange a ride to my home. This is after being hassled about having a plastic bag of food just bought in the terminal, in addition to the ONE bag to travel with. I don't mind the un-reclining seats, but the leg room was very minimal. Especially for someone over 5'6" tall, much less someone of my height."

Cons: "I missed my flight because of the LA traffic, I had a funeral to go to th next day, and they weren't helping me in anyway to get a new ticket or to get me on the next flight. I had a buy a ticket for the next flight from Sun Country. I wouldn't believe how rude spirit was with there customer service. They didn't even ask me for a refund."

Cons: "I purchases a round trip ticket from mpls mn to Chicago, the exact same ticket both ways that included one personal bag for storage under the seat. On my trip to Chicago I was allowed entrance into my flight with my bag fitting the criteria without any extra charge. upon entrance to the plane from Chicago to Minneapolis carrying the SAME bag, I was stopped and told I had to pay 100 dollars to bring my bag on the flight. I informed them it had fit under my seat on the flight to Chicago, it was the same bag other spirit employees had allowed on the plane 4 days earlier... I was told I had no choice, but to pay... I had to get home, so I begrudgingly did, but this 100 dollars was an insane charge for any bag that could fit in above head storage let alone under my seat which it did... I feel swindled."
