They announced this and gave the other passengers the opportunity to walk to an area to watch the very solemn ceremony. It was all done with respect and handled timely. The flight still left as scheduled and arrived on time. Not that this was the most important part. Even if it had caused me to miss my connecting flight, the ceremony for the fallen hero was more important."

Cons: "When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."

We had to pay $280 to rent a car and I drove all night and went straight to work without even going home to shower or get ready or anything. My 4 and a half year old son had to endure the whole thing too."

The front desk agents at the United Club in EWR were aggressively officious with a lot of the guests that day as well. Overall, customer service was very poor, even though the attendant on the flight were quite nice to me and gave me great service."

Cons: "as short as the flight was, there were a few disturbances. first, the two kids behind me were off the wall. it wasn't a baby crying, they had to be 5 and 7 just screaming and being so loud when their parents just laughed. at 8pm It would have been nice for a crew to quiet them down. second, there was a disturbance by a woman who had to be escorted off the plane which caused us to sit not knowing anything going on for the extra 20 minutes on the runway. I'm so glad they got her off for our safety but we were in the dark about the situation. And United, you need to up your snacks."

My seat was so uncomfortable my legs actually went numb, mainly for the fact that I couldn’t move because of how tight the seats were. Pros: "RDU to EWR was fine, but the return flight was way oversold, and we didn't even get seat assignments until it was time to board. I purchased our tickets months ago, checked in 24 hrs before, and did not check bags, but we still had to stand online and keep reminding the gate agents that we did not have seats and that my three year-old had a car seat that needed to go in a window seat. Once on board, the first clas flight attendant was awesome! She helped us fix a seating nightmare (agent had given my 3 y/o a seat by himself) and came back to coach during the flight to give my son some wings and to just check on us. She and our safe arrival are the only aspects of the entire experience that deserve any stars whatsoever."

Cons: "3hr delay. railroaded the people on once flight arrived... upleasant experience all around starting with the $45 charge for carry on luggage and extra cost for printing boarding ticket. you get what you pay for..."

Cons: "I was in line at Myrtle Beach International and was late for my flight home due to a cancelled flight before. By the time I was at the front desk and checked in, I was notified that final call has passed, which I still had 25 minutes till departure. Being informed, and losing my $200 ticket, I was forced to buy another $200 ticket for the next day. Only to find out after I left the airport that my original flight was delayed 45 mins, which would have given me plenty of time to reach my ordinal flight. So I spent $400 in 2 days to get home and was never refunded or reimbursed for my missed flight."

Pros: "The flight attendant, Karen, was very good. Didn't interact with any of the other attendants."
Cons: "The seats are terrible (even after paying extra), there is a charge for everything (even carry on bags and snacks), no room for arms or adjusting in your seat."

Pros: "the flight was on time, even early. It was also mostly smooth, and the crew was good. Also the extra fee for the Big Seat was the best purchase I made."
Cons: "I get annoyed at all the extra fees. I understand what you are trying to accomplish, and I don't discredit you for that. But I think you could back off of it a little. As I mentioned in a previous survey, I think charging for a soda is a bit over the top."

Cons: "They cancelled my flight because they decided to down size the plane. As a result I had to wait 9 hours at LGA airport for no good reason. This cost me to loose an entire day of my 3 day trip and inconvenienced me terribly. I'm not even sure I want to use the free voucher they gave me as conciliation since I now know you can never count on arriving at your destination any time close to the scheduled time,"
