Pros: "It was 8 hours late!!!! There was hundreds of people stranded at the Dhaka airport; elderly kids!!! The airline or the airport had no information on why there was this horrendous delay. No announcement- Nothing. I’ll never take Turkish Airlines again in my life."
Cons: "Some kind of announcement would’ve been helpful. There customer service: hire some people who at least knows and acknowledges that there is a delay."
Pros: "Food, service"
Cons: "Boarding delay"
Cons: "Connecting flight From plane to the gates"
Pros: "On time, friendly, good food"
Cons: "The Attention is not as good as it was 4 years ago, the food terrible. And last but not least many luggage didn’t arrived."
Pros: "The friendly people and the ease of flying alone so far away."
Cons: "Had to stay overnight in the lounge zone. Hotel inside the airport wasn’t available. Outside you have to spend sometime at the multiple lines, buy visa, get the voucher, take the shuttle bus... By the time you done with that, it’s time to come back. Didn’t expect that for the business class ticket holders."
Pros: "Variety of entertainment available"
Pros: "Like the personalized service and the extend that the crew spends time serving each meal."
Cons: "The first drink service after offering juice/water needs to be better. They put up bottles but do not go to customers checking for drinks. Due to delay in takeoff we were sitting on tarmac for 40 mins. I saw people being served but several people did not. Should make the process more formal. Also serving nuts or pretzels to go with the first drink would be nice."
Pros: "Food, clean washrooms, attentive flight crew"
Cons: "Seats could be little wider"
Pros: "Got ticket for a good price."
Cons: "Took them too long to pick up the trash ..."
Pros: "On-time departure. very polite and friendly staff and we got there fast!"
Pros: "Airplane crew was amazingly friendly and helpful"
Cons: "The customer service in Istanbul airport (for Turkish Airlines) did not speak or understand English at all. She could not give us any helpful information of our flight"
Pros: "Crew and in flight meal and refreshment services were great."
Cons: "Wifi was ineffective for most of the flight. Difficult to sign on using Android phone and unable to achieve full wifi web-browsing once activated. Charged full fee for very minimal access. One hour of access cost is almost as much as full flight access so it drives you to the higher cost option. On demand movies and music were fine. Economy seating is a tight fit but not unexpected."
Pros: "The best airline to Europe! Period! Boing in the new 777 and has very comfortable seats with plenty of room for your feet even in economy class. Huge number of movies and TV shows. The food is excellent. Only missing part is to have some candies or chocolates for the 13 hour trip for San Francisco to Istanbul. You can not beat their price. Crew is very friendly and helpful at the same time. Slippers and socks they give you in economy class + cotton blanket of course make you feel you are 1st class traveler. What else? You name it and it is there. Will fly again with Turkish airlines."
Cons: "bus service to the plane"
Pros: "Trip from Istanbul was On Time. As a Disabled Person, I was picked up at the baggage ticket counter and expedited through. It was excellent service in Istanbul for me. The plane experience was smooth, with wonderful entertainment on your personal screen with excellent movie, news and music offerings. The crew was wonderful, friendly, smiling and accommodating. No charge on alcoholic drinks! Food was great. Flight was good. At Houston, the assistants for Disabled Persons was wonderful, accompanying me up until I was dropped at Shuttle service to my car. Turkish airlines really impressed me and would use them anytime."
Cons: "In Istanbul, I had to walk from the gate entrance to the plane. Took me 10 minutes to walk the plank, struggling, but no one offered me a wheelchair or assistance. In Istanbul, there was a considerable amount of people waiting to check bags but there were no agents at 2 counters and it really bothered the people waiting and waiting for them to show up. Then the baggage loading track stopped and it stopped all the traffic for a while. Inconveniences but, nevertheless, it affected the travelers anxiety."
Pros: "On both flights: -Friendly crew -Flights left and arrived on time -Clean cabin"
Cons: "On both flights: -Cabin was a little too warm, don't like that you can't control temperature at your seat -Only 3 rounds of beverages were served for a 9.5 and 10.5 hour flights- that is less than one drink per every 3 hours and I was very thirsty. It is annoying to have to get up to ask for additional beverages. - Good was ok overall, but better on Istanbul to Boston than Boston to Istanbul"
Cons: "everything planes were gross and not cleaned in between flights stewardesses were rude and unhelpful food gross passengers were treated like cattle most of the announcements were not even made in english"
Cons: "Flight attendants need to be friendly ."
Pros: "Everything was superior from A to Z there is no room for complains"
Pros: "Interior of the plane"
Pros: "All of it best flying experience to date"
Pros: "The flight was smooth"
Cons: "They had rotten food and didn't even tell us when serving would begin. Also they lost our luggage in spite of having our tag #. How does an airline not put a tag on a bag and give a bagage tag to a customer. ?? And after going on a cruise with one Carry on and everything Lost they don't even give us an allowance or a normal kit for toiletries and no one answers our questions. All the calls go to the call center that has no idea about how to track a bag. There are no managers to help and the customer service stinks"
Pros: "I had a most pleasant experience flying from New York, NY to Kiev, Ukraine. Everything about the service was just right. Thank you for your kindness and attention to detail. From now on I will only fly Turkish Airlines when going to Kiev."
Pros: "The food was delicious."
Cons: "The wait times were ridiculous and always off schedule. From the beginning of the trio to the end of the trio there was consitency in going off schedule and being forced to stand in lines for hours. I would not fly Turkish again."
Pros: "Short flight with no issues."
Cons: "No problems--everything average."
Cons: "Everything was high level"
Pros: "Average good service, food"
Cons: "Entertainment. Poor movie choice, headphones not good"
Cons: "One of our suitcases was lost. Well, fine, it happened. From Kyiv we went to Georgia for a week. In one or two days we received a text to come get it in the Batumi airport. We came there - nothing. Then next text - come get it in two days. When it finally arrived - it was torn. I don't know who to blame in the first wrong text, I don't know why and how the suitcase was lost, I don't know who torn it, but in general it was all very wrong and inefficient."
Cons: "We landed into Ataturk airport while a coup was going on! And no one from Turkish Airlines was anywhere to be found for the next 16 hours."
Pros: "Low prices & generally good service and entertainment"
Cons: "This airline used to be excellent. Now, the prices have been going up and the standards down. Service not as good, food not as tasty, plentiful and varied, crew not as warm and attentive. Instabul airport was the usual chaos, which does not add to the experience for transfers. Also: boarding started late and of course was not done and time and since we lost our slot we were further delayed taking off. That made the transfer time even less and the situation more stressful."
Pros: "The cabin crew were super friendly, attentive, and accommodating on our flight. Upon boarding the flight, pillows, blankets, and earbuds were awaiting us on our seats. During the flight, the crew handed out Turkish delights, lemon-scented hot towels, and sleep-care bag full of goodies (like ear plugs, slippers, etc.). The entertainment system had quite a selection of music, TV shows, movies, and games! Though it's always uncomfortable sitting on a plane for an international flight, I felt our Economy seats had a little more legroom than most, and there was definitely a lot of stuff to do on the plane if you didn't want to sleep."
Cons: "The second meal I had, eggplant pasta, tasted terrible along with the beans. The only redeeming factor was the yogurt! In addition, the A/C was surprisingly on low, and for the first time, I became hot on the flight - not that I really minded. It was just a different experience. We also took off an hour after we boarded, which I thought was strange."
Cons: "boarding was horrible of both legs of my Turkish Airline. The Istanbul Airport is a total disaster and dysfunctional. Experience delays in both baggage and flights."
Pros: "Comfort, good quality meal, on time"
Pros: "The extra security measure at IST gave us peace of mind given the travel warning the US had used involving Turkey. Second, the quality and quantity of food was fantastic and more than we've ever experienced in any airline."
Cons: "There was a large group of young people who were disruptive the entire flight from Istanbul to Chicago. It did not appear that their adult chaperones were doing anything to control them, nor did we see the flight crew intervene."
Pros: "Staff are very friendly and deliver very good service. Refilling of water could be better. Seat was very comfortable and it comfortable for sleeping when it is flat. The seat cover improves sleeping quality. Dinner was well prepared and tasty. Skip the fried eggs for breakfast - it is great that they offer them, but they don't come out well."
Cons: "Entwrtainment Audio was noisy"
Pros: "Food and entertaiment. Crew was very good."
Cons: "No leg room for people 6 feet and taller."
Pros: "Great food,wine and snacks!"
Pros: "The crew was amazing! The entertainment was awesome and got me through the 12 hour plane ride just fine. Best airline I've been on this far."
Cons: "I come from a poor background and it's sad to see that in order to have first class it'll cost you more than what I make in almost 5-6 months just to have a little more comfort... I'm not a big fan of the comfort side of the plane. You only go back so far and if you have a middle seat like I did you have to try in sleep in an upright position practically looking forward. Extremely difficult and really uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the Cafine drinks and entertainment I would of probably gone crazy. Metaphorically speaking."
Pros: "Liked everything about the airline - great service."
