Eventualy she is changing his reservation as well and puts him on the same flight as me. -waiting for the confirmation email, of course the reservation is just for me, no husband anywere. -called the third time, a nice canadian gentelman informs us that the second flights was canceled so he will redirect us via NJ instead of Washington. -we are rushing to the Richmond airport to catch the NY flight, at the counter they let us know that this flights was canceled and we are back on the DC flight. -when ready to board in the DC flight they are announcing the this flights is delayed from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm due to weather conditions. -waiting in the line to be rebooked in another flight, after 3 h of waiting they decide they can fly to DC at 4:45 pm, with about 15 people on board."

I work up with a notification that my flight time had been moved up 2.5 hours ( a problem as I live 2.5 hours away from the airport) I called and they said it was a mistake that I was good to take the origional flight. A few hours later I get a phone call from united asking if I could be at the airport 2.5 hours early. I said unfortunately no because I had already spoken to someone from united and they had reassumed me that the origional flight was still good. She then said if I couldn't make it early it was no problem. So I get to the airport at the origional time after speaking to two different agents who told me this was ok to find the plane delayed and causing me to miss my missed connection."

Cons: "United rerouted us and added another leg to our trip. We never flew Richmond to Denver. We ended up going Richmond -> Chicago -> Denver -> Santa Barbara. This caused us to miss a post-wedding brunch with family that we're only able to see about once every three years. All this after changing our flight out to the east coast the day of the flight (my 8:55pm flight was changed to 5:23pm, and I was notified after 3pm - meaning I had to run out of work early, costing me money, run home to pack, and rush to the airport, only to wait 3 hours for a now delayed flight). The also added another leg to that trip as well (at 3pm, day of). This was a red-eye flight and the last thing we wanted to do was get on and off the plane all night. I will not be flying with United after this trip."

Cons: "First, they charged 50$ (!!!) for each check in bag while most airlines charge 25$. That is double! And for a domestic flight!! To top that, no one at the check in counter had told us that skateboards are not allowed on board (even though they saw us with it). We arrived at the gate, about to board the flight and a second before getting on the plane, we were told that we could not go on with the skate board. All this is while we see people take in strollers that are far bigger than a simple board with wheels. They claimed that it's a "weapon". It is as much a weapon as a stroller. They made us pay additional 65$ (!!!) just to throw it inthe bells with no wrapping or bag, and to sign a liability release so if it will break we wouldn't be able to sue. We felt completely ripped off! The only other option according to them was to pack it and board the next flight (of course this was a non- refundable flight). To top everything off- the airplane was old, they sold one seat to oversized people in a way that it was impossible to have your iwnspace and they didn't even serve water in a 3.5 hiur flight. It was a horrible experience and we wouldn't recommend spirit airlines to anyone ever. We ended up paying an extra 165$!!!"

Pros: "I almost swore off Spirit a few years ago, after terrible customer service and unclean planes etc. This trip has made me reconsider. The crew was the best asset. They were entertaining, so pleasant, joking and engaging with customers all while being professional and efficient. Better service than the "premier" airlines that I have recently flown. We were more inclined to order drinks and food onboard because we were in good spirits and felt that we didn't need to wait until touchdown to allow vacation to begin. Thank you for a great experience (it was the same crew for both legs)"
Cons: "Bummer that the seats don't recline (but for short flights, not terribly bad) We had a layover on both legs of the trip, however were unaware that we would not be switching planes. We had to choose to run off the aircraft to grab a sandwich etc vs waiting 3 more hours to eat. When we decided there was enough time, we made no stops, walked off the plane and to the first food booth we saw, and we walked back to the gate and sat to eat our food. Only after watching someone else run onto the jet bridge, did I ask the gate attendant (who was 5 steps away from me) if we needed to board. She casually said "oh yea, we're going to close the gate in 2 minutes" !!! there was no overhead page/announcement/ or her asking if we were on that flight (when she had seen us de-plane and ask her directions, and could tell on her flight logs that some people were still to board). We were super lucky not to miss that flight and I wish we felt that she was working in our best interest. --This was the only lacking part of our flight. --maybe on boarding tickets, you could ** and state that both legs are on the same aircraft? So we could plan ahead? -- perhaps train gate attendants to page prior to gates closing if not all passengers are on board (like all other airlines do) Thank you for considering changes and feedback"

Cons: "I waited at the airport all day for the flight to get delayed twice and then put back on schedule and then get canceled two hours before its supposed to take off. Then I had to wait in a very long line to be able to get a refund for my flight. I am very disappointed because I couldn't get a new flight because outgoing flights were $1,000+. I will not ever book with spirit again."
Cons: "Was not aware of the fact that I would have to pay $55 to carry a bag on. I checked my bag for $50 (because it was cheaper) but had to retrieve it after the first leg, pay ANOTHER $50 and then go through security again. Major pain in the but that was not presented when booking."

Cons: "But, that said, a little drink and snack could hardly cost that much more. The cost of this flight was not so cheap to support the "no frills" business model. Cost of baggage was unreasonably high and paying for seats is not exactly customer friendly. Maybe that just offsets the cost of those who get the $49 fares??"

Cons: "Gate changed and delays were not announced to keep us informed. Communication with passengers helps us decide if we have time to go to the restroom, buy something to eat and call our friends or family who are picking us up. Please try harder to do this."

Employees could not assure that we would get a flight the next day. Had to cancel/refund our flight. They did not even offer to pay for our hotel that I had already paid for in new orleans, horrible customer service!"
Cons: "Conditions were cramped. Flight was about 20 minutes late taking off, which could have been airports fault but still had to sit on the plane an hour Flight was short so it wasn't a problem. Had no luggage so I can't speak on that"

Cons: "The flight was delayed for one hour because the plane had too much fuel so they wouldn't load anyone's checked bags. They boarded half of us, then made that announcement, then waited 20 minutes, then deplaned that half, waiting 20 more minutes, and then boarded everyone again who still wanted to go without their checked bags."
Pros: "The crew were as polite as possible considering they were uniformed about what the company's decisions were and the passengers taking out their frustrations on the only people they could actually talk to."
Cons: "This was the worst management of flight rescheduling I've ever experienced. Canceling and reassigning passengers due to poor weather is one thing but not being prepared to handle these transfers is just a reflection of poor organization and business practice. Never again will I be flying Spirit."

Cons: "Baggage fees! Flight delayed 4 hours on Christmas Eve due to "weather". Checked FAA. No weather issues anywhere. Called and was told my daughter would receive a voucher for the inconvenience. I instructed her to go to ticket counter to get voucher. No voucher was there. Rep had lied to me. Called back & supervisor pulled phone recording. An hour and a half ordeal. Ended up getting a $52 credit for the baggage fee my kid had paid. Missed midnight mass due to the delay. #sad-panda If you're able to get a super cheap fare, great. If it's over $20, and you're on a schedule, find another flight. my daughter is 5'2, 100#s. She had no leg room. 5'2!!! Keep that in mind as well. Good luck & safe travels!"

Pros: "On the way to mke they charged us 200$ for carry ons. On the way back, they cancelled our flight and refused to put us on another until 3 days later. They refunded us $350 and we had to pay another $500 to book another flight home. Horrible customer service. Kayak shoukd not work with them."
Pros: "This is by far the worst airline I've ever flown. I've flown several budget airlines throughout the world, and none of them nickel and dime you like spirit. Also, because it is such a discounted airline, the flight attendants and the gate Crew don't really seem to care about your comfort. The cost of food is ridiculous as is any in-flight entertainment. Not worth it unless you're only staying somewhere for 2 to 3 days and you don't have any bags to check."
