Cons: "Zone 5 boarding even after I had pre checked in online."
Cons: "This is my 4th time getting my flight cancelled with air Canada for no apparent reason. The food was horrible and the service was worse. Never again."
Pros: "Crew was very friendly."
Cons: "Having to pay for baggage on an international flight and no better snacks available without purchasing them."
Pros: "Nothing specific to the airline- I just liked the 9 hour flight trine instead of the 10-13 that I’ve been on to reach other parts of Asia l."
Cons: "I had a total of 4 Air Canada flights- various staff members on all flights were rude and uninviting. It’s not like my husband and I aided for anything when they were serving; they all seemed to be noted to hand you a beverage from their cart! Food was horrible- stereotypical airplane food and such a disappointment compared to some of the other flights with other airlines I’ve taken to various parts of Asia. Also, who charges for alchohol on an international flight?! They also don’t have entertainment systems on their flights- you need to download their app before take off so you have access to 5 crappy movies. Seriously, pay $100 more and go with someone else."
Pros: "Non eventful flight"
Cons: "We departed late"
Cons: "One hour late"
Pros: "The staff was outstanding - pleasant and efficient."
Cons: "Entertainment: movie selection very limited."
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Pros: "The crews were nice and the seats were comfortable"
Cons: "There were so much miscommunication. Coming from Hong Kong it was late for 3 hrs , then I need to pick up my luggages and went thru immigration. Missed the flight to Toronto, checked at the counter and was told did not need to pick up my luggage until I got to Atlanta. Well at Toronto, my luggages didn't go through. I had to pick them up and went thru immigration on the USA side again. Missed my flight again! It was so frustrating except all the employees were very nice and helpful."
Cons: "The flight was late."
Cons: "Air Canada is always late to board, take off, or to depart from the aircraft for the most random reasons. Every time I fly with apr Canada I can never depart or arrive in time; it's always a problem."
Cons: "Felt like a budget flight. We've flown air Canada in the past and this flight seemed like their low end fleet"
Pros: "The staff was helpful and courteous. I liked the tv selection especially the Canadian content."
Cons: "The flight was delayed because of electric problems. The complimentary snacks aren't as good as other airlines."
Pros: "Took off a bit late (40mins.) and we were anxious to get home! Other than that, no complaints!"
Pros: "Great films and entertainment."
Cons: "Crew could be more pleasant."
Cons: "THe food as usual on AC flights is only passable. . The warm rolls as advertised are ice cold. Some of your flight attendants can often be rude to customers and many could benefit from attending Weight Watchers as they can scarcely make it down the aisles and often bump into customers."
Pros: "Nice new plane Decent food Very clean Friendly staff Ok entertainment"
Cons: "People had a lot of bags, and their zone boarding concept means I got on last and little to no room for my one average carry on..."
Pros: "Flight delayed we wait 1:30 with 4 child and we were already there 5 hours before coming from miami and air canada do not offer anything for the delay"
Pros: "All was well. Thanks"
Pros: "The plane was nice and spacious. A CA agent stationed by customs helped about five of us get to the front of the line, so we'd make our next flight."
Cons: "1. After playing 20 questions at the check-in kiosk, it was unable to print our documents. 2. So we played 20 questions again and the second machine failed to check us in. 3. The flight was delayed about an hour (due to weather, not your fault), so our connection was tight. We alerted the agent at the gate (along with several others). She didn't help at all. She just told us to go to the gate. Well, we had to go through customs, so that wasn't helpful. What we were asking is if she could alert the gate agents at the next flight that we were running as fast as we could. 4. So five of us get to the next gate as they're paging us that the doors are closing. 5. Our bags didn't make the flight, which wasn't unexpected, but it was worrisome when the agent at our final destination told us she couldn't tell where they were."
Pros: "Departure was right on time. Arrival was right on time"
Cons: "Flight was a bit bouncy! Only got a free drink, no free snacks like pretzels or something."
Pros: "Smooth, great crew"
Cons: "Nothing, it was great"
Pros: "The in flight entertainment system was very good with movies on the back of the seat in front of you that you could choose from. The plane was pretty big and had decent legroom."
Cons: "They boarded late, and while there were free beverages offered no free food was given out at all."
Cons: "Not aconfortable plane"
Pros: "The crew was very friendly and attentive."
Cons: "flight attendant burned my stomach and belly ,she fck lazy gave me and put a broken cup of hot tea into another good cup instead of threw that broken cup away and should give me only one good tea cup , so the fluid drained out between two cup, and fck burned me . How the stupid she is !!! After that they didn't come to ask me anything until i come to show them and complained , and requested a report. I got a picture and all evidence to show .i swore that its fck hot and burned me too...ooo....bad !!"
Pros: "The one good thing about this flight was it wasn't fully booked, so I managed to get an entire row to myself, that and the food wasn't bad, and movie selection was alright."
Cons: "There were major delays taking off, and landing. I was supposed to have about a 3 hour layover in Toronto, due to multiple delays, flight plan changes, and mechanical failures I ended up getting booted from the 2nd leg of the flight, and having to spend an unanticipated night in Toronto. To begin, my 3pm flight from Seoul to Toronto was delayed to 6pm (the day before the flight was even scheduled, and for no apparent reason.) I wasn't even notified of this change, the only reason I found out was I tried checking in online the afternoon of the day before my flight (only because I remembered to do so myself, never received a check in reminder notice) and found out of the change. So my connecting flight had been bumped, and my ETA to my destination changed. This wasn't terrible, just an annoyance. Second, the flight was stuck at the departure gate for over an our. I'm not 100% sure why, however, after delay after delay, and then a flight plan change, we finally took off over an hour late, this too was was an annoyance, an nothing notable. It wasn't until we landed, where we were delayed on the tarmac for yet over another hour, due to mechanical issues that was the problem. We were stuck for about an hour (the pilot promising we'd be moving in "just 5 minutes", every 10-15 minutes) before the pilot decided to order buses to unload us, to then turn them away once they arrived so that way we could get towed to the gate. It then took an additional 40 minutes for the plane to get hitched, and towed to the gate. Once we arrived at the gate, I tried running through the airport to catch my connecting flight (which I had 10 minutes till boarding, and 40 minutes till departure) only to find out that I had been bumped from my connecting flight (despite having no checked baggage) and would have to stay the night in Toronto. Apparently this is not a rare occurrence for Air Canada to screw up flights. There were other people both on other original fights, as well as mine who were bumped from their connecting flights to various destinations, as well as having lost luggage. Again, individually these weren't exactly huge issues, collectively, they're the reason this has probably been my first and last time flying Air Canada."
Pros: "- plane had more legroom than the usual - plane left and landed on time, an always welcome outcome for an AC flight - in flight movie selection was good"
Cons: "- plane was overbooked, and boarding took a while - staff only offered drink refreshments (ex. coke, coffee, etc) once, rather than the usual twice. The other time they just came by with water, which the flight attendant accidentally over-poured and spilled some on the middle passenger between me and the attendant. Good thing it was only water... - more turbulence than usual, but out of the control of the pilot"
Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Cons: "Pearson airport transfer was hellish. I felt like I walked five miles between flights, and then had to go through the whole security process again, causing a missed second flight. This transfer of flights was not booked with sufficient time between them given the long distance walked and the slow security process. I will avoid this airport in the future"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Pros: "Had screens and movies available. Crew was nice and flight wasn't overly packed."
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Pros: "The seats had the entertainment screen."
Cons: "As the night flight, the lights could have been dimmer."
Pros: "We had to book our son on a flight from Phila to Toronto unexpectedly. We had lost our car keys in Canada and had no way to get new ones. (That's a long and complicated story.) our only option was to fly our son up with the spare key. Luckily he had just gotten his passport. He got a window seat and lived the adventure. The crew couldn't have been nicer."
Cons: "The last minute price if $1000 plus!!"
Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"
Cons: "Some crew members attitude... Really bad and unhelpful. Also whose idea was it to out the video controllers right where you rest your arm???"
Pros: "Super fast and easy process. Glad I flew air Canada"
Cons: "I had to pay for the food for my 4hr flight. It use to be that you were provided the food at no additional cost."
Cons: "The plain didn't have tv and bearly got drinks on the plain"
Pros: "More leg-room."
Cons: "Stewardesses were not as friendly or interactive with passengers; quite cold."
