Just before taxiing a man moved seats into the exit row seat next to me (not paying for it like I had) and was intrusive and sprawling out over into my space the entire very long flight. Cons: "Seats are too small. Very difficult to stand up and get out of your seat. Even young people have trouble getting up and out into the aisle. The aisle is TOO NARROW! At least one seat on each row should be eliminated, as well as one row to give economy class room. I was on the aisle (seat D), and was unlucky to have a woman and her husband (seats E & F) ask me to get up several times (because passenger in seat G was asleep). I was not at all happy with the movie choices; they were mostly modern and violent. Food selection was unavailable. Menu choices were chicken & fish. Chicken was NOT AVAILABLE."

They also brought him an activity book. I thought this was a lovely touch that helped keep my child entertained on our long flight. This was the day after the terrorist attacks in Belgium at the airport and metro, and the crew asked the person being escorted off the plane if he had taken all of his bags. If this person was a terrorist, do you really think he would just tell you if he left a bag of explosives on board?"

Turkish Air employees made the extra effort to print out a new one, but I was asked for "gifts" or "rhum" by 3 different Ivato police, baggage boys, etc."

I would not recommend flying into Istanbul as the airport seems to be very disorganized, and might not totally be the fault of the airline. We waited for 3 hours to get new boarding passes for a new flight and then after waiting 3 more hours in the hotel line, Turkish airlines said "we are out of hotels" and left a large number of customers stranded at the airport. When trying to get reimbursed for the hotel, the staff at the airport was clueless. I won't be flying Turkish Airlines again."

Cons: "By far Turkish Airlines has the least amount of leg room available on an international flight (coach class) that I've ever traveled . . . and I'm saying that as a career pilot. If you are over 6' tall, you will be in agony on any flight that crosses the pond (I traveled on their Airbus A330 and Boeing 737 . . . same story). My tailbone was pegged to the back of my seat, yet my knees were still smooshed into the seat in front of me. I was absolutely miserable. I ended up standing in the back next to the toilets for over 2.5 hours of the 10 hour flight because that was more comfortable than sitting in this cattle car."

I felt like I was being tortured and didn’t sleep at all and so slept when getting into Amsterdam rather than being able to explore the city. I was out $200 for the Airbnb (could’ve stayed in the airport cheaper) and $200 for a dinner cruise I slept through. NEVER AGAIN"

Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

UGGHHHHHH!! 7. I flew on an Airbus that didn't have plug in for your phones to charge (maybe that's just a Boeing thing)."
