Arriving transfer passengers must go through Turkish airport security. Turkish security did set up an operation right at the gate. This both expedited things and relieved the stress of going through the process far from the gate."
Cons: "Seat was very uncomfortable. The plane was an older Boeing 777 (it had no winglets) and I think the seat cushion was the original one. Turkish Airlines does not communicate with its passengers. If the flight is late (as both of ours were), you wait with no information as to when the flight leaves. The same lack of communication occurs once you on board. I joked to my wife that the cargo on a Fed-Ex flight is given more information."

Turkish Airline representatives looked clueless and did not provide information or even look concerned. That was the worst handled delay in my over 30 years of flying all over the world on any many carriers. Once we boarded, the flight went well from there."

Cons: "Compared to my flight from New York to Istanbul, my flight from Istanbul to New York was less wonderful. The crew was not as attentive and was not helpful in assisting the grandmother who was sitting next to me with her 2-year-old grandson who wanted to know if another seat was available. There was only once choice for the meals, which I found odd on a long international flight, but I did enjoy the meals. The plane was older than the one I took from New York and were less comfortable. I don't usually have a problem with legroom (I'm pretty average height at 5'5"), but the legroom on this flight was noticeably smaller."

When our flight was delayed and it was questionable whether we'd make our Lufthansa connection, there was a small bus with 2 Lufthansa crew members waiting for us on the ground - they escorted us through Customs and directly to the door of the airplane so that we'd make the flight. Service I have never gotten on an American airline!"

Cons: "1. The comfort in economy class was insulting and horrible. I am 6'3", 175lbs and was trapped in one uncompromisingly uncomfortable position for 8+ hours. Torture is a word that comes to mind. If I were a smaller sized person, 5'8" or less, perhaps this may be acceptable, but for anyone over 6'. forget it. You must pay loads extra to be given a respectable seat. I am hopeful that I don't develop a blood clot from this flight. This lack of room is a seriously dangerous situation for many people on long-distance flights. 2. The seat recline feature added further insult to the mix. Once airborne, the lady in the seat in front of me sent her seat into what was left of any personal space or legroom I had. The video screen on the setback in front of me was literally 6" from my face now. Several people who were also of taller size complained, one was so adamant about retaining his space that he fought verbally with the lady in front of him, and eventually a stewardess had to be called. My wife complained on my behalf, and was able to get the lady in front of me to reposition her seat, but eventually, I noticed it somehow found its way back to recline again. I know Lufthansa is not alone with this predicament, but something HAS TO BE DONE to fix this huge problem with air travel. 3. The food on the flight to Germany was way better than the return trip. The meal consisted of mushy carrots, greasy mashed potato-like side, and a piece of OK chicken smothered in 'Murican BBQ sauce. I was insulted. Lufthansa had been better than this in the past. Oh, and the dinner roll was so dry and crumbly, it could have been weeks old. The snack before landing was called pizza, but I wouldn't call it that It was a bunch of tasteless dough, a little bit of tomato like sauce and a smattering of cheese. I wish Lufthansa would stick to what they do best; German-influenced food. Be true to who you are. Most people I know love German food, and I always have looked forward to LH food selections. Not now."

But she presented the two options to the fellow passenger behind us. We were extremely offended by the way we were treated. The airlines offers no entertainment for children as do other airlines. In fact, one air hostess went so far as to ask me to tell my Lil one to MUTE the volume of his ipad."

We did get our boarding passes at the kiosk, but then mine had my TSA-precheck but my wife's didn't and she had to go through an extra layer of security (near the gate area) because of this at the Munich airport."

I wish the stewardesses would make a quick check up and down the isles in case someone dozed off. The first meal that I received was very good but I am glad I didn't miss it when they came around. Cons: "When we boarded the plane it was a bot chaotic, quite a few people were sitting in the wrong seats (including someone sitting in mine). There was also a delay in departing because of weather (which isnt the airlines fault) but maybe a complimentary bottle of water would have been nice."

Cons: "Our baby has broken leg with plaster cast and Cathay didn’t deliver our stroller to Hongkong so we had to carry him on the hands whole afternoon...this was unpleasant experience...also when we arrived from HongKong to Denpasar Bali we found that one of our suitcases was damaged broken :/"

Cons: "Flight delayed and missed connection. Ground crew in Rome assured there would be no further delays and connection would be made. Then plane was held on runway for 30 minutes after arriving 1.25 hour late. No complimentary drinks or snacks for a 3 hour flight. Landed 15min before connecting flight departed and was told by crew that a BA representative would be at gate to meet passengers who "missed" connection to LA, but no representative for the LA connection was present (only for other connections) though 20 passengers were on the same LA connection. Approximately 30 other passengers missed other connections. Was told that we would not make transfer to connection in same gate though we still had 10min before departure. At rebooking desk, was told "this happens all the time". Given meal vouchers to use at hotel by London Heathrow. Dinner voucher was valid only at hotel for a single dinner option (chicken, curry, salad, and water only - no juice nor soda, etc.)."

Cons: "No TVs!! in 2018? on a large airplane? C'mon. Old plane with no-seatback entertainment. just tiny screens many rows up, on the bulkhead. Terrible. One offering for beverages then never saw the flight crew again. Flight delayed by close to an hour. even with making up time we landed late. big issue for me due to connections."

Pros: "We landed at Heathrow. It too 30 minutes to get off the plane. We parked on the tarmac and had to ride a shuttle to the terminal. There was no time to get through security and make our flight. WE have sat through on stand by for 2 flights. It is not promising that we will get to Paris as scheduled."

Cons: "narrow seats, no legroom, small entertainment screens, OK food (but they are British, so not much expectation), then no gangway off the plane, we had to wait a long time for the stairs, then everyone down the stairs onto a bus. staff was friendly enough, but once they fed us and one round of drinks, they were gone until they rushed us thru breakfast (no coffee refills). good thing the flight was cheap!"

Pros: "After 18 hours of travel I just slept on this flight. Got on, fastened my seat belt, and don't remember take off or landing!! But the plane was MUCH cleaner and nicer than our international flight."

Pros: "British Airways provides complimentary amenities in coach not found on US carriers: A hot meal, snacks, beverages other than water or coffee/tea. Their media selection is superb. They seem to work hard to make a nine-hour flight over The Pond as tolerable as possible."
Cons: "My comfort was better on the return leg because I had the extra leg room that comes with being seated on the emergency exit row. However, regular coach seating is at best tolerable. You are packed like sardines and the seats are firm, to put it mildly."

Pros: "The flight was on time and really nothing important has happened - and that was good. I also liked that the British Airways wished us Merry Christmas instead Happy Holidays I've been hearing here in the US where people's correctness really sucks."

Cons: "- Landing cards were only distributed 20 minutes before arrival. The seat belt sign was already on. So, I could not use the food tray to fill out the cards. I tried to use the magazine to put under the landing card, but there was some turbulence and I could not fill out the cards n the plane. Cards should be passed to passengers an hour after Akef off. - no gifts given to kids like small games or coloring crayons to keep them busy. - food took hours to serve and was not comparable to BA's image. - the water pressure in the toilet's wash basin was too strong and was splashing all over my cloths."

Pros: "The flight left relatively on time and arrived only ten minutes late. The crew were as friendly as they were totally unaccommodating."
Cons: "In coach, every refreshment costs money, even non-alcoholic beverages, yet all four of my (valid and working before and after) cards were declined, and like all airlines nowadays, they refuse cash. The flight attendant was totally unsurprised, and mentioned they'd been "working on fixing that for a while." Every other airline I've flown, when they can't process your card, they accept it as their issue and just give you the beverage. BA were quite happy to leave me sitting thirsty without even a water for the two hour flight, with nary a apology for their technical issue. A rather basic plane, without entertainment, nor internet."

Cons: "The stewardess told me for the last meal, that they ran out the no. Vegetarian meal so I must choose the veg one. Later he said he gave me the preference for the earlier meal so this one shouldn't be a problem if I didn't get what I asked for. Totally blew my mind. The audacity with which he gave me his explanation was extraordinary. Sorry British airways, don't need that attitude. Wrote to them about this, haven't yet replied back. The flight was pretty old by itself. Not like the ones that go from London to United States. The Seats were smaller and had a very uneasy contour, the entire plane just looked a little banged up. The crew always seemed in a rush, to busy to even hear or look around."

Cons: "I couldn't check in on line. That was a problem for us because we were traveling with 3 children and the flight was full. At the end we were not able to get sits together. I don't know if this was a problem only with my booking, because we did it through Iberia."

Cons: "On my 5 hour flight from Toronto the air Canada rouge website wouldn't work on my laptop despite troubleshooting many times. I was connected to the wifi... but didn't gain access to the website. I would've liked to eat on the plane but having to pay $7+ for a sandwich alone isn't something I'm interested in. It would be nice to at least get a free snack while flying across Canada. Oh well, I guess I'll starve."

Cons: "The flight was delayed about an hour and a half, only after some time at the gate they explained it on the mic.I had a connection flight, and before landing they mentioned there will be agents helping those with upcoming connections to catch them up due to the delay, but those people just pointed me in the general direction of the gates. I had to ran all over the airport, confused after the terrible long flight, and since it was my first time there. I made it at the last second, they changed my seat without my permission and didn't have enough room for my bag so I had to check it. The general attitude of the crew was reluctant at best.The food was mediocre, like what you would have gotten in a flight 10 years ago, and they gave beef to people who asked for chicken. I wanted to be more cool about it, but it was a terrible flight in every Aspect, and I never even got an apology or a follow up."

Cons: "Flight was late from Barcelona to Mintreal by an hour. I needed a wheelchair - didn't show up! Then pulled a muscle trying to get through customs and they barely held my flight to Chicago. Made it, with No Help. Late into Chicago and still no wheelchair. There was no one from whom to get help. Finally a United Airlines employee took pity on me and got a wheelchair to me and got me to the flight - again, just barely. Over 20 hours in the air, no assistance and poor food. I will never fly air canada again - ever. Not worth the savings. I've spent an entire week recovering and spent the savings on physical therapy due to the damage to my legs."

Cons: "If you are going to make people download things in order to watch movies or tv on a nine hour flight. You shouldn't charge people that don't have the devices to use one that you have on board. Also, making your entertainment app only available to apple customers and not android seems very unfair."

Pros: "The first leg of the trip was great from Montreal to Toronto on wide body plane."
Cons: "The airport in Toronto where they crammed about 10 gates together in a small area with no air conditioning (it seemed). Also flight was delayed about an hour so had to wait in horrible conditions with no seats for a long time."

Pros: "It was a short flight with poor weather conditions, the pilot was very good at keeping the passengers updated."
Cons: "The temperature on the plane was incredibly hot. I believe that the crew did everything that they could do to remedy this, including passing water. However, it was incredibly uncomfortable and some of the passengers were quite angry."

Cons: "Crowded gate with not enough chairs because of so many delays. We were delayed too because of the other backups, but flight was great once we boarded. Not a big deal to us but might have been if we had a connecting flight after that. This was the small commuter flight area so maybe that's just how it goes."

Cons: "The staff on the ground were disorganized, uninformed, frazzled, dismissive and boarded us 1 hour late with no updates on why we were not boarding on time. Our flight was just sitting there on the ground. when people asked they blew us off. we were also crowded into the last, very narrow, terminal area in the Toronto airport (F89-F99 area). Too many flights departing at the same time, created limited space to sit/stand. One passenger pasted out, and had a seizure upon hitting the floor face first, because of the stuffed space, and lack of air movement and available seats. They did have a fan in the area but it didnt do much to circulate air. Once we boarded an hour late, the ground crew were nowhere to be found. We waited 30min on the plane for crew to board our luggage. We were told they left the area to work somewhere else, and would be back soon. Ugh! I would not fly Air Canada again, esp through Toronto again."

They served dinner really late so I stayed up until almost 11 EST to eat and to drink wine before going to sleep. They were understaffed so they always seemed overwhelmed and stressed. No movies or screens."

Cons: "I was surprised to see that there were no usb chargers, personal video screens or cabin-wide movies on the trans Atlantic portion of the flight."

Cons: "The new policy of charging $25 a flight just for a seat assignment means that it now costs $100.00 just to sit next to your travel companion. I understand charging extra something extra, like a service class upgrade or even some more legroom, but not just to get a seat next to your partner when you booked your flight months in advance. Bottom line: We didn't pay and ended up not just in different rows but in different boarding groups. However, now that we are at our destination, with the $100.00 we saved I'm going to sit next to my spouse at a very nice restaurant, enjoying a fine dinner! Seems like a better use of our money."

Cons: "Not sure if this is an Air Canada or a Toronto Pearson Airport issue, but the gate we flew out of was in a very small area with very limited seating. Long delay and no staff to assist or inform the passengers of the schedule delay. We will never fly Air Canada again."

Pros: "This is the only part of my round trip with Air Canada that went without a glitch ... the plane was on time and the airport staff I encountered in Toronto was nice and helpful."

Pros: "First time on Air Canada - I was pleasantly surprised on how well my flight went... I will definitely travel on Air Canada in the future..."

Cons: "The tiny little plane is pretty standard for going to and from Cleveland but the boarding gate was in a shack outside the main airport with almost no seating and horrible aesthetics. The flight attendant was rude and way to large (obese) to be on such a small airplane. It's likely we had to pay a fuel surcharge just to move her alone. I'm not being mean, but this flight was just terrible overall."

Cons: "I arrived before the earlier flight to Cleveland, but even though there was room on the flight for me Air Canada said I would have to pay $150 to switch to that flight. So I had to wait five hours (and the next flight was delayed) for no reason. Air Canada should be more accomodating to customers who want to take an earlier flight, as I had to wait around for no reason whatsoever."

Cons: "Didn,t like the service I received getting off the plane.. Cannot walk any distance..Didn,t order a wheelchair, because I didn,t know I had too. Asked for a ride on the golf carts, got told to walk around the corner, and one will pick me up!! Never saw one yet!!! Took awhile but managed to walk to the luggage, but had to sit for half hour with the pain in my legs.....No thank you Air Canada, next tine it will be different air lines....."

Cons: "if you get in a que, then the computer goes down , your dead, AC line will be 1.5 hours to get to rebook. then you have 2 day to stay before you can get out. if you decide to go on delta because staying 2 day in hotel is more expensive than buying a new ticket ac will not refund you. Air Canada is the least flexible airline in the world relative to refund."
