Crews were polite and helpful
Food was edible but horrible! It makes me doubt this country’s 5000-year history of cuisines.

Seat backs barely recline - not acceptable for flight of this distance. For this reason will not book Air China again
The style of the pillows and blankets were nice. The pillows were really comfortable and a good size. The taste of the food was okay. I honestly expected a horrible experience, it was not fantastic but it was better than what I anticipated.
The sealed blanket had white hair as if from an older person. Although I liked the pillow, on my return flight I used it to sleep, I used it for my back the entire time going, when I got home I noticed I was developing a sty on my eyelid. My companions noticed that the sometimes when he received his food it was still cold in some parts. On my return flight there were a few times my row was skipped for drinks. On my return flight the stewardess seemed hesitant when I asked for an additional drink. I ordered tea and asked for water. The gate agent in Beijing was extremely rude and unhelpful, she ignored us and even tossed our ticket back at us when we tried to ask about our seats for the flight.
The flight itself was fine
Air China canceled my original flight without notification, put me on a different flight and then changed my connecting flight to the next day so I landed an entire day after my original plan. They also put me inside a very uncomfortable hotel in Beijing.
I liked all the service but I missed my flight yet I was only 50 minutes before and was forced to book another flight to catch up when all I had to do was be helped to make it on the first flight.

The airplane was nice and new, the crew was nice and diligent, and the food was better than last time.
The seat wasn't the most comfortable and my seat was hurting half way through.
The crew members were extremely helpful and accommodating.
There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms.That means no one on the plane, including the crew members, could wash their hands for the duration of the 14-hour flight. Disgusting! I sked one of the crew members to refill the soap, but it appears that they had none.

unannounced gate change that almost led to our missing the flight. mediocre food and non-existent entertainment.
Checking in from Manila was excellent. The staff was nice and accommodating. The food was good. The flight was on time.
My ears were painful the whole time probably because it was a small aircraft.
Crew was friendly and attentive. Wide range of entertainment to choose from.
Boarding was done half the plane each, so I stood in line waiting to board for a long time. I also had the middle seat, which was uncomfortable for sleeping. I would upgrade for a window seat next time. There were only meat options for the food, and no main courses for vegetarians.

Staff at SFO was a little bit loud and mean when they asked the customers to line up—like in zone 1/2 boarding process.
These are some of the narrowest seats I've experienced in a full-sized airplane. Please note, I am a normal sized human.
