Cons: "They changed my seats without telling me, even the day before my itinerary said I was in the first row of First Class by the window with my partner's seat right beside me and they switched it because of some policy that forbids dogs yet couldn't let me know that in July when I booked this and spoke to a representative on the phone to confirm I was even allowed to bring a dog on board. And even then they made me feel like it was not possible and had to stow my dog below in cargo because only one dog could be in the First Class section, and again I was never told that in that moment I couldn't have my dog in the first row. Also, the representative was very clear I had to have a health certificate for my dog to fly and not only did that cost me a large deal of money and time at the veterinarian's office, but no one ever even inquired to see it. I wasted time and money for no reason other than the incompetence exhibited by Alaskan Airlines, and it's surprising to have such consistent subpar service. Especially when you're paying for First Class. Also, your food on flight had several allergens in them. Even your choice of cookie for passengers had two different types of soy. This is a common food allergy. Needless to say, I'll be flying with another airline for my trips to Alaska, as this is not my only one planned."

I felt less like I was on an airplane and more at one of those promotion things where you have to sit in an uncomfortable chair for three hours listening to a guy in a suit talk about boats before you can get a free fast pass ticket to a ride at Disneyland."

There was no mention of this during the purchase process, and we didn't find out about the layover in San Diego until were were ALREADY AT OUR TERMINAL GATE. This is very deceiving and absolutely unacceptable."

Cons: "AA didn't notify me of their change to my itinerary so I missed my flight, they cancelled my return flight from Europe, and only offered to refund my ticket when I spoke to a supervisor. I drove 5.5 hours to another city to catch a flight to Europe, believing my return ticket was valid as AA first told me, only later to learn they cancelled it. Thanks to AA, I currently I have no return ticket. Others on this flight and on my later Iberia flight were cursing AA loudly so I don't think my issue is an anomaly, but is more likely AA's new standard of conduct."

And the movies they played were old. I mean the Devil Wears Prada...COME ON!!!!! Also, the food on the way to London was extremely disappointing. I had chose the pasta with vegetables, and it was macaroni and cheese with broccoli. And not good macaroni, but more like the kind you make for your kids."

Pros: "Flight was late arriving; then 45 minutes late leaving for PHX, creating concern about catching connection. However, once arrived in PHX, the connecting flight was in the same concourse, which was often not the case. So, could easily make the connecting flight. Also, the push by crew to "valet check" carry in luggage was too aggressive, especially since there was ample space to store luggage above the seats, then having to wait 10 minutes or more to retrieve luggage at entryway while being concerned about connecting flights was an example of a poor system for serving passengers when a flight is let."

Cons: "Very poor customer service. Flight attendant name Daryl H. Colored male , declined to help me put my carry on luggage onto the over head bin. Instead he scolded me not to bring carry on luggage if I can't put it in. The bin wax too high for me . I'm 4'10 inc tall and unable to reach the over head bin. And Daryl H, was sitting on my paid chair. A nice passenger offer his help and put the carry on to the bin. I will not book this airline again."

In other words, the message from United is: "How about we keep your money *and* we fly someone else in your seat (because we overbook)?". Okay... how about I never fly on your airline, again."

Cons: "Flight 5022 was delayed 1 hr leaving SBP due to flight arriving late. Very little info was relayed by airline staff about the reason for or details of the delay. This delay caused me to miss my connection in SFO and be rebooked to a later flight, which was also delayed over an hour."

My flight was held from disembarking in order for the forms to be delivered upon landing, then distibuted to a plane full of.passengers pulling out carry-ons while asking to borrow ballpoint pens to fill out the forms before de-planing. I've been a Hawaii Island resident for 36 years and a State employee for 25 years. The effort required to input and process this data had better be rewarding for the state population and not another State 'make-work' chokehold on the travel industry. I realize the danger of invasive species in the state but does it really require a Completed form for Every passenger on Every flight to make a difference? Airline employees took their task Very seriously, BTW. Why?"

Have congestive heart failure and could hardly make it on the plane. The man should be fired. Deputy sheriff with him was just as bad glad to go into more detail with someone. Will report united to govt. small Airport would not ever be reorder."

Cons: "II spent $502.20 on a flight that ended up a complete disaster, ultimately costing me even more money to fix. UA411 ORD -> LAX -> SBP ORD - LAX take of was delayed. After landing we sat on the tarmac without explanation for about an hour, which caused me to miss my connection to SBP. I ran the ridiculous gate change distance through the airport and arrived 1 minute prior to scheduled take-off and was not allowed to board. They left behind at least 8-9 passengers (that I saw) that were also delayed from the ORD-LAX flight – this is probably 1/3 of the flight. It's absurd. I then waited in the Customer Service line for 30 mins and was told I have to go online to request my flight credit for the flight I wasn't allowed to board. I was also told to request a credit for the rental car that I had to arrange last minute online. United did absolutely zero to assist. The next flight out wasn't until after 11am the next day, which caused me to miss a prepaid event, which was the entire reason for my trip. I had to drive over 3 hours in the middle of the night arriving 5am the next morning due to United Airlines' incompetence."

Cons: "United is a poor carrier, there's nothing more to say. I struggled with my check in (I had just had a spine procedure done 48 hrs prior).... and by the time I got help from an agent it was 7:03 am, so... They wouldn't give me a boarding pass for my 8 am flight. Add to that an extremely rude ticket agent who couldn't care less about helping me, and almost seemed to enjoy my predicament, and that sums up my experience with this airline. I will never fly with them again, that's for sure; there's so many other airlines that actually care about their customers, this is not one of them."

Cons: "The flight was delayed due to fog in SFO. This apparently is something that happens often, and given that most people flying to SFO are trying to make connections it is very inconvenient."

Pros: "Crew was very kind"
Cons: "We were deplaned due to mechanical issue. Had to take a didferent flight which put me in portland 9 hours later than planned. Only compensation received was a $10 meal voucher."

Pros: "I enjoyed very little about this experience. The crew was cordial however they lose the ability to perform simple tasks by the long standing protocols and overcrowded flights. Most of the crew are as unhappy as the passengers."
Cons: "The plane hit the brakes while taking off and returned to the gate due to a warning light. We were told nothing other than we needed to wait. They said the fix took 5 minutes but our wait took 2 hours. Not efficient. They rent out tablets for on plane entertainment, unlike every other plane I've ever flown, they make you pay to keep you happy during a 5.5 hour flight. Food was horrible. The seat did not recline and they eradicate every ounce of comfort to overpack the plane. The Captian made little announcements and the one he did make upon decent, started with "please fasten your seat belts, we are 65 miles away from Honolulu but...", I was sure the "light" came back on 30k feet about the pacific and we were going down. Finally - the last announcement from the head stewardess didn't include "Aloah, thank you for flying United". Seems minor but it goes to show they don't care anymore. That's the first time I hadn't heard the welcomed message after my 20th trip to the Islands. After my return flight I vow to never fly United again."

Pros: "I EVENTUALLY arrived at my destination."
Cons: "A whole series of delays that landed me at my final destination over 8 hours late! I lost my hotel booking and had to arrange for pick up well after midnight!! Miserable."
