Cons: "No one could get their story straight and actually lied! I was sent a text (I was already at the airport) that the flight would be delayed due to "aircraft maintenance". Not true in the least bit. Then when we finally landed in Denver (nearly every person on that flight missed their connecting flights) we were told the system said the delay was "due to weather". Another lie. Then they announced there would be gate agents to meet us when we got off the plane to assist with connecting flights. First gate agent said "I have no information you have to go to gate 56". The person at gate 56 said "I don't open for another 15 minutes so you have to go to gate 39"! The real story? They made us change gates 5 times in Fargo! The gate attendant was using the "F-bomb"! It wasn't aircraft maintenance or the weather. They couldn't get the walkway to work! In the end, we still left from the original gate and had to walk outside on the tarmac to board the plane. Why didn't they just opt for that to begin with and avoid all the missed flights? My measly voucher isn't nearly enough compensation and if United ever expects me to fly with them again I am expecting a full refund (as other passengers received- I witnessed the manager in Denver authorize a full refund for another passenger but only offered me $50)"

Very poor management I was stuck in Chicago with no money or food for hours then after they start boarding for my new flight they tell me that I may not be able to get on even with ticket in hand. Mother couldn't even get into the overhead compartment to get a coat without this little child screaming for his mama. She did nothing to calm him down & his screaming pearcing harmonic voice was almost umbarriable for people to stand."

The other had a thing where I could use my device and they had a decent selection but for some reason I kept being disconnected, the problem could have been my device but since I have never had that issue with the device before I blame united."

Cons: "To start, my flight was delayed an entire hour due to our plane being towed from terminal B all the way to terminal C. I feel that is something that should have been looked into considering where the plane was coming from previously and the flight should have been planned for a later time to accommodate the wait time. Then as I am about to board the plane overhead compartment space ran out of room forcing me to check a bag which is why I brought a carry on to avoid any confusion when it came to checking the bag itself. When I arrive in Denver I go immediately to the baggage carousel and wait almost a half an hour for my bag which never shows up. Turns out when being forced to check my bag at the door it was tagged incorrectly with someone else's name and also a different flight schedule then my own. The Denver United team helped me find my bag, but after an hour and a half the ride I had arranged had left, I was over two hours late for a get together I was attending, with no way of getting home. I have never had such a terrible flying experience like the one I experienced on 12/11/15. I will never fly United again. I work in customer service I understand that people make mistakes but bottom line is to mark someone's bag with someone else's name is an extremely careless mistake that cost me my way home, my time, and my patience. Needless to say I was extremely unhappy and disappointed with United yesterday."

Staff wasn't interactive/friendly I'd say 6/10 were nice. Asked for an isle seat the person helping at counter, said I'd have to pay to upgrade. Seriously- upgrade for isle seat!! I paid to have an isle seat on all 4 flights(I'm a disabled vet who was injured in the line of duty) I need easy access to toilets I'm unable to crawl over people, in turn need idle seat). Paid for isle seat all 4 flights- just to see the flights were super empty, people were sitting where they wanted anyway. Thanks for taking my $ for the seats tho spirit:-|. Staff wasn't that friendly compared to other airlines I've flown on. Not food. No entertainment on flight. Not worth it. If they don't do better business they won't last long I feel. There is potential just needs some work!"

Cons: "This was one of the worst flight experiences of my entire life. I had to pay almost $200 in extra fees, which included everything from checked bags, carry on bags AND seat selection. Their website is awful! It took me over 2 hours plus 2 customer service phone calls before I was able to check in for my flight. Completely disorganized at the airport. Under staffed. We arrived 2 hours early and barely made our flight. We were in lines so long we barely had time to use the restroom, let alone find any kind of food for the flight. Upon boarding, I witnessed one of the flight attendants being extremely rude and hostile to a female customer who was talking to her friend about how bad her Spirit experience was. A supervisor came back and instead of reprimanding the rude flight attendant, she told all of us that if the flight attendant didn't feel "comfortable" with any of us, we would be "removed" from the flight! The flight was delayed because they closed the cabin doors before 10 additional customers were able to make it through their ridiculous lines. Instead of apologizing for their incompetence, they blamed the customers for being late, despite the fact that at least one of them initially arrived at the same time we did (2 hours before the flight)! Oh and the flight itself was rickety as hell with screaming babies everywhere. I'm absolutely DREADING the return flight home. This is the worst airline ever and should be shut down as soon as possible."

Cons: "It took over 48 hours to get from Detroit to Denver due to weather and security issues. The fact that these issues came up is not necessarily the fault of Spirit but Spirit did not offer any conveniences or accommodations while I had to wait for the issues to be resolved."
Pros: "Crew was nice, but has just turned into a ridiculous process and like many I'll do anything reasonable to avoid spirit in the future. Constant nickel-and-diming. And the things that spirit makes their crew do in flight are embarrassing for everyone. Felt like we were being treated like children in the boarding process in the check in process and throughout the flight. Non-transparent fees throughout the whole process makes people distrust the company."

I like the ability to go for the bare minimum - Staff was very friendly - seats don't recline might be eh (but then you don't get into battles with the person in front of you) -booked everything online and just printed my pass. didn't have to wait in any lines"
Cons: "All Denver flights were cancelled so after talking with Spirit Airlines the first flight they could get me back to Denver was Dec. 20th which was 5 days later. Extremely poor customer service. I will never intentionally book a flight on Spirit every again."
Cons: "I think that if its plan has any mechanical problems it needs to be repair before flying to destination! Now today I'm flying back to home but again still delay and the same problem with plane! I lost my 3 hours to coming to San Diego and spent more money than I thought! That's why I'd say they are not professional! Also I was going to change my flight for next day but customer service asked me to pay more than 100$ dollars, but I bought new ticket for next day for 34$ dollars! So I don't fly again with spirit airlines and don't recommend to anyone to fly with this airlines!"
