Starting on November 22, an Air Travel Bubble (ATB) between Hong Kong and Singapore will launch that will facilitate quarantine-free travel between Hong Kong and Singapore via designated flights. Additional COVID-19 testing is required. Further information can be found on the Hong Kong Tourism Commission’s website.
Travelers who have only been in China, Taiwan, or Macau in the past 14 days may still enter.

From November 13, travelers arriving at Hong Kong International Airport, with the exception of those travelling from mainland China, Macao and Taiwan must have a confirmation in English or Chinese of a hotel reservation in Hong Kong for at least 14 days.

Starting on November 22, the ATB travelers must have tested negative in mutually recognized tests taken within 72 hours prior to their departure. They must also have no travel history to any places other than Singapore or Hong Kong in the last 14 days prior to their departure. The ATB travelers must travel on designated flights to minimize risks. All ATB travelers must undertake COVID-19 tests again via a designated lane at the airport upon arrival at Hong Kong, while awaiting the result they must stay in a restricted area of the airport where they can't leave until they receive a receipt of negative result.
All travelers eligible to enter Hong Kong must wear face masks, present a completed Health Declaration Form to the Department of Health upon arrival, and must undergo 14 days of compulsory quarantine. Certain groups of people traveling from mainland China, Taiwan and Macau may be granted an exemption from quarantine requirements by applying in advance to the Chief Secretary of the Administration. Pros: "There were 2 crew members who were very helpful and nice."
Cons: "The movies were kind of poor but the worst part really was the service. Most were not willing to help me at all (I was traveling solo with a baby and carry on baggage + a car seat). One stewardess even told another passenger to carry something back for me since the crew was too busy."
Pros: "Entertainment options were great! A huge selection of movies for all."
Cons: "The food was not great and they ran out of options when they got to the back of the plane."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "Side seats suck"
Pros: "seats were nice, upgrade appreciated. one crew member was very nice and personable."
Cons: "some crew members simply approached each task as something to be completed and we not very personable or friendly. Annoyed it seemed to have to interact with passengers. Wish I could remember her name ..."
Cons: "Please have better seats in normal economy that’s friendlier for people over 6’. I’m 6’4” and I’m still having body pains from being jammed into a small seat that went foward as you lean backwards. So I couldn’t be comfortable for 16 hours of flying. KLM, United, LOT all for example have much better"
Pros: "Flight was on time, arrived just a few minutes late, and newer aircraft."
Cons: "Seat didn’t redline, food was marginal, flight attendants just did their job, nothing to write home about. It stands to reason: economy seat, economy food, economy entertainment, economy sleep, economy experience."
Pros: "Starters, the flight was co coached with American airlines which is one of the worst airlines I've traveled so far. They lost my bad, and so far no one can help me locate it. Changed my flight without noticing me, made me run around the airport like crazy trying to catch the connecting flight just to find out that AA airlines already changed my itinerary."
Cons: "Everything. Poor service, rude flight attendants, unhelpful staff."
Pros: "Seemed like a tiny bit more leg room, lots of good movie choices."
Cons: "Food was bleh."
Cons: "Least comfortable flight I've ever been on. It is hard to mess up the boarding process so that was okay, but the seats were cramped and awful. there was no crew around to offer water or anything. No snacks or anything to do for a 5 hour flight. long lines for the bathroom. Luckily I brought a tablet, but having no room whatsoever to move and never even seeing a flight attendant that i could ask for water made for a miserable flight."
Pros: "How funny was the crew and proficient"
Cons: "Not being able to check .my bag through from Palm Springs and long layover in Philadelphia"
Pros: "Entertainment is good, polite staff"
Cons: "The food was horrid, the seats are short for leg-room, although this was American Airlines Operated by Cathay."
Pros: "Great flight overall"
Cons: "Dinner could have been more occidental"
Cons: "Delay and bumpy landing"
Pros: "boarding was ok."
Cons: "It was freaking cold. the flight attendants spent most of their time chatting with each other. when I wanted to hand them my garbage I was told that wasn't that attendant's job. I seemed to be invisable to them."
Pros: "Direct flight Chicago to Paris."
Cons: "Uncomfortable seating. Almost 2 hrs delay leaving Chicago forced us to miss train connection in Paris. Bad layover times to get back to the States, almost 9 hrs was the only choice available."
Pros: "upgraded to business, which made for a nice ride home."
Cons: "seat and monitor seemed to have minds of their own, but only caused a minor inconvenience I'm frustrated with AA's information on movies, which is questionable and unrealable. For example, the recently released film 'Coco' was listed as PG-13 and not included in the "Disney" category. "Justice League" was listed as R. There are several other examples of misinformation in their movie listings. For parents who use the ratings as one piece of information to guide their children, it would be nice to have correct information when making selections. this problem is not new; it's been this way for over a year now. I hoped that over time they would get it right, but alas, it remains inconsistent at best."
Cons: "Tiny seats. Very uncomfortable for 17 hours."
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and the attendants were super nice"
Pros: "seat and seating was nice, boarding was efficient, movies okay"
Cons: "while the dinner was okay, the stromboli which came as a snack of sorts was terrible and caused me to be "on the run" for the next 12 hours. the last five hours of the flight and then at home were awful"
Pros: "Boarding was simple and efficient Seat was better than usual"
Cons: "Dinner was okay, the mid-flight snack was awful and made my wife sick, breakfast was better. Entertainment console crashed four times, first crew member didn’t seem to care (aloof for most of the flight), other attendants seemed marginally more interested. No one checked back to see if the problem was resolved. Flight attendants seem to be in “check the box” mode doing only what was necessary."
Cons: "It wasn't Cathy Pacific operation."
Cons: "Missed flight"
Cons: "No preliminary information that no meals are included."
Pros: "Very helpful and kind staff. Everything was on time and made for a great travel experience."
Cons: "Check in personnel were very unprofessional"
Pros: "Exit seat"
Cons: "Canceled flight after many hours butting was obvious it was. It going to happen from the start. Asked for a hotel and none offered but many others on same flight for a room from AA. Rebooked for the next day an airport an hour away from original destination and had to provide my own transportation to destination. Finally they lost my luggag."
Pros: "Boarding was quick and easy, no problems or hassles. Seat reclined and was reasonably comfortable. Left early, arrived even earlier."
Cons: "Crew was more robotic than human, which is bexoming a trend on AA. No smiles, no acknowledgment, just doing the job of handing out food and picking up trash. No personal touch whatsoever. Food was subpar for an AA flight, especially international. Entertainment system has many defects and problems, for example "search" is useless. Uninspiring and forgettable film choices as well. The knob to control air flow was broken which made it chilly. To finish as I started, a more engaged and pleasant crew could have made all the other things more palpable and acceptable. They were just too cold, like the temperature in the cabin and distant."
Pros: "I like quick flight,"
Cons: "The delay but hey that's how it goes."
Pros: "Exiting the plane and finally getting out of cramped seating!"
Cons: "Seats were very small. Touching the person next to you is uncomfortable and awkward! I am not looking forward to the long flight home."
Cons: "Overbooked Long lines Lost bag for my son Rude agents Absude EU 33 charge to book a seat. Bad website. Not a decent customer service. End this airline"
Pros: "1st Class cabin was comfortable but below business class product of most premium competitors from Asia and the Middle East"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 5 times for 6 and a half hours in total. Poor communication from the airline. Had they been honest and up-front about the delay I could have been re-booked on another flight. This delay caused me to miss an important factory meeting and will require another trip to Asia sooner than originally planned."
Pros: "everything ran like clockwork"
Cons: "The flight was late by 2 hours."
Pros: "Flight went very well and I enjoyed the selection of movies available through the Gogo system"
Cons: "Wish there were more complimentary options other than just stale cookies and pretzels"
Cons: "I didn't know it was American Airlines. I would have bought a different ticket had I known it wasn't JAL."
Pros: "New aircraft."
Cons: "The flight from LAX to HKG was diverted to Haneda, Tokyo. The septic tank was not properly emptied in LAX. Flight in Hong Kong was delayed by about 2 hours due to this diversion. I agree with the call from the Captain. It's a pity that the poor quality of service team in LAX (probably 1-2 individuals) caused tremendous inconvenience to passengers and crew."
Pros: "Checkin was fast. Crew is always pleasant."
Cons: "Seats are uncomfortable. I chose to upgrade my seat and was charged but i couldnt see any difference between my seat and anyone elses. I dont understand how it works. Then I was refunded the upgrade amount..."
