Cons: "I got SSSS on my boarding pass and was subjected to not one but TWO thorough searches at NRT and DFW!!! It was traumatic for me and when an explosives man came up, I was totally upset!!! Please explain what I did in purchasing the ticket that flagged me for this horrible search!!!"

Cons: "Omg did you study how to prevent people from sleeping? If you allowed the head of the seat to go back just 3 more inches i think i could sleep. Instead, i am tortured like a yawn that wont come out, a mosquito in the dark, an itch that runs away from my fingers ... out of reach and just inaccessible. 12 hours of wishing so that by the time i reach my final destination, I've been awake over 24 hours. Im getting too old for that."

Pros: "I really loved the food they served on the airline, along with the entertainment and the stuardesses. It made for a very enjoyable trip."

Cons: "How long it took the flight attendens to come back and take trash and out trays for both of the meals. It made it super uncomfortable in the tiny space available. Also, not enough knee space, especially when the person in front of you puts there seat back. I flew with American Airlines on the way to Japan and I had plenty of room but I wish it was the same coming home."

Pros: "All fright attendant are so nice and polite, also pretty. The meals are great and they served nice ice cream for dessert, the good quality ones! The bathroom was always clean, they keep it up so well. there was even toothbrushes and paper cup! I really enjoyed it even though I was in economy."

Pros: "From start to finish, we were amazed by the customer service of Japan Airlines. Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."
Cons: "Having to pay for wifi and not having access to power outlets. Everything else was amazing and honestly these minor things were very forgivable given the great entertainment choices that came along with the plan ride and and the amazing customer service."

Pros: "Fare price was unbelievable. JAL and AA combined to make my flight very pleasurable and memorable. This first leg, on AA was smooth and allowed me to go to my connecting flight easy without having to go out of security and back into the international section of LAX"

Pros: "On the flight home they upgraded me to business class while apologizing my original economy seat was not available. Amazing. I had a rather unsettled stomach so when the food service came I wasn't hungry. I told the flight attendant, and she brought me some very bland easy to eat food without me even asking. She then checked on me constantly to see how I was feeling, and suggested sparkling water. When I deplaned, she checked one more time with me, if they could do anything. I was feeling much better, and give this airline my highest endorsement."

Cons: "The food and overall service amenities are lacking in JAL. My flight was 8 hours and only one meal was served and one snack. The meals themselves are nothing special or enjoyable."

Pros: "I've been always flying with U.S. airlines this past several years just because transits are easier. I forgot about how friendly and nicer JAL crews are. Their food is much much better. They served us with a cup of Haagen-Dazs icecream for dessert while a Fatboy is normally served by other airlines. I was impressed by how spacious the foot area of their economy seat is. Because I felt quite comfortable, I slept five hours straight during the flight which is phenomenal to me. I will definitely fly with JAL again!"

Pros: "It was my first time flying to Japan from LA and the experience was great. Yeah my flight was delay by 3 hours for reasons out of their control and I missed my connecting flight but they completely made up for it. The food and drinks were really good along with the service. Plus they booked me on another flight along with a hotel for the night. Awesome service and experience, I would travel with them again."

Pros: "Direct flight (SAN-NRT) is always nice. (I don't know why JAL always charges more than other carriers.) Check-in desk personal was very kind & caring. Flight attendants are courteous and attentive. Good selection of current release & older movies. Bathrooms were always tidy & clean."
Cons: "When I took this flight last year, food was terrible. So I requested "fruits plate" this time. It was literally fruits only plate. Same types of fruits in different containers. No rolls/bread/ice cream/nothing!!! If I had known this, I wouldn't have ordered it. Boarding procedure needs a vast improvement for economy class passengers."
