One of my pieces was a pair of light skis (5kg, well below the allowed 20kg) that were apparently too long for normal baggage. It is just another way to extract an extra fee. Seat spacing on Jet Star is dismal. Thankfully it was a short flight"

Grandma next to them was careless too,mother left the kids to father and was sitting 2 rows in the back and they never came at least to try to make them quiet even when the kids started to kik everywhere licluding the food tray and almost breaks it. Unfortunately the staff never came and try to talk to them about this issue Most of the people including several senior citizens looked angry and frustrated."

They also have some deal with fast food restaurants, Mos Burger and Yoshinoya so sometimes you can get their air version of the fast-food meals. I had Yoshinoya and it was pretty good. The entertainment was okay, the only 2 things I wanted to watch was John Wick 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the movies change every month so it was probably a bad batch. Also free toothbrushes and toothpaste available on the plane and a self service snack area. Overall it was great."

You are on JAPAN airlines... you do realize the non-gluten-free rice is a staple of the country. It's akin to a Japanese person complaining that there aren't chopsticks provided with the meals on an American Airlines flight. How were the staff supposed to help you mid-air? Mid-flight dock so one special meal can be provided for you? How about this: take some personal responsibility and purchase your own gluten free food for the flight and carry it on. Really... how can one compare the 787 with individual on demand entertainment, roomy seats, full meal service (they'll even bring a meal to you if you were asleep during the normal service), etc... all for no extra charge?!?!? It is simply amazing what JAL (and every Japanese company) sets as a standard for customer service."

So from the scheduled time to arrive at Tokyo 5pm, we get to our Hotel at 2am. Good job Narita airport!"

You have to download their app before the flight starts. I was having issues with the app on the previous flight, so I tried to get help with it before we took off. Pros: "It was a crowded flight home, I knew that when I checked in online. I was forced to check my bag plane-side...to be picked up at baggage claim upon our arrival. Inconvenient to say the least. The crew announced there was in-flight wi-fi {available for purchase, of course} only to come back on and apologize that the wi-fi was down for this flight. The crew did do beverage service, but never made it to the last three rows of passengers. Overall, just not the type of customer service I am used to from other airlines. I chose this flight based on the price. I don't think I'll chose United again in the near future."

Pros: "Food - Free dinners even for economy class. Entertainment - Every seat has a TV that offers multiple languages and tons of blockbuster movies from a variety of genres. They also offer many television shows in multiple languages and genres and video games. Roomy- The seats are as non-roomy as any airplane. However, the flight attendants don't give you any trouble when you want to just get up and walk around and talk to people. It gives the plane a roomy atmosphere. You can go to spacier sections of the plane to hang out."

Cons: "The seats were very cramped for an international flight and half of the foot space was taken up by an installed box of sorts. The "foot rest" also dug into my upper shins the entire flight (I had it in the upright position, but I have long legs). The food was really bad, basically inedible. Not just on this flight but on all the Air China flights I've been on, and both food options are usually identical other than the option between fake chicken or fake beef or seafood. The flight is super structured (referring to my 13-hour flight), that you're not allowed to sleep when you want because they have such a regimented schedule of when to turn on/off the lights, etc. On multiple occasions the flight attendants have turned off my tv monitor while I'm in the middle of a movie just because it appeared I was sleeping. With my 1 hr layover in Beijing that ended up being less than 10 minutes due to a delay, I made the rush through security quick enough, but my bags did not and needed to be shipped to me a day later at my destination. Air China purposefully schedules flights with such short layovers, putting customers' travel at risk. Not a major issue, but the crew surprisingly also had pretty limited English on the Beijing-Washington DC flight. For connecting flights, I have no expectation of English language ability, because it doesn't involve travel to an English-speaking country. However, if you're flying to the US, you should expect to communicate in English well, at least one of the cabin crew."

The "C" shape plus the headrest jutting out so far make it impossible to get comfortable enough to fall asleep and there is very little leg room. I had finally drifted off when my friend poked me awake because they were serving dinner even though there were about 4 hours left in the flight. I was half asleep and had no appetite so I ended up giving them the whole tray back. There was also a shrill toddler several rows ahead of us who was yapping loudly for the entire second half of the flight. I obviously understand that children will be children and it was a long flight, but would have been nice if staff had asked the parents to try to quiet him down as they were not attempting to do so at all. Finally, our bags did not make it onto the next flight in time."

Cons: "The problem is the time Air China to make the connection flight. It only allows one and half hour from the flight from Hong Kong to Beijing and the latter to Washington Dulles. When the plane touched down in Beijing, it took over half an hour just to taxi to the gate. I have to run literally from the gate to the immigration and to TSA. I had also cut the line to get to the front so I don't missed the connecting flight. There were people screamed and yelled about our action (I Have 2 other couples under the same situation and don't want to miss their flight). But I finally made the security understand that we were told by Air China (with the red Air China round sticker) that we should cut the line to get to our plane. This is second time happened to me and Air China won't wait to close its gate when departure time arrives. I am not sure what will happen if I miss the connection. I stranded one night in Beijing with Continental couple years ago because of typhoon and was told the airline is not required to do anything for you because of weather related. But the connection issue needs to be addressed as I am sure some of my fellow passengers had missed their connecting flight yesterday. For now, I will stay away from Beijing connection ( ie no more Air China) until the latter makes some realistic adjustment to its connecting schedule. This is not difficult but they need to be aware and lessen stress to its customers. Beijing airport authority needs better facility with properly trained personnel to facilitate the transfer process. I had used Tokyo and Seoul with so much ease. Beijing needs to get up"

Cons: "No charging ports for your IPads for tables for an over 14 hour flight. Bathrooms were not kept clean during flight. Attendants are rude. Luggage didn't get to our destination. Disgusting Air line."

Cons: "1. Very rude staff. Very inconsistent. No customer service skills or people skills. 2. Food was horrible. I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Kids meal was bad as well. 3. Nonalcoholic beverage selection was very limited. 4. Very small English movie selection for a very long flight. 5. Blankets were used and had stains for the previous flight. I've flown different airlines before and never had this many issues. Air China please take a step back and reevaluate."

Pros: "Not much. Size of seat and legroom same as other economy class so although cramped it was acceptable."
Cons: "Flight was delayed but no announcements and no change to boarding information posted at gate. Food was inedible and also not enough for the long flight. The major food groups served were white bread, white rice, and more white bread. With some extremely salty and corn starchy food in small amounts to go with. Entertainment system had touch screen that was very difficult to use, 90 percent Chinese movies, and headphone was very unsatisfactory."

Cons: "I ended removing ine of my two check in bag as Myabmar Bational Airline from Yangon to Bangkok only allow one check in bag. Poor connection on your end"

Pros: "I've read a lot of bad reviews of Air China. All my flights with them were excellent overall. They provided me with free transit hotels for over night layovers. The staff was friendly and courteous. The food is what you expect from any airline, mediocre. They offered a variety of multilingual movies, which I haven't seen with other airlines."

Cons: "Loading was chaotic. I had more issues with the passengers being rude and pushing than the staff. Perhaps a more organized way of loading the plane could have avoided this. The two hours sitting on the runway in Beijing both getting to my destination and the hour delay in Beijing coming home was inconvenient. That was more the airport than the airline."

Pros: "Food is good. Crew is good. The free transit hotel saves a lot of trouble."

Cons: "Delays outbound and inbound and airport staff did not do anything to help with rearranging connecting flights even though it was known that we would miss the scheduled connection, and it was a disorganized inefficient process in Beijing that took over 2 hours of standing in line and the hotel they arranged for required sharing rooms and a 20min shuttle ride and by that point there was only 3hrs left before check-in time."

Cons: "The airport in Beizing is not good for smorker. No place for smoking area. It's my second time flighting at Beizing and I should have to have 1 hr delay from the departure as always."

Pros: "I like the movie choice on my screen at the time. However, I think I just got lucky on this trip and was able to watch great movies while on a 14 hour trip."
Cons: "I didnt like the fact that after the first few hours of the flight, the bathroom on my side of the plane was unavailable for the rest of the flight. Something went wrong and it just stopped working."

Cons: "I lost one luggage and is still waiting for Air China finding it."
