Cons: "It was about half the price of other major airlines. So naturally I expected the worst. Turns out it was better than many airlines I flown in the past."
Pros: "Staff/Crew were all very friendly. Plane was clean and air temperature was comfortable."
Cons: "Seats were terribly uncomfortable! NO cushion = a very sore bottom, especially on an almost 6 hour flight. VERY disappointed in the entertainment. This airline expects everyone to have a device to play their downloadable entertainment or else pay to rent a device. This is horrible for such a long flight, when you happen to be one of those people who do not have a device for this. I will not fly Alaska Airlines again."

Cons: "Boarding? Alaska Airline had a 4 hour lay over. Crew? Ask "Chad" a question and when he's done joking around and serving 6 other people, he may get to you. Comfort? You have to pay for leg room. Otherwise your knees are in the back of the seat in front of you. Food? What food? They offered trail mix. You have to buy the cheese platter. After buying the leg room upgrade. forget it. Entertainment? What entertainment? You have to buy the entertainment player. Seriously? After Alaska Airlines nickel and dimes the customer to death they landed on one set of wheels, then bounced two more times."

Cons: "What I didn’t like was the attitude of one of the crew members. They didn’t even make an announcement before the flight took off saying you had to go to a different website to look at the free movies. So myself and the passenger sitting next to me wasn’t able to watch movies unless we paid $10 for one of their pads. They made announcements for everything else especially to tell passengers to put their seatbelts on. Ms. Carly talked the whole flight about something."

Cons: "Need to start earlier with pre boarding. This caused a back up bcz an elderly couple had not pre boarded earlier. They were very frail and needed a lot of help. Perhaps they cannot hear the announcement. Keep them close to the gate. Food is pricy, poor variety, and skimpy"

Cons: "What I didn't like was how they boarded the plain. I understand the logic of boarding back to front but not enough organization at that gate. Too many people bunched up because the rows were not called appropriately. May I suggest that after the first class, children and assisted folks get in the plain that they call passengers by sections, for example: the last 10 rows first, then the next 10 and so on. so everyone is not just blocking the front part of the gate. So it will be more orderly and quickly to board. Not enough was said over the loud speaker about how people should be boarding, as most other airlines board front to back first and that's my 2 cents. thank you."

I'm surprised that there was a lack of knowledge about where the plane was. It seems people should have been a little more on their toes about if a plane should have been at the gate, and why it wasn't there."

Cons: "The flight attendants on board the plane were amazing and I'm sure equally as frustrated as the passengers. The gates were mixed up at the airport. We were told we had to move gates and would be delayed one hour. One hour turned into two and just before noon they told us to rush boarding. If we didn't take off by noon the pilots would time out. They timed out and we had to deplane. Alaskan was not telling us very much information and we were again delayed until 2:15. We started boarding at about 1:35 and we sat on the plane until well after 2:15. Apparently there were mechanical issues and again we had to deplane. We, as were all of the other passengers, were extremely upset. They couldn't tell us what was going to happen. A supervisor came out and basically said I can refund you, you can rebook, or you can wait it out. There were limited spaces on flights for the next day. Finally, at 4:30, they boarded us again and took off at 5. The whole experience was extremely upsetting. Overall, we were delayed 7 and a half hours. We missed a whole day of vacation and lost money, with very little remorse or compensation from Alaskan airlines."

Cons: "It was disappointed that I paid to upgrade to first class and there was a cat next to me... I bonded with a group of other passengers over our cat allergys. Thankfully there was another passenger giving out beadryl. many people sneezing the whole flight. The passenger with the cat was nice, giving chocolate to all the flight attendants. At one point he had the cat out on His lap petting it... I was waken from my sleep with my eyes swollen shut and sneezing. you will see other complaints about this flight... As for me, I want my upgrade refunded. I did not eat, I did not watch movies.... I did not get to enjoy my flight."

Cons: "This was a red eye flight and it was FREEZING on the airplane. They did not have blankets or pillows to hand out like other airlines and the temperature was way to cold in this plane. In felt sorry for people who didn't wear shoes or bring a jacket. I had both and I felt like I was frozen solid. They really need to have some sort of temperature control in the cabin to make passengers comfortable. This really made my flight unpleasant and I did not get any rest at all."

They went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable and made many rounds to ask if anyone needed more water, food, pens to fill out the customs forms, etc."

They should make a point to let people know the service is not available and that tablets replace it. Also the fact that the Internet was $16 and did not come with any movies or ability to stream is a ripoff. Also there was a time I asked an attendant for a ginger ale and the response was "yeah this a the trash cart" with an attitude was upsetting. It's a very long flight."
