Cons: "My flight tonight (0078) from MIA to Istanbul was delayed by over 5 hours. I am traveling with an infant and it has been IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to help us. Finally, someone at the airport helped in re-booking our flights but I have yet to have anyone give me an answer regarding compensation! In addition, we are traveling with an infant which isn't easy but we had the bassinet seat on our original flight. Now it's sold out for the flight tomorrow and no one will assist in trying to help get us better seats. I understand things are out of your companies control but being in an airport with an 18-month baby isn't easy and no one in this company has made this crazy travel schedule easier. I would like someone to call me back or email me with something that could maybe be done to help us! No one at the call center will help!"

When we first boarded, I informed the flight attendant that I had hurt my back just 20 min ago and if it was possible to change seats (since it was hard for me to move with 2 people sitting next to me) after boarding was complete. She was nice enough by offering me ice, and said that once I hear the announcement ''boarding complete'' I can get up and look for a more comfortable seat. When I did that she asked me to go back to my seat immediately without letting me speak, and not once during the 13hr 30 min flight did she come to check if I needed anything. Food was served twice, a 13hr 30 min flight and food was served twice. It was almost impossible to call flight attendants if you needed water, coffee or was starving..they were always in a hurry and a little rude. Definitely going with Emirates next time, the service there doesn't even compare!"

Crew was very polite and handled the situation in a friendly & professional manner."

I was unable to return to work today due to sciatica problems related to flight seating. (I checked with the flight drew. The plane was full. Pros: "Flight from SEattle to Atlanta delayed due to mechanical problems for 6 hrs. Once we got to Atlanta there were no flights connecting to Argentina until the following night at 10 pm. Delta did put us up in a hotel but with no food vouchers or any upgrades on delayed flight the next day. Flight attendants and crew were curteous."

I informed them that the website indicated it would waive baggage fees to certain destinations if checked in at the airport before a certain date. Another Delta agent nearby had to show them a copy of the policy before I could get my baggage fees waived."

She barely slept the whole flight and I had a stuardis in a red dress who whem I asked for for a beverage made it seem like I asked for it right now. Didn't say a word Else to me until it was time to land and my daughter had just fell asleep. She told me. I had to take her out of the baby carrier. My daughter needed a diaper change and there were no places to change her. I tried to change her by the door really fast. The stuardis said no go change in a bathroom I asked which one had a changing station they said none and to just change in my lap. Plus my car seat was broke when I got it back."

Upon arrival in China the 144 hour travel visa was granted with no problem within minutes, but the U.S. staff was completely befuddled by the possibility. The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

Cons: "We were traveling with my 94-year-old grandfather who needed wheelchair assistance. And it took the 4th person I asked to get any assistance. The very first Alitalia person I tried to speak to was the very worst. Though her job was to check people in, she said she couldn't help me and to go to another counter. When I asked if she could please at least make a call to get a wheelchair (my grandfather was at the airport entry and couldn't walk) she made a terrible face, threw the papers on her desk around and said I had to go to another counter. When I went to the counter she pointed at, I was told again I would have to go to another counter. No offense to dog owners, but the animals that were traveling received better assistance."

Pros: "Alitalia gets a bad rap, but I thought this flight was excellent, and a comfortably way to travel the 13 hour flight from Rome to Los Angeles. Cabins recently refurbished on 777 thanks to Etihad Airways investment. Food, and plenty of it, was excellent. Wide selection of wines. Choice between freshly made American coffee or Espresso (from Lavazza). Lie flat seats are way more comfortable than KLM. Esoteric selection of documentaries and Italian movies. Leather seats and color scheme is elegant. Also, business class lounge (Alitalia House) at Rome Fiumincino serves delicious freshly cut Italian cold cuts, cheeses, pastrries, and has an actual barista vs a machine. You don't get the sense that they are cutting corners, which is probably why the airline keeps losing money, but that is to the benefit of the traveler (for now). Service friendly. For nonstop to this part of Europe, or for connections to Southern Europe, it may be my number one Skyteam choice."
Cons: "Check in is extremely unorganized and long lines at Sky Priority, but someone finally directed me to the VIP check in in the back, which you can use if you are flying Business Class or have Elite status. This was not indicated anywhere, though, so make sure you ask or look for it if there is a long line at check in. Then, the gate is very, very far. Not sure why they had me check in at Terminal 1 as the gate is in Terminal 3. Make sure to allow for plenty of time, and maybe see if it's possible to check in at Terminal 3, which may well save time. But for a 14-hour flight in total comfort, the trade off was worth it."

Cons: "Horrible experience with Alitalia. They boarded us on a plane that had a wheel issue, and kept us on the ground for 2 hours before they decided to de-plane us. We then had to wait in a 5+ HOUR LINE to get rerouted (nope, they won't handle these issues online or over the phone, you have to wait in line). And THEN they wanted us to wait in a 2 hour line to re-drop off our bags. We got stuck overnight in Rome and were put in a horrible Hilton Garden Inn and barely made it in time to use our coupon for a "free meal" (aka, frozen meatballs and stale bread in a buffet that had been sitting out all night). On our flight back, the food was absolutely terrible, the movie selections were old and scarce, and the seats were uncomfortable. We called to complain as soon as we got home and still have not heard back from Alitalia. I will never fly with them again."

Cons: "Worst airline company ever. Lost my baggage for 4 days although a friend of mine on the exact same flight with me received his. I'm on a snowboarding trip and they lost all my gear and basically made it impossible to enjoy my vacation. I sent 3 emails and no one has contacted me yet! I agree that these things might occur but the airline has to take responsibility for their mistakes and address the issues. WORST airline I've been to, if you are thinking of using it I double insure everything and don't count on them to be responsive!"

Pros: "The crew was friendly and did their best to help. The flight was on time and arrived early."
Cons: "AZ 316 FCO-CDG, Feb. 1, 2017, Economy. On its Airbus A320 Alitalia has a new section with "Premium Seats". This was done at the cost of the non-premium economy seats. Pitch is unacceptable. When the food cart came I had the back of the seat in front of me 15 cm (5 in) from my forehead. I told the attendants "even cattle could not be handled like that". They commiserated and said "with the changes the we are truly going through rough times." They reseated me to an exit row. Getting a boarding pass online is also a new, unfortunate experience. I have a Platinum Card of AF/KL, which means Elite Plus in Skyteam parlance. My ticket, sold by KL, had an AF flight number. Alitalia pretends now to sell piece by piece all the advantages that are attached to the status (e.g; €8 for early boarding...). The airport personnel confirmed that the system does not allow to print the words "Skyteam Priority" or '"ELP" (for Elite Plus) on the boarding pass. They encouraged me to write to the Powers-that-be that decided to make these user-unfriendly changes. I think that Alitalia, as a Skyteam member, had signed the agreements; they have not rescinded their membership, why don't they just apply the rules? Food: a tiny portion of pop-corn! I couldn't believe it. I will avoid henceforth to fy Alitalia."

Pros: "Did not misplace my suitcase as they did on my October 28,2016 going to Rome. That was very stressful!"
Cons: "Alitalia customer service not answering and updating information on misplaced luggage. They acknowledged the mail...that's about it!"

Cons: "We were not able to print our boarding passes for our connecting flight in Berlin and thus were forced to check in again for our flight to Rome. The system did not have the update and we were forced to wait over an hour with the agent. We nearly missed our flight."

Cons: "Individual in airport had us wait in line ONE HOUR TO GET CHECKED IN; he should be fired ; flight was fine"

Cons: "The boarding was chaos in both Munich and Rome. Apparently Al Italia had instituted a new computer system and the workers did not know how to use it. I spent hours on line getting a boarding pass in Munich, and then again another in Rome (in Munich no one was given boarding passes for connecting flights). I spend hours again in lines to get a boarding pass for a flight to Palermo, missing my connection and only getting a much later flight to Palermo. It was utter confusion. Shame on Al Italia."

Cons: "My wife and I were slightly late to our return flight to Boston. When we arrived we were told that we would not be able to board because of our need to check a bag. We have the same bag that we have flown all over the world without the need for checking. Seems like it would be wise to indicate that Alitalia does not follow industry standard for checked bags when purchasing ticket. We were forced to purchase entirely new tickets for our flight back home, this is an unacceptable business practice. The up charge on the late purchased ticket was outrageous and we were sat next to the toilets which was disgusting!! I would appreciate a phone call from a representative of Kayak or Alitalia to discuss. Thanks Jeffrey Baker 207 739 9487"

Cons: "Delay of 2 HOURES cosed missing a connection flight to Tel Aviv. Next flighr to Tel aviv 36 houres later !!!"

Cons: "LUCKY IT WAS A SHORT FIGHT!"

Pros: "Nothing, I don't care about Boarding, Crew or Food when the airline loses luggage"
Cons: "Losing luggage and making it extremely difficult to hold the airline accountable for their screwup"

Cons: "Very disappointed male fly attendant I don't know he had a bad day or racist but he look like a didnt want service to me include Chinese ppl who seat next me"

Pros: "Good in flight entertainment."
Cons: "Meals were small and below average."
