Even the pilots greeted the passengers as they exited. All the other airlines just want my money, they want to cram me into smaller and smaller spaces and want me to sit there and shut up so they don't have to interact with me. I will fly Delta every chance I get, even if I have to pay more money."

Ontop of that the crew which is normally excellent, was feisty and rude and wanted nothing to do with their job"
Pros: "They had some weather in atlanta. So they drove us out to the runway and then we sat for 45 minutes with the engines off waiting to leave. I guess it is nice that they want to keep you safe. After missing our connector - they did put us up in a hotel overnignt. However we still had to pay extra for taxi back, parking an extra day at the airport, and extra meals. Oh - and the extra trip to detroit..."

Then we finally got off the pane and ran to our connector which left without us. We were told they don't hold the plane for less than ten people. So the four of us don't matter. In order to make sure I had enough time to make the connecting flight, I didn't check in my luggage which lead to me having to minimize liquids and pastes in my luggage (no vanilla extract or tequila). Also while making the transfer I felt rushed and stressed out. I might search for tickets using Kayak but I would not buy tickets directly from Kayak if my route involves a transfer at an airport that I am not familiar with."

Pros: "On my last 4 trips in 6 mos I've flown United, Delta, and Hawaiian, to Cancun Mexico on United Aug 2015' , to Puerto Vallarta on Delta December 2015, Hawaiian to Honolulu December 2015, and Again on Delta to Honolulu Feb 2015. Hands down Delta IS THE BEST, there nothing better then having Free movies to pass the time, from TV to HBO and SHOWTIME and Current Movies in the theaters TODAY music, games, etc even free headsets any eye cover to rest ALL FOR FREE Delta isn't so worried about charging for eveything, a happy traveler is a repeat traveler, that is DELTAS GOAL Happy repeat travelers I voiced my displeasure with Hawaiian after finding out on my Day flight over I get charged $10 for blanket n pillow and free ( bad ) meal. Then on red eye home it's free blanket and no food, I can bring my own better food, and blanket which I do, but to charge for entertainment is the worst thing ever, AND EVEN FOR SIMPLE MUSIC WAS A CHARGE, SUCH POOR SERVICE Delta hands down IS CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED PERIOD DELTA DELTA DELTA I'M FOREVER YOUR HAPPY TRAVELER,"

Pros: "I am 6'6" 300 pounds ... So I regularly book first class for trips over 2 hours in length ... Delta remains my #1 choice for both value and overall experience in first class. The difference between Delta and all other domestic carriers is just overwhelming. United and American/US Air could learn a lot from Delta. I could have flown this trip direct on United, but chose to fly through Atlanta on Delta for less money and a better experience from the baggage check to the gate to the in-flight experience."

We were Delayed, which is understandable, but not sure why we couldn't board and wait for crew to come on to speed up process rather than waiting for crew to arrive to even begin boarding process. I assume it's a safety thing but seems like there could be a better way to handle this and speed up process to make sure people aren't missing connecting flights."

Cons: "Gate agents were rude. Everybody was forced to check-in their carry on luggage due to the small plane. This information should have been shared before boarding. We were informed as we were boarding and had to scramble to remove the laptop from our carry-on and help up passengers behind us from boarding. A totally unnecessary stressful situation created by the gate agents for failing to share information. Once we got onboard we saw carry-ons larger then what we were forced to check-in. Evidently, enforcement of standards is at the gate agents' discretion."

When you check in they take your cell phone "in case " well no call no txt no nothing. It was a joke the level of service No apologies or anything just a group of any tired patrons getting the worst customer experience. Had to walk to a different terminal of LAX wait in 2 more lines and by the time they were able to assist it was too late to check in. Missed the flight, have to rebook a 3 hour later departure, move the meeting and take a flight back 4 hours later that has a layover and adds about 2.5 hours more on the return leg. Not to mention having to pay for the new seat."

It seems that they are always some kind if “weather” delay with United flights arriving and departing Newark. Also, they are constantly cancelling flights to/from there. I would suggest looking at a different airline, perhaps one that cares more about the passengers iteneraries than the number of passengers."
Cons: "95% of my united flights are delayed. Today, they overbooked and asked for a volunteer. I did so and was offered a $1,500 compensation. Instead of 8:00, I would arrive at 11:00. I was very excited and patiently waited for the plane to board, so I coulD receive my new flight info. The flight is inevitably delayed, as it always is with this airline: I would have ended up missing my connection, so it seemed to work out well. However, they’re about to close the doors when the agent says “it’s not overbooked anymore” she gave me the option to so either get on that flight and wing it on my layover to find another flight, or go to Newark. But I needed to make a decision at that moment. The agent revoked the $1,500 because it was no longer overbooked and her demeanor immediately changed from The kind, accommodating agent she was when she needed me to give up my seat. She became short and rude. I got the last available seat because I was the last to board and was forced to check my bag because there was no more room. All because I was willing to change my travel plans. I get to my layover, and the earliest flight I could get would land at midnight with an additional layover. Oh! And the first class seat I was supposed to have on my second leg was not available. All of this was while I was seriously ill— throwing up, just wanting to be home. Honestly, I’ve never liked United. I constantly get over it, because it’s often the less expensive option. At this point, I am so sick of how they treat their customers, and their inability to depart on time. Last time I let them put me through this again."

Crew was not professional. After takeoff they never came around to see if anyone needed anything and not even a glass of water was offered for the entire flight. They didn’t even ensure that everyone wore seatbelts on landing - woman next to me was stretched out hugging her companion while landing wilth unbuckled seatbelt. Entertainment screen did not wirk properly."

I know I gave her a questioning look because this did not answer my original question. She repeated her statement again this time pointing. I would have preferred that she tell me that the flight had finished boarding but customer service could help me get on another flight. I feel that would have been more professional. My new flight was also an hour late"

Cons: "We were kept in the airport for hours on end without being informed our flight was cancelled. Something was wrong with the plane and then by the time it was fixed the crew had times out. We were given no information, the delays just kept increasing and increasing. We had to fly out the following morning which made things very inconvenient for getting rides from the airport and getting to work on time."

Cons: "This would have been my first time on this airline ans I was excited going into it with ano open mind. However as I was getting ready to head to the airport, my flight was canceled and they rebooked for another flight that would leave the next day with a 3 to 4 hour layover. I was frustrated with the flight selected and therected seemed to be no effort into suiting me with an equivalent flight in which I purchased, which was a direct flight. I spoke to a reap that found a flight on another airline, but it still was not a direct flight in which I requested. For this being my first impression I was not impressed!"

Cons: "After booking my flight two months prior and checking in 12 hours earlier, I was not allowed to board the plane because United had overbooked. Thus forcing me to fly to Charlotte then Newark at a 5 hour delay. There was also no drink for those in my row during a two hour flight from Charlotte to Newark."
Pros: "Staff and Pilots did a great job. Wheelchair was much apprecciated!!! Everything was on time or ahead of it. Great landing!! Wish you didn't charge for baggage and would like better snacks--oh for the good old days!"
