I've always wanted to go to all five Manhattan boroughs in one day. Thanks to Delta, that happened.
The plane broke down as we were about to take off. Delta rebooked everyone on to new flights because it was pretty obvious that plane was not going to be fixed in time. The crew did their best given the situation. The situation was absolute bs though - we had to take a cab to JFK for our new flight and do the whole security thing again and all that annoying stuff. Thanks for wasting 8 hours of my life, Delta.
I have always known of airlines to offer preboarding to those military members in uniform or on official orders. Delta took it one step further and allows prior service members to board also.
We were in the plane for 3 hours before we could depart. No one offered us a drink or snack.
I liked the check-in kiosk, but only because I had no bags to check. I liked being able to choose my own seat. I liked that the flight was uneventful. I liked the staff at all stages, they were friendly and helpful.
They made me shove my purse into my knapsack to fit within their two bag policy. That's a first for me. My Delta flight did not do that.
The food and the service
staffs were nice and smiling. plenty of snacks for everyone to eat like larabar, lays chips,coke and pepsi, etc
We paid for Premium Seating- not quite Business Class, but supposedly like Business on a domestic flight. Boarding was great, right after business. We had problems with my seating, but the crew did everything they could to amend the issues. The crew was wonderful and really took great care of us.
Right away we found out my chair was broken, and couldn't recline. Also, we had been placed in the first row of Premium and there are no automatic footrests. The crew has to bring those out. But there weren't any on board the plane at all. And since I'm only 5'2" tall, my feet don't reach the floor, causing blood circulation to be cut off in my legs from the pressure of hanging on the seat. No recline for 12+ hours, and no foot rest = a lot of pain and discomfort. I've been to the doctor twice since arriving home and am still in pain.
I loved the food and friendly airline staff. They were very accommodating.
I have no complaints.
On time (the only one of three Virgin flights within two days that was on time!).
The food was half a muesli bar!
This was an excellent flight with a top notch crew.
