Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Our bag was tagged as Priority, and was literally the last one off the plane. We clearly have different definitions of that word."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 1 hour on the tarmac"
Cons: "Flight delayed by over 4 hours. Took another flight"
Pros: "Food was better than expected"
Cons: "I always wonder why they load planes front to back, seems it would be more efficient back to front"
Pros: "Food has gotten much better than maybe 10 years ago? Decent quantity and taste. Food is heated."
Cons: "Boarding took longer than usual but they did announce that the gate we were assigned was not setup for that plane."
Pros: "I had the row of seats to myself and lots of leg room."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed. We watched while the next flight was loading on time. We had to wait 2 hours!"
Pros: "The pilot and stewardess were very pleasant to chat with the stewardess was sweet, pleasant to chat with. All around enjoyable She likes her job as does the captain."
Cons: "I fell getting out of my small seat breaking my glasses and hitting my head on the top of seat’nnn"
Pros: "Pleasant crew, flight on time. Ambiance = none, comfort = bare minimum, better than sewerage on the Mayflower and that's the norm."
Cons: "What I wrote above was meant to describe our experience from Chicago to Burlington- not Milwaukee to Chicago. Although, we had a delay in Milwaukee too. Overall, everything was only fair"
Cons: "Baggage did not make the connecting flight. Their baggage service is poor. Didn’t receive my 2 bags until 10:30pm the next day."
Cons: "When boarding, the agent said we had to check our rollaboards because they were our of overhead bin space. Hen we entered the plane, we saw that the entire back half of the plane had empty bins, but by that time it was too last to retrieve our bags."
Pros: "Everything was good .with kayak app we can find avery ways in every airport we had to find .thank you"
Cons: "Never got to dc"
Pros: "When the lady in the gate saw me almost dying of running all over the airport with my suitcase, she was very nice and comfort me."
Pros: "All the effort to make my need for wheelchair problem free"
Pros: "I had a good amount of time between each flight, every plane was waiting at the gate when I arrived, every flight arrived early."
Pros: "Once the plane boarded it was a smooth flight."
Cons: "The airline said that it needed to take on additional fuel due to bad weather, which would make the plane overweight. This meant that nearly half of the passengers who bought tickets would not be able to fly. Thos made boarding stressful as they were randomly calling names. They were offering $2000 and a hotel and meals and a flight out the next morning. However I did not have flexible travel plans and the stress of hoping to be allowed to board was unpleasant."
Cons: "We kept getting delayed by 20minutes (for 4 hours) without any communications/updates from the staff as to what the problem was or when a solution might be found."
Cons: "I reboarded the same plane for this leg of the trip. The same issue with the air being unbearably cold."
Pros: "The flight attendants were pretty nice."
Cons: "We sat on the tarmac for an hour and a half while we waited for 'paperwork'. The captain kept trying to make it seem like our fault for missing our connections because we didn't have longer layovers in O'Hare. I barely made my connection. I know other people did not."
Pros: "Every member of the crew was really helpful, especially since I had a cello with me. They helped me with tips on how the airport and their boarding system worked, and I'm sure they are just as good with families and people carrying heavier luggage."
Pros: "Gate staff were courteous."
Cons: "I had about an hour layover in which I had time to use the restroom and buy lunch. I did these things, then went to wait at the assigned gate. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me, they changed the departing gate for my connecting flight. The concourse area is so crowded and noisy, and announcements are only heard in the immediate gate are, that, though I was sitting only one gate over, I did not hear the boarding calls and missed my flight. I sat in Newark airport for six hours (which included a maintenance problem, gate change and 1 more hour delay) until the departure of the next flight to Burlington."
Pros: "It was on time and a little early"
Cons: "I had to pay to watch any movies which I didn't and service was aloof."
Cons: "Again, United changed my original departure time from Burlington, VT to San Diego (via Chicago) from 10 am to 6:30 am. This meant an overnight stay in Burlington and loss of sleep and my free breakfast. In addition, I was stuck with 4+ hr layover in Chicago. The Chicago terminal was a mass of swarming people. Horrible!"
Cons: "ABSOLUTELY ZERO EMPATHY WHEN 2 MINUTES LATE TO GATE... Was actually mean and let 2 airline crew on while we stood there... plane there... our bags on... especially when United needs a better profile!!"
Pros: "Everything was great except for entertainment."
Cons: "Wi-fi wouldn't work on my phone or iPad. What an extremely long trip with no entertainment. Hopefully it works in the flight baCj home :/"
Pros: "Pilot communication with passengers"
Cons: "No food or drinks due to turbulence. No entertainment offered. You should have a N/A option for these questions."
Pros: "After reading ratings of the US Airlines, I wasn't expecting much of United. The only drawback to a 5 star run was the boarding process. The crew, food, and entertainment were all top notch."
Pros: "Staff did offer two ten-dollar food vouchers as an apology for the inconvenience. They seemed to try to keep us updated on delays."
Cons: "There were probably ten delays over the course of about ten hours. Communication among staff, aircrew, and maintenance teams seemed very poor. Really didn't seem like people knew what they were doing. Very unprofessional and perhaps somewhat uneccessary."
Cons: "I had to changes terminals 2x and flight was delayed 2x."
Pros: "Safe flight"
Pros: "Stewardess was extremely rude"
Pros: "No flight"
Pros: "Gate agent did the best she could with the (limited) info she was given."
Cons: "Multiple hour delay for what was originally described as a 'quick maintenance thing'. In addition, after a 2 hour delay we had a gate change to the far far end of a different terminal."
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "How small the plane was. No room for legs or overhead luggage. Turbulent....not a smooth ride at takeoff or landing probably due to the size of the plane"
Pros: "This flight was canceled due to weather. We rented a car and drove back. During the drive we experienced very brief periods of drizzle rain. The weather radar showed no signs of bad weather in the area. I am all for safety but Is light rain really a valid reason for cancelling a flight, or was this more about a flight that was not fully booked?"
Pros: "All luggage had to go in the belly of the plane. Made boarding way faster. Clean aircraft with pretty comfortable seats."
Pros: "Great short flight"
Cons: "Lack of room in seats and no legroom."
Pros: "Nothing I can think of"
Cons: "Delays with limited information about why or when it might be resolve. Plane extremely uncomfortable."
Cons: "leg room and cabin temp was too high"
Cons: "No food"
Pros: "I liked that half the plane was single seats."
Cons: "We had to detour for a medical emergency that didn't really turn out to be one so we were delayed like an hour in getting to our destination. There was no on board entertainment."
Pros: "Only person in the row so could work sideways."
Cons: "Very cramped, movies and shows require payment"
Pros: "Flight on time and arrived early"
Cons: "Delayed getting out of Newark due to unknown reasons, staff did not communicate with the passengers"
Pros: "The help of a guy called CID at Customer Service"
Cons: "1st flight cancelled due to maintenance; 2nd due to crew (no pilot). The feeling is that they cancelled due to few passengers. Been 9h hours in the airport with a 5 month pregnant wife was not fun (mainly for her). Totally disappointed with United. That never happened to me in life before. And I fly at least 2 X month..."
Pros: "No delays."
Cons: "No complaints."
