Cons: "Waiting to board took almost 2 hours ! We were delayed so many times and sat on the plane for an hour after boarding. I was supposed to land at 6:55 and didn’t land til 9:30 and I was late for work due to poor planning. The pilot even admitted in the announcement that there was a crew problem and maintence problem. I was not happy"

Cons: "Gin availability"
Pros: "The agent at checkin was so kind, nice, professional and superb...I will always fly American Airlines....you have the best checkin agents, best gate agents (super funny yet professional) and also the flight crew was absolutely amazing!"
Cons: "baggage claim in Costa Rica is terrible service...but that is the airports fault since this happens with other airlines.....something has to0 change!!!!"
Pros: "I liked the big 787 plane and the in flight entertainment with individual TVs!"
Cons: "Not a huge fan of the captive audience announcements for the credit card and the meal pre-orders"
Cons: "American’s little buses at DCA suck. Why should I have to wait for everyone who gate checked a bag to get to the terminal? Let me walk to the terminal, get more buses, or get more gates."
Pros: "Boarding, entertainment"
Cons: "Arm rests were immobile, meaning could not take advantage of empty seat next to me."
Pros: "Our luggages were pulled out of the plane without prior consent. Can’t deliver till the next day. Created a traumatic experience for our trip"
Cons: "Mechanical issue caused a 2.5 hour flight delay that made me miss my connection. The hotel selected was unacceptable as it smelled of mold and mildew in the lobby and room. The bed sunk in. I had to return to the airport to get another room"
Cons: "The sound on the entertainment system in my seat didn't work well. Also, the flight was really late getting in to Denver."
Pros: "We landed safely; Beautiful infotainment screen that did NOT work"
Cons: "Extreme delays; Beautiful infotainment screen that did NOT work; Sitting on the runway/tarmac for hours"
Pros: "Pretty average experience nothing bad but nothing superior"
Cons: "Although I understand turbulence is a common experience during a flight, I would have appreciated a bottle of water from crew after they suspended service."
Pros: "Friendly crew, and my wife and I were lucky to have empty seats next to us."
Cons: "Old plane, no food, no in-seat entertainment, drinks only for purchase. This is what air travel was like in the 1980s. A nice throwback flight!"
Pros: "Food and service on flight was wonderful."
Cons: "Flight was 1 1/2 hrs late. Staff in customs were completely rude & had no regard for those of us trying to make connections. Had to spend the night in Philadelphia & placed on PACKED flights thru Chicago, causing even more extended delays home."
Pros: "Great boarding process, and the seats reclined well. Crew was mediocre and could have served water more often."
Cons: "Crew, entertainment wasn’t as good as the internet said"
Pros: "Flight was delayed due to ice storm. AA personnel were calm and kept passengers informed of when we might expected to get the next flight out. They brought in sandwiches, chips and water, which was a thoughtful thing to do."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The man at the gate was rude and tried to tell me I needed to pay 50$ to bring on my small purse, while his assistant said I could put it in my carry-on. Even more strict that Spieit airlines and higher prices. They didn't even bring around drinks because of "turbulence" unless you were first class. The plane shook slightly more than a smooth flight for only a small fraction of the flight."
Cons: "Need to serve more water"
Pros: "There were charging ports for every seat."
Cons: "The flight crew kept going onto the intercom for no reason. Every ten minutes or so someone would get on just to hold the button and let go or say enjoy your flight. Also, there was no food and didn't ask for anyone to board before zone 1, including us service members"
Pros: "The crew on the actual airplane was fine. And we got here."
Cons: "The gate agent was very rude at CLT, and no one was giving us real updates about why our flight was getting delayed, they just kept pushing the time fifteen minutes each time we got close to the boarding time without communication. I get that there’s weight restrictions, but they gate checked my bag on a hardly full flight. I’ve now been waiting an additional 20 minutes after already being delayed over an hour."
Cons: "New cheap fare is honestly offensive trash."
Pros: "Liked having LCD screen for viewing movies and such"
Cons: "Cramped seating, but I guess this is par for the course these days. Pack people in like sardines and make them drool over first class seating."
Cons: "The service had much to be desired. The stewardess who was serving our section was curt and rude. Whenever I would ask for a napkin (that she had forgotten to give with my drink, I might add) or any other questions, she would come off as annoyed and as if I was testing her patience, which I did not appreciate as I had been having a horrible experience with American Airlines as it was. Also, why do you not serve milk with your coffee? The flight only served half and half, and I cannot have cream in my coffee at all. So unless you want to clean up my diarrhea in your toilets, I suggest you start giving options. It's not like milk is a scarce delicacy in the US. How is it that other airlines offer both milk and cream, but I get told by your staff, rudely, that half and half "is milk" and that it's all you have? Unbelievable. I hate to be a b*** but honestly this isn't the first time that I got treated like this on AA. I always seem to have a horrible experience with this airline."
Pros: "Quick boarding and luggage pickup."
Cons: "Mediocre staff. In my experience United is more friendly and welcoming."
Cons: "Felt sufforcation again and flight was delayed"
Pros: "Flight was smooth with no issues whatsoever!"
Pros: ".????"
Cons: "Overcharged, problem with res (caused by AA) caused me to line up to check in. Had to pay for checked bags which I still don't get. Boarding was a cattle market and guess what they ran out of overhead space so they gate checked bags free of charge. . Rest of flight unimpressive. I try to avoid AA but they had the only direct flight to my destination. sometimes a connection is preferable"
Pros: "Sea was decent and flight on time wot"
Cons: "Entertainment system ridiculous. Doesn't work on Android or 64 bit Windows. Useless"
Pros: "This airline is evil."
Pros: "All of the flight attendants were amazing and went above and beyond."
Pros: "I liked how efficient the landing was, and how quick food was served."
Cons: "We were not given a lot of information about takeoff and we left 2 hours late. Also, the staff was pretty unfriendly. A guy got sick and threw up, and a couple of flight attendants made a big show of it and made him feel badly."
Pros: "flying alone I had lots of room"
Pros: "It was good fly can't complaint the attention was great"
Cons: "When I was flying to Arkansas from NY they didn't give anything to eat"
Cons: "I had reserved seats 31A and 15C for my flights 1561 and 6779, goinf Frankfurt to Dallas, and Dallas to San Jose. The charge for reserving seats was $182.03. Instead, I was put in mid-row seats 42D and 24E, on both flights. No notification or explanations from American Airlines or Kayak, and no refund...yet. Any comments?"
Pros: "Friendly-on time-Huntsville personnel first rste."
Cons: "Tsa wait"
Pros: "The first leg of trip had a newer aircraft......potentially due to the "mechanical delay" that started the fiasco."
Cons: "I don't usually do reviews, but this experience has prompted me too. I usually pick American over other airlines even if the price is slightly higher but after this last fiasco I doubt I will fly with them again. From the start of the trip there was a delay. I was told that I would have to stay in a hotel in Charlotte because I would miss my connecting flight. I agreed and waited for my flight that was nearly 2 hours late. I arrived in Charlotte and retrieved my bag as instructed and went to the counter. The lady then stated that it was probably best if I tried to get on the last remaining flight even though it showed sold out because "there have been delays all day and plenty of people have been missing their connecting flights". So I rechecked my bag and headed to the game. This flight was delayed, as it was the last for the night, so that all the connecting flights could be made. Okay, that is fair enough....even though I didn't get to board and now I no longer had my bag as this is now on the plane. 30 minutes after the plane left I finally get my voucher for motel along with a $12 voucher for food that can only be used in the terminal restaurants......which are now closed for the night. After 30 minutes of trying to contact the hotel for shuttle information I was advised that they were no longer taking airline vouchers. I , again, approached the ticket counter and I was advised that I "would just have to wait because there are no rooms in the system at this time." And none of this instruction seemed professional or accommodating. After another hour I was approached that now there are no other options in their system for accommodations and I would have to pursue options on my own. So......the higher priced one way ticket just became $100 more at no fault of my own."
Pros: "The professionalism of the crew."
Cons: "The flight left late and they did not explain why their was a delay. The landing was not smooth. It was a rough landing."
Cons: "It was freezing."
Pros: "No food served. Late take off. Seats cramped. Forced to carry on bags, then asked to check for free, if they don't fit. That forces everyone to fight to get on the plane, to get the best place for their luggage. Why not remove the $25 fee on the checking the first bag?"
Pros: "Flight attendants were ok"
Cons: "I left my cellphone with a wallet case with all my important information including military ID in the seat pocket. American Airlines has NO BODY I can talk to to locate my device. I had to fill out a form online and now I am stuck waiting up to 30 days to find it."
Pros: "From the onset of booking the flight, checking in, the crew. And the The soft landing!!"
Pros: "I got home"
Cons: "No tvs"
Cons: "My flight was delayed 2+ hours which made me miss my connecting flight & not make it to my destination until the next day ."
Cons: "When we got off the plane in LA from Sydney they told us our flight to Boston was cancelled, and the next avail option home was in 12 hours. We spent two hours with them and on the phone trying to work out different options to get home sooner, when they brought the flight back again, cancelled it again and then eventually brought it back. The customer service agent on the phone said the flight was on, while the agent on the ground said it was cancelled. They were all confused. Caused an unnecessary amount of stress and work. Would make me think twice about ever flying with American again"
