Got to Dubai for a wedding and our luggage didn’t make it. There were five of us flying together. No one got their bags. We landed at 1030 pm and went to out first event that night in the same track suit I flew in. Awful airline. Never again."

Pros: "Air China is a good solid performer...with modern planes and decent staff. Clean, On-time, safe. Our 748-8 had a modern entertainments system. Seats a bit tight for a 5'10 guy...but fine for my 5'1" wife."
Cons: "PEK boarding ramps really rundown at PEK. Signage for Immigration misleading. Range of local overnight hotels is more aimed at smoking business travelers from China....not some must Americans and Europeans. Transfers to and from airport can be unreliable...especially for very early or late flights. Coris hotel is a safe but expensive choice...with excellent staff and transit vans."

Seriously..i paid 5k for this ticket..my bags were checked in to my final destination but at the third destination i was told there was no transfer service ( at guangzhou) snd that i needed to claim it and check it back in even though i cleared immigration at beijing..no one speaks english and will send you in circles around beijing airport..bad bad bad"

Food was absolutely terrible ! Beijing airport was very dirty and disorganized Will not fly with them again – too many problems."

Cons: "We had a 12 hour flight and not once was the fasten seatbelt sign turned off despite the weather being very smooth. How do they expect people to not pee for 12 hours? Seats were hard as a rock. Staff seemed unhappy and definitely were not courteous. I asked for a glass of wine with my meal and it took them well over an hour to bring it. They say to turn off your cellphone for the whole flight. Airplane mode was not said to be okay and my husband is a rule follower and wouldnt let me use my phone in airplane mode. Definitely no wifi available if you wanted that."

Pros: "For $250 less than Cathay and China Southern, the price was very good. Nothing fancy but it got the job done reasonably. There were about 40 empty seats. I was on the window seat. There was a lady on the isle seat. The middle seat was empty so it gave us some room to stretch. Food was basic but was sufficient. Wine for dinner but not breakfast. Restroom was spacious and clean. Landing was perfect. Luggage went to carousel before I got there. Very fast. Very good value."
Cons: "There were a few passengers in a tour group constantly broadcast their conversations to the entire cabinet. Maybe they were very excited about the trip but they did not have to wake up other people and ruin their moods. This is probably not the airline's fault but it went to the overall experiences."
