Cons: "Air conditioning was not working. Very hot on plan. Light switch above my seat was broken. Luggage crew cracked off one of the “feet” on my luggage. Overall terrible service and flight."
Pros: "Good crew. Multiple options on entertainment, if I so chose. Roomy seat. Arrived safely."
Cons: "Had to pay $180+ extra to get a seat with decent leg room. Had small child next to me who was not well behaved. Limited bathrooms. Cooler vent blowing right on me which I couldn't move. Long delay before and after boarding, and left an hour late."
Pros: "Good crew"
Cons: "This flight had no snacks or drinks and was also delayed what else is there to say."
Pros: "First class is amazing"
Pros: "The crew was great. The seats, though cramped, were nice to have electronic device holders instead of built in screens."
Cons: "The flight was 9 hours and they didn't provide any meals. That's ridiculous. When I fly with any other airline for over 7 hours I've always gotten 1 meal, if not 2. The food for purchase however, was very good. But they should not expect you to pay."
Cons: "Now United is showing the struggle by selling food on board the plain. Thats not a good sign of business for loyal travelers"
Pros: "Not much, no internet, small seats, cost doubled because I had to know pay hotel for a night."
Cons: "Flight was 4 hrs late arriving, therefore I missed my connection flight to Dallas. I had to spend the night at a cost of $200.00 at Holiday Inn, arrived 24 hrs later. Not United fault, weather related. This is my 3rd United flight that was delayed by hours. Get first flight out in morning, less chance for hours of delay."
Pros: "Still feel like the $125 price tag added for Econ Plus is an example of price gouging. Fortunately, there was only one other person in my row which created a little extra space. But there’s no way to make that long a flight in Economy “enjoyable.” Broader entertainment choices would help."
Pros: "Delayed by 2 hours"
Cons: "I had broken table on my seat, then I needed to jump for eating several times."
Pros: "On time, friendly crew."
Cons: "Even though we reserved well in advanced my wife and I got middle seats in different rows. Fortunately, we both got aisle seats (the last ones available) but of course in different rows when we signed in for our tickets."
Pros: "The flight went very smoothly from start to finish"
Pros: "I had no problems the gate agent was very nice and I did get the basic economy which that only did I have to pay for my bags but I also got the last seat in the back in the corner which is OK I guess I’ll pay more attention to the fair I still probably saved a little money but I don’t know that I save that much I think that sometimes the boarding agent needs to pay attention to the carry-on luggage for sure bring a lot carry-on luggage which doesn’t allow for others to have carry-on luggage who were in the later groups and then they get penalized with their bags being checked as there’s no more room and they’re not basic economy but other than that I like taking United they have nonstop service between Orlando in Houston and it’s been a wonderful experience most of the time and I think the airlines do a pretty good job considering the traveling public themselves to be very challenging at times professionalism and courtesy works both ways and unfortunately people buy tickets and think that it’s a one-way street. they then run to the media who loves to make it about the big guy versus the little guy anyway good job united and I will continue to fly you when you’re the most appropriate carrier to get me to where I want to be."
Cons: "Nothing I just need to pay more attention to my ticket purchase I didn’t realize it was a basic economy until after I bought it which meant I had to pay for my bags which added $50 to my fair which wasn’t that big a deal but then I got a seat all the way the back in the corner which really wasn’t that bad either but if I went to Carrynon a bag I was allowed to do so"
Pros: "Crew were helpful. They got the plane boarded early for an early takeoff. It was easy getting from landing gate to my next takeoff gate."
Cons: "The boarding was a little quicker and more controlled."
Pros: "The crew was one of most pleasurable group that I've flown with. Polite AND funny!"
Cons: "Flight was over 4 hours late and they just 20 mins ups to death!! Had to spend lots of $$$ on urber tp get home because my ride that was cpming at 11:00 pm could not come at 4:30.am since most people have to work."
Pros: "Fast and easy to check in and get on my plane."
Cons: "Nothing went wrong really for me."
Cons: "Continuously moving departure time back."
Pros: "The flight taking off on time is the only good thing."
Cons: "They forced us to pay for a checked bag at the gate even though the person who checked us in said our bags were okay to board with. They charged more at the gate."
Pros: "The flight was delayed but on the ground staff were very helpful in providing announcements. The on board attendants were friendly and competent."
Cons: "This was an aged 737, with narrow, cramped seats and thin, hard plastic armrests. The first class seats were smaller than the Premium Economy ones I flew recently on Norwegian Air. The Economy seats were pure torture -- angled oddly in a way that forced your back to curve, with zero legroom even in the Economy Plus section. I tried putting my purse behind me in an effort to alleviate back pain. It was a miserable trip. In contrast my short flight to Santa Barbara was on a newer plane with wide, comfortable seats. There is no way they should use such an old aircraft on a 4 hour trip."
Pros: "Cleanliness, Everything"
Cons: "Multiple delays"
Pros: "Short flight.... no food or ENT. But quick easy and pretty on time. Thx."
Cons: "No wifi"
Cons: "Flight was at 0700. Delayed until 0831 then 0900. Then we were taxi-ing for an hour. Didn't depart until a little after 1000."
Pros: "The pasta dinner was good, the seats still had in-screen entertainment, and we got 2 seats together by ourselves!"
Cons: "The very back of the plane. United must have changed the type of plane as our seat assignments didn't make sense. Thankfully, we were able to change them when checking in at Newark airport."
Pros: "Fast flight"
Pros: "They need larger overhead bins . It was hard to fit my carryon bag. I would prefer almonds as snacks. There was only paid entertainment available."
Cons: "Food, space, entertainment options."
Pros: "The snacks were great"
Cons: "Clearly a new flight crew. They needed some more practice with efficiency and reading the statements they are required to make. Previous flight was over an hour late arriving at the airport meaning that our flight was just as late departing for our flight. First we were told the flight was 20 minutes late, then 8 minutes late, then 40 minutes late, then 55 minutes late... Every time they told us the incoming flight was about to land."
Pros: "The free internet and movies"
Cons: "The delayed flight"
Pros: "The flight wasn't too packed."
Cons: "My husband and I flew from Newark to Atlanta on 03/12/2017 with United. My husband is active duty military and Alicia assisted us with checking in our baggage. She was very kind and helpful. After retrieving our tickets, we went through Security and my goodness, the process at Newark is awful and TSA WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. That's besides the point. Our flight was delayed because the pilot was not there. Our departure was at 0605 and we didn't leave until 0630. Everyone boarded the plane and we were waiting for the pilot. Then the crew members were pretty rude and not friendly. I know it's an early bird flight but jeez, they can be a little nicer. One stewardess had high heel boots and literally would stomp up and down the aisle. Then she kept saying my purse was not under my seat which it clearly was. I don't know where else she'd like me to put it, maybe in the passengers seat in front of me. I would probably not fly United unless I have no other choice."
Pros: "Too many delays to be able to take the flight."
Pros: "The flight crew was kind, informative, and helpful. Very professional."
Cons: "Day I did not select. I'm furious."
Pros: "The crew was very friendly, very professional. The plan was very clean (it helps being new!)."
Cons: "I'm 6'3" , I wouldn't say this was United's fault but the truncated seat size is endemic to the entire industry. But It was SO CRAMPED."
Pros: "The variety of movies and music to listen to. Very comfortable"
Cons: "The quality of food could be better. I always order a Hindu meal not because that's my background but because it has more flavor than a standard meal"
Cons: "In the last moment they asked to take the latest passenger's carry on because it didn't have space enough. I was really uncomfortable with that because I had fragile things inside my carry on and. This is totally desorganized. I paid for the flight and this is include bring my carry on with me. Also, the United Airline's website is totally confuse, not clear."
Cons: "The flight was delayed three times once after boarding, It was five hours late"
Pros: "In flight entertainment worked. Staff was friendly."
Cons: "I had no issue with the delay, things happen. I was dealing with a knee injury and the gate plan had us all over the airport. It was quite frustrating to get to a gate in another terminal only to get told we were being moved back to the terminal we had just come from! Then that gate was changed again, involving another long walk on said bad knee!"
Pros: "Flight cancelled"
Cons: "Flight cancelled. Had to wait 30 minutes to speak to United service rep to rebook to Boston. No other Manchester flights. Forced to check carry ons. There were 10 terminals for service reps and only five reps. Line was very long and reps were in no hurry to assist. Not a pleasant experience. They should pay us a cancellation fee like they charge us when we cancel. Incurred additional expense getting to Manchester, NH. Not happy with United."
Pros: "That the flight came in to London 30 mins sooner than its scheduled time."
Cons: "Terrible behavior by the crew. It felt truly humiliating to be spoken to condescendingly by them and treated very badly."
Pros: "Food and in flight service"
Pros: "My daughter and I sat in Economy Plus which was great because it was towards the front and plenty of leg room. We both have long legs, so this extra comfort made our flight much better and relaxing."
Cons: "One of the Flight Attendants was crabby and unpleasant. This was the first time I've ever had an unpleasant Flight Attendant on a United Flight. I travel quite a bit for business and always try to fly United. I always carry a large purse which always stays on my lap and her and I went back and forth because she insisted that I put it on the floor under the seat. This really upset me."
Pros: "The boarding process was excellent, smooth, orderly and expedient."
Cons: "The stewardess unassuming behavior."
Pros: "The stewardess was personable. The staff at the United Club reception desk, helped with a seating problem on my return trip."
Cons: "The climate of both planes was not great. It may have to do with the age of the plane."
Pros: "Made flight smooth and enjoyable courtesy of the pilot and cabin crew excellent customer service"
Cons: "Carry on compartment most of the time is full."
Cons: "My flight got canceled down, had to rent a car, my flight on the way back "accidentally" got cancelled by staff, and had to deal with a delayed flight and running through the airport to catch my connection. Didn't get my bags back until the next day, and overall spent a lot of time fixing problems..."
