Cons: I was flying standby. I checked the list on line and my name was number 5. I get to the gate and there’s just a handful of customers. The agent said there was enough seats for the standbys I wait and wait for my name to be called but no luck. My name wasn’t cleared yet. Finally I was the next to last one to get a seat. The gate agent who didn’t ask for my name tells me I was all the down at the bottom of the list. While I am glad that I got on I wish I knew what method is use to get your name on the stand by list?

Pros: The gluten-free dinner was amazing. There was even gluten-free bread! Also, I always appreciate the free Wifi for messaging!! Also, despite there being a lot of turbulence, everyone did well. I prayed for safety and for the pilots and crew; the turbulence stopped after that and our arrival wasn't all that delayed.
Cons: The gluten-free breakfast was extremely disappointing. Yogurt, a tiny cup of fruit, and veggie sticks??? What about a gluten-free English muffin with egg instead? The boarding was a little confusing. I was one of the last to board in my group because I couldn't see from where I was sitting - I thought priority was still boarding, but group 2 was already up. Also, please be more kind to baggage.

Pros: Very late flight. Left on time, arrived 25 minutes early! Cabin crew were friendly and cared for everybody's comfort. They distributed a lot of extra munchies. They had real almonds instead of the usual 1/3 ounce peanuts, isn't that wonderful? Lights went off early and stayed that way so that the passengers could easily sleep through the flight. Uneventful flight, and therefore enjoyable.
Cons: I had chosen 10C in the Comfort+ section of this MD90 plane. I did get my knee bumped more than once. I still like the seat because I can stretch my legs, but people should be aware of the bumping issue; it can be rather painful, and you do not get an apology.

They were narrow and hard as a board, like sitting on a wood fold out chair. We were delayed 2.5 hours and they wouldn’t turn the air up, so we melted.

Cons: We were able to upgrade to a business class seat (row 1) just 2 days before the flight since we had put in a bid a month before to do so if it was accepted. I felt very taken advantage of to only have access to that part of the plane giving us more leg room for $200 upgrade for each seat. When does a Business Class seat NOT recline??? We just barely made our connecting flight and our next flight was way better in service. The flight attendant told us we had enough time to make it to our next flight but I honestly ran from one point of the airport to the other. The staff said it wasn’t that far and no checkpoints to go through - this information was false.

Considering I took six flights in this month, I will let it slide that they ran out of New movies. Worst part was food. Obviously, there is no quality consideration when they decide menu. Check Emirates or other similar fare bracket airlines to understand the gravity of Lufthansa food problem. If one reason I had to choose to drop Lufthansa from my future consideration then that would be worst food and drinks. I would strongly recommend that they should assign people who need additional time to board at the back of the plane. It will help them to go back of the plane faster and avoid gridlock in the middle. Another advantage is it will help other passengers leave plane faster at the end of the ride. Boarding process will be come significantly faster by filling the plane from back to front by loading passanger with children and who needs time at the first loading area at the back of the plane. Totally unorganized. Not this way in Japan.

Cons: They ran out of breakfast. Seat configuration was 3-3-3 in economy and not 2-4-2 like on the JAL flight on the way to Japan. The level of professionalism is much higher on JAL in regards to the flight attendants than AA. The boarding process still needs a lot of work to be more organized (take a look at JAL as an example - they treat customers like kings and queens). Also, there was no way to get a seat assignment through the JAL website. That website looks and acts like it’s from the late 90s.

Cons: American Airlines is running neck and neck with United, competing for the world’s worst airline. They have crammed so many seats onto their planes that I’m surprised it isn’t a health hazard. And the flight attendants had the typical U.S. flight attendant perma-rage, of course. I feel sorry for them, underpaid and overworked, but always p***ed off. Cons: Originally, I was scheduled to take a JAL flight from NRT to DFW, but for some reason, American Airlines switched the service to their own aircraft and crew. If I would have known that beforehand, I would not have purchased my ticket through AA.com. During my original online booking, the screen said JAL service from NRT to DFW. Just about everything was bad about my American Airlines flight. I travel to and from America several times a year from Asia. Each time I travel, I swear I will never fly an American based airline for the trans-Pacific portion of my flight. My latest experience with American Airlines only reinforces that resolution. The in-cabin crew is (and I'm being nice) pathetic! They are veteran flight attendants and they look and act like they could care less about the customers on the flight. Frankly, I'm just downright disgusted with the service and personalities of the American crew's attitude. They act like they are old and tired, uninterested in quality service, and that we (the passengers) are an imposition upon their life. For example, mid-flight, I walk to the back of the airplane for something to drink, instead of assisting me they point to a "station" at the Emergency Exit door stocked with random drinks and snacks. While they are chit-chatting, looking at their smartphones and reading newspapers, books, and Kindle-type devices. That has never happened on an Asian-based airline flight. Another example, in-flight food service, the cabin crew members are waking people up to serve food and, instead of being gentle and cordial, they are rude and impatient. My 2 row mates were both Asian, and because of being awakened and the ambient noise in the aircraft, they could not hear what the flight attendant was asking. So, with a tone of impatience and disrespect, the flight attendant virtually shouted at them their choices for the meal. Whatever happened to the "customer is always right" or the "customer is king"? My renewed resolution: I will no longer fly American-based (because Delta is even worse) airlines to and from Asia. If needed, I will pay the higher fees and fares to fly anyone of a number of Asian-based carriers. It is worth it for the 24 hours it takes me to cross the Pacific. I am sick and tired of the begrudged and entitled attitude of the archaic cabin crews of American-based airlines.

Pros: Very comfortable and enough drink service.

Cons: AA charges extra for a lot of the economy seats which they claim are "premium" but do not warrant the excessive price tag.

Pros: I flew Tokyo to Vegas and the entertainment was great.
Cons: They cancelled my flight vis lax and put me on a flight vis Dallas. That added about 7 hours to my journey. Then they sit on the tarmac for 50 minutes doing nothing on both of the two flights.

Cons: I bought tickets for JAL Japan Airlines but it was American Airlines !! If I know that when I buy tickets I don't buy it !! I will not buy tickets at KYAK anymore.

Pros: Crew pleasant. Food nice.

Pros: The in flight entertainment consoles were nice with a great selection of recent movies, which was nice since the flight was 12 hours. The food was alright but nothing to write home about.
Cons: The seating space was much more cramped than the JAL flight I took over to Japan. It was awkwardly close to your neighbor when getting adjusted with seat belts and such. This would have been OK for a shorter flight but a bit too close for comfort for a 12 hour one.

Pros: Comfy and friendly. What's not to like up front?

Pros: Sears had more room than as medal, service and hospitality much improved over as. Dinner and breakfast were scrumptious and drink choices were abundant.

Pros: I was one of the wheelchair passengers, obviously I was struggling and asked an attendant to help me with my carry on bag to be stowed in the bin above the seat. SHe said she can't because she will be greeting the passengers!!! Anotherattendant finally helped me but it is disconcerting to be received like that by one of the crew. I did get helped by Ms Gonzales getting off the plane , I am very grateful that despite the first unpleasant attendant, there was a nice one among the lot.
Cons: I 'm not sure if this is the venue for my complaint. When we landed in DFW there were 13 passengers on wheelchairs but there were only 3pushers.. there were 2 of us that were left and abandoned for about 40 minutes, I finally had to leave my chair and push the other lady's chair through passport control. Finally one AirServ pusher helped us with our luggage through custom and then transfer. I got to my gate 3 and 1/2 hours after we landed.

Cons: The flight attendants were rude and short. They were not welcoming and an attendant asked if I could "just pick the meat out" of the food considering I am a vegetarian. That is unacceptable and overall they just seemed annoyed that they were working on that flight and did NOT go beyond to make the 13+ hour flight comfortable.

Cons: As usual bad luggage handling in USA. At passport control, noticed that my luggage handle was removed half way but I had to re-check in the luggage and airline people did nothing about the handle with tag. And the luggage was lost. Can someone study how other country luggage handler care about customers ' luggage? Save your operation cost!

Cons: Better seating... seats are small and crampy. The flight attendants were not friendly and attentive. I pressed the call button 3 times within an hour to receive headphones and they never came. My neighbor let me borrow hers. The food was terrible. Not many vegan options.

Cons: Spending 2hrs to get out of customs, 20 min ride from to terminal 1 for transfer, another long line through security, missed the flight to msp with in 5min. I would avoid Chicago in the future.

Cons: I flew the first leg of my trip with ANA and the next leg with United and I certainly noticed a difference in terms of customer service. They are less friendly and seemed to have spent more time with a couple of passengers who appeared they know personally than the rest of the passengers.

Pros: I love everything and ANA is so care about every details for customers. Food is good, service is good ,and thank you for the great time.
Cons: I really really really very very hate United. everything about UA. worst service, worst cost, and everything.

Pros: The 737-900 was good and loading seemed pretty fast. The gate agent was very friendly and genuine.
Cons: Weather delay, then an aircraft change due to that, and finally an additional 20 minute delay due to a late crewmember which was not fully explained. If the crew member had also been deleted by the weather I would not have felt so bad about the additional delay.

Pros: Staff was great and always helpful and efficient. Food was good on this flight. They made it seem like it was not as long as it was.

Pros: We were 2 min late for check in and the agent got our bags and got them on the plane

Pros: Tailwinds made the trip arrive earlier than expected even with a slight delay boarding due to the jet not arriving exactly on time. The ERJ's are really nice with the updated seats and tray table in the armrest. It was only an hour and a half flight, so no real way to rate food or entertainment.

Cons: When purchase we were told that this flight was operated by ANA airline and we got an ANA flight number, but turns out that it was United Airline and the service was much worse than ANA airline.

Pros: Service and food were great. Flight was smooth and a lot of leg room. Will definitely fly again.

Pros: Punctual flight and not filled to last seat. Excellent amber beer.option, no extra charge for beer or wine. Crew members were friendly and eager to please. They were happy to supply extra snacks and coffee or water between regular service. Seat reservations were properly done (unlike a flight in June on Etihad).
Cons: In boarding, putting groups 3, 4, and 5 in the same line works poorly. Location of electric outlets needs better (i.e. some) documentation; had to ask crew. The heat fluctuated between too warm and too cold; had to put on and take off a fleece every 10-15 minutes. Chicken option for dinner rated spicy, so had to opt for pasta. No Asian options on flight from Japan; sad. So-so movie selection, controlling screen not very easy, screen often too dark. The list of movies in the United Magazine was incomplete and inaccurate. The size limits on carry-on bags and personal items was smaller than other airlines, unnecessarily so for the latter given the size of the space under the seat in front. United is inconveniencing customers without any justification.

Cons: The plane was coming from the hanger and we departed over 2 hours late because we had to wait for a tug to get the plane to the gate.

Pros: Being Asian, I consider myself lucky that my United flight wasn't overbooked or else I might have been forcibly removed from my seat and dragged out of the aircraft like a sack of potatoes with a bloody nose, and then United CEO adding insult to injury by apologizing to all the passengers in the flight EXCEPT me. Outrageous. I have flown almost 2 million miles on United but this ugly inexcusable incident gives me serious doubts about this airline's true character.

Cons: After having several flights with international airlines while in Thailand for the last 2 weeks, it was quite a disappointment to spent 12 hours on this UA flight. There was a 6-8 hour period during our flight were flight attendants did not ask or even consider walking the isles and asking the passengers if they needed any water or anything else. During several flights in Thailand, the attendants were constantly catering to every passengers' needs. The difference between the flight attendants from Bangkok to Tokyo compared to Tokyo to DC was worlds apart. The Japanese attendants were as friendly as ever and took care of all the passengers needs. The flight attendants were flat out rude. There was once event on this flight that I could not believe. A child of 5-7 years old had to go to the restroom with his mother. The flight attendant was collecting trash from our meal. Even though she knew the child was behind her and needed to go to the restroom, she would not stop collecting trash, move her cart so that the boy and his mother could get to the restroom. Instead, she continued collecting trash and made the boy wait until she was done. I feel embarrassed for the foreigners who were on this flight and this was their first impression of America and Americans. The main meal that was served was a breaded chicken patty served with a slurry of questionable gravy, rice, and a roll. I received better food on multiple 1 hour flights while in Thailand. The comfort level was what you would expect from most American airlines-tight and cramped. I will never book with United for another international flight.

Pros: The flight took off on time and landed early. Well done in the flight deck!
Cons: The quality of the food served (in economy) on this flght was far below what is normaly expect from United (which isn't much!). If this is United's new meal service for trans-Pacific flights then Delta may be a better option for future "cattle class" flights... The flight was fully booked in all classes. The flight attendants were lazy, at best, and I seriously question their training and competence. I travel this route on a regular basis, every three months, and I've never experienced such poor quality of service from United.

Pros: As always, Japanese carriers are very, VERY professional and delightful to fly with. Very attractive, efficient, and friendly staff always make ANA flights awesome.
Cons: ANA is the epitome of full service, and has among the highest costs in the industry. So why did I have pillows on my mid-day HKG-NRT flight, but no pillows on the redeye (0145 departure) HND-HKG? I was shocked. I used my shoes as a pillow. Really shocked! I don't expect pillows on an LCC or other cost-conscious carrier, but HND-HKG in the middle of the night? Really??

Cons: it's practically frozen TV dinner box. For a flight about 10 hours, this is making the trip extra hard.
