This feels like I’m being treated as a second class citizen because I was unwilling to be nickel and dimed for seat or boarding upgrades. It’s infuriating"

Cons: "The FLIGHT!!!!! There were delays. Scheduled take of time was 6:59 PM. We took off at 735 PM. Once I was on the plane, I started kicking myself in the you know what because I knew immediately I was scammed. I had purchased a 1st Class ticket for $400+, only to find that my comfort would be the equivalent of that if I purchased a ticket in economy. My long legs would still be cramped. For the past few years, I have been purchasing 1st class for it's spaciousness. On this flight, on the RCJ700, I did not fly comfortably. The space was very tight, and I was able to stretch my legs as if I sat in economy. This was by far, my most uncomfortable flight ever. SMH; A WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!!"

Pros: "But, this wasn't bad at all, even though we were on the very last seat of the plane. We were next to one of the flight attendants during take off and landing and she was very kind and we were speaking with her. The flight was smooth"

Cons: "I purchased a first class ticket in hopes that I would have a lot more comfort during the flight. It took me quite some time to get comfortable. The seat was ok, but I found the pillows to be very small and flat. I needed multiple pillows. The head rest was not adjustable, so I also found this to be uncomfortable. Usually when I fly AA, the headrest is adjustable. My final dislike was that the beverage selection was limited. I'm quite sure there was plenty of alcohol, but what about those customers who do not drink alcoholic beverages? I asked for hot chocolate, there was none. I asked for hot tea with honey, there wasn't any. So all in all my flight was okay, but that is solely because of the flight attendant and pilot. They did their jobs and they did an excellent job."

Cons: "I didn't like that I had to take a bus to my terminal. I didn't like the fact that my gate was changed more than five times. I didn't like that my flight time was changed more than 15 times with no reason why until boarding time. I didn't like the fact that I did not get a seat assignment until boarding the plane. I didn't like the fact that they couldn't manage to scramble another plane and crew, but instead forced us to wait over four hours for one that was stuck somewhere else in the country."

Pros: "I upgraded for more legroom (still in coach), which also included earlier boarding. Unfortunately that does not guarantee odifect verhead storage will be available. The meal and "free" movies were a nice surprise. Maybe I overlooked mention that those were included in the upgrade, but I appreciated it. I do wish I had known meal was included otherwise I would not have eaten at the terminal. Ice cream was also a nice touch. Actually, the food is really good."
Cons: "Paid extra for legroom, which was sufficient. The seats however were still far too narrow. The passenger next to me were in a constant battle for the armrest. I didn't really feel comfortable in that respect."

Exhausted passengers were extremely angry. Each time the flight was delayed, the gate agents waited until the “Boarding in...” status screen reached 0 before announcing the next delay. Not cool."

The cancellations were happening with British Airlines and they were not working with American Airlines to help us out to get to the game on time."

Cons: "We loaded late and than sat in the plane awhile before we left. No explanation was given. Once we arrived in Charlie we sat on the tarmac for 20 min. No explanation. Than we waited 20 min fir our carry on luggage to arrive. We were told we had to check it. By the time we arrived at our gate they had given outlet seats away. They were not very polity ir helpful."

Pros: "Both American flights (on Airbus 321, I think) I've taken in the past two weeks had comfortable seating with great legroom. My knees were not knocking the seat in front of me! Seat width also comfortable. Not sure how I lucked up on both flights!"

So we had to go down 20mns before reaching Charlotte to a nearby airport to get fueled up and then went back in the air. The whole ordeal made me miss my connection flight to Barcelona! And I wasn't able to get on a flight until the next day. To make matters worse I had to flight back to New York to catch the flight to Barcelona! Unbelievable. I was beyond disappointed. I chose American Airlines for a reason, a good one at that. Yet this happened."

Cons: "The first class flight attendants were VERY RUDE to the passengers getting on the plane, especially the male flight attendant. While serving drinks, instead of saying things like "pardon me", they would say "move" (as was said directly to me) and get out of the way" (as I herd him say to another passinger). Very disrespectful way to treat a person, let alone a paying customer! Btw...I am a middle class 5' 11" tall college educated male."

Cons: "The AA employee at the counter in Batoj Rouge informed me that I would miss my connection at Charlotte Airport due to a delayed in the incoming flight. Hebgave me the option to flight the next day or flight the same day, and after a 2 hour delay flight to Charlotte where I would be provided a hotel room and a meal for the night. I asked several times if that information was confirmed and he repeatedly said yes. At my arrival at Charlotte Airport (near midnight) every AA employee said that they did NOT have any more hotels. It was obvious that everything was a staged lie since over 100 people had to spend the night in one of the the terminals where we were provided a pillow and a blanket. I am terribly disappointed for the lack of transparency in AA. I was told my some friends that they also have had experiences like that at the same Charlotte Airport. You have damage once again your reputation and from no own in will expect THE WORST from AA."

Cons: "Arrived very early due to logistics and our flight was not leaving for 9 hrs and the AA Representative would only put us on a earlier flight if we paid a large fee, so we waited then the original flight was delayed 2 hours and we nearly missed our connection in another city, it all could have been avoided if a little flexability and care were involved to put us on a earlier flight"

This made it hard to actually board and know where the line was. Once on the plane the seats just seemed very uncomfortable."

Cons: "The 4 hour delay. First, the plane was running late from San Francisco (about 2 hours late). The second delay was due to someone putting way too much fuel in the plane so we had to wait for the excess fuel to be removed. Then the flight attendants ended their shift so we had to wait for another crew that was flying in from Denver. This involved us having to remove all of our things from the overhead bin and get off the plane and re-board about an hour and half later. I was supposed to make it to Dallas at 8:45 and instead didn't make it until after 12:30. It was extremely inconvenient and unpleasant. I have not experienced such a nightmare before with any previous airlines."

Pros: "How can you overbook a flight?! Thank god someone gave up their seat for me or I would have missed my connecting flight in Chicago. I paid $600 and was told because I'm basic economy I wasn't guarenteed a seat. Terrible!! And then I couldn't use my backpack (small school sized) as my personal bag and had to pay the $25 to check it! Come on United."

Cons: "Still stuck on th tarmac an hour and a half after landing in Dallas because of lightning weather conditions and no ground crew to bring the plane in. Can't they wear a rubber suit or something??"

Cons: "I had to run to customs to pass by then I had to run to luggage check in run to the shuttle to catch to terminal hurry through security and then my luggage is still not found or waiting to land in Dallas from Chicago."

Cons: "Dear United Airlines, It is my dearest wish that reading the following inflicts upon you at least a fraction of the stress, frustration, and pain that I have been through traveling with you today- you absolutely abhorrent excuse for a company. Due to your incomparable incompetence my arrival was inexcusably delayed almost 12 hours. An account follows: For a company who's customer service is already hanging by a very thin thread you would think that you would be doing everything to make your flights as smooth and pleasant as possible. Shall I elaborate on the utter frustration and boredom of being trapped in the San Francisco airport facing not one, not two, but what became SEVEN delays? Delays that have been caused by runway maintenance- a condition which someone in your company would have known about well before I got to the airport and that you simply did not plan for. A almost FOUR HOUR delay that could have been easily avoided if you just had things together and scheduled your planes around the affected runways. And let's not forget the additional delay caused when your flight crew simply couldn't be found to come to the gate so we could start getting underway! But no, I think the absolutely outstanding quintessential experience that defines flying with United airlines is this: After the above delays myself and my fellow passengers were finally able to board our flight- only to be told by the captain that there would be another brief delay while we waited for ANOTHER crew member because one of the pilots was near the end of their union hours. We sit on the plane stuck for another 20 minuets or so, only to be told they can't find anyone, and can we please get off the plane because our WHOLE FLIGHT is CANCELED. The kiosk I get to try and fix this is uncrowded but understaffed and run by clearly undertrained employees. The ones I'm dealing with keep having to ask each other for help, and give advice/plans that contradict one another. One of theme even takes what seems to be a personal call while 'assisting' me. When I finally get ahold of a supervisor I have to plead to get the next flight out of this godforsaken place, which I am reluctantly given as its with one of your competitors. Talking with other customer and airport staff is sounds very much like you are delaying/canceling flights for your own personal gain or at least not correcting flights around the situation to squeeze more money from the situation) it becomes quite clear that you are not only still incapable of accepting any real measure of accountability but entirely disgracefully unorganized.  Almost 12 hours later I do finally make it home- thanks to American Airlines.  Only to have the utter displeasure of one last interaction with United wherein when I pick up my bag your employees insist that I was delayed due to the weather and it wasn't your fault. It was entirely absolutely your fault."

Cons: "Flight delayed 5 hours for crew to come from another city that was 1 hr away, when they can just have someone from that city to work plane."

Pros: "I traveled for 2 weeks, took 7 planes. This was the single worst flight of the entire trip. The attendants were not very friendly but the plane was disgustingly dirty. Trash was left from previous flight and the restroom was filthy."

Then they decide to turn the air on full blast right before departure. So they had the air off the whole time for what? To save money? We all were sweating. So ridiculous."

Pros: "Horrible. 4 delays and then it gets cancelled. Hotel paid for. Had to get to Dallas. United Airlines Customer Service person didn't care. Didn't try for a connecting flight. I will never ever fly with United ever again. I am flying from American Airles today at 1130am. I am still in New Jersey horrible Kayak. Horrible. They should pay for my first night at my hotel at least."
Cons: "I already wrote what I had to write. 4 delays and then cancellation! Are you kidding me? Had itinerary planned for Friday Night and that got ruined because of United Airlines stupid logistics. I will never fly United! Give me a voucher ! Give me something. Aren't even offering a cab for me to take from Jersey to LaGuardia. It's your fault people. Enough said."

Cons: "Sat at gate for over an hour sweating profusely because a/c wasn't working.after 45 minutes was served half glasses of water. Made second attempt to depart gate and had to go right back. Then told to disembark plane and wait for replacement. Boarded it at 8:50, arriving Dallas at 11:50, 3.5 hours late missing all prearranged transportation with 0 apologies. Had to make my own arrangements to complete my trip at significant expense to myself and 0 assistance from Airlines."

Cons: "The flight left Houston late. The check in process was fine, we were asked to check our bags because the flight was full. Once on board and seated the flight attendant came on and said there were 5 bags without the proper tags for people to claim. How could they have improper tags when the person at the gate was giving the tags out? Four bags were claimed and with 1 bag (blue) left the flight attendants asked us 3 more times "whose bag it was?". When no one claimed the bag one more person from United came down the isle holding the bag asking everyone one last time. I heard him say "I was told to do this". At this time 4 more people boarded late. I thought after a certain amount of time boarding would end?"
