Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Crew was great. Plane felt good and clean."
Cons: "My flight from Gainesville to Charlotte, we had to deplane down plane steps. I was told we would have jetway every flight. I have had hip replacement and steep steps very uncomfortable. Unable to deplane down them with both purse and small carryon. Someone always has to help me carry my carryon plus theirs as there is no provision for help from the airline. American seems to be only airline to do this, I will have to reconsider flying with you in the future."
Cons: "I missed it. And the lady at the counter was so disrespectful..."
Pros: "Good friendly and efficient crew"
Cons: "Boarding process was poorly executed so 3 and 8 were called simultaneously"
Pros: "The staff were incredibly nice and accomodating, plane was newer, clean, comfortable"
Cons: "Nothing, all was great"

Cons: "The cabin temperature was insane. SO COLD!! even with blankets people and my self included were freezing!!"
Pros: "Fast boarding"
Cons: "There was no service at all outside of first class. There was garbage around my seat. Small seats even in extra space seat"
Cons: "Is not the airline fault. Is thanksgiving weekend. The boarding was extremely slow because So many wheelchairs, . The weather and Chicago airport doesn’t help neither. The capitan take a time to go out and explain what we had to expect. That was a plus. Still for us is our #1 choice"
Cons: "Certain crew members could've been a bit more approachable and friendly."
Cons: "2 hours delay, confused boarding process, very poor inflight service (got ignored twice)"
Cons: "If flight wasn't delayed"
Pros: "The plane was half empty."
Cons: "1. Flight has 2 gate changes. Last one to L concourse, an after thought . 2. Gate agent sat me next to someone and I’m front of screaming kids. There were multiple empty rows."
Cons: "Did not know that we did not fly with British Airlines (as I had printed out before my first flight to Germany) was replaced with American Airlines. I lost valuable time at the airport and almost missed the flight. Chaotic and unexpected baggage problems before boarding to Dallas: the board luggage, same as we had on the way over, was not accepted and had to be checked in. Problem since we had to move laptop, etc. before the actual boarding. Attendants not as professional as they should be. Also seats were changed -- I was not able to sit with my daughter who regularly gets travel sickness. Overall not a good experience. But the worst: changing airlines and not being informed!!!!"
Pros: "Arrived 11 minutes early, courteous staff, biscoff cookies. Great price."
Cons: "They pushed the stupid credit card again with its annual fee and miles BS."
Pros: "I had enough legroom. Airplane arrived a bit early to destination."
Cons: "I did not find out until I looked at the boarding pass that our flight time was changed. We had to miss a family function to go to the airport sooner than expected."
Pros: "Newer plane, wifi worked well, coffee good, not sure if it was on time, but it didn't matter to me. Friendly crew. Smooth flight."
Cons: "No snack"
Cons: "4 hours delayed"
Pros: "Didn’t care about passengers comfort. Never turned on the AC."
Pros: "We always have a good trip in American Airlines. Is better now that they have the same rate from PBI and FLL"
Cons: "We will love when they have Admiral club in PBI"
Pros: "Arrived a little early and without incident."
Cons: "Flight attendant had a problem with my wife asking for Coke Zero. There was one can left and she was reluctant to serve it to her."
Pros: "Everything except TSA, my daughter 14, had a precheck. TSA sent her through, and made me go in separate much slower lne. She was upset and scared, which upset me."
Pros: "Liked the crew. The flight was on time and went as expected. We are safe and happy so can’t get much better right?"
Cons: "Didn’t like the credit card advertising announcement over the intercom and then again by the crew. The lack of food and snack options was pretty sad but that’s par for the course nowadays. One of my pet peeves: People boarded with out verification of their boarding pass location. By the time we boarded, 90% of the plane was loaded and we were in the middle. Luckily that had no impact but annoying bc people are trying to get their overhead bins before they run out, which they did."
Pros: "Flight was under booked so there was plenty of room."
Cons: "Crew was unexpectedly loud/chatty with one another throughout the flight, even when things were quite and calm they were calling over our heads to one another and laughing loudly. Initially, it's an international flight from Spain and no crew members in my section atleast could speak Spanish. I had to help a passenger who only spoke spanish because the attendant kept repeating an order in english, just getting louder each time."
Cons: "take off late 90 min.. almost lost connection in NY"
Pros: "Easy to check in before trip, curb side check in is amazing, staff was super helpful. Flight attendants were so nice. Overall great flying experience"
Pros: "Crew was great. Courteous and efficient."
Cons: "For a long flight the entertainment options were pathetic. Also the flight was 2 hours late. And there were no chargers at the seats so that also limited the entertainment options. The food was too salty and fatty."
Pros: "Free movies, and crew were helpful once we were in the air"
Cons: "Gate agent did not start forcing check in, which caused delay in boarding. Ground crew did not stock aircraft until 20 minutes after scheduled departure time. and DFW did the usual 20 minute taxi and then 15 minute hold prior to take off."
Cons: "I miss my flight because my plane left “early.” The person who attended me wasn’t understandable at all, she responded with so much rudeness. Was very upset!"
Pros: "TV monitor back of headrest with movies."
Cons: "Had to wait about 25 mins after landing to deplane."
Pros: "Free on-board entertainment and not a fully packed flight"
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "Flight was rocky and delayed 4 hours"
Pros: "On time. Crew was nice, too"
Pros: "All was good!!"
Cons: "A bit warm which is unusual."
Pros: "There was nothing that I liked."
Cons: "One half hour before boarding we learned there was a delay. Obviously, American Airlines knew way before this time of the delay. At 6:00 p.m we were told they were bringing another plane from the hanger. The plane showed up around 9:00 p.m ... must be a long trip from the hanger. Then we were told they are waiting on a rear flight crew from another flight. After getting the rear flight crew, we were told that the front flight crew "timed out" and they had to look for other pilots. Needles to say after arriving at West Palm Beach at 1:00 in the morning...about four hours late the passengers were all devastated. American could have orchestrated this so much better"
Pros: "Badly handled dealy situation"
Cons: "Airplane very clean like new"
Pros: "I likes that I was able to pick my seat for the same price."
Cons: "AA gate attendant assigned two of us to the same seat."
Cons: "Crew was rude."
Pros: "Smooth flight on snowy day"
Pros: "My two Grandchildren and Daughter and Son in Law were bumped from first class due to change in equipment. There was no refund or other compensation offered at the gate. Agent said to contact AA customer service."
Pros: "Muy buen servicio"
Cons: "My flight was delayed almost 2 hours and when I went to ask the lady at the kiosk a question I was basically told to go sit doWn and be quiet"
Pros: "I was so comfortable I slept - I never sleep while traveling"
Cons: "It was fine"
Cons: "My flight was canceled."
Cons: "Missed flight, no help. Spent $500 for nothing."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Did not depart til 7AM THE NEXT DAY"
Pros: "Upon sitting down, I was able to fall asleep almost instantly. The helpful stewardesses were constantly aware of my needs."
Cons: "Check-in desk seemed confused and unorganized. Two very friendly ladies were helping out but were on different wavelengths."
