Pros: "The boarding/unboarding process was very efficient. I’ve never unboarded such a large plane so quickly."
Cons: "The transfer between Alaska and ANA was a little more confusing than I’d like. We unboarded outside of the terminal and had to exit the terminal, come back through TSA and then find out gate."
Cons: "Alaska airlines suck"
Cons: "Flight was delayed by about an hour."
Cons: "Last minute emergency reservation so had to settle for what was available interns of travel class and seating. Could only get into economy and seated at the rear. However the flight was on time the staff very helpful and being a premium One World member really helped. Food was typical airline food,"
Pros: "Comfortable flight. On time."
Cons: "Three hours waiting for various issues to be fixed, only offered water once"
Pros: "Everyone seemed happy and glad to be working"
Pros: "The crew did their best to make a bad situation better. Alaska Air a very decent company and usually have good flights with them. They offered me a free cocktail after a family with 3 little kids took my seat to sit together. A cocktail at 9:55am doesn’t really appeal to me however. It was a 2 ½ hour flight so I could grin and bear the discomforts. Everything else went great ...baggage arrived an was in the carousel quickly although the $25 baggage fee slap is annoying on an already over priced flight. I still love Alaska"
Cons: "I am 6’2" and a difficult time with comfort in standard airline seats. Today’s flight with the family taking my assigned seat put me in the last row against the rear wall. Super scrunched for me then to have a very large couple flying non-revenue squash in next to me made it just that much more uncomfortable. I wish if you have kids you would go the extra mile and pre-pick seats like he rest of us .... not a hater people just like courtesy is all."
Pros: "On time departure and arrival, friendly and helpful crew."
Cons: "I tried to get an aisle seat and was told that was what I was assigned when I checked in at Beijing. Even though it was in the Premium section with extra legroom, a middle seat is difficult for a 5' 11" person, especially after flying for as many hours as I flew. I was constantly bumping shoulders with people in the aisle and window seats."
Pros: "Nothing outrageous or out of the ordinary happened."
Pros: "I did not feel well on this flight and had a great experience. The crew was very helpful and kind and attended to my needs."
Cons: "There was no way to change journey date, excepting by additionally paying almost twice the fare amount as change fee plus difference in fares between travel dates. So was forced to miss the flight and forfeit fare amount."
Cons: "No tv’s"
Pros: "Clean, courteous and comfortable. Good job!"
Cons: "Start boarding from the back of the plane first to the front of plane. Some carriers do this with excellent result....quick boarding."
Pros: "Price quick boarding. Great staff comped my checked bag. Not overbooked. Prompt beverages. Love it!"
Cons: "Nothing! I almost even signed up for the credit card lol"
Pros: "Plenty of room, nice crew"
Pros: "On time departure and arrival."
Cons: "Sitting in the back of the plane in a chair that didn’t recline. Boarding from the front to the back. It doesn’t make sense."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 1 1/2 hrs waiting for a crew member to arrive! The flight attendant was unpleasant."
Pros: "It was a direct flight and quick boarding. Pilots did a great job being on time...Alaska Airlines made up 45 mins to and was on time from Portland, Or..."
Pros: "flying to LA is fast."
Cons: "not very comfortable and no in flight entertainment"
Pros: "Thank you for recycling in the cabin!"
Pros: "The crew was very kind and friendly"
Cons: "They ran out of the food I wanted"
Pros: "Everything from the booking to the flight was fabulous. I couldn't be more pleased with how smoothly this flight went. I was traveling alone, so I was nervous about that until taking this flight. Every single staff member made sure I was feeling comfortable and very kind. In this same weekend, The plane is very roomy, and I took coach. I am 5 foot 9, so it's hard to find space for my legs. I did not have this problem at all, even with the person in front of me reclining their chair!! They have plugs for your charger for each individual seat, and the overhead lights don't blind you if your passenger buddy is using one and you're not. I love that!!! I will only use Alaska from here on out."
Cons: "There was absolutely nothing wrong with this flight."
Cons: "The window was dirty and you couldn't see out of it at all. Overall it wasn't too bad but it could definitely use improvement."
Pros: "The plane boarded on time, took off early, and arrived early. The plane was very clean and the crew was friendly. I love Alaskan Air!"
Pros: "We had a flight attendant, by the name of Bob, on the flight from SLC to Sea-Tac. He was very animated and lively through the flight, for instance during the safety demonstration he would carry on conversations with those of us close to him seamlessly and effortlessly, plus make funny gestures -- such as a thumbs-up when the seat-belt was correctly fashioned -- during the presentation. His wife was the head attendant (?) who gave the instructions, and he had fun with that as well. These are two people who do their job well, enjoy what they do, and leave a positive experience in the hearts of those they serve. I think they would be a fantastic feature story in Alaska Airlines magazine in the future."
Cons: "I've never liked the limited food choices and entertainment on flights from SLC to Spokane or Seattle. I know they are short flights, but a little more could be put in. I know Delta has on-flight entertainment from LAX to SLC, perhaps this should be done."
Pros: "Love that you have complementary wine on short flights and chees-it's were a nice change for a snack!!"
Cons: "It was the worst flight experience i have ever had!!. Our flight was scheduled for departure at 845 pm July 5th, and did not end up departing until 203 am!! We had to sit in the airport for 8 hrs, i barely had any money left and had to use it on food and snaks while we waited. The staff was very rude. I had asked them different times what was going on, because the time of departure kept changing and what were my kids and i supposrd to do, and they just said sorry and dont know what to tell you. After spending my last bit of money on food for my kids and i, I was told by another passanger that the airlines were giving vouchers for food. They never once in the 4 or 5 times i talked to them, offered or told me about the vouchers. It was a terrible experience all around!! We landed in portland at 330 am and had to still drive 3 hours home. we didnt get home until 630am. Ridiculous!!!! I was and am still very upset about the whole thing. Also the staff that was so rude in SaltLake City, every time i would see a concerned or upset passenger go up to talk to them, as soon as they would walk off the staff was over there giggling with each other about it. So Very RUDE!!! Another passanger said that Alaskan Airlines has habbit of having problems with delays . If this is the kind of experience that comes with flying Alaskan, then i will never fly with them again.!!! or go througj expedia"
Cons: "The Stewarts were also irritated with the screaming kids. Could not hear the emergency information. There should be a better method to entertaining or sitting those with children together I want to blame it on the situation however I need state that the flight attendants were rude while passing out the complimentary food."
Pros: "Free movies helped time pass quickly."
Pros: "My return flight was precisely on time, boarding was efficient and the offer for a free chat service while in the air (though I didn't use it) was a nice touch."
Cons: "While my flight was short and snacks weren't necessary, I was pretty underwhelmed by the snack offerings."
Pros: "Excellent ride on new plane with great crew."
Cons: "This was supposed to be one of their newest planes but seat backs have about 1/2 in of foam only. Feels like leaning against a piece of plywood. Not a comfy seat. Not too bad for a short flight but I wouldn't want to fly for 3+ hrs in this seat."
Cons: "Had a very muggy gross smell in there."
Cons: "The flight was 4 hours late. I wasted an entire day sitting in the airport. You knew that the flight was late hours in advance and should have texted or emailed me to say as much. Instead, i checked in on time, and within 10 minutes we went from 'On Time' to four hours late due to equipment and crew. Very inconsiderate and unappreciated to your customer. The flight should have been free after such an inconsiderate gesture on your part. Instead, you send me a gift certificate that obligates me to spend more money with you in order to redeem it, and then within a certain period of time. If I have choice in the future, I'll lean toward a different airline than yours. You clearly do not value my time nor my business."
Pros: "Alaska Air is a breath of fresh air in light of the recent problems with United and American Airlines! The attendants were not weary, bored, angry, absent, arrogant or any of those off-putting attitudes. Out of SFO to PDX, one sparkling voice announced: Well folks, let's get this party started!", which brought chuckles ruffling througth the cabin! And, ipso facto, there was a party atmosphere from takeoff to landing at PDX. Her attitude set the tone through some bumpy spring weather. Another her 'day' started at 2am from somewhere before SLC. This was a woman who was so outside the norm for her here-to-fore perceived position that she didn't feel the need to perform her duties with a stoic, reserved, stick-in-the-mud presentation, that I was immediately drawn to her and we had great repartee! Lynne Ledingham, flight 743G SLC-PDX. BTW, my Alaska vacay started at PDX two weeks earlier on a flight to SLC, so I flew Alaska all the disjointed way! I will always choose Alaska in the future and have told everyone I know that Alaska is a very bright light in the travel industry and I hope it never goes out!"
Pros: "Will try to avoid Alaskan airline at all cost"
Cons: "They forced me to take my luggage in San Francisco. My flight was to HK. I bought that as one ticket with transfers and they treat my Asian travel as a separate ticket even though it was suppose to be as one. Very disappointed. At the gate in SLC lady harassed me about my passport bag on my neck. Something wrong with their heads! How about harassing passengers if they have hats or coats?"
Cons: "Having to walk up 3 flights of stairs from the plane to the arrival terminal."
Pros: "Each of the flight attendants were very pleasant and were helpful with me and my baby."
Pros: "Pretty standard Alaska Airlines flight. Crew was friendly, boarding process was smooth."
Cons: "No free in-flight entertainment. Since there's relatively no equipment cost to airline to allow streaming to personal devices, this is pretty disappointing."
Pros: "inexpensive flight"
Cons: "Although flight was full and too many carryon bags they wouldnt do skycheck (gate check) except for those with status. REALLY!?!?"
Pros: "And same overall. It was fine."
Cons: "But it was too goddamn hot!"
Pros: "When we arrived at the airport there was a long line that was not moving. We were afraid we would miss the flight. We spoke with an Alaska airline representative and they moved us and anyone on our flight to the front of the line to make sure we didn't miss our flight."
Cons: "That there was a long line to check in"
Pros: "It landed safely."
Cons: "The surprise baggage fees. The big wad of chewed gum on the back of the seat in front of me. Clean your plane, please."
Cons: "The seats were absolutely terrible and felt like they were designed to give discomfort. Although the crew members were nice, they took forever to clean up empty peanut bag and drink cup."
Pros: "The price was right, so I chose this airline I'd never been on. Let me tell you, it was the finest flying experience I've ever had. I wish they would fly everywhere, because then we'd be done with the brutal shafting Delta and American and even United dishes out on the regular. Comfortable, friendly, accommodating (usb and AC ports on every seatback), and laid-back, it was perfect. I mean, perfect. AND we got there early."
Cons: "I didn't like sitting there and comparing them to all the other airlines I've ever flown with, because Alaska puts everyone else to shame. It was a positively joyous experience."
Pros: "Seating was tight."
Cons: "Had a middle seat with a large person on one side. Ask to move to an empty seat, was told no would have to buy another ticket."
Crew was super helpful storing my bag, seating people, etc And now they’ve started thanking their Delta frequent flyer members !! Two crew came to find me and thanked me by name
No beverages in first class for over an hour
Pros: "Absolutely ridiculous ... sat on the runway longer than the flight."
Cons: "Reason we sat on the runway longer than the flight is they were understaffed. Unacceptable."
Pros: "Though departure was delayed, arrived at destination on time!"
Cons: "Entertainment options"
Pros: "Seats were good"
Cons: "Flight was delayed on both ends"
Cons: "Overall not bad. Food service can be better but it is due to the pandemic currently. Overall excellent flight!"
Pros: "Pilots. Flight attendants. Space. Left and arrived on time."
Pros: "Great crew...seat spacing gives great comfort. Love they have a comfort class option. So much better experience than American. Wish Delta had more direct flights out of Charlotte."
Cons: "It was perfect!!"
Pros: "Clean, comfortable, empty middle seats. Good movie selection."
Cons: "Snacks lacked variety and nutritional value."
Pros: "Thanks for choosing customer safety over profits. I specifically chose Delta because they continue to not sell the middle seats."
Pros: "Empty middle seat; disinfectant wipes. I know these measures were implemented because of COVID but I wouldn’t mind having these last past the pandemic!"
Pros: "great everything!"
Pros: "Very attentive and engaging crew."
Cons: "really nothing!"
Cons: "More communication on the flight delay"
Pros: "Great crew, nice plane, awesome entertainment"
Cons: "Miniature candy bars are not sufficient for an hour and a half flight."
Cons: "No sandwiches for sale just snack boxes"
Pros: "Crew was great, seats were comfy and the entertainment options were good."
Cons: "Flight was delayed but it happens."
Cons: "We left Salt Lake City so late that I missed all my train connections and ruined my plans."
Cons: "My suitcase was broke at some point and also items in my suitcase."
Cons: "Was not offered a drink in first class prior to take off."
Pros: "Very good"
Cons: "Seat assignments should have be provided at check in."
Pros: "Entertainment on short flights is a nice surprise"
Cons: "Very very late.. I almost lost my replacement of the replacement of my connection. Had to run like hell. The luggage didn't make it. To summarize the day, woke up too early, got to my destination hours late and got the luggage in the middle of the night."
Pros: "The plane and flight was fine, as was the crew on board. The crew within the Salt Lake airport could have been better. Not sure if it was the gentlemans first time but overall he and the woman working the boarding were very slow and could have been more efficient. We boarded late (may be out of their control) but when we started boarding there was too much wasted time between calling up the military/people with longer boarding needs/wheelchairs etc. They waited until they were completely boarded and settled prior to calling the next group then spent time fiddling with the sign that splits the boarding lanes etc. Just appeared that there was no sense of efficiency. Polite people though."
Pros: "Flight crew was excellent. We had the emergency exit row so leg room was awesome! Kind bar and soda we good."
Cons: "Flight delay due to the older aircraft and lack of a pilot that knew how to fly it. Bathroom needed some tending to"
Pros: "Snacks & drinks & TV movies good"
Cons: "One hostess was very rude & slow forget our headphones Kept getting me to help her with getting attention of other hostesses also very bad at giving snacks and kept my husband and another man waiting for 10 mins while she gathered rubbish despite repeated requests which would have been easy as she was at the front of plane obviously unsuited for this position"
Pros: "Fast boarding and complimentary snacks."
Cons: "I was seated next to a very large woman who came over the arm rest onto my seat."
Pros: "Crew members were very nice and pilot did a great job flying thru turbulence"
Cons: "I don't have any compliants"
Pros: "Flight Crew were friendly and attentive. Boarding is well organized."
Cons: "My itinerary was changed multiple times, most importantly impacting my arrival time into Victoria BC. This flight was changed twice, the first time I received an email notification telling me the new flight was an hour later. When I got my check-in email 24 hours before my trip was to begin I noticed the arrival time for my return flight had been changed again, this time arriving another hour later. I received no notice for this change. Other than a shuttle service, there are no late night public transit options from the Victoria airport into town--a 25 minute drive. I was left with 10 minutes between the late arrival of my flight to claim my bags, clear customs and try to make the last shuttle. I specifically purchased my ticket so I would have plenty of time to make this connection. I missed it and wound up having to take a $60 (not including tip) taxi to get into town. Changing my itinerary to arrive 2 hours later without notifying me is unacceptable. I've never had any pot-purchase itinerary changes happen to me on Alaska Airlines, which also has regular service between Seattle and Victoria. I'm inclined to make sure I always use them from now on."
Pros: "As always, the crew and amenities were first rate."
Cons: "We were initially told that our flight would arrive early. Then we sat on the tarmac for a half hour before anyone could be bothered to tell us we were waiting for the plane to be de-iced."
Pros: "SLC ground gate crew was awesome."
Pros: "being able too use our electronic devices in Wi-Fi mode the whole time. Last time I flew everything had to be shut off during take off and landing."
Pros: "Excellent Detroit crew"
Pros: "Flight went well and was smooth."
Pros: "The first class section wasn't claustrophobic, as some Delta first class sections are. The seats were relatively new, and had good size screens for watching a movie on the long flight."
Cons: "The plane had not been cleaned well in between flights, so there was a sticky substance on the armrest."
Pros: "WiFi wouldn't work. Dark skin Asian flight attended had a shitty attitude. Would tell me FOR SURE if they would be set I g alcohol and was rude about it."
Cons: "No delays."
Pros: "Comfy seats"
Cons: "No earphones available. I had forgotten mine but crew stated that none had been put on the flight. Lunch was served but no snacks later as is usual on an almost 4 hr flight. I always fly First Class for the extra room and perks of crew service. Crew spent most time in galley chatting. Not a bad flight by any means but I guess I have been spoiled by superior service on all of my other weekly Delta flights."
Pros: "For a short-haul flight on a small CRJ, it was the most pleasing and comfortable flight. No delays and everyone was pleasant from ground staff to flight crew."
Pros: "Our plane had mechanical issue with a parking brake which they left us know about once we loaded the plane. Unfortunately it was going to take to long so they switched us to another plane."
Cons: "Airlines in general need to enforce the carry on luggage rules. If it doesn't match the dimensions for the carry on specks then make the people Check it. Don't let it go. If I paid for a seat and I'm allowed two carry ons then there should be room for them. Don't ask people to check bags because of a full plane. The crew should have there own place to store their belongings, not where the passengers do and take their space. The life rafts need to be easy to get to but again should take up a spot a passenger has paid for their luggage to go. If that is the only space for these items then don't allow passengers to bring two items if in those seats or on the whole plane. It's really disappointing when your told you may have to check your bag because there's not enough room."
Pros: "The crew was very accommodating and helpful and the new entertainment systems with the free movies are awesome. Because of the heat in the cabin we received additional beverage service and follow up waters"
Cons: "The air above my seat wasn't working for the duration of the flight and there were problems with the air throughout the cabin so it was uncomfortably warm for the whole flight."
Pros: "I paid only $100 more round trip to DTW from SLC then I would have with other carriers, minus the hassle of connecting flights and paying fees that they don't tell you about up front (like $25 for a carry-on bag, oh and a another $12 per leg for a window seat). My experience, like my previous Delta experiences was absolutely enjoyable. From the quick boarding, super friendly gate agents, and flight crew, to the free on board entertainment, Delta has won me over once again. Oh and did I mention how great it is to board a flight, relax and watch a good movie, take a small nap, and deplane at your destination! Awesome!!"
Pros: "Quick trip and relaxing --- no high way traffic issues, accidents or construction hold ups."
Cons: "There wasn't anything I did not like."
Pros: "Daughter's first flight and the crew really made it a special experience for her."
Pros: "Nice selection of in-flight media Ahead of time arrival"
Cons: "MSP baggage service was probably the longest delay I have ever experienced w Delta~40 minutes. (Overshadows the ahead of time arrival). Also, I had an oversize item-ski bag-which for some reason they did not deliver through the designated "oversize baggage" door but instead put out against the wall through a side door well down the terminal from the designated door. I might still be standing there except my traveling companion walked down that way and found it."
Lots of people entering plane at the end of boarding that we’re not at the gate, entered at tarmac, looked like illegals from Latin America
Pros: "Great having every set have its own screen and charging port"
Cons: "Not to be an hour delayed and make half the plane miss their connections!"
Pros: "I missed flight. Rescheduled this morning 4229 when I went to bed. Today, there is no record of the flight. I have a screen print showing the seat assignment. The 1-800 said it will call back in 4 hours. Crap! Flight scheduled in two hours."
Pros: "The flight was on time. I got lucky and was seated with extra legroom and was very very grateful. No drama - nice and easy."
Cons: "When we were checking in I wasn’t sure where to lineup to put my luggage in. The lines for the kiosks were also confusing. Some more direction that I think would be helpful at Philadelphia airport."
Pros: "Flight attendant was very fun. It was her birthday and made the day fun for everyone."
Cons: "Seats are always too close together - left to right and front to back. A sad reality that only improves for the well-to-do."
Cons: "Lack of social distancing with American Airlines"
Pros: "Only masked picking up trash during pandemic - difficult to rate crew"
Cons: "Organized exit vs. usual crowded chaos of passengers in a hurry"
Pros: "Gate attendant was a superstar."
Cons: "6 hour delay due to part that St. Louis sent for - twice. Will never fly through ST Louis again on AA. Terrible Domino's pizza and water were complimentary after 4 hours delay. Returned to gate twice. 11 a.m. flight arrived at 9:30 PM ( 3 hr flight). Poor gate attendant was left to fend for herself as she was fed false and contradictory information."
Cons: "American Airlines has to be the worst airlines there is. It never fails that they try I Cath someone and try to pretend that their carry-on bagIs too big. They have this tiny little frame no reasonable carry-on could possibly fit into. Over and over again I see people including myself and my traveling companion’s having to check their carry-on bag because their “too big” this is nonsense. These are standard size bags. It’s more than enough space on board the plane. In a way in which the gate check individuals handle this interaction is a palling you’re insulting demanding and don’t give you a chance to rearrange your luggage so I can go into their absurd dimensions"
Cons: "I wish there were charging ports so I could charge my device on such a long flight."
Cons: "Nothing. Everything was great."
Pros: "Fast boarding and efficient, friendly crew. I paid for an upgraded economy seat, which had more legroom and fit my body (more or less)."
Cons: "AA's seats seem to have gotten thinner in recent years, so I find them less comfortable. There's no in-flight entertainment; you have to download the airline's flight app on your device and stream from there."
Cons: "Delayed three hours with no communication or compensation. Poor customer service"
Cons: "The wifi didn't work at all"
Pros: "Wi-Fi and USB ports worked great. Seat was comfortable after 11 upgrade. On time."
Cons: "Having to pay extra for a aisle seat"
Pros: "Seats were nice, flight was efficient, arrived early."
Cons: "Gate agent spoke so ridiculously fast and swallowed so many sounds that it was virtually impossible to understand most of what he was saying. Most importantly we all missed that our roll-on bags wouldn’t fight in the overhead bins. As a result many people pulled their bags on and fought and struggled to force their luggage above, only to give up. The on-board agents recognized early the problem and then proceeded to allow many other passengers to stroll by them with their large roll-on bags, only to delay the boarding process and frustrate everyone. When making their safety announcement the flight attendant was clearly competing for fastest speaking human and rushed through at blazing speeds. In all my 30+ years of travel, I’ve never heard anything like it."
Pros: "Service was good"
Pros: "Nice leg room in exit row"
Cons: "My travel companion and I encountered the most unfriendly and non respondent flight crew of all time."
Pros: "Nothing it totally messed us up"
Cons: "We missed our 1night in Rome-had to go home and come back the next day-we missed our train tickets and hotel in Rome and it made our trip a lot shorter!"
Pros: "Time was good. Ground service was good. In-flight was okay. Because I love Cathay so much I took a 3 hour longer trip through LA (vs. Seattle) and paid more. But I was berating myself for that. But the flight back was Cathay service at its finest."
Cons: "We were not told our passports needed to have an expiration past six months of travel even though we got back before the expiration. We entered our passport info including our expiration dates and we’re given no warning. We even had our boarding passes prior to showing up at the airport. We will not use Kayak in the future and will book direct through the airline moving forward."
Pros: "Good smooth flight and quick"
Cons: "I left my iPad in the seat pocket and they said they didn’t find it!"
Cons: "I’m not sure how this flight was as I missed it due to a delay from YYZ to ORD"
Pros: "My connecting flight from london arrived late and the crew made sure i made it onto the flight to stl even though I barely made it to the gate on time."
Cons: "charged a surprise of $175 for my third bag although Kayak mentioned i should be charged $75 at the time of booking. AA says it is due to Jordanyan Airlines, why was I surprised by this extra charge?!"
Pros: "crew was pleasant"
Pros: "My flight was fine - I paid for a Premium Seat, which also allowed me a premium boarding position, which I highly recommend for anyone flying. The seat was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and I really liked the in-flight entertainment."
Cons: "At the DFW security post for my gate, there was NO TSA-pre. That service stops at 7pm. I would think at a major airport like DFW where American Airlines has a hub, they would make sure to staff that longer. Just getting to keep my shoes on, while having to drag all my electronics and liquids out, take my coat and belt off, etc. is not acceptable. AA should put the pressure on DFW to treat their customers better!"
Cons: "Snacks were okay, nothing to shout about. Streaming movies is still of a mystery to me, not an intuitive experience in any sense of the word. the sites AA provides to answer one's questions don't give any real guidance on 'how', just state what, kept pointing me to the app which doesn't have any menu item to view movies. took me well over ten minutes to find any helpful information."
Pros: "Flight attendants"
Cons: "The flight got delayed from salt lake and we had to spend a day in Charlotte before another flight came"
Pros: "Everything was perfect"
Cons: "Not enough snow in salt lake"
Cons: "It was nice. And boarding was good too."
Pros: "This flight is the normal nonstop from Mia to StL. The seating is tight but not completely uncomfortable."
Cons: "I just had knee replacement 4 1/2 months ago. It was difficult to fully extend my leg under the seat in front of me because the space between rows has shrunk to include more seating."
Pros: "Free movies and tv"
Cons: "The Three days it took to get 10 hours away horrible customer service no one was there to help us.30 people were stranded"
Cons: "There was just an announcement that the refreshments will be served shortly but there were no refreshments. Take off and landing was horrible. Flight was shaking way more than usual."
Pros: "Both American flights (on Airbus 321, I think) I've taken in the past two weeks had comfortable seating with great legroom. My knees were not knocking the seat in front of me! Seat width also comfortable. Not sure how I lucked up on both flights!"
Pros: "This was the same crew and pilot from the flight I took to LAX. His landing was so smooth, I woke up pleasantly upon landing!"
Pros: "For tall people more room for the legs"
Cons: "The Seats aré very near"
Pros: "Why would a jet this size wobble all the way across the Atlantic! The pretzels were even stale, and they served a "pizza" that was a stale mini loaf with sauce and a little mozzarella. People were starving when breakfast was served. The thermostat fluctuated from horribly hot to freeing - for 14 hrs. The crew slammed things down on table trays, grumped, were giving harsh orders to patrons rather than gently directing them. These ladies do not enjoy their job. I am done with Delta. We were also an hour late taking off due to a door on a cargo hold not closing. I was embarrassed that our Aussie friends experienced this as their first American flight."
Cons: "Food, attitude of flight attendants, comfort of cabin. Pilot took charge of thermostat issue and kept us informed in a friendly manner regarding the status of our take off and flight progress."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Boarding numbers"
Cons: "I nearly missed my flight because I did not have a seat for a flight that I bought a ticket for at full price. Which, would lead one to believe that I would have a seat on said flight. However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled."
Pros: "Grest staff"
Cons: "Thought the first row seating would provide extra leg room which the reservation page said it would and we paid extra for the seats - not so. it also felt quite claustrophobic with a panel within a short distance of our faces. We had upgraded for better seats but it turns out the seating wasn't better at all. The flight home in seats much further back were MUCH more comfortable. I'm thinking the airline shouldn't book the front seats by the panel as 'better' for the extra price as they were definitely not."
Cons: "Boarding was chaotic, with people sitting in wrong seats and walking the wrong way down the plane. Crew were not especially friendly. I know it was at the tail end of a long Sunday, but it wasn't impressive."
Pros: "Entertainment, 110 plugins for devices, internet."
Cons: "only free meal option was cinnamon cookies."
Pros: "The ginger ale."
Cons: "This was my return trip with more delays due to maintenance issues of the aircraft. 10/17/16 flight 1585 was the outgoing flight delayed five hours on my departing trip. I waited at the baggage carousel 15 minutes for my bag after over an hour delay due to switching aircrafts. With a flight arriving this late in the evening with the low volume of bags checked (due to checked luggage charges), this should not be the case. Five minutes to gulp down ginger ale."
Pros: "On time, arrived early."
Cons: "Seats too close in front of you."
Cons: "Attempted to make my connection which was in another terminal. Could not get onboard as they shut the doors. My rerouted flight was in a different terminal. Overall a very disappointing travel experience."
Pros: "The plane has improved greatly with their comfort and leg space"
Cons: "With checking my luggage my bag fee was waived a total of seven times this trip because I'm a military wife to see my husband overseas who is serving a year in Saudi Arabi except this past time on October 2nd at DCA airport. Spoke with the Supervisor Ralph who stated it was against policy. How stringent is this policy if it was waived seven times previously? Policy needs to be reviewed with entire staff. I will no longer use American Airlines because their military convenience and policies no longer seem to favor the military. My husband also after speaking with him will also no longer use your airline including all his members he overseas when they return after their year tour."
Pros: "The people"
Cons: "The seats are too small I'm 6'1 and that's not that tall"
Cons: "I had to sit next to a huge overweight guy who took all of his own seat and at least 1/3 of mine. He had to have a seatbelt extension... not so cozy. My shoulder was damp from his armpit sweat by the time I arrived in Dallas. The flight was full or I would have requested a different seat."
Awful and terrible flight attendants with very poor skills and service and no empathy for the passengers
Pros: "The crew was fine"
Cons: "No open seats at all. Old cramped A319"
Pros: "Nice staff"
Cons: "Cleanliness. There was a ton of garbage in business / frost class back pockets. Seats were dirty. Tray tables were dirty. Not the best entertainment options."
Cons: "Did not fly cause corona virus. Waited on the phone for 5 hours and did not get someone to help with refubd!"
Pros: "On time/early."
Cons: "Menu items in Polaris."
Pros: "The captain kept us informed about a delay."
Cons: "The seats are cramped"
Pros: "United- I cannot believe that the computer assigned seats in the last row since we have been United/Continental frequent fliers for over 30 years. We will always choose Delta over United based on our experience on Saturday/Sunday."
Pros: "the flight was scheduled 1h30"
Cons: "the seat comfort"
Pros: "The flight departed early and arrived early, good flight attendant service"
Cons: "Long wait on the cold jetbridge for our carryon baggage, tight quarters on the plane"
Pros: "One of the smoothest (non turbulent) flights o have ever been."
Cons: "Was treated like a second class person as they would not even entertain my offer to pay for a seat upgrade. I am 6’7” and hoped to take one of the available exit row seats but because I bought a cheaper ticket they wouldn’t even speak about it."
Pros: "The inflight entertainment system was excellent."
Cons: "I don't like the boarding process, where there are so many "special" boarding sections that zone 3 only comes up after the first 200+ passengers have boarded."
Cons: "Fellow passengers; too many howling kids with clueless parents"
Pros: "The crew were very nice and polite."
Cons: "No snack options. Only pretzels. Seat cushion very thin."
Cons: "flight was over two hours late because of a late incoming plane. That may be for good reason, but we weren't told until less than one hour before takeoff. It doesn't make sense that the airline just found out one hour before takeoff that the flight was two hours behind. We should have been told sooner about the delay, while we had other choices of alternate flights."
Pros: "Friendly staff. Plane made good time and both flights on time."
Cons: "Plane was 80+ degrees until after takeoff. My girlfriend complained unrelentingly about this on both legs until it was resolved. I don’t know my way around Houston airport but it seemed like we landed several kilometers from our connecting gate. Probably not something that could be avoided but aggravating nonetheless. Also I pooped on this flight and no one would have known except for the lady sitting in the back made a comment about how long I was in the lavatory (5-7 minutes?). Rude."
Cons: "Flight attendants seemed completely unwilling to accommodate any requests outside of their "service time"."
Pros: "Crew and employees were all great, could not have gone any better."
Cons: "For a three hour flight, entertainment was lacking. The fact that there are ONLY paid options was kind of a slap in the face. Even just providing some radio stations to listen to would have been acceptable as a free option"
Pros: "Timely departure, comfortable airplane, decent food&drink offerings, my baggage arrived on time despite 2 layovers"
Pros: "That the flight was earlier then Expected"
Cons: "Bag fee"
Pros: "Nothing to like when an agent tells you that 8 seats open on plane .but already full!"
Cons: "See above!"
Pros: "it was on time. complimentary snack and drink. plane seemed to be new or very well taken care of. crew was friendly and smiling. free wifi to personal devices."
Cons: "did some fish tailing on take off I'm assuming to windy conditions."
Pros: "Ease of checking in by phone & printing out board passes."
Cons: "That the ride was so rough. Pilot apologized & said it was just a bad nite. It was a smaller plane so that maybe made the turbulence feel worse too."
Pros: "We got my wife on a plane home in under four hours."
Cons: "United decided to bump some of their glorified bus drivers ahead of me on standby so I had to wait a full four hours in O'Hare listening to some doichebag from LA try to entertain folks at the Goose Island bar with his stories about selling franchises."
Pros: "On the whole plane,my row was the only one with a vacant seat. I needed wheelchair assistance getting from check -in counter to the plane and the person who helped me could not have been nicer or more helpful."
Cons: "The savory pretzel snack was very skimpy and I could not drink their water because they only had Dasani which contains an ingredient that I am allergic to."
Pros: "We had 2 stops each way, I'm glad all of the gates were next to each other and our flights were on time."
Cons: "It was great"
Pros: "Great crew"
Cons: "No room on board for carry on luggage and when gate checking luggage it resulted in further delaying me to make my connecting flight"
Cons: "I wish I could have gotten more beverage (water) during the flight. Very dry in the cabin but all-in-all, it was a pleasant experience."
Cons: "It's 2.5 hours past our scheduled departure time and we're still sitting at the gate"
Cons: "The flight left 15 late due to the bags needing to be moved from below up to the cabin. With only a 45 minutes connecting time, this made us nervous. We did ultimately end up making the connection because they arrived/departed out of the same terminal. I'm not sure we would have made it otherwise. The crew was a bit loud and kept bumping people on the aisle as he made his way down with the cart. The seats were hard as a rock."
Cons: "Those delays I mentioned."
Pros: "United really could have done better informing us of delay, then cancellation. I knew it was likely to be delayed due to weather, and kept checking the status. It wasn't listed as delayed until nearly boarding time, although it seems pretty clear they knew well before that. But SFO was a star. The new decor is sophisticated and comfortable. Bathrooms were like at a swanky night club! Comfy chairs and charging outlets every where. The biggest hit was the Exploratorium installation, which kept my and plenty of other kids entertained!"
Cons: "Wayfinding signage from BART is confusing. BART connection is a pain. The machines in the station only take $1 and $5 bills-- no 20s or credit cards! And no one at BART cares if you are running late for a flight."
Pros: "Tailwind got it all over faster. The flight crew was professional."
Cons: "I paid for the insurance just in case I needed to change my flight. Well I did need to change my flight to get a few more things done before returning home. The answer I recieved when I called was that I had to pay 600 dollars for the change and then file a claim for possible reimbursement. The whole round trip flight only cost $250."
Pros: "The friendly co-travelers as there is no food or entertainment for people on a budget. Better than my flight TO SLC which was cancelled the first day, then delayed the 2nd day. Airport services saved my day by carting me to the connecting flight TO SLC from Denver as there was only 15 minutes to get from one end of the concourse to the other. A little difficult to run there at my age. Any chance of allowing people with connecting flights disembark first instead of last in this situation?"
Cons: "Due to inclement weather conditions no liquids were served. Small bottles of water would be great - less likely to spill over in bad weather and thirst would also be quenched. Lack of luggage space for those of us with the correct allowance hand luggage instead of all the extra large pieces because people don't want to go to baggage claims or pay for baggage. Truly their suitcase not paid for is the same as mine paid for. Difference is the inconvenience of having to keep my hand luggage at my feet because of the larger pieces filled by passengers in group 1, 2, and 3 over my designated seat area."
Pros: "Nice attendants."
Cons: "Cancelled and rerouting of flights. Long waits in airports."
Cons: "My luggage took about 30 min, incredibly frustrating. Most airlines have this process figured out, wish United could do the same."
Pros: "Flight attendants were very nice. The plane was clean."
Cons: "The economy seats are TOO CLOSE TOGETHER. Attendants NEED to be more aware of the size of carry-on items and the amount each person brings onto the plane. People in the front 10 rows of the plane should not be putting their luggage in the back, taking up space so people in groups 3-5 have space to put their luggage."
Cons: "Girl at gate was rude!!! After missing connecting because of Uniteds negligence, my brand new luggage first time used, zipper to main compartment was ripped half way out!! My clothes and stuff hanging out as its coming out baggage claim!!!!!! This was a nightmare"
Pros: "UAL customer service horrible. Would not pay for a hotel room we needed due to UAL canceling our flight. Customer service reps few & far between UAL bus at Terminal C gate 71 at 10p 9/30/2016 had rude employees refusing to acknowledge is or help rather they listened to music on their cell phones. FIRE THEM."
Cons: "Baggage didn't make next flight"
Cons: "Kayak did not confirm my seat. Was not able to get a flight. Called customer service and they told me to rebook. My card was charged twice. The airplane had faulted hardware. Waited in line for 2 hours to get a different flight. All flights to Phoenix were full. Didn't make the standby list. Couldn't make the rebook flight. Worst day ever Now, No one can give me a refund. mind you I took a day off from work this was a last minute. The reason this trip was so important to me is because my grandma is in the ICU. I hardly ever complain about any customer service experience. Overall to get a hold of customer service is awful."
Pros: "Everything was in time."
Cons: "I got a final boarding call 2 minutes before the time that my boarding pass said boarding g would begin. Despite that we didn't take off any earlier and landed just five minutes before schedule. We then waited on the tarmac for an hour. In the end I spent almost as much time sitting g in a grounded plane as I did flying. This after paying way too much for an economy ticket. Reminded me why I don't fly United"
Cons: "Our flight got canceled due to airport issues at our destination. United canceled the flight but had no alternative flights to get us home. Flights the next day were full. Took over an hour with the service desk to reroute tickets to cancel them and to get bags back then took two hours at baggage claim to get the bags back. Customer service was basically useless. After all that, we didn't get any of our money back! I will be avoiding United airlines. Flight cancelation was not their fault but the way they handled the rest of it was embarrassing."
Cons: "United airlines plane from SLC to SFO departed 45 minutes late due to maintenance issue. Then the connecting flight from SFO to Bakersfield left 10 minutes early, thus resulting in a small group missing the connection. Spent Father's Day in the airport for 10+ hours to get on the last flight out of SFO to Bakersfield. Customer service was unhelpful and rude until they found out that the issue was at the fault of united Airlines and not external circumstances."
Pros: "The young lady who was the flight attendant was very nice and tried to make a very bad situation somewhat bearable. There were a number of children on the flight that she was very attentive to. I hope united treats their employees better than they treat their passengers."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for 4 hours. We were told to proceed to the United terminal in spite of the delay. There seemed to be no effort to inform or assist us. There was very little to do in this terminal but wait to see if our flight would eventually come. There were other United passengers in the terminal who were also waiting for overly delayed flights. eventually, we had a plane that was extremely small, cramped and uncomfortable. United seems to consistently oversell its seats and then tried to get people to give up their seats. Very poorly managed airline with bad customer service. Sadly, I have to say that I have never had an acceptable experience on a united flight. Will NOT take another United flight."
Pros: "Same as above. Did notice the woman staffing the counter at boarding having extreme patience with people's problems and non problems. She was great and deserves a raise. Denver gate B 85 between 1:00 and 3:00 6/15/16."
Cons: "The service. The flight attendants were rude"
Pros: "The crew. The booking experience and the check in were all very good to great. I liked the plane on the Houston to cle flight. A 737 I think"
Cons: "The small planes to spend the day in cle to Chicago to slc And the small plane to Houston. Did not eat or use entertainment. No not used answer avail"
Flight from Denver to Salt Lake City was cancelled. I didn’t fly anywhere this past weekend.
The black flight attendant with braids is way out of line. She basically assaulted me by running into me like 3 times on purpose after I asked nicely to be moved due the large man in my isle. She told me no, the plane was empty So this should not have been an issue. She also started an issue with another passenger in a racist manner… also just a tip when a flight is empty spread people out a little bit specially during a pandemic. I will never fly frontier nor recommend it again because of that woman.
Pros: "Very efficient."
Cons: "When diverting around storms, let us know more flight time is involved. Not a peep from the crew."
Pros: "Boarding was smooth. Extra legroom sets were way nice!"
Cons: "Give a snack and a drink for crying out loud!"
Cons: "It was as good as it could be for a low cost airline. Only a one hour flight and easy ride."
Pros: "The crew was excellent"
Cons: "We arrived at the airport to find out Frontier had failed to notify us our flight had been delayed. There was no call or email notification. Because of this delay, we would be missing our connecting flight from Denver to Miami, and because of that, missing our check in time to board our Cruise in Miami. We could not find any reasonable one way plane ticket from SLC to Miami to arrive in time that was less than $700 per person. We ended up having to make the choice to miss our cruise, our vacation, and all our flights. Over $1000 down the drain. Absolutely Unbelievable. I am shocked and disappointed by this, I cannot believe what a huge let down this is. The one thing I can say is that Frontier did attempt to make amends by offering a small $100 flight voucher (although frankly after this experience, why on earth should I fly with them?) but the attempts to fix it, like offering to rebook us (for a fee I should add) to fly to Orlando, but that WE’D have to pay to find a way to Miami (which is at least a 3 hour drive!) were absolute nonsense. I’m out $1000, I missed an amazing opportunity, I lost my vacation, and I now have had to waste limited time off days at work. Absolutely horrific experience"
Pros: "How affordable the tickets were. I was glad to find a cheap affordable flight to my destination."
Cons: "I didn’t like the fact that you had to pay for your seat, after you have paid for your ticket. Why do you have to purchase two things? Next the price for taking a bag. It is too over priced to deliver your bags. A carry on is $40, a check in is $40. Why would you charge for a carry on? Other companies give you a free carry on and $25 for a check in. But not frontier you pay $40 just to bring a backpack. Then you have to pay for the drinks and snacks that they ask too much. $3 for a 50 cent snack, sounds great. The chairs are super uncomfortable, basically plastic seats with a sad excuse of a “cushion”. Looks nice all around, but nothing feels nice. Just everything feels so cheap. Then during my flight I try to get convinced to sign up for frontier credit card?! I have never been on a flight that they talk on the loud speaker for over 5 minutes about how great it is to sign up for their credit card. Don’t sell me stuff when I’m stuck. I can’t walk away I have to sit here and listen. All in all, I won’t be flying with this airline again. I will make sure to always go with someone else. Also make sure that no one I know, has this bad of an experience."
Pros: "The flight itself was a nice flight. The captain and first officer were communicative and the few times we experienced turbulence I felt like they immediately tried to minimize it. I had a good amount of room in my seat (I was not in an emergency exit row) and I had no problems with my luggage."
Cons: "There was a 2 hour delay to take off. When your flight is at 7am and you've woken up at 3:30 or 4 to get to the airport on time, it's a bit frustrating to wait an extra 2 hours to leave. The gate agents were woefully uninformed and when they did communicate with passengers it was vague and unhelpful. The gate agents kept referring to the need for "maintenance" on the aircraft. It doesn't inspire a great deal of confidence in the soundness of the plane to hear that the maintenance crew is trying to "fix something in the cockpit." The Departures monitors and my Kayak app were giving me delay updates before the gate agents were. At one point we switched gates (it was the gate directly across from the original gate) and I watched as passengers at one gate literally traded places with passengers at another gate because the flights had swapped gates. It was comical. Overall, just a disorganized, uninformative, frustrating mess."
Cons: "The fact i got stranded."
Cons: "I booked a flight with them for the Thanksgiving holiday.... I was supposed to travel Wednesday 22 - Saturday to STLand back... I was IMMEDIATELY shocked by only being able to carry 1 personal item... When I found out exactly how small 45 centimeters was...I tried to cancel the trip & be refunded within 5-6 hours.... They told me to fill out a form & return it to them... THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO GET BACK TO ME WITHIN HOURS TO NOTIFY OF THE REFUND AMOUNT & NOT...I REPEAT NOT ACTUALLY CANCEL THE TRIP UNLESS I AGREED TO THE REFUND AMOUNT... I never heard anything from them! I just assumed it was just taking forever for them to approve my refund... Therefore...assuming that the flight was still booked...SINCE I never APPROVED ANY REFUND... I visited kiwi.com several times before the the trip & there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING informing me of any trip cancellation... I went to the airport... Wasn’t able to board... Talked to kiwi.on the phone... Didn’t find out the trip was canceled until after the boarding was closed for that flight. Cons: "The tickets look like a deal until they charge for every other thing. The information regarding what bag can be carried on without a fee is very confusing. We paid and then saw people rolling cases and putting them in the overhead bin. The seat prices are ridiculous so you don't want to pay for a seat they will assign you for free, I was then told I had to go to the gate to get a seat assignment even though I had already purchased a ticket. I waited for almost an hour before someone showed up. I was told the only seats left were the exit rows. Luckily I am healthy. If I have paid for a ticket Frontier should guarantee me a seat. We had to wait in line even though we had already paid for our bags and some of us went on line and checked in and had boarding passes. Where is the short cut then?? It was so convoluted we will never fly Frontier again. Too much work, let me pay for the ticket and let me have a bag and give me a seat for crying out loud. The flight crew was great. Very nice."
Pros: "Crew was kind and helpful."
Cons: "Please forward this to everyone you know! Do NOT EVER fly on Frontier Airlines!!!!!! They are a total joke and charge fees for EVERYTHING!!!!! Want to carry on a bag or push everything you need into a small backpack? Oh, need to take clothes? Well that's $40...per carry on, $60+ at the airport. Oh, you wanted to sit down? That will cost you...$10 per seat minimum, again more at the airport. Btw, those fees only cover one leg of the trip. You can save by leaving your luggage there. See how helpful we are? You think you are getting a good fare but the fees have made my trip almost three times the initial fare. United is testing similar "economy" fares. None of this information is presented upfront so it's a bait and switch scenario. Also, trying to reach a human being is nearly impossible. I feel sorry for the customer service reps, they should get hazard pay. They have to try to justify these ridiculous policies. Save yourself money and frustration and NEVER FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES!!!!!!!"
Cons: "They gave our captain to an Atlanta flight. We had to wait for another captain to get to DIA. Then we got loaded up and had to wait for the east gate to open, then they had to map out another plan I.e., the northeast gate (and that didn't materialize) soooo we sat on the plane until we receive the okay to depart on "the east gate". Which was approximately 21:30. We finally arrived at approximately 01:00 a little more than hour late. It took better than 30 minutes for us to get our luggage. Stupid crazy that a person is paying ridiculous prices for pitiful customer service."
Pros: "Kindness and consideration and the understanding of their staff."
Cons: "Have to pay so much for luggage thought I was really getting a great deal but really was the same as the other airlines give or take."
Pros: "The landing was good."
Cons: "$40 for a carry on? Come on now. $5 seat upcharge because "window seat"? Chairs that don't recline? You interrupt my already terrible nap so you can try to sell the entire plane your "no-black-outs" Mastercard. The cabin was much too hot, people complained and nothing was done -- adding insult to injury, water costs money. Every aspect of buying a ticket is littered with popups to upsell you to something "better" or more "exclusive". The entire experience from buying a ticket to touch-down was dehumanizing and an insult my intelligence."
Pros: "The flights took off and landed on time. Boarding went pretty quickly."
Cons: "The planes were old, made strange noises, no Wi-Fi, TV, or any amenities. Seemed way more cramped than other airlines. Expect to wait in an extremely long line to check in. The first flight, the plane made a very strange noise at the wing till we had been in the air for a long time. The connecting flight, the flight attendant told us that the plane had weight or balance issues, and we were all seated the way we needed to be for the plane to fly properly, so we could not change seats (a portion of the middle of the plane had empty seats). It was extremely uncomfortable, as the seats didn't recline at all, and I'm extremely short, but was cramped up against the seat in front of me. Only one arm rest that was about an inch & a half wide per seat. Also, I think they offered soda, but no snacks. They charge for all baggage, the carry on bag costs $45, while the checked bag is $40 ($80 for 2 checked bags one way), & they have specific "linear" dimensions for the size of the CHECKED bags, or they will charge something like $100 extra. Even though the actual flight was cheap, the price of baggage & feeling so cramped, & scared that the plane wasn't working properly, I wouldn't fly this airline again."
Pros: "Not much...if you don't care about comfort or paying extra for everything that other airlines include or charge less for, this is the airline for you."
Cons: "This was my first frontier flight and I plan to not take them again. My total flight cost came out to be the same as a normal flight on better airlines after all was said and done. The base price of the flight is cheaper than others, but just know that the add-ons is where they get you. Paying for every little thing is absolutely ridiculous (60$ for checked bag round trip, seating assignments that ranged from $15-$27 but the type of seat or leg room does not change between those prices, only water was available for free...all other sodas and juices cost money). Be prepared to pay for your carry on as well if it doesn't fit under your seat infront of you. On top of this, the seats are like sitting in plastic folding chairs. No cushioning on seat or back and they do not recline, which makes paying extra for a seat even more frustrating. No wifi or in flight entertainment on board either...this is the 21st century, if other 'budget' airlines can provide the minimum of wifi then frontier should as well, to make up for everything I stated above. The flight attendants were fine, nothing spectacular though. I've had friendlier attendants on other flights. A man a few rows behind me threw up as we were preparing to land as well. I know this has nothing to do with the flight, but it was the first time I've had something like that occur on a flight."
Pros: "I really did not feel any more crowded or uncomfortable than any other airplane Ive been on. I sort of like that the tray tables are the size of a large cell phone- less bulky than regular tray tables."
Cons: "The crew wasn't bad, just seemed unhappy to be there. There was some confusion with which gate we should be at, changed us three times before settling on the original gate. Boarding was no problem but then we waited without taking off for over 45 minutes. The pilot came over the intercom and informed us that he had no idea why we were delayed to take off, but that he would "find shortcuts" to get us there on time. The biggest gripe that we have is once we landed and went to baggage, several of us waited for golf clubs for close to an hour before a worker realized "they forgot" to turn on the button to allow oversized items to come out. Then she said "sorry I was busy with ticketing and Frontier doesn't have a baggage attendant". I just dont think the extra savings was quite worth the frustration."
Cons: "Missed the flight and NO ONE was able to help out even though I have booked with frontier many times before."
Pros: "We did not crash. I appreciated that. Also, we made slightly faster time than planned."
Cons: "I had no idea that a *carry on* costs $30. That's just obscene. My GF and I took a weekend trip to Utah and brought only our backpacks because we didn't want to spend the extra dough. Lame. At Frontier, you don't even get to choose your seats without paying extra money. If you want to guarantee that you can sit in the absolute worst seats on the plane that's gonna cost you an extra $5. Sure hope we get to sit together! Lame. The seats were one step above folding lawn chairs. Lame. When the flight crew refers to the 6 inch by 3 inch "table" as a "barbie tray" that makes it funny, but no less lame. Before this flight I truly had no opinion about which airline I should fly, but now I do have a preference... Literally anyone other than Frontier."
Pros: "The flight was on time."
Cons: "The crew people at the Frontier check-in desk were very unhelpful and rude. We missed our flight because we arrived at the counter to check our bags past the cutoff time to be checked in by 1 minute (due to long lines). That was partially our fault but the representative who was helping us did absolutely nothing to help us problem solve and seemed almost pleased to tell us that she couldn't take our bags. I rarely see such bad customer service. I have heard that Frontier pays their staff very poorly compared to other airlines and I assume this is why the customer service reps are so jaded."
Pros: "The attendants smiled at me on the way on... and that's about it."
Cons: "Although the flight itself was cheaper than competitors initially being charged for every single thing made it more expensive in the end and I felt like they cared more about taking my money than me as a consumer. After all the charges I ended up paying more than flying another airline. They charged for food (even snacks for my kid), seating (it's necessary that my wife and I sit together with a 1 year old), carry-ons (which are ridiculously overpriced), and checked bags (normal for airlines although they charged more than Delta and United). In the end I paid about $50 more than I would have flying DELTA. The plain didn't have wifi so my kid could watch something during the flight, and the seats didn't recline. Further, my son wasn't listed on our boarding passes so they made us wait until everyone else had boarded to get us new boarding passes because there was only 1 attendant. Even after printing new passes they didn't work. The flight was delayed and then, because there was only a single attendant, we were extremely late to our next flight. They were so late that even with a two hour delay we wouldn't have made our connecting flight except that it was our connecting flight."
Pros: "I liked that I made it to my destination and that the return flight was on time."
Cons: "My departure was a nightmare. I was in the airport from 8pm to 3am. And that's just for an hour flight. It incontinence my family who had to pick me up. No pilot could be found, then a flight attendant was not counted for so the second delay happen. When we finally made it to our destination we must have waited 25min on the plane which seemed like an eternity. They didn't have a gate ready and it took time to find airport personnel to help us with a port to exit the plane. Now granted Frotier sent me a flight voucher as an apology but I am still very frustrated that I kept telling my family that it was still delayed. He didn't sleep hardly anything. And it took a toll on my holiday family visit."
Pros: "Not much to like other than the cost of the ticket, they kept us unmoving on the runway for almost an hour, before taking off, boarding was at 2:50 pm, flight was supposed to be 3:25 pm, we didn't actually take off till 4:15, scheduled arrival was at 9 pm, and we arrived 9:20, and weren't able to deplane till 9:35, and ended up standing around baggage claim for over thirty mins waiting for our luggage, frontier might have some good ticket prices, but next time I'm willing to pay more, if it means better service"
Pros: "I was very surprised at all of the small things and extra charges that you had for the flight. For example, even just paying for a soda on board I thought was a little overboard. And then once my flight was canceled they were of no help on rescheduling my flight and were not able to find another frontier flight for four more days. Myself and others were left to reschedule our own flights without any repayment of the difference in ticket price. I will not fly this airline again I caution everyone else at the lack of customer support and professionalism ."
Pros: "Frontier has constant hidden charges. I flew to my destination using my Frontier phone app and when I went to fly back I was not able to submit on Frontier's boarding pass on my phone Frontier phone app. I had to use a computer which caused me to delay my boarding pass and the reason Frontier did not let me get my boarding pass on the phone app as Frontier wanted me to choose a seat and charge additional charges. I did not accept this choice and let Frontier choose my seat for no cost. Frontier needs to change to access your boarding pass on their phone app. I could see the boarding pass on the app after I went into a regular computer and kept saying "NO" to additional cost of baggage and seating cost. The Frontier airlines seats do not recline and are hard plastic seats and not comfortable. (I only weight 125 lbs) Also, during the flight I had to hear the commercial of Frontier credit card commercials over the loud speaker. I wanted to sleep not listen to commercials of their credit card. They charge for all food and drinks except water which is fine since it was only a 2 hour flight."
Pros: "Nothing. I will not be paying for this flight."
Cons: "I missed this flight because my train trip delayed my arrival to the airport until 30 minutes til flight time. There's this rule that Frontier had, on a sign on the vacant desk that said that check-in ended 45 minutes prior to boarding, as well as checking bags. I had missed the window, so I missed the flight. It was not my fault. Also, the travel insurance I'd bought could do nothing for me in this case. Another passenger was in the same predicament and was very upset. I ended up getting a flight on Southwest last minute at the counter down the row in the airport and making it safely to my destination, even though it was a hassle. Southwest is a real airline and they always come through."
Cons: "I understand that a lot of flights are charging for snacks and drinks these days and calling it a la carte (to make it sound fancy enough to justify the expense), but it is ridiculous to be expected to pay $3 for a bag of pretzels or a soda on a flight. Hiding that cost in the price of the ticket gives a MUCH better impression than being on the flight and waiting for the long-standing cherished ritual of accepting your meager snack, only to find that you have to pay $6 for it. Between this and the overall discomfort of the seats (they didn't recline, so I couldn't nap), the lack of in-flight magazine (if I can't nap, can't I at least pass the time with a crossword?), the carry-on fee, and the fact that the flight crew reminded us four or five times that they were also the clean-up crew so we should help them out by not littering, it was the most uncomfortable of any flight I have ever taken."
Pros: "Flight was still comfortable, considering we had to fly over a lighting storm."
Cons: "the price for the trip does not include that you have to pay for Carry-on, and seat assignment, which is an odd expense to passengers. Especially for shorter trips with the round trip the carry on charge would equal up to at least $60. Which would equal to another airline who is comparatively better especially because those airlines aren't worrying about charging the customers for every single thing. So even though I comparison shop for my ticket, by the time I paid for these additional fees, I could have purchased a ticket from another airline for less money."
Cons: "Our flight was oversold. They bumped 27 people do to a "downgrade" of the flight to a smaller plane. This meant they avoid full compensation do to FAA rules. Got bumped 24 hours because Frontier does not partner with other airlines. Despite never having been given a seat assignment they didn't standby tag my checked luggage and sent it ahead so I had to stay an extra night without a change of clothes, etc. Next day the flight was oversold again and they bumped another 25 people. Every flight this trip left and arrived late. The pilot explained that the baggage handlers were in a contract dispute with management as they were overworked and underpaid. As a result they were also short staffed. Saw many miss connecting flights as a result. I will never fly Frontier again."
Pros: "Flight was cheap AF. Paid a total of $416 for two from Wisconsin to Salt Lake City, laying over in Denver, (price includes bag fees - we combined into one checked bag at $25 each way)."
Cons: "3 of the 4 portions of our flight had delays. On the way out, we were stalled on the tarmac waiting for a crew to unload us at our layover in Denver (an hour wait, and while it didn't affect us, a couple of passengers missed their layover). On the return trip, both our morning flight and our second flight after the layover were delayed (each delay lasted only an hour or so), but it is the fact that every step of the way had a delay that was so frustrating to my significant other. Personally, I knew going in that Frontier wasn't the most timely or comfortable team, but they got us to and from our wedding, so they got the job done. Just win, baby."
Pros: "The crew was excellent."
Cons: "This is definitely the bottom of the heap when it comes to airlines. They offer a competitive price on a flight, but once booked they nickel and dime you until the price is higher than a better airline. They charge for seat choice on the whole plane, snacks and drinks, carry on and checked luggage, and there is no entertainment. Plus the seats felt like cardboard, and didn't recline. Definitely not a good choice for a red eye, or any flight over an hour long. Actually, no matter how short your flight is, you'll probably be more comfortable taking the bus. Two big thumbs down."
Pros: "Although there were delays we arrived at our final destination within 20 minutes. The baggage fees did help keep a lot of people from bringing on bags which helped to get the plane boarded faster. The ticketing counter staff person (female) was brilliant working two workstations to help move the line because the kiosks were not functioning (while one workstation was printing she used another workstation to start the next customer) and she did it with a big smile and was very pleasant."
Cons: "When I purchase an airplane ticket I think my seat should come with the price of the ticket. I had to check in 24 hours before the flight just to get a free seat and then I still ended up paying for one more seat. I needed to pay a baggage fee for a checked or carry on bag. We opted for the checked bag because it was cheaper. Snacks needed to be purchased as well at outrageous prices, two cans of soda and two snacks for $8.99, WOW! The seats did not recline. Flight delays were not explained."
Cons: "While I am thankful that we made it back to the airport after some mechanical issues. I called Frontier and ask them to get me on a different flight that night or first thing the next morning. They would not help me. They kept telling me I had to talk to the agents in the terminal. There were 200 other people standing in line waiting to be helped. They offered no alternative. Wouldn't even book me with another airline to get me to my destination. The best Frontier customer service on the phone would do was changed my flight to Saturday night. Which did not good since I was coming back from my trip on Sunday."
Pros: "I liked the crew, they were very personable and nice."
Cons: "Charging $40 per carry on? Are you kidding me?? We didn't budget for that and almost had to fly with no luggage. For this reason alone we are never taking another flight from Frontier. It's bad enough that Frontier charges for all baggage, but we had no idea when we bought the tickets off Kayak, that it would be an extra $130 for luggage. What a rip off. Then at the airport, the line to get a baggage ticket wasn't that long, but it took almost 45 minutes. Every time we fly Southwest or Delta, it takes only 10 minutes to get our baggage tagged and on our way to security. I was also unpleasantly surprised that even water costs $2. Other airlines give a free drink, but Frontier charges $2. Terrible. And the seats don't recline. In summary for areas to improve: don't charge me for carry on and don't charge me for water."
Pros: "The price was excellent and staff very friendly. Landing in STL was very smooth...pilot did a super job."
Cons: "There was a mix-up in the baggage loading, thus we were delayed about 40 minutes or so...it seemed longer since it was a late flight. The attendants were very nice, air-conditioning made it all comfortable during the long wait. I totally understand how accidents can happen and I think the crew handled the delay very well. The attendant was very nice and during refreshment service, my daughter asked for 2 glasses of water and she gave them to us. We had not planned to be on the plane so long so I had not brought along anything to drink. All in all, it was a good flight. Thank you."
Cons: "-flight got delayed for almost two hours without explanation and so missed connection - stayed another 1 and half hours at an airport nearby the destination because run out of gas -stand in the line from 10pm to 2:30am at the gate customer service desk to look for possible flight and found no seat available for the next 3 days - whole family stayed overnight at the airport due to missed connection but they didn't provide any voucher -have to spend another $1600 to change carrier but got only less than a quarter refund - they charge for carry on"
Pros: "The only thing I liked about the flight is that we reached our destination safely."
Cons: "I didn't like how the airline didn't stick to their schedule. I understand that flights get delayed often.gut for a flight to get delayed 3 times is ridiculous. Our flight was supposed to leave at 5:20pm MTD and land on Atlanta before 11pm EST. We were notified about the delay about less than an hour before the flight. It was pushed to 5:50. Then 6:25. The actual flight didn't leave until almost 7:30 pm and landed in Atlanta passed 1am. This caused me south inconvenience. First, I had to take a half day off from work when I could've worked and got paid a full day. Next, the airline wasted hours of my time I can't get back. Time I could've spent with my family that I'm only seeing for a short period of time. By the time we got to the airport, which was way later than expected, the concourse trains were not operating anymore. What should've been a quick ride from concourse D to T turned out to be a 20+ minute walk to get out of the airport. Lastly, I missed my ride after getting of the airport. I was supposed to ride the train (Marta), but due to the delay, I missed the last ride. Not only was I inconvenienced but it trickled down to my family and had to wake up on the wie hours of the morning to pick me up at 2am. Overall, it was a terrible experience."
Cons: "Given the expense of using commercial air for a couple of hours, would it be too much trouble for a company to care about its passengers? Even water was barely offered. I had to make a request. A woman who was claustrophobic had to endure a 4 hour flight in a seat that would have been fine for others, but clearly difficult for her, because crew wouldn't make an effort to find someone who might switch seats with her. Even carry-on luggage is now extra charge? No entertainment and stow tables too tiny for even a personal laptop/notebook. Are the companies cheap because they're broke or did the price of gas go up?? Other people's incomes aren't exactly stellar. Please look at the statistics. These are your primary customers."
Cons: "They charge more to carry-on than to check. By the time they made that clear, it was too late to check and they just threatened to raise it from $40 to $60 if I didn't act quickly. Everyone involved—from the gate attendant to customer service—has an impatient, condescending response about how these policy was made clear at the time of purchase. They are obviously very well practiced at explaining their ostensibly clear policies to throngs of ignorant masses who somehow didn't understand them when they purchased their ticket. In fact, their speech is so well rehearsed that you'd almost—almost!—start to question if they have actually made their baggage policies as clear as they think."
Pros: "I loved the price of the tickets. My children spend the summer between Iowa and Alabama. So we travel a lot. I normally drive to Kentucky to meet up with Grandma to let them go north for part of the summer. However, this year I have planned a honeymoon, and even planned going to Virginia two weekends back to back. I thought I would fly to St. Louis from Atlanta to cut down on the driving. (I tend to get sick on road trips anyway, a flight would be nice). I found these tickets for around $50 each. I needed 3. Got them. The flight to St Louis was quick. We landed 20 mins ahead of schedule. (Made my return trip great as I was back on the same plane and was sorta freaking out about making it back to the gate in time) Landed in St Louis walked to baggage claim met up with Grandma returned with time to spare. The return flight was the same. I did not like the seats. I ended up with a massive migraine no fault of the airline but I would have loved to have been a little more comfortable. It has been a long time from my last flight and this one. The price of baggage went up. (As well as tickets which is one reason its been a while) I did notice that the airline is wanting you to prepay for baggage when you purchase the tickets. In the long run makes in SO MUCH EASIER! And with the most recent issues with TSA and getting through security that speeds things up. I paid for one checked bag. And using the frontier site was cheaper than I would have been charged at the airport. Overall I can't complain. I did make it to and from my destination on time and safely. My bag was in one piece. The seats not being the best is a minor detail. Oh. And unlike some of the other flights this one did not offer free drinks and snacks. I've flown Southwest, and Delta I was offered a soft drink and a small bag of something. I was offered to purchase these from this line. Found it odd."
Pros: "The cabin was clean, and the staff was friendly."
Cons: "I was disappointed in the surprise costs of luggage. I packed everything in a carryon so that I wouldn't have to pay for a check bag, but turns out a carry on costs $40 at check in. I understand it was a cheap flight, but I may have made a different decision if I knew there was an extra hidden cost of $80 round trip. On other notes, on the first flight of my two, the plane was swerving back and forth on takeoff and landing. The weather was fine, and I've flown plenty enough to know this wasn't normal. My second flight was fine. It was on the same plane, but the crew changed, so I guess it was pilot causing it to be this way? The seats were uncomfortable in coach for long periods of time compared to other airlines, and did not recline."
Pros: "Crew was friendly. Plane was clean."
Cons: "When booking and checking in, no opportunity to enter Known Traveler ID number, so did not get TSA precheck. No information when booking about additional charges - $30 for a carry-on bag?? additional fees almost doubled the price of the ticket. On the flight, the volume of pilot announcements were very loud, crew said it was a new plane and the volume wasn't adjusted yet. I have never been on a flight where I had to pay for water! I have since learned Frontier doesn't allow TSA precheck - will never fly this airline again for that reason."
Cons: "Due to failure of communication with a mechanical problem, we were forced off the plane after waiting almost an hour to take off. The staff would not say what the problem was but kept pushing the estimated departure time further and further back. After waiting three hours I finally took the initiative to go in line to the desk to find an alternate route, after already missing my connecting flight. The staff redirected me through Chicago instead of Denver as was originally expected, but failed to redirect my luggage. Upon arrival in Minneapolis my luggage was lost. Being understaffed, it took another half an hour for a staff member to show up, but they could not explain what happened to our luggage. Instead of figuring out the problem, they had us fill out an information sheet and told us, "when they find your luggage they will call you". They tried calling a supervisor to help us but after an hour wait on the supervisor I finally left the airport, six and a half hours after originally expected."
Pros: "Never flew with any other airlines aside from United until I flew for the first time with Frontier. I have to say, I had a pretty good experience. I didn't expect the best accomidations compared with a major airline. But for a budget airline, I'm actually surprised and happy that there was a straight flight from MCO to STL. I couldn't find other airlines with a straight flight. I also loved how helpful the ticketing personel and boarding employee helped me out and answered some of my concerns. They were super polite and quick to help. They also had a very relaxed/laid back attitude I liked."
Cons: "I understand it's a budget airlines, but I didn't like the fact that you aren't allowed a carry-on item unless you purchase one. Most other airlines would allow one free carry-on and one free personal item. Due to this, I didn't get to pack as much as I needed for my trip. And also, it was not informed that guest had to pay for a carry-on. I was lucky enough to call the hq a day before my flight. It just so happened to be one of my concerning questions. The flight attendants were overall okay, but there were some instances that I felt they were incompetent but also not as thorough. I had trash to throw away and they passed me 3 times before I was able to throw it away. Plus I turned on my assistance light so they would come pick it up, but it took them a good 15/20 minutes to finally check in me and by that time my trash was already picked up. The seats and trays aren't as comfortable as I hoped. And I get it's a budget airlines, but that's also the reason why my flight was less comfortable or entertaining."
Pros: "The crew was very professional and very nice. The equipment was new and clean, which is also greatly appreciated. Excellent job in these two areas."
Cons: "Absolutely do not like that Frontier Airlines does not offer TSA Pre-Check service for its passengers who are enrolled in the program. I was not aware of this ahead of time, but it was confirmed to me after looking at my ticketing and speaking with several TSA agents from my departing airport, Orlando (MCO). They said Frontier is one of the very few carriers that do not participate in this program for some reason. I would love to know what that reason is? This is a very important feature for me. Without a good reason for not offering this service, I must say I am far less likely to chose Frontier in the future, along with having to make recommendations to my colleagues to avoid Frontier for this reason for their travel needs as well."
Pros: "Considering I almost didn't get a seat in the plane even though I paid for my flight prior to the fly day, there isn't much that I did like. However, I do realize that it was not any of the crews fault. With that being said, I loved how informational and informative and polite the flight crew was. Even the pilot had great communication with us and the flight attendants."
Cons: "Well where should I start. Talk about delay and they wouldn't even up date up on the delays either. When I would walk up to the desk and ask he was too busy to answer any of my questions. I also got there early and I aparntly didn't have a seat on the plane! I was going home to supruze my father for easter and there was no way I could have gone any later. I waited for everyone else to line up and go inside and get their seat because I noticed that my ticket has NN on my seat number and my zone was 99. This is very uncalled for. Considering that I payed an outrageous cost for one damn flight to Illinois in which I know you all do every night! They closed the doors to the hallway to the plane and informed not only myself but 3 others to go to the desk and they would figure out what they could! THERE WAS A WOMEN WHO HAD BEEN TRYING TO GET HOME FOR 3 DAYS. So you obviously had screwed her over and now you were about to screw all of us. Now I will say yes I am very upset with you at Frontier. But I was not about to take it out on the people working at the airport. The companies practice of overbooking is unexceptable during this time of year, Easter weekend, and not saving a seat for a women who has been trying to go home for three days. I am very upset and my ticket was very overpriced. Specially for how I got treated, due to he overbooking. Now they had one seat saved/ left over and because I kept my calm and didn't yell at your workers inside he airport they offered it to me. But if it was not for my calmness I would not be home with my family. That right there is unexceprtable!"
