It was a no frills flights, but had to pay $162 extra for one bag! Cheap flight but no drink either!
Volotea cancel my flight and never refunded my money despite many attempts by me to get it back. I will never book with them again.
Excellent and way much better than the last two flights I made with Swiss and with BA. It is amazing how much difference a well trained and polite team can make. Hats off Volotea !

A technical delay caused us to miss our connecting flight which resulted in an additional nights stay which cost us $225 as well as $800 to get on another flight. Absolute BS. I’ll never fly them again

Forced gate checking of a soft sided rucksack while allowing hard sided cases on the plane when claiming there was limited room was a bit of a joke. The boarding was a free for all with business classes not getting priority and the food was pretty bland and cold (KLM can do a hot meal on shorter European flights). For a National carrier operating from a home base I expected better. Flight was delayed in both Berlin and Munich and due to the delays I missed my ground connection costing me another £80. Had my bag not been gate checked by a overzealous gate agent doing selective enforcement for non Germans then I would have easily made the connection even with the flight delays. Think I will avoid star alliance in the future and stick to sky team or one world.
Business Class was very comfortable and the food and service was top notch.
Bought a seat in a flight that got changed out so ended up paying for a seat I would have had if I hadn't paid.
We were rebooked twice to the point that we didn’t even fly Lufthansa that day. We apparently though had to pay Lufthansa’s baggage fees for our sports luggage. The United Airlines Counter in Anchorage charged us for oversized bags, not sports luggage and told us it was Lufthansa’s fees. How is this possible?
