Cons: American Airlines in Lima refused to accept my bags 50 minutes prior to departure (not my fault, due to a delayed flight) and caused me all sorts of headaches and problems. I almost had to sleep in a hotel over night. I missed my flight because AA were idiots.

Wed received notice it was cancelled then were told we had to go to a different gate to rebook. We just happened to go back to recheck the gate as the last group was boarding. Very poorly handled. Cons: Plane was late arriving from California because of mechanical problems. Then we sat on JFK runway waiting to take off. Pilot said we'd be taking off in about 9 minutes. A half hour later we took off. In the middle of the flight a loud horn went off in the cabin. It lasted for about 20 seconds. It was really quite alarming given the earlier mechanical problems. No explanation ever given.

Pros: I took two connecting flights on American Airlines between Los Angeles and Lisbon period on the website American claims to have charging and or electrical ports in every row. There were none on either flight. To make matters worse, when my tablet and phone batteries both died before the end of the first flight, there was no inflight entertainment, other than 1 ridiculous thing available, on either flight. American has switched to BYOD for entertainment, but forgot to provide a way to charge our own devices. Incredibly stupid.
Cons: On top of that, one of the flight attendants on the Philadelphia to Lisbon run was a hella snarky guy with a bad attitude all the way through. I would be surprised if I am the first person to complain about him.

Pros: Just about everything was wonderful. Flight crew was great, infotainment centers are always a plus, and the seats are better than I remember (don’t get excited, slightly).
Cons: This was considered an international flight, as we discovered when we were directed to the international terminal. It was also a 6 hour flight so... where was the food?! We could pay upwards of $10 for 3-4 options, none of which were 100% kid friendly. What’s up with that?

Cons: They boarded the plane for the ‘on-time departure’ scam, then proceeded to do maintenance for 30 minutes, then when you think your on your way we wait another 15 minutes for takeoff. We spent more time sitting still than we did in motion. Horrible.

Cons: This flight was miserable. Seriously, one of the worst flight experiences I've ever had. The leg room was absurdly small. I'm not a tall person and I only had one inch in front of my legs. When the guy in front of me put his seat back it pressed into my knees. There wasn't enough space to bend down and untie my shoes, let alone get something out of my bag. My shoulder and knee were touching the guy next to me (a complete stranger) for the entire flight and there was nothing I could do about it. This was a red-eye but I absolutely could not sleep because it was so uncomfortable, so when we landed I had a terrible migraine and was nauseous and disoriented going through customs. I actually had to sit down in the airport because I though I was gonna pass out while trying to carry my bag, that's how shitty I felt after this flight. On top of that, not being able to sleep on the flight really messed up my sleep schedule and so jet lag from the time change has been made even worse, so I'm completely out of whack and its so much worse that it otherwise would have been because of the horrible flight. Also the food was gross and there wasn't enough of it. Even now, I don't think I have really communicated just how shitty this flight was. I was actually angry when I saw my seat upon boarding, and I'm still angry about it now.

Cons: The fact that my original seats were not given. The other issue was that Alaska wasn’t my airline but American was. They didn’t even tell me until I got to the gate, moved over to another and then got transferred over to my gate.

Pros: I really like the extra leg space compared to the previous flight on AA to Paris. The food was good. The attendants were very pleasant and professional. The boarding process was speedy.

Cons: I remember reading that Aeroflot in Russia has better customer service than United Air Lines. Well, it was on full display today on our flight from LAX to Kona repleat with the veteran battle ax barking orders at passengers; “The Bathroom is by the blue curtaaaaaaiiiins!!!!!’ Poor victim seemed utterly humiliated. Seating is cramped, seats narrow and unsupportive and the old 757’s (c. 1997) entertainment system is ancient...the touch screens seemed unresponsive, but were in fact just slow...as 5-7 seconds would elapse between touching the screen and the command being implemented. A full re-boot was ordered about 30-45 minutes into the flight. As expected, there were some bumps in the air, but we welcommed them because it required the crew to sit down, freeing us of their ultra passive agressiveness.

Cons: LAX now buses people to the planes. We stood on the bus for 45 minutes and then drove for 10 minutes on an active taxi way. The crew for united just does not seem motivated anymore on any flight. Even in first class we were offered water only 2 on a 5 hour flight. The crew just sat in the front and looked at their phones. The food made me sick for two days - so it is better to just not eat it and bring your own. It is sad as I united used to be a great airline and now they just seem to focus on what new fee they can charge.

Cons: No food on a 7 hour flight?? That comes close to torture in my book. Crossing a huge ocean = food you don't have to pay for, in my book.

Pros: The crew was friendly, and the flight time was an hour shorter than scheduled. But those are silver linings to real problems I encountered.
Cons: This flight was actually from Denver to Kona. There was 1.5 hour delay due to mechanical issue with plane, so we had to switch gates and planes. That wasn't so bad. What made it bad was an extra 45 minute delay because apparently maintenance forgot to sign off on the new plane. Also, the space below the seat for my feet and carry-on was unacceptable. All the aisle seats like mine had only half the space of the window seats for their feet. If you're in an aisle seat on that plane, it's impossible to fit anything but the size of a small purse under the seat in front of you. And the middle seat fares only a bit better. Finally, with 7 hours of flight time plus about an hour waiting to depart from gate on plane, the crew ignorantly decided to hand out the Hawaii form to fill out within 2 minutes of preparing to land. Many people didn't have time to fill out the form before being required to put tray tables up. Fortunately, these forms aren't as serious as going thru customs, but it's stupid to pass out the forms that late into the flight expecting people to complete them.

Cons: It was SO hot on plane, I was miserable the whole flight. It started out with a delay on the tarmac due to the air conditioning not working. We had to wait for maintenance to fix that. That wasn’t a big deal to me. We didn’t have a connecting flight to catch, so we were understanding....things happen. The problem for me began when HOT air was blowing on my legs the WHOLE flight. I was miserable! They only had pizza for purchase which did NOT sound appetizing in that heat. It was a terribly long flight and I was so happy to land and get off!!

Pros: The boarding was fast and easy. The crew were friendly and accommodating. The entertainment was bring your own phone, tablet or computer to watch movies over wifi. We could not access our United account so we could not watch the movies, which was lame for a 5 hour flight. The food was also unpleasant as usual. You'd think a multimillion dollar airline could afford to feed people more than drinks and a cookie. What happened to the hospitality of the industry? If you came to my house for 5 hours and I gave you one cookie and a beverage maybe two you would think I was rude or down right cheap.
Cons: The crew were wonderful. My husband was on a business trip and I was able to sit with him. The staff didn't wake me up and they were generous with the sodas.

Cons: United airlines employee Mearle at the check in counter was extremely disrespectful, Rude, and arrogant towards everyone in line at the counter Trying to check in. Many customers including us waitted in the check in line for 35 minutes or more while Mearle proceeded to chat on her cell phone (personal call), and taking a break leaning the check in counter while everyone waited on her so she could assist with check in. Finally the passengers in front of us voice their concern to mearle stating that everyone is going to miss theirs flights if she didn't assist us all right away. Mearle responded by snapping back by saying "it's not my fault that united keep us understaffed and pay us enough to care " then laughed and walked away again. At this point we realized that if we did not get immediate assistance, that we would surly miss our flight. I walked in front of the line on behalf of everyone standing in line and reiterated to Mearle in a firm tone that she insisting check in the remaining 12 passengers immediately. Mearle snapped back telling me to "worry about my own self and don't tell me how to do my own job". Feeling very stressed out And worried about missing my flight went and stood back in line again. A few moments later I over heard Mearle tell the passengers ahead of us " you're too late. You've missed your flight" these passengers became very upset with Mearle telling her that she's the reason they missed the flight and Mearle laughed and said out loud to everyone else in line.. "you all missed your flight. You all should be more responsible next time and get here earlier" and then Mearle walked away never to be see again. Many of us missed our flight which caused many of us to also miss our connecting flights. We immediately called the 800 number and filed a complaint. Then we were forced to drive three hours in traffic to LAX where we caught a later flight and barely made it to our destination in time for our work event. We swore that because of Mearle and her disgusting behavior that we will never ever fly united again (and I fly a lot for my job) and since that horrible experience with Mearle two months ago, I've flown on four trips spending over $2300 dollars and every flight has been booked through American Airlines. Do to Mearle's bad attitude, disrespectful personality, and poor representation of united we will never do business with united again. We suggest united airlines remove Mearle from Having any contact with the general public as we are sure that Mearle is loosing customers for united at a very rapid pace.

Pros: The sub zero weather of South Bend left me and many others at the Airport without any choice but to await the delay to Chicago. Luckily, a fellow traveler offered me a ride to Chicago. Once arrived at O'Hare, the folks at the United counter made every effort to place back on track for my original ETA to SFO!

Cons: You had to pay for internet service in order to watch the free movies.

Pros: The flight was to depart at 8:15 but due to delay only leaving at 3;30. Dissapointed as it took two agents to process a replacement flight (first agent offered a connection for a 1.5h flight only).

Pros: What a difference a plane makes. Traveling on the embraer plane versus the CRJ700 is night and day. I can't believe that the price is the same for these flights! There is entertainment available inflight. There is more room overhead, more room in the aisle, two bathrooms, on and on...this flight was so much better. I will make sure that I never book on the CRJ700 flight to Houston again if I can avoid it!

UA staff also, at the outset of the flight, attempted to confiscate all food and drink items from passengers, so that UA could immediately sell food and drink items to passengers.
